JDeck shows us a wip Sandtrooper Squad...
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, October 31 2014
"This is the start of a sandtrooper special forces diorama I'm working on. I wanted them to have a Laurence of Arabia type look but in star wars fashion. I resurfaced and repainted the Walmart exclusive dewback to look more like a desert dweller." I like the look of this so far!

Krash Override is back with an update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, October 31 2014
"The Final touches on Lego Jack Skelington was his Bat Bow-Tie. I ended up casting the bow-tie on the same piece of plastic that I had sculpted it on. Not the best detail but the thing is so small that it doesn't really need a whole lot. All and all, I think it came out good enough for the scale." I do too and is a nice touch for Halloween!

Camo Deafie is back with new artwork...
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, October 31 2014
"Been busy with family, life and stuff in general...still didn't stop me from drawing these TIE variants! Three TIE Advanced fighters, one is the X-1 (Vader's personal rig) with repaired wing panels that is basically a hint towards the Interceptor shape... then the Interceptor developmental prototype/Advanced X-3A with same wing panels as the repaired X-1, and then the third fighter Prototype has them flipped forward, closer to the final Interceptor shape...however, there's those center panels that are there and reduces the visibility from the cockpit, though augmented by scope sensors on the outside..." It is just one great TIE Update from CD!

Mandalore25 is back with an update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, October 31 2014
"This is my Kyuzo Sith Warrior named Darth Fovos with a custom lightwhip. I found this solid rubber cord that is simi-translucent and highly flexible that I though was perfect for lightwhips. I'm looking for other colors now and might start selling small lots of lightwips. Bought some new fabric glue, and I like it alot. It helps get things like the belt nice and tight." Looks good to me, a click in will show you how you can own this custom if you really like it!

Repainted it a DAK khaki then weathered it with pastel chalks and oil based paint." I think it looks pretty decent! Please also go take a look at his scratch built moisture vaporatore! Its a Kotobukiya Update from Most Wanted Collectibles!
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, October 29 2014
I have to say their latest Art FX ANH Luke and Leia Statue looks fantastic. Kotobukiya just continues to impress with their 1/10 Scale Line.

Hands down these are some of the most highly detailed statues you can buy for the price. Averaging just a little over $40 a statue I would dare you to find something similar in the price range. Matter of fact, you may want to check out all of Most Wanted's Kotobukiya Offerings as not only can you find great selection, but great deals also.

Whiskeytangos Customs shows us a 6" Armored Jedi...

We are still marveling over his six inch Darth Malgus Custom and we are very impressed also with his Armored Jedi Knight. "here's some pics of the Jedi Knight. He's made from a Clone Trooper with some sculpting and a cloth robe. I do wish I had taken the time to make his armor more accurate to the game art, but alas... I didn't. He still looks alright though, especially as some one for Malgus to beat up on."

They will have a two pack set or an individual Stormtrooper you can buy. Look for Sideshow to follow this up pretty quickly with ordering information.

This time, I decided to do a Deadpool that was extremely similar to my Deadpool using a Snake Eyes body, but decided to take on the challenge and make a Deadpool using a Blanx Alpha base. Although he's very similar in design to the snake eyes Deadpool, I realy had fun making this little dude." Looks pretty nice to me!

"Another Lady Jaye...LOL...like others as soon as I saw Wasp, I knew she was perfect for LJ. The hardest part of this custom for me, was her head on Joe bodies. Her head is just waaay too small, and I tried several female Joes. The best body for her, imo, is well...hers....sorta. I used an old MU Aurora (Alpha Flight) body from a Baroness custom I did, and just repainted, and swapped her left hand." The full image update awaits!

"I was able to finish up another custom that's been sitting in an unfinished box in my garage. I'd like to present Natasha Romanova from The Winter Soldier. Nothing too fancy here. I got a hold of an X-23 hair cast from vortiouscustomaccessories.ecrater.com, painted silver on her legs, boots, and gauntlets. Glued the holster to her thighs, and I think the difference is night and day." I have to admit the changes do change her look a good bit and I can see why he calls her Widow Black.

I've done quite a few Black Series customs so far, but I haven't decided yet if I'm going to post the backlog of them here, or only new stuff. In the mean time, heres one I just finished last week, Darth Malgus." With work that good I can but hope he shows us a few other finished pieces while he works on new projects. "Hi All, I wanted to do something different for the Scout Trooper and when I saw HALCION's & spudafett's Snow Scout versions I knew that was the way to go, and thanks for the inspiration guys. Scout trooper & Speeder - The Trooper and Speeder are from Hasbro. I started on the speeder first and pulled of the rolled cloth at the back and replaced it with a heater generator for when the Scout is riding. The heater generator was done buy using a 3-3/4" Sandtrooper back pack a 12" WW2 German torch and a tube from a 6" figure." Trust me, that is just the start of the recipe and the image set for this awesome six inch diorama.

