JDeck rocks another WW2 Star Wars Mash Up!
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, November 30 2015
"I'm pretty finished with this one. I like it, he's pretty cool. If I were to to it again I'd change some things. I like the way the skull cap turned out, I'm becoming more confident in my sculpting skills. I went ahead and weathered him I just like the look better."

I absolutely love the look of this line he has going on. His latest Luftwaffe Pilot just looks spot on and incorporates a German Pilot and a TIE Pilot perfectly in my opinion. I can't wait to see what he shows us next!

Larifari shows us a tribute diorama to Ralph McQuarrie...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, November 30 2015
"I'm a big fan of Ralph McQuarrie's concept work.(I was always curious about how it might look like his early concept works in 3D).Well, I had some free days to do something. The whole room is in ruins, paint and glue everywhere , but I hope it was worth it."

Well I sure think it was. Wow!

Larifari shows us some great graphic artwork...

Stan is back with new Cantina SA Work...
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, November 29 2015
"Finally finished up the two cantina patrons, Djas Puhr and Dannik Jerrico!

Although we truly do not see below Djas waistline , He now has more Screen accurate torso and sleeves! Hope everyone like these Updates of these two characters! Next up 8D8 and Lak Sirvak!"

I will be looking forward to seeing those customs too. It is great to see so much range of movement in his action figures.

Jedi Minstrel is back with a Jedi Custom...
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, November 29 2015
"Few Jedi begin their training at a late age. Tiklin was in his early 30’s by human standards when he began his training. The Jedi Master, Hidmir, came across Tiklin during a Mon Calamari/Quarren dispute on their home world of Dac around 3475 years before the Battle of Yavin."

And that is just the start of a most excellent backstory for this custom Jedi.

Tonphanan is back with an Action Force Custom...
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, November 29 2015
"Chattle from G.I. Joe Action Force"

Talk about some great work there. It is pretty much spot on with his reference image.

MAXX Replicas shows us his latest Hasbro Vehicle Conversion...
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, November 29 2015
"Here's my latest conversion: Hasbro "HERO" X-WING with Diorama."

It is so hard to believe these are stock Hasbro Vehicles that he simply soups up to the superb models that would be worthy of Industrial Light and Magic. Wow!

He also has a great site where you can see more images too.

Starchaser is back with another great EU Update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, November 29 2015
"Here's Squib with his crew:

I've added Taver Bo to the mix. He's just a Fangboat pack-in Swamp Viper with some weathering and a Coruscant firefighter backpack and spray gun. I still have one crew member to go."

I am really liking those droids. I can see a Marvel Doc Oc in some of their creation. Very cool parts mixes out of Starchaser lately!

I-am-Boba-Fett gives us an Astro-Mech Update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, November 29 2015
"Here is a custom made blast from the past. Straight out of the Star Wars DROIDS TV Special THE GREAT HEEP from 1986, this is a custom CHOCO Astromech Droid. This figure itself is made of cast resin pieces made by me. His antenna are made of plastic pieces also. Choco, in the Droids TV Special was a round astromech seen along with numerous other oddly shaped droids.

This custom CHOCO Astromech Droid is FOR SALE here."

I have been gone for almost a week now and see there is a lot more to see in his customs thread than this one droid too. Wow, he does great work. Make sure you scroll down to see his Gunman and Tonnika Sisters!

He has also given us a link to all of his custom pieces he has made over the years. Wow, that is fantastic too!

Kualan gives us some bad news and some good news...
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, November 28 2015
"Bad new folks. Due to my recent PC crash, I lost all my WIP files on Volume Five - so much so that despite several efforts I can't really find the energy or enthusiasm to re-do it all again. As such I'll be quietly closing the most recent volume of the webcomic before it really begins.

I have, however, used the opportunity to start an entirely new comic project set during the Rebellion-era, and have already begun work on producing some content for it.

A sneak peak."

Well I hate to hear Tales From the Clone Wars had ended due to a pc crash, but we have all been there and done that. I can't even begin to say how much I enjoyed it. Sniff, Sniff, but I am so psyched to hear we are getting a new series set in my favorite era of SW!

