I have read that it's a good idea to mix this clear stuff twice, as in, measure and mix in one pot and then pour the contents into a different pot and stir again.
Doc, my stuff mixes 1-1

About a week actually. Still haven't finished the chin gun mold yet but it is started and that's better than just being on the to do list.

You cant go wrong with an assortment, Charlie.

Yes, I am having troubles with one of LE's clear parts so I am almost but not quite done with his yet. As I am taking too long to complete his order "in my opinion" I have cast some more parts to include into his free bundle.

They are in this shot that also contains most of the parts for the two buyer's orders after his. These are all cleaned of their flash but I have a few holes to patch and I believe one more round of casting to do for the next two. Not pictured are three concept snowie heads, another rex head, three more rex pistols, and two more holsters, I believe.

Hear that folks. I try to get the orders filled and shipped in a timely fashion but if for some reason I believe that things are taking too long on my end, you get even more free parts than i would normally include. You cant lose!

I am not the first member here to try using the clear stuff, Sean. If and when I ever get a video shot showcasing my latest new parts, I will put it on the front page, Thanks.

Commander Charlie, if you want to see how I do this, then go no further than this thread here.

And now, finally, I am ready for the final reveal of the three members orders that I have been working on.
After a long day at work, I got home and plowed right into wrapping these three up only having time for a quick shower, a bowel or two of chili, and a fp story.

First up is Mr. Spry's large order
first pic is the paid for parts:
2 of each head that I havent been able to identify "help here please, LE"
2 Rham Kota heads
2 of each spry backpack
2  fan pieces
1 of each backpack clear
2 fan pieces clear
2 arctic rex backpacks with seperate antannie
2 rc sniper rifles
and the 6-8 pc pouch and backpack asst.

LE is a repeat customer who has ordered from me several times and this order includes 6 figures and I was running late on getting it out so..................orders get free parts thrown in, bigger orders get more free parts, bigger orders for a multiple repeat customer get more free parts, plus I will throw some more in if I am running late.
So, pic 2 is of the free parts that LE gets, this time.

veers head, scanning crew head, clone general obi head, 2 rham kota chest armor pieces, 1 deluxe jengo Fett chest armor, 1 of the big spry backpack, 1 rc sniper rifle, 1 sandtrooper rifle, 1 airborne briefcase, 1 clone commander bandolier, 1 biggs head, 1 ee mando head, 1 ee mando bucket, and the 1 clear comic pack luke pilot helmet.

LE, I want to see some customs wearing these parts in the near future, please.

pic three is of Dark n sour's order
three rex heads
3 new concept snowtrooper heads
3 pairs "left and right" cw clone holsters
6 cw clone pistols

2 free parts shown
Deluxe Fett chest armor and 1 sandtrooper ammo pouch
1 free part not shown"it will be a surprize"

pic 4 is of Ted's order

2 sandtrooper pauldrons
2 rots shoulder pads
1 three-piece mini gun from the hunt for Grievous BP "one of my personal favorites"
1 neck nub
1 veers/GM mixed helmet
1 Airborne trooper helmet
3 rangefinders "two Fetts and one rex"

2 free parts shown
1 atrt driver chest armor piece and 1 cw rex head
1 free part not shown "it will be a surprise"

Man, that was a chore considering that I was working on a gunship missile order at the same time.
These will all get shipped tomorrow, just in time for me to start on my most recent order. "wow, do you think that I will get caught up?"

That clear stuff can be darn finicky *and* ties up your molds for *several* days as it sets up.  Or, at least, the stuff I started out with was like that.  I've got a new product to try that I *hope* isn't that bad...

He's right about that.  It is usually simple, but not exactly easy.  It is, however, immensely enjoyable and rewarding.  I'm moving into casting in plasters for some of the scenery bits I'm exploring and developing, in addition to using resin.  Every mold and every material is different.  There are common basics, but a lot of variables will come into play.

I walked away from all my stuff over the winter and now realize just how much I missed it!  Maybe if I had stuck with things, I'd'a had a better winter!