Speaking of where you find things why not take a look at all of their Star Wars Products as you will see you have quite the selection. Yesterday he wowed us with his work on a 6" Hoth Scout Trooper and an Aqua Trooper and then he dropped this little bomb! "I decided to start on a third project and this time it's another AT-AT Gunner but this time in 6" this is going to be different from the 3-3/4" & 12" ones I have done as he is not going to be in snow out. This small cross section dio will depict the gunner on the ready with a few Stormtroopers ready to deploy." Folks these are just three projects you will want to follow!

Brian's Toys publishes review on value of Star Wars Collecting!
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, October 20 2014
"Star Wars Action Figure Collection Value Increases 108,233%

DATELINE -- Brian Semling of Brian’s Toys, Inc. announced the “Brian’s Toys 12 Back Set Index” to reflect the retail value of the original 12 Star Wars action figures for toys in near mint to mint condition. The original total retail value of these 12 toys was $24.00, or $2.00 per action figure in 1978 and has grown to a retail value of $26,000.00 in 2014. Semling made the announcement from his online store’s headquarters (Brian’s Toys) located in Fountain City, WI."

I found this article a very interesting read and while not indicative of why I collect (not planning on getting rich) it is interesting to see the historical trends!

Dorkside Toys allows you to create a veritable Jedi Army!

Talk about being proactive with that new 6" Star Wars Black Series Wave 6! They are gonna take those extra Obis and let you have em at an unheard of price of $7.99! With a price like that you can recreate the Battle of Geonosis Arena! Or perhaps create a new SW Alien Jedi or use some NECA or Marvel heads to create new EU Jedis. I mean the forecast is incredible!

Ron Hembling is his usual creative self!
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, October 20 2014
He is just downright killing me here with his work on a Hoth Scout Trooper and the Aqua Scout Trooper you see above. The creativity alone makes this worth a look, but his execution is just unparalleled. I can remember seeing an underwater Imperial Walker in some comic from a few years back and man couldn't you see it surrounded by these Troopers?! Ron, thank you so much for sharing your work and being so gracious with how you do the things you do too!

His sculpt work and creativity are amongst the best in our hobby!

Its time for update #13 on HALCION's AT-AT build...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, October 20 2014
"Drive systems in place!" He is a man of few words when it comes to his descriptions, but his pictures of this build as it comes along are nothing short of mesmerizing. As you can see by the image above he is getting closer to starting the legs for this and I was seriously worried his drive system wouldn't be strong enough to support the weight of this. Needless to say, that was pointless.

Spuda Fett is sure liking that new 6" Scout trooper and Speederbike!
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, October 20 2014
"Since I had an extra set of scout trooper shoulder pads I thought I'd use one of them to make an alternate for my stock scout trooper. I painted it up in commander orange, snapped off the original and now I can swap between the two." I have to admit that sure is a no brainer. He also added a pretty cool bit of extra fire power to the Scout Trooper Commander's Speeder Bike too.

Help Ron decide his next diorama...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, October 20 2014
"Most of you know that I love custominzing different action figure movie lines so when I saw a crossover comic cover for a Star Trek and Planet of the Apes comic I thought how cool would it be to do the apes in Trek garb. I am in three minds as to what type of dio to do and would like you guys and gals help to decide so I have added a poll." Ron sure doesn't leave the dust settle before he starts on a new project! Lets help him decide.

This has been one of the funnest tutorials I can remember from Ron in awhile. He showed this step by step and realistically none of us can say we can't give this a try sometime. "Hi All, Here are the completed pics from the Dagobah tutorial." Thanks Ron for giving us a guide and you have to be happy with how this turned out!

Candy Blues continues his Darth Plageuis six inch build...

"Hey guys, just a quick update. I was gonna wait until I finished this shin guard and leg, but Im just so pleased with my how its turning out I had share it. I'll do my best to have this leg completed tomorrow or at least have it near complete. There are some materials I think i may try and get to do the cloth affect." Looks great to me!

HALCION shows more progress on the 6" AT-AT!
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, October 19 2014
It looks like his outer hull work on this behemoth is just about complete and I must say it gets better with each new update. It looks like the boss even showed up to give this a look in person so be sure to click back in!