Vipers Kingdom has some great deals on SW Items...
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, November 22 2015
One of probably the best known of the eBay Asian Power Sellers, Vipers Kingdom has developed a reputation for moving vast amounts of action figures at greatly reduced prices. Ron Hembling back with Micro Machines Death Star Trench Run!
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, November 22 2015
"The DS Trench was made using marine foam as the base then adding foam core and then I added plasti card. The greeblies are pieces of different styles of plasti card, 1/35th, 1/72nd and 28mm figures parts.

The ships are micro machines which have been painted and weathered using Vallejo paints and the DS was painted Vallejo and Game Worksop paints."

I am absolutely loving these small dioramas he is putting together. It is hard to see how he is putting this much detail into them being so small, but they look fantastic!

Mandalore25 finishes his Link!
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, November 22 2015
"Made the hard call of calling Link finished, wanted to do more, but expenses, and time put in were getting pretty high already. The higher the price I need to ask, the less likely he'll will sell. Thinking I might do a second with different accessories instead, maybe three. Love the way the accessories I did turned out though, they look right out of the game.

If anyone is interested he's listed here."

There was a just a ton of stuff that went into this custom action figures creation. Make sure you scroll up to see all the great work he did.

Darth Daddy shares a better look at his Jaxxon...
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, November 22 2015
"This is a character I always thought about making, but kept putting off to do later so I could create a character that I had wanted to make more. I actually planned on making him in a completely different way than what I did here. This version was just the result of making what the commission required. This figure was born from the need to make a Jaxxon for High Adventure's "High Five" album cover that recreated the look of the cover of the Marvel edition of Star Wars #8: Eight for Aduba-3."

Rezikai tries his hand at fan fiction...
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, November 21 2015
"I started this fanfic about 9 months ago when I thought I was going to do it as a Photonovel, the mods may remember a deleted post by me back in May with pics of a stormie figure near a rough dio of pillars covered in vines. I decided to take a more in depth perspective on the story and wrote about 80 pages. I may turn it into a photonovel eventually... but wanted to test the waters first."

Well I sure did like the start of this I must admit!

Jedi Minstrel is back with a Jedi Custom...
-- Posted by
Tamer on Saturday, November 21 2015
"So, again just finally getting to post some customs I did a while ago. Here's one that after I put him together, I reminded me of Tommy Lee Jones in MIB. Got a couple of ideas for if I do a Will Smith but that'll be done the road.

Kae Vis was a Jedi from about 3475 years before the Battle of Yavin. He was a strict but fair Master that had helped trained many padawans achieve Knighthood. It was in a battle against a Sith Lord that blinded him years ago. Vis was defeated by the Sith Lord and it was only by the aide of his then Padawan, Wyl Sm’th, he even survived. They escaped but not before leaving the Sith Lord stranded. Later, he chose not to have implants. He felt artificial eyes were a hindrance to the Force. His other senses were more than enough."

It is great to see him back with a Jedi after his namesake after all. He also has the most excellent back story. He really thinks his characters out well.

Ralph McQuarrie Boba Fett Statue up for pre-order!
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, November 20 2015
"Ralph McQuarrie’s conceptual drawings and paintings were instrumental in bringing George Lucas’ epic space saga to the big screen, envisioning the vast worlds of fantastic heroes, villains, vehicles and aliens that would come to be known as Star Wars!

Inspired by Ralph McQuarrie’s pre-production artwork for Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, Sideshow Collectibles is proud to present Boba Fett!

One of the first new characters to be designed for The Empire Strikes Back, Boba Fett originally began as a super trooper, with a striking aesthetic inspired primarily by Darth Vader and the Stormtroopers. As McQuarrie worked closely alongside Star Wars Art Director Joe Johnston, the character evolved into the ruthless Mandalorian bounty hunter we know today. Capturing the spirit of these early explorations, Fett appears in his original all-white armor with two unique helmet designs, leaping into action over a base inspired by the Slave I. Reviewing a broad spectrum of McQuarrie’s imaginative designs for Boba Fett, Sideshow’s artists have translated his iconic artwork in a brilliant homage to a Star Wars that is both familiar, yet never was."

Click here to create a wonderful gift for that Star Wars Fan in your life. I would probably about half faint if my wife were to surprise me with this!

Sjefke starts a 3.75" Super-Articulated Groot Project...
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, November 20 2015
"Did anyone else feel jipped when Hasbro released the GotG Marvel Universe "FOUR" pack? It was basically, SA Starlord and Drax with a one piece Rocket Raccoon and a totally unsatisfying potted Groot. I never read a comic, but I really loved the GotG movie. Yes, Hasbro released some great Marvel Legends figures, but I like my SA 3.75, so I'm stepping outside the Star Wars comfort zone and starting with Groot. We'll see how far I get with the other movie Guardians. Anyway, here are some Groot WIPs."

JDeck calls his Stalingrad Trooper done...
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, November 20 2015
"Alright I'm going to call him finished before I mess him up. I just needed to add some minor weathering and decals. The decals designate him as an infantry corporal. The decals are actually 1/16, but that's okay because I don't want them to overpower the figure, seeing the next step up is 1/6. I really like it, one of my favorite mash ups, I'd say my favorite custom figure to date. I already have someone lined up who wants to buy it, so I'll have to part ways and build something better."

It doesn't surprise me that someone wanted it I am just sore they beat me out of it! What a wonderful custom and such a neat mash up between WW2 styling as it meets our SW Verse. Nice job JDeck!

Ron Hembling shares his AT-AT Hoth Micro-Machines Diorama...
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, November 20 2015
"Here is the third micro machine dio.

The AT-AT's are micro machines and I re-positioned the legs on the downed one and altered the front left leg slightly on the walking one, I also sanded them to get rid of the seam line the best I could and then they were painted using Vallejo paints.

The base is marine foam which was cut to size and the snow is spakfilla mixed with PVA glue and a little water."

Needless to say I have been extremely impressed with this one. The quality, detail, and special effects just seem unparalleled to me in something this small of a size. I don't know why I am surprised as its Ron Hembling after all!

For unpainted:

I've also been working on a Zora Link (because I can never just work on one thing at a time), and he's coming along superb. Sculpt the head myself, then sprayed him with Tamiya Coral Blue, and the figure took the paint crazy well, there is almost zero paint wear."

The Battlefront Imperial Shock Trooper is out there folks!
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, November 19 2015
If you can believe it even I was able to find this in my rural area yesterday. I must say that AT-ST Display for the new Battlefront was fantastic and I even put in a bid to own it in a silent auction to benefit a local charity.

I guess I will tell my wife we have to find room for it if I win! I wonder where I could put it and the Falcon? While I work out my problems, let us know your latest score in our new purchases thread.

Ron Hembling is rocking the Micro Machines Dioramas...
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, November 19 2015
"Here are the usual outdoor pics for the Probe Droid and Snow Speeder/AT-ST dioramas.

The bases were made using marine foam which I cut to shape and the stone was done by cutting and ripping at the foam. The snow was done by using spakfilla mixed with some PVA glue and a little water.

The miniatures are mirco machines which were sanded and the AT-ST was altered by cutting it's legs and I added antenna's on the Probe droid by using very thin plasti card. I painted and weathered the micro machines using Vallejo paints."

You know micro machines are intensely small so no I do not know how he got things this precise, but its Hemble Creations so you know its gonna be good from Ron!

JDeck adds to his WW2 Mash Ups...

"I'm almost finished with the Stalingrad snowtrooper, just need to weather and decal. I made a gun sling out of aluminium foil, I may re-do it when I get some lead foil. The helmet is from a small company that makes various ww2 accessories. They took a 3-D scan of a M35 steel helmet, printed a 3-D master and made resin copies. Even the inside of the helmet is fully detailed, simply amazing. I can't for the life of me see why most figure companies can't do the same. Especially the BIG companies."