Spuda Fett creates a six inch Hoth Scout with Speederbike...
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, October 19 2014
"I was inspired by Halicon's 6inch snow scout to go ahead and convert one of my 6 inch scouts into my own version of the snow scout. I removed the scout trooper's shoulder pads and created new ones from styrene which are larger and follow the general pattern of the snow trooper's shoulder pads. I use a lighter to heat the plastic then form it into the bent and curved shoulder pad shape. I did the same thing to two small pieces of plastic to give the trooper armor on the back of the hands. I added a hose from the helmet's mouthpiece back to the backpack to serve as a air/heat exchange for the cold blizzard temperatures." Folks, that is just the description for the Snow Scout. Wait till you see what he did to the bike!

You can't stand not to have a figure of this magnitude!

Gentle Giant continues their awesome Kenner Jumbo Line with the Vintage Admiral Ackbar. "Inspired by the Kenner vintage Star Wars figures, Gentle Giant is proud to bring you the Rebel Alliance’s master tactician, Admiral Ackbar, in jumbo size! Renowned for his situational awareness in combat and for being one step ahead of the enemy, the fan favorite Mon Calamari admiral is just like you remember, only BIGGER.

Digitally scanned from mint 3 ¾” Kenner originals and reproduced in 12” scale to the rest of the jumbo Kenner line, no detail has been overlooked. Roto and injection molded and made of durable plastics, this fully-articulated jumbo figure includes a faithfully re-produced Admiral Staff.

To further capture the vintage feel, Gentle Giant has packaged this figure with a Return of the Jedi-inspired backer card featuring original photos and artwork. Designed with the collector in mind, the figure comes in a re-sealable plastic outer clam shell to help protect and display this limited edition figure." Click here to order yours today!

New REBELS episode Fighter Flight up on Watch Disney XD Go!
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, October 19 2014
I am still marveling at how I am able to watch these episodes online before they make an appearance on the Disney Channel, but hey it was great to see the gang back in action even if we can't find a hint of their action figure presence yet. Small spoiler alert, you will see a first glimpse and heavy dose of the Imperial Troop Transport and I for one enjoyed the new episode for that alone! Also be sure to give us your take on the new REBELS Show in our forums. We would love to know what you think about these episodes.

Its a new episode of the Realm Recap...
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, October 19 2014
"This week on The Realm Recap, we look back on the week's news covering new (and old) Black Series products hitting shelves, the continued lack of Star Wars Rebels products plus an amazing Vintage mother load that went up for auction recently. Gentle Giant sets a Vintage trap of their own with the Jumbo Kenner Admiral Ackbar, and we touch on the huge Episode VII spoiler dump." I had to chuckle when I read the title of Aisles of Dust and Shadow!

I am on my eleventh HALCION six inch AT-AT Project Update!
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, October 18 2014
He is really getting into the home stretches now from creating a six inch AT-AT Driver to have the head and body detailing done and now he is working on the undercarriage for what will no doubt have to be a pretty sturdy construction due to the weight of this thing. I must say I never thought you could turn PVC Pipe Fittings into Walker Parts, but click on through and see what he is doing.

Ron Hembling adds more to his Dagobah Diorama...
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, October 18 2014
"R2D2 update.

Pic 19 - I first superglued all R2's joints and the removed the little taps from the two forward door hatches and teh top of his head. Once they were removed I sanded the factory seams with fine sandpaper.

Pic 22 - Using a lead pencil get some fine sandpaper and make the pencil tip very sharp and don't throw the excess as you will need it. Once the pencil is sharp go around the grooves and lines and this will make them stand out better and give you a more natural look. With the excess get a drybush paint brush and push it into the excess lead and brush it over the figure."

Folks, trust me there are a lot more steps than this one to see when you hit the aforementioned link to see how he really created an awesome muddied up R2-D2 that can really be called a Dagobah R2! Make sure you scroll down to see it all. He is really creating an awesome tutorial for us this time!

Did you read the latest Tales From The Clone Wars?
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, October 18 2014
If not, I definitely wanted to get this link back on the front page. Graphic Fiction Artist Kualan has woven a tale of TOR Intrigue in this chapter. It looks like my new favorite villian Lord Tok is making some decisions about his aspirations as a Sith Lord. I don't want to give too much more away, but the story-line is full of action and character development and really gives The Clone Wars Fans something to hold onto during their dark time when REBELS and Episode VII is dominating fandom.

Grincy shows us a Kenny Baker R2!

Most Wanted Collectibles finishes out our AT-AT morning!
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, October 17 2014
Between HALCION's new work on both his six inch scale vehicle and Driver I couldn't help but use this one for our weekly MWC Update. The Gentle Giant SDCC Exclusive Kenner Jumbo AT-AT Driver is just fantastic and you can't help but want one in your own collection!