It sure does make sense to me. It is great seeing these WW2 characters come to life in the form of Star Wars creations. What a neat idea!

Mandalore25 shows us an interesting molding and casting medium...
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, November 18 2015
"Here's the real Mirror Shield I made, on the right, with the first mold:

The detail is a bit lacking in the casts as well, and I disagree with the instruction tip of paint ASAP after molding, for it's way to soft yet, left many fingerprints behind. Best to let is sit and completely harden after demolding. Having fun learning with this Amazing Mold Putty, and Amazing Resin, I can make a mold, and make a cast or two in an hour."

I am telling you he may be down on this a bit, but I think it is amazing and from a press mold and then making a cast in that amount of time is amazing!

BDC41866 is back with more custom figures...

Darth Crassus is back with a new Model Review...

"I've been getting back into model making recently. I built Bandai's excellent 6'' R2-D2 and C-3PO, but I hadn't gotten any ships from The Force Awakens yet. Unfortunately, Bandai's ship models are difficult to get in the U.S. due to a licensing dispute with Disney, so I decided to try Revell's out offerings. Looks fantastic! I agree his inside pictures are giving me an I want this itch. Daggone you Clonehead!

Clone Crazy is back with a new chapter...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, November 16 2015
His new chapter is called:

Will of the Force: KOTOR #5 Path of the Jedi

and is just another great chapter added to his series. The work that all this entails is just over the top. Not to mention, he has always given us a superb story line to go along with the action. The Tamer gives this one two thumbs way up!

Ajunta Pall is back with a great Revan!
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, November 16 2015
"This is one I had a lot of fun customizing. Darth Revan's aftermarket figure is so expensive to buy if your like myself and you missed its original release. I've done a realistic version before, but this time I decided to make an animated version to go with my growing custom clone wars and rebels collection. I made an alternate head for Revan and this version is super articulated unlike hasbros version."

I think it turned out fantastic and is better than the Hasbro version, of course customs always beat stock figures if you ask me!

I’ve grown to love the Special Forces TIE Fighter as a neat variation on a classic ship, so I decided to try it out."

Looks pretty good to me. He is really reviewing these up well!

JDeck adds to his WW2 Mash ups...

That Biker Scout is gonna rock too!

Darth Daddy checks back in with an album cover!
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, November 15 2015
"Customs for the Kid was really honored to have been asked to contribute to the album art for their "Eight Against A World!" inspired cover. Lead singer Glen Nelson just told me what he was looking for and I set to work. It took a few months to bang it all out, but with some careful planning and hard work, I finished the project just as the album was being mastered."

Pretty cool looking album cover if you ask me. Click here to find out more about the group and how Brain got involved in custom action figure work as a result of the album cover.

How excited would we be to see this again?
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, November 15 2015
I was taking a look at Facebook and came across a great article by our friends at Jeditemplearchives.com. Wouldn't it be great to see them (Hasbro) putting as much energy into their 3.75" line up as they are their 6"? I am loving the 6" too, but I can't even imagine how excited I would be to hear they were bringing back the vintage line with their fully (whatever that means nowadays) articulated figures.

JDeck reviews the Bandai Godzilla...
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, November 14 2015
"I got my SH Monsterarts Godzilla (1964) emergence figure from Japan today. The box is cool it has different pictures of the Godzilla figure and Japanese writing i cant read. It doesn't have a window so its made to be taken out the box. The figure is just real cool, just what I expected except he's a bit smaller than I imagined, but its over five inches just as described. I counted about 36 points of articulation with 17 just in the tail and each joint is very well hidden. The sculpt is very detailed. The eyes look better than the ones in the actual movie. His mouth opens and closes with an impressive set of teeth. The paint apps are very nice."

And folks that is just the start of the review. Today, I also noticed that he found a great new use for the radiation breath stand you see above too.

Mandalore25 is back with some Zelda work...
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, November 14 2015
"I'm more than just Star Wars! Working on arming a Figma Link Ocarina of Time style with a Red Tunic.
Here's a WIP of the Biggoran Sword.

A WIP of the Mirror Shield, I actually have some crazy math skills, so I calculated the detentions for this scale, and they look spot on.

And the Fairy Bow. Since Figma figures are a harder plastic, the hands need to be handled delicately, so I placed magnets where Link holds the bow for it to come in half for effortless insertion into his hand.

With More to come, planning on the Megaton Hammer, some Bombs, Hover Boots, Iron Boots, and Golden Gauntlets yet. So far pretty smooth, the fancy figure excepts paint well, but the right arm wears easily, even after a number of clear coats. I also have a couple other Zelda characters in the works, hope they're liked."

Wow, that is some serious attention to detail folks.

Hey, here is one way to get a great new Battlefront Shock Trooper. This is a most excellent custom from Bronxstalker who is just a great customizer in my opinion.

Speaking of great new things shared by the Yaksters, they are teasing a rumor report on a new 6" Trash Compactor Luke and Han as well as the return of figure stands? You know what listening to rumors gets you, but once again from Yakface you know they wouldn't share it unless it was legitimate.

JDeck is back with a quick project...
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, November 13 2015
"I've been stupid busy lately, I haven't been able to work on my dioramas much these few weeks, but I started a quick little WW2 Stormtrooper project. I'm a self proclaimed ww2 buff so I like doing these crossovers. A few months ago I was able to get some WWRP accessories fairly cheap so that's what I used for the helmet. The decals are leftovers from old ww2 model projects. The stormy is the Hasbro 6", I think it works well for this project because he has that lanky skeletal look. Also the soft vinyl plastic helmet was easy to cut."

Talk about one evil looking trooper! He turned out fantastic. It was good to see JDeck check in.

Darth Crassus is back with a new Model Review...
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, November 13 2015
"I've been getting back into model making recently. I built Bandai's excellent 6'' R2-D2 and C-3PO, but I hadn't gotten any ships from The Force Awakens yet. Unfortunately, Bandai's ship models are difficult to get in the U.S. due to a licensing dispute with Disney, so I decided to try Revell's out offerings. Poe Dameron’s X-Wing isn’t my favorite ship, but it seems like it’ll be one of the main ships in the new movie, so I decided to try it out."

Toys R Us lists exclusive 12" Phasma!
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, November 12 2015
I didn't even know this 12" Toys R Us Exclusive Phasma existed until my evening trip on Facebook.

"Launch into action and adventure in the world of Star Wars! Discover the exciting stories of good versus evil in a universe of heroes, villains, and aliens. Clad in distinctive metallic armor, Captain Phasma commands the First Order's legions of troopers. This 12-inch scale Captain Phasma figure features a shiny, metallic-looking finish and comes with a blaster accessory."

Keep this under your hat, but I just had to pre-order one of these for my daughter this morning for Christmas!

I have seen this go in and out of stock a few times this morning so be sure to refresh later if it says sold out.

ServO is back with a fantastic Dark Yoda!
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, November 12 2015
"It's been awhile...

This has been kicking around in my head for a couple of years, and I recently found a good way to do it...

Dark Yoda

Cool, right?

This was a Yoda Unleashed figure. I eliminated like 90% of the base, and ran a small/long screw up through the rock in to his little leg, and then re-painted the figure top to bottom.

I also replaced his lightsaber blade.
He's just a tad bigger than the Black Series Yoda, so he looks awesome mixed in with other six inch figures.

What do you think?"

I think it is hands down one of the coolest creations I have seen in awhile and you know I have seen a few! Love it!

Mandalore25 is back with a new Jedi...

"Finished my female Wookie jedi, painted her tan, then went over it with brown game ink to hightlight the fur, and the sculpting I did.

If anyone is interested she's listed here,"

What a great parts combination he came up with using the Marvel Female Thor Figure and a ton of sculpting to bring this project home.

Rest In Peace Daniel Fleetwood!
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, November 11 2015
I think almost all have heard the news about Daniel by now, but I wanted to honor both the fan, his friends and family, the community in general, and the awesome graphic artist who created the image above of Daniel hanging out with Yoda, Anakin, and Ben.