At only $67 this is a great deal less than even PGM Folks were able to get from Gentle Giant LTD themselves. Like I have said before, I don't know how they do it, but suffice to say is they are the cheapest place I have found for Gentle Giant Items period. Give em a look see and tell em the Tamer sent ya!

HALCION creates a six inch custom AT-AT Driver...
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, October 17 2014
"This was a much needed addition to the AT-AT being built!" Well I for one couldn't agree more. He has cobbled together a 6 inch Storm Trooper, Scout Trooper, and Pilot Luke into a custom I would love to own. I also really enjoyed his take on the chest box and it really looks substantial!

Ron Hembling adds more to his Dagobah Diorama...
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, October 17 2014
"Hi All, Another update. Pic 14 - The water affects has nearly dried clear ready for the water to be poured. Pic 15 - Woodland Scenics Realistic Water was mixed with some green paint and a very small amount brown paint. Once poured I added model railway shrubs which were broken up and mixed in with the water." Folks, his water effect is so cool. I mean it looks just like the swamp we remember from Episode V!

HALCION is back with a new 6" Scale AT-AT Update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, October 17 2014
"Rear hull is almost done!" Folks, the detail on this is just incredible. I haven't been so excited for a custom build in a long time. It seems with each step he gets closer to finishing this is showing us how fantastic true to scale vehicles can be. Hasbro, I know it would be expensive, I know it would be huge, I know it would be cost prohibitive, but if you ever made something half this cool you could produce it in large numbers and still wouldn't be able to keep it on the shelves or palettes (this behemoth is gargantuan).

Barmic Rin is back with an update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, October 17 2014
"Hey everyone! It's been a while since I posted any of my stuff, so I thought I'd share some bits I'm working on, pretty much of them will have a ton of work done on them before they're finished. Its good to see him back with a customs update!

Clonesniper78 is back with an update...

MAXX Replicas creates a video for his ILM Episode V Diorama...
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, October 17 2014
One of the neatest things I have seen in awhile, and with the latest customs I am seeing that is saying something, MR has just amazed us all with his faithful reproduction of an ILM Set that was used during the filming of Episode 5. Give the video a look see and then be sure to visit his thread in the forums for the pictorial.

Killer Panda is back...

"Well, I have been working on several things at the same time so that has kept me from finishing any of my projects (i.e. AT-HK, troopers, etc) but here are some helmets being sculpted and hopefully in the following weeks I will complete my other projects that are in a more a advanced stage." There are some great sculpts in there!

HALCION shows more progress on his 6" AT-AT!
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, October 16 2014
He is showing more work on the rear armor and casing for what is rapidly becoming one of my favorite customs of all time. This behemoth looks like it is gonna be over 5 feet tall and I am anxious to see him start work on the leg portion of this. It has to weigh a good bit and it will be interesting to see how he handles this with the legs.

It is set concurrently with BRAIN, explaining Chewbacca's absence. Smeagol92055 shows how to replace a head!
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, October 15 2014
So I've had this Helljumper figure for a while and I lost his head a while back. (Don't ask, silly story.) Anyway, I bought a Halo: Reach figure. So, I did what any red-blooded customizer would do: I went out and bought a super-cheap $2 GI Joe knockoff, decapitated him, dremeled out his skull, and made an alt head for the figure! Now he can take his bucket off in between skirmishes." It looks great to me!

Ron Hembling adds more to his Dagobah Diorama...
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, October 15 2014
"More updates. Pic 7, 8 & 9- Ground work has been done by mixing dried garden dirt, potty mix and ground up leaves together and then covering the base with PVA glue and then the ground mixer was added and then let dry for at least 2 hours for the ground mixer to adhere correctly." Trust me there is a lot more to see when you click in.

ST Juggernaut is back with a GOTG Update!
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, October 14 2014
"So here are my latest versions of Starlord and Drax. I actually made these quite a while before the movie came out. I based it on the picture that was released as part of the movies promotion, where all the team are in their red uniforms, which we subsequently learnt was what they wore going into the movies final battle. Through most of the movie they all wore their own clothes which didn’t match, but when making a custom team such as this, I really wanted to make the versions of them all in a standard uniform, so I opted for this red one. I will hopefully get to making Rocket, Gamora and even Groot to finish off the team, but I have a lot of work to do as I’ve only started Rocket thus far." The sculpt work from this artist is incredible!

Mandalore25 finishes his Rodian Mando...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, October 14 2014
"Finished my Rodian Mandalorian, the sculpt looks far better painted. He's a close combat specialist preferring melee weapons to firearms, but that doesn't mean he's afraid to use the pistol on his belt. Carrying a variety of weapons he switches between them in combat to prevent the enemy from predicting his strikes. His favorite of them being his Beskar hammer, that was until he bested a jedi in combat with it, now he favors the lightsaber he pried from that Jedi's hands." This is definitely and interesting custom action figure. Keep checking his figure thread as you might be able to own this one in the future!