Truly Star Wars is so much more than a movie series and Daniel's story proves it. Hats off to Disney and Lucasfilm for making his final wish happen and hats off to the fan community for promoting this so hard to make it happen. It is heartening to me personally to see good things happen as a result of my beloved movie series.

"Another new bounty hunter to share, this one is a mix of parts from GI Joe, Star Wars, and Red Faction figures. More to come."

I like the look of his Bounty Hunters. He has also posted an Organa Heavy Weapons Trooper too. Great parts mixes are what he is know for!

Jetpack Blues unhinges my jaw with his latest posts...

Well I for one am sure glad he was as his works in progress are just fantastic. Of course when I saw that Xeno Spider (pictured above) it just blew my mind. Awesome work Tim!

Ajunta Pall is back with some great EU Characters...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, November 10 2015
"Here's a little something I did last week. KYLE KATARN and GRAND MOFF TRACHTA! These were fun to do considering the short amount of time and supplies I actually had to finish the two projects. But all in all I think they came out okay."

Ok? I think they turned out fantastic. I would be happy with either one of em!

Jedi Minstrel is back with a bevy of Bounty Hunters...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, November 10 2015
"Terc Brag would say he’s more of a businessman than a bounty hunter. Although, he did start out as a bounty hunter, his business acumen and military connections made him a very efficient hunter and as his reputation built up, he found that he had to contract out some of his jobs. This led to building up a roster of bounty hunters he knew he could trust."

He always creates the most interesting back stories too. He has also uploaded way more than the one featured above as well.

Darth Crassus reviews the new Revell Falcon...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, November 10 2015
"I've been getting back into model making recently. I built Bandai's excellent 6'' R2-D2 and C-3PO, but I hadn't gotten any ships from The Force Awakens yet. Unfortunately, Bandai's ship models are difficult to get in the U.S. due to a licensing dispute with Disney, so I decided to try Revell's out offerings. I was particularly excited for the Episode VII Millennium Falcon as the Falcon has always been my favorite ship."

I found his review spot on and full of great images.

Mandalore25 is creating a female Wookie...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, November 10 2015
"Here's something I think is coming together very nicely, a female Wookiee. She's still a work in progress, and the pics aren't great, but I hope you guys enjoy her so far."

Well I think she is great. He is further along that the pic above, but I enjoyed seeing his initial parts choices.

Boasting a reputation as the best bounty hunter in the galaxy, the expert mercenary is ready for hire decked out in a hand-tailored flight suit, layered belts with holsters and pouches, a hardshell armored vest, and western-style poncho. Destined to one day become the face of the Clone army, Fett’s identity can be concealed behind his iconic Mandalorian helmet, or revealed with an additional swap-out portrait complete with pilot headgear. Always one step ahead of his enemies, Jango is fully equipped with his two favorite jetpack models for high-flying escapades, and trademark shiny dual blaster pistols with smoke and fire attachments.

I-am-Boba-Fett gets his SA on for our latest Birthday Challenge...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, November 9 2015
"Here's my official entry into this contest. This is a custom multi-articulated CONSTABLE ZUVIO figure. I dremeled the armor off of the real Constable Zuvio figure and custom fit it to this multi-articulated body. I cut the forearms/hands and lower legs and feet from the real Zuvio figure and custom fit them to this articulated body. I added the head, staff, and backpack from the real Zuvio figure to my custom multi-articulated Constable Zuvio figure and repainted everything to blend together."

Talk about one great looking action (stress on the word action here) figure. It moves, it poses, it looks fantastic.

Don't forget folks you only have between now and Midnight tonight to post your entry! Read the full details here!

Gold Leader One reviews Rhode Island Comic-Con...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, November 9 2015
"In the fourth year of RICC, I have to say this was the most fun I've had. Even though personally we didn't have any issues last year, we could tell this year's was much more organized then last years.