Mandalore25 is back with an update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, October 13 2014
"This is what I've mainly been working on lately, a Rodian Mandalorian. Need to paint him up and get all of his accessories on yet, but so far I think the head sculpt turned out great. I based it off the last pic from a comic. Love the design choices in it, like no T-slit, keeping the "bug eyes" really conveys the fact it's a Rodian. I wanted a modern mandalorian look though, so I added the rangefinder, and kept the opposite facing arrows symbol on the forehead." I like the look of this one!

Lots of Star Wars Rebels news this week with new (and free) shows, the return of James Earl Jones and Kanan getting an original story in 2015. This and much more in Episode 35 of The Realm Recap!"

ST Juggernaut is back with an amazing GOTG Thanos!
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, October 12 2014
"I have been making this version of Thanos ever since I saw him in the Guardians of the Galaxy movie back at the end of July. I have been working on it steadily ever since then. So here I am just over 2 months later and he’s finally finished. The figure is in the 4 inch scale, I reckon he stands somewhere around the 8 foot mark in scale to the other figures. Its hard to see how tall he was in the movie considering he was sitting down the whole time, but looking at the scale of him I have just to take an educated guess." Folks the full recipe and more on the sculpt work are at the link. I am pretty much speechless on this one!

Ron Hembling updates us on his Dagobah Diorama...
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, October 12 2014
"Hi All, another update on the Dagobah Dio: I wanted to use a palm tree root like the one I used on my 3-3/4" Luke and Yoda dio but it was to short so I used a branches from a old tree I had in the recycle compost bag. I cut what branches off I wanted and then pinned and then superglued the smaller ones to the trunk, I then used high density foam to build up the ground work then used plaster cloth to cover the foam and build up the ground work." Thats just part of the tutorial you can see when hit the aforementioned link. It is always awesome of Ron to do a step by step for us so we can see how this is all created. He doesn't leave us much excuse not to make our own version or use those tips on another project! Thanks Ron!

I remember how cool I thought the 3.75 battlepack version of these was and now he has gone and made one in the six inch scale using the new Six Inch Scout Trooper with Speederbike. Of course I wish they (Hasbro) had given us the white version of this before the Shadow version (the one out now at TARGET). Click on through and enjoy his multi-image update. How cool will this look alongside his AT-AT when done!

Ron Hembling starts a six inch Dagobah Diorama...
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, October 11 2014
"Hi All, Here is another 6" WIP dio I'm doing that will have Luke and R2 looking for a good place to set up base camp after they ditched the X-wing on Dagobah. At the back there will the swamp and to the right there will be a large swamp tree." It is always great to see whatever project Ron of Hemble Creations is working on. I have really been enjoying his Planet of the Apes builds lately too. NECA really should have asked him to build their diorama they used at NYCC. He could have blown that dio they used away!

HALCION continues to amaze...
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, October 11 2014
Here is the story so far on his custom six inch scale AT-AT. I have to admit I have not been as excited about a project in some time, but this work is just flat out amazing. Hasbro has nixed that idea of doing a vehicle this size in that scale so we can all but see the dream develop as Brandon continues to build. His progress and speed so far have been nothing short of miraculous and hold onto something as he continues to blow us away with his update.

Entertainment Earth is having a non-mint sale!
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, October 11 2014
That means the packaging might not be C9 in grade (the one time I ordered it was though), but the figures inside will be perfect. That means you can pick yourself up some custom fodder for way cheaper than trying to pick up minty packages (if you are into that non momc thing). Remember the sale is for a limited time only so get to clicking!

Clonesniper78 is back with an update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, October 11 2014
He has painted up a six inch Custom Mandalorian with heavy laser cannon. I think the paint work and heavy firepower complement each other very well. Stay tuned to his custom figure thread as if you really like this one you just might have the chance to own him!

Bronxstalker checks back in with an update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, October 11 2014
"Ok, so here goes my second Alpha Clone. My picture (came out too dark, and if I lighten, then comes out with high contrast) and posing taking skills still aren't all that great, and I went a little heavy on the black wash. Oh well." Well I think his pics came out just fine as did his second Clone! I really like how he added some height to this custom Blanx Alpha. The before and after images are pretty drastic!

Sjefke continues his female Wookie Project...
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, October 11 2014
"Figured I'd get these posted, so the Yarders could see my painted Wookiee gal, before the podcast. She looks a little less like the Jolly Green Wookiee, Hirsute She-Hulk now. Tamer, I do like your nickname 'Wookiee Gal', but we've named her, Hachaa. The base figure is the 3.75 scale Marvel Universe She-Hulk. I've got some WIPs that I'll show later." I must say, after hearing him talk about this great custom on this new episode of CAFN, that the sculpt work on this is just fantastic. You really need to watch that show so you can see the work that went into this one!

Darth Sinister presents a different point of view...
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, October 11 2014
"Hi gang. Couldn't get one out last week but I got some tonight. These are some more Prequel re-imagining. Just like the last ones these won't have any story just the images. Hope ya'll like this batch..." Wow there are some really interesting ones in there this time folks. I especially like his re-imagining of some of the Jedi Generals!

John Caliber shares Chapter 7 of Brain of the Ark...

Hot Toys to create a Sixth Scale Stormtrooper!
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, October 11 2014
I saw images of this yesterday on the interwebs and see that forum member JKNO has started a section on it with some of the great images we have seen of this so far. I can't even imagine folks who want to build this in an army format, but wow does it look great!

Dan is conning it up!
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, October 10 2014
Well there isn't a huge Star Wars Presence this year at the Con unlike last year, but that didn't stop Dan "The Spectre" Kosa from finding all kinds of interesting things this Friday at NYCC! Don't forget to check our Facebook Page and Twitter Feed (see the buttons on the left side of this post) to see what new things he has posted!

We share our Q and A with Hasbro!
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, October 10 2014
First off we want to thank Joe Ninivaggi, the Senior Brand Manager for the Star Wars line for taking the time to not just answer, but really elaborate on our questions. Folks this is one read that will bring a smile to practically every face. For a Q and A Session with Hasbro, I can't ever remember them being so open and honest and really forthcoming about new offerings. Needless to say there might be a hint or two about some different scale vehicle offerings (hint, hint), an action figure or two, and perhaps we finally got an answer that we can all cheer for when it comes to playsets? Well, you will just to click on through and see the Full Q and A! And I would be totally remiss if I didn't give a big ole shout out to our awesome reporter Dan "The Spectre" Kosa for really delving in and then letting me send him back into the fray!

Enjoy Episode 76 of Custom Action Figure News!
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, October 10 2014
Well we got off to a bad start and google hangouts was not being as friendly as I am used too, but we did get back on track and really did have an awesome interview with the custom artist we all know as Sjefke. Jeff was just a great guest and was very patient with us as we worked out the beginning kinks. Listen to use stroll down through his custom work including Cane Addiss, Wam, and his great new Wookie Gal. Of course we always make time for Whats on the Pegs and you will see I went really Witch Blairy on that segment! As always look for us to share the download link for your favorite device on our ISY CAFN Archive Page.

Dan of the Dead gives us an update...

"Another commission based on a comic character: Odion." Well that has to be one happy customer! Man do the colors on this just pop or what! I highly suggest a click through.

Marek is back with an update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, October 10 2014

HALCION gets more work done on his 6 inch scale AT-AT!
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, October 10 2014
I am still marveling at the sheer size of this thing and HALCION is really moving along with the construction. He has the inner hull frame pretty well sorted and has even started the paint and finished up a portion of front hull section. All I can say is click on through and scroll up and down to be sure you catch all of the latest work on this project. Hasbro may have said no to a six inch scale AT-AT, but we can sure enjoy Brandon's build.

I-am-Boba-Fett is back with a new custom...
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, October 10 2014
"Another older custom figure I made just getting posted here.
Here is Grixy the Snivvian. I sculpted the back of his vest to actually cover over where I had to cut the vest in half to get it to fit onto the upper torso. I sculpted his turtleneck collar at his neck and made his custom blaster pistol too." Wow, this guy seems like he is super-poseable!

The Mad Jawa goes on the hunt...
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, October 10 2014
His new Sgt. Hound looks fantastic. I really am enjoying the mini-dio he created to go with this too. It is nice to see him back posting up and update or two. I wonder what he thinks about the new Jawas we saw presented in the four inch line by Hasbro?

Sponsor Dorkside Toys shares great new Hasbro Images...
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, October 10 2014
It is so nice to be associated with a great retailer like Dorkside Toys who sometimes get images before other outlets and they promptly share them with the fans. Well they have done so yet again, this time with some great images, carded and loose, of the upcoming six inch TIE Pilot and the repack Obi-Wan along with the first wave of the 3.75 inch Black Series (carded and loose). Use em and let em know they are compliments from Dorkside Toys and FlyGuy!