I went with a friend to the after party on Friday night where we dressed up. My friend dressed up as Spiderman, and I dressed up as Mario from the Mario Super Show (Lou Albano's portrayal of Mario). The after party was ok, nothing special. They had music going, you could buy drinks, ride a mechanical bull. I had the most fun just taking photos with other people in costumes.

On Saturday I went with a few other friends, just to the con itself. We didn't dress up or anything. There I took a picture with a life size R2-D2, which was controlled by a remote controller that looked like a PS3 controller, I met Garrick Hagon, who played Biggs Darklighter in A New Hope, and Charles Martinet who is the current voice actor for Mario."

He has uploaded a great set of images to go along with his full review you can find here.

The final chapter of A New Hope is up on Webtoons!
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, November 8 2015
I have really, really, really enjoyed this web-comic version of A New Hope created by artist Hong Jac GA.

The final chapter of ANH is called Miracle of Yavin and has some really fantastic artwork, especially of a certain space station going kablooie.

From what I understand from reading some of the story comments on Webtoons, this artist already has up to chapter 27 done. So, I am hoping that means The Empire Strikes Back is going to happen next. Trust me, I will keep you aware of when that hits!

-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, November 8 2015
"This was another fun little project which only took me 2 hrs all up to do.

Recipe: Speeders - Are the two that come with the AT-ST, I cut the front stabilizers off and replaced them with thin round plasti card rod and re-attached the fins. I also reapainted the speeders and figures with Vallejo and Gam Workshop paints.

Base - The trees are made from twigs from the garden and the leaves are railway bushes and Woodland Scenics trees. The bushes are from Woodland Scenics and Army Painter, I used a mix of spakfilla and dirt to build the ground work up before painting it and adding the undergrowth."

Folks talk about cool. So realistic and at such a small scale!

-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, November 5 2015
"It's all complete, I used fly screen for the floor interior and a mix of spakfilla and sand for the the exterior. The whole display was painted and weathered using Vallejo paints and pastel chalks."

We knew this was gonna be impeccable and the final images just speak volumes. This one has it all, great build, great lights, great paint work. We also can see the answer of who shot first! Fabulous work Ron!

The Iron Panda is back with some great tips on applying washes...
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, November 5 2015
"Just started my Bandai Y-wing, and I thought I would share some of my techniques with you. I'm sure most of you are already familiar with all this but perhaps someone isn't...

Next step is a wash. I still use washes extensively with my models, even though I try not to use them with figures, I just can't leave a vehicle unwashed."

Talk about some sound advice in his posts here folks.

Jetpack Blues gets his Flame on for the Birthday Challenge!
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, November 3 2015
"Ok, so I may or may not actually get around to finishing this guy up, but I wanted to take a stab at putting an entry together. Things by me have been pretty hectic and I didn't even realize until two days ago there was a new contest up. I haven't checked the forums in a while so somehow I'm sure someone has already done this guy better than I am capable but whatever, haha. The recipe is simple. This clone (no idea his name/designation anymore, he was just in my fodder bin), a little sculpt and paint. I could have made it easier on myself to find a guy that was already white."

I had a very similar idea to JPB's for this one too. His version is gonna look stellar. It already does thanks to the improved movement.

Don't forget folks you only have between now and November 9th to post your entry! Read the full details here!

Ron Hembling updates us on his 6" Cantina Dio Progress...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, November 3 2015

As you can see this is coming into the home stretch and is looking as fantastic as I thought it would. Ron sets the bar way high and he always, always delivers.

The iron Panda is back with a Sideshow Custom...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, November 3 2015
"Time to go back to miniatures! I have recently bought a second sideshow 12 inch Commander Bly,and now I decided to make my Own 327th Star Corps Soldier. I could have done it the easy way, and just change the Helmet and repaint it, but i wanted a"mirrored" Version."

As you can see he has done a lot! It sure shows though.

Did you get your 6" Phasma yet?
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, November 1 2015
Well I am one of the ones who doesn't yet and wow are the secondary prices out there mind boggling!