Beyond Mortality Toys shares an interesting perspective on the Hasbro Reveals...
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, October 9 2014
Martin from Beyond Mortality starts off an interesting blog post today! "Okay, so Hasbro can still surprise me. Not with their distribution which is still a nightmare, but with the selection of figures that they’re coming out. Black Series. Rebels. Saga Legends. 6″ and 3.75″. As a retailer looking at the pics floating up on The Imperial Shipyard’s twitter feed, I gotta say I feel excited. Not just because I’m a retailer, but also because I collect Star Wars like a junky collects dirty needles. I also enjoyed it because I felt justified in confirming the 18 figure line up of 3.75″ figures when they first leaked back in July. I was one of the first, if not THE first retailer to put up the entire selection of new figures for order." Click here to read the full blog post. It is definitely an entertaining and informative one when it comes to seeing that side of collecting.

Well now this is the way to pick up some custom fodder!

There is a lot to take in this year (for a nice change of pace) with several new offerings from 6” and 3.75” Black Series line, 3.75” Saga Legend/Rebels line and Mission Series assortment. Plus, we get confirmation on a few additional 6” and 3.75 Black Series figures for 2015 and some that have been cancelled." FlyGuy and Jason just do a fantastic job summarizing all the important information you need to know!

Candy Blues continues his Darth Plageuis six inch build...

"Hey guys just a quick, simple update. The weekend before last I decided to start the shin guards. then I realized that the length of the legs wasent right, so I made the lower leg longer and made the up leg shorter. looks more alien now! Had to wait a week for the styrene that I needed, and started the shin guards." I cannot wait to see this one finished as it just looks great so far.

HALCION updates us on his six inch custom AT-AT work in progress!
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, October 8 2014
I wake up every morning and check to see if there is an update and once again I have not been disappointed! His latest updates include work on the neck and body portion of what is going to be an absolute behemoth! One can only hope that Hasbro is taking some notes here as who wouldn't want one of these bad boys sitting in their collection. I sure know I would!

Marek shows us a custom Sugi...
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, October 8 2014
"I think the character of Embo and Sugi pretty cool. Hasbro brought Embo on the market, but unfortunately not Sugi. Since I wanted one, I've started trying to make one. I guess that it is not bad, although it is not 100% consistent with the character of the series match." I think it looks pretty good and is really a great figure to add to your TCW Collection.

Spuda Fett articulates up a Wall-E...
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, October 8 2014
I am just getting over Devin's awesome six inch Mara Jade Custom and he is already back at work putting the movement back into action figures. As much as it is a shame that he has to do that he sure has put the action back in action figure with this update. "I was disappointed that there wasn't at least a wrist swivel so that he could rotate his hands... So I took and cut them off where the yellow meets the smaller cylinder of the wrist, drilled them out and inserted a peg to allow them to rotate at the wrist. With a long enough peg inserted in there (will be re-doing) He can even extend his arms out farther." That is but one small way he made this move.

BL4CK 5H33P wishes us a Happy Halloween!
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, October 7 2014
Now that is one cool headless custom action figure! I must say this is one of my favorite times of the year and this update shows why. I sure did enjoy our Halloween Custom Contest we did one year. I think its about time to try that again maybe next year. Till then, enjoy BL4CK 5H33P's update.

Mandalore25 is back with an update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, October 7 2014
"This is just a fun old republic style Sullustan jedi with a double sided blue lightsaber. Decided not to paint the joints on the arms for no paint wear, sticks out a bit but not as much as worn brown over blue." This does look like a fun action figure.

BlackThorne is back with an update...

"Who we are? We are Road Warriors!" Talk about spot on vehicles and custom action figures for that verse! I too am eagerly looking forward to the new movie set to release in that particular series.

Spuda Fett is back with a custom 6 inch Mara Jade...

"I boil-n-popped the figure's arms apart and spray painted skin tone on them... and re-painted the entire figure black. I created a holster and belt from faux leather. I made her shoulder straps with the same material and wire. Finally, I crafted a custom lightsaber out of scrap parts." Looks spot on fantastic to me!

Marek stars a Craft Corner here at ISY...

"I am already logged in here for a while and freely admit that I've seen here before a lot of super Customs. Inspired by this, I wanted to try sometimes. I'm still far away from most, but I also hope to be even as good as others here." I would say Marek is off to a great start!

Well I just had to put that video on the front page and don't forget to give Ron's Diorama a look see too.

Sponsor Dorkside Toys receives confirmation that the six inch Obi is a ROTS Repack...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, October 7 2014
They had shared that information awhile back, but have received the new six inch wave image that you see above that shows that the Obi that is coming with the new Star Wars Black Series Six Inch Wave that includes the TIE Fighter Pilot, Yoda, Clone Trooper Sergeant, is indeed the Obi that we have seen already. Kinda scratching my head I will admit when there were other repacks that would have made this wave a done case deal for me (cough, cough Storm Trooper, Boba Fett), but it is still a great new six inch wave. Click here to see this wave show up soon on Dorkside Toys.