From an Amazon.com price of $80 dollars this morinng to slightly better eBay deals around $50 dollars it seems this is the latest craze to sweep collectingdom.

Will you be one of the ones that can't resist and add one to your collection at that price? Or can you power through and wait till the prices return to their regular standard? Whatever the case, I think we can all agree it is one outstanding addition to Hasbro's 6 inch line up.

Ron Hembling updates us on his Cantina Dio Progress...
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, November 1 2015
"Did some more work on this today, I added the thick pipes by stripping out an old electric cord and then cut the lengths I wanted and made small holes and then inserted the cord and super glued them in place. The thinner pipes on top of the roof are pieces of plasti card and the thinner pipe on the back wall is what I pulled out of the electric cord.

The lights on the wall were made by using the left over joint pieces from the Bandai Star Wars figures and the glass piece is a Figma stand that come with their Indy figure. The stand piece is hollow so inserted the bulb into it and then cut a hole in the joint piece and glued the two together.

I connected them to the wall by drilling thru the wall and pushed thru the wiring and made another hole to attach the lights as the joint piece has a small rod connected to it.

The back wall has the machines that I made from plasti card, 1/72nd, 1/35th and 1/6th scale pieces. I added more pipes at the back to house the wiring from the bulbs and the machine on the left hand side houses the 9 volt battery.

The chairs were finally completed by using plasti card and a piece of foam for the bottom to raise the chairs up. The pipes on the inside of the roof are again pieces of plasti card rod which were glued together using model glue and once dry I used super glue to attach them to the roof.

All I have to do now is paint it and attach it to a base."

Folks the awesomeness that is this diorama just can't be explained. Click in and hold onto your jaw!

"Taking a short break from TFA customs to work on my blue an grey batman, he is made from a Michael Keaton variant (no mask) as the base, the head is from a Bale batman not sure which one though. He is a complete repaint including the cape, also if anyone has a Keaton cowl head in their fodder I could really use one lol. HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!"

I like the look of him!

Jedi Minstrel is back with a Bounty Hunter...
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, November 1 2015
"Happy Halloween folks. Been awhile but here's one I've had on the shelf for a some time and finally got time to post.

Sacochi Lama was a Duros bounty hunter from around 3475 years before the Battle of Yavin. He was ruthless, meticulous, precise, and always got his bounty. Not one to take mercy on his bounties, he once did allow a family to escape to Commenor in the Corellian system. He and they thought they could get lost in the more populace sections."

Trust me, that is just the start of a great back story and a most excellent custom.

JDeck starts building an Ewok Village...
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, November 1 2015

Folks he is really showcasing how you can turn some simple, everyday items into great looking trees!

Frank Diorio makes epic BB-8 Costume...
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, November 1 2015
"Designed by Frank Diorio for Frametore's Halloween contest - Montreal October 30, 2015.

HOMEMADE STAR WARS FORCE AWAKENS BB-8 DROID COSTUME

It's no surprise that JJ and Lucasfilm has gotten us ALL EXCITED for the NEW STAR WARS, especially for MY generation - I was 13 in 1977 when Star Wars came out - and like thousands, it's changed my life and led me to the career I do today in VFX.

Ever since I saw BB-8 in the first teaser, I fell in love with him. Adorable and NO CG, a REAL live rolling droid. Brilliant. So after watching the NEW Trailer, Buying my 5 tickets for Force Awakens opening night and weekend, I KNEW what my only choice was as a costume for Halloween this year.

This was the first time in 10 years I decided to get back in the fun of Halloween, and make a costume with my favorite materials, Cardboard, Masking tape, paint. That's it !!! It may not be the most detailed but the personality and idea shines through.

I have searched the internet when building to try find how to make a sphere, and saw others as BB-8 costumes, but ALL FLAT, brilliant umbrella version to make it spin as you walked :) but NONE that put the person INTO the costume. So you KNOW I just HAD to make it and invent a way to do it. Here is the result.

I will have MAKING OF photos on site and in a separate video. Enjoy. and HAPPY HALLOWEEN!"