HALCION creates a dio to go with his 6 inch scale AT-ST...

HALCION shows us his 6" AT-ST!

I do believe he even has a custom AT-ST Driver to go with it, but this vehicle is just so fantastic that you must click on through to admire the multi-image update. Hasbro, do you see how awesome this is? Please, please, please make something like this for us. Don't think I am not gonna forward an image of this to the Big H for inclusion in our Hasbro Q and A this week!

HALCION starts the gun work!
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, October 6 2014
"No heat gun used , no dremel used, mainly xacto blade and super glue, height will be around 5 1/2 ft,no articulation as this will weigh a lot!" Wow, wow, wow! What can I say folks, go take a look at the full update and tell me you don't want one! I mean a full six inch scale AT-AT is on my dream list.

Starchaser is back with an update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, October 6 2014
"Fall is a crazy busy season in the "Starchaser" household, so I don't have a lot of time for customs. I did manage to finish some older projects in the last week or so. First, at Tamer's suggestion, I did some camo work on Beta Ray the Rebel Commando (and I took the sleeves off the Vintage Rebel Commando cloak)." Well that made it look even better and lets face it good Alien Rebel Troopers in our verse are so hard to come by! There is a Twi Lek Operative in there that I had a hard time keeping off the front page too.

Darth Daddy is back with a TCW Update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, October 6 2014
"Being huge fans of "The Clone Wars" television series, we were thrilled last week when StarWars.com announced the continuation of The Clone Wars Legacy through a diverse selection of platforms which included four, 20 minute episodes accompanied by the voice acting talents of James Arnold Taylor and Matt Lanter. The four new episodes featured a new character model for Anakin Skywalker with longer hair similar to the length of his hair in Revenge of the Sith. Since the Five Below store down the street from us had a few of the older Clone Wars Anakin Skywalker action figures, Dad figured he'd try and make the latest version of Anakin that would've graced our television screens had the show continued production." Looks spot on to me!

Matter of fact he has most of the new six inch and three and three quarter inch action figures up for grabs for fairly reasonable prices (click here to see his full listings). You gotta wonder how he gets his hands on these so early and in such large quantities, but I would be a liar if I said I didn't grab a few of his deals from time to time!

All I can say is kick back and enjoy the ride as HALCION brings us his build updates. Thanks for joining and sharing this with us Brandon!

The custom "Dennis Muren" is not my work, this custom is done be MASTERFLIESSIE CUSTOM." Folks, I am just speechless right now as how to describe the awesomeness that is this diorama. MAXX should be doing some ILM Work himself if he can create things like this! Don't forget to click through and see the full image update.

When he rang it up at checkout it came to $6 so he went back and looked and came home with a ton of cheap loot. If you have any more stories like this folks let me know. He included the receipt photo to prove it too!

FlyGuy puts me onto a new REBELS Trailer...
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, October 3 2014
I saw this on Facebook this morning and thought what a great way to start the morning. From an original story I saw on FlyGuy.net this small clip shows some great nods to some older vehicles including a certain shield generator we know from my favorite movie. It also had me thinking we needed a SW Riddick after seeing the Pitch Black theme too. Kudos Filoni and gang for showing all these nods to other films and franchises!

Do you have any questions for Hasbro?
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, October 2 2014
It is time yet again for the Twas The Night Before Party referring to Hasbro's Presentation that happens the night before NYCC opens! Our roving reporter Dan "The Spectre" Kosa has taken on the task yet again of taking all of our questions directly to the Big H as he attends the event. We got some great answers regarding the six inch series this past SDCC so I am eager to see what new nuggets the fine questioners here at the Yards can glean out of the Hasbro Brand Team. Remember, we only get a few minutes with Hasbro so please be clear and concise. Click here to input your burning questions for Hasbro!

"Hey gang here's another one near and dear to my heart and one for the Fan girls and clone wars fanatics alike!" I couldn't agree more. I liked the attitude of Satine from when I first saw her. I wish we had had more time to see her explore her relationship with Obi too.

"Sith Lord Darth Ember Keeper of the Sith Flame: I am not Sith. I do not share their blood. Yet, in the time since we arrived among these savage people, we have become their rulers. For the Force-strong must ever seek power. We have adopted their titles, their dress, and their traditions. We are no longer Jedi expelled from the Republic's smothering embrace. We are the Jen'jidai, Lords of the Sith..." Well all I have to say is this is a pretty awesome looking Sith Lord!
