Yepper, those lower chin guns are the most. Then, there is the bulb cover, the opening canopy, battery cover inside the troop transport area, and the side guns. I am telling you you would have tons of orders for those parts if you wanted them. I guess the canopy would be hard to cast and those side guns too, but the lower cannons and battery covers might be doable. Then, there is the firable missles from the potf walkers. You just never see those listed.

I hadn't considered doing that one, Fett but I am sure that it could be pulled off. Tamer is quite right in that it would be taken apart and molded as seperate pieces to assemble back together. Fabbing the spring would be necessary but not too much of a chore.I think it would be a hit, I personally would like a few but don't really want to pay almost $20 each on ebay plus get the clone that's absolutely worthless.

clint u reckon you could somehow make a rex snow headNot sure, Jay. I am still working on cobbling together the first one to see what I can make it out of, parts wise. If I can get one together that way, perhaps, I can use factory parts to make a master part which I can then mold. Part of the master may have to be paper mache which I will have to impregnate with super glue to make it resistant to soaking in the mold material before it sets.
I'd love to see the holsters of the EVO Imperial Storm Commando as resin parts.sounds possible and interesting, volker. I will have to get some more hs3 when the coupon hits and I will try it.

Here is a shot of an order that I wrapped up for a shipyarder, today.
The paid for order was for 6 captain needa imperial officer's caps. For free parts, I threw in two ROTS Clone Commander pistols and holsters. I figured that a couple of the new officers could warrant a side-arm.
It was asked if these caps were the same size and hollow like the stock Needa Cap. Here are some shots of my Needa head wearing custom pilot, wearing the resin version.
I will get these shipped tomorrow.

I do have the holsters and ammo pouches and feel that crafting the rest of the belt assembly using paper or styrene strips would be possible. Another option would be to take a kama with the belt and holsters from a clone commander figure, and cut the kama away from the belt and holsters to leave a piece alot like the one that came with the Geligrub trooper.
I have done this twice before on a couple of clones in my custom figure thread with some success.

I can see what would make a good starting point in a rebel pilot's helmet but the lower part including the facia would probably have to be fabricated and would take some time but still be possible.

Good thing Stone can hold his breath for a long time! ;Ddoc, it would be possible even if adding some flashing to help matters became neccessary. I seem to be getting better and better at that although it is still a tedious process.

Thanks buddy, Here is what I came up with from my new molds.
three human heads that I need help in identifying, the third is a cobra head but not from the paraviper. one helmet which is also a joe item. That pack of ammo pouches is from a different line. "need help with that one also, Volker" There is one lego piece, I believe that would second as a head mounting nub, a rebel pilot helmet that was molded from TVC Dak, a tac endor rebel helmet, "this is the one that I wish I would have done differently and plan to revisit", the Luke floppy hat with goggles on the brim, and the cw arc trooper backpack with peg. "how does it look, Jay?"

Those little pegs that hold the visor in place would be too brittle in resin form not to break while installing that visor. They would have to be replaced with push pins or something like that. I have a resin version of the cw flip-visor but not the rots version that devis has.

Heya Clonehead,thank you and welcome. I don't know about the dye but think the parts should fair as well as factory parts would to boiling. enough heat will make em soft so care would need to be made to make sure they were the right shape as they cooled.

I've used it in the past on factory figures, but I figure cast parts might not
hold up well to being boiled. :P

SOB u even got the freakin hands AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!its in the hasbro review board. I will try that helmet with my next mold but the visor will be non translucent unless I cast em in clear resin.

also, working on that big order, I came up with another bag of ruined casts that is up for grabs. Mostly cw arc helmets, there are some heads, a couple of guns, and some armor pieces in there. The idea is that these would make great fodder for helmet mods or zombie troopers.
To help with that latter theme, I am adding this set of zombie trooper parts shown in the second pic.

I think Disney ought to hire you.Now that is a hell of an idea for a pack-in for carded figures, buddy. The build a mando line with 5 packed in parts you could assemble to build your own mando. Why, there would never be a peg warmer in site, as long as the cases were all even with packed in parts.
Instead of Build a Droid at the parts we could get Build a Mandalorian.
OH my Clint, this is brilliant! The fit is perfect and shows how workable this resin is when heated up. For the foot you just dabbed a spot of glue on the peg and held the foot closed right?Nope, I actually took about half of the inner foot joint peg away to allow it to form and to allow me to get that upper peg piece into that lower area. Heating the foot to do this will work but it works better if the upper joint part is fed into the lower foot joint while the resin is still a bit soft and flexible on the foot end and then hold the foot closed around it with a clamp until the resin sets up harder. This means I have to have set of joint pegs set up hard and cleaned when I go to cast the feet. That way, as I extract the soft foot, I will be ready to instal the joint.

I havent made any lightsabers for a while and wanted to try out my new florescent paint on some so I made an auction tonight for these three with the uv reactive paint and threw in a clear one that I had cast up a week or more ago. I noticed that the green glows the brightest when exposed to a black light, the blue is second brightest, and the red is the least of the three.

Is the hair on the Helix head separate from the head?nope, it's a one piece casting and that one is a hit if a booger to get right currently. U may need to adjust that mold a bit. You are wanting just the hair, I would guess?

That's the one - it's hollow, has a guy in an arming cap underneath the helmet. Smaller head, but I think the helmet is pretty thick-walled.i really meant the eu space trooper was the one I wanted to try, from that tru exclusive last legacy wave. That was the only figure from that wave I ever found but it was released later as a saga legends fig.
OH wow. How did you get it to cast that well!must have got my mixes right. That head has 3 different pots of resin in him, one over the other. 1 or 2 drops in either direction while mixing would have resulted in color variations in the layers.

I may - it is a minor project for me, given the wall & floor project. 8) Does the Stormie boil & pop apart like normal? The plastic feels different to me. :-\the head has a positive peg which may end in a mushroom shape protruding down into the torso.
took a couple more shots of it in darker light. This one is listed now.

I plan on priming the next one black first to possibly drop the gunmetal a shade darker and will probably paint up the side details more than the factory version did.

That bucket looks pretty small. Do you think a head would fit in there?It looks promising. It's just a bit smaller than Ezra's, mostly in the narrower face. While Ezra's hair probably wouldn't fit, Dollar General Duke or Needa almost certainly would. If it looks too tight, another alternative would be to replace the face portion with that from Ezra's helmet.

I made an auction for some 3 3/4 phase 2 arf trooper helmets yesterday and started an auction for some Arc trooper parts at 99cents to end next week
They are not listed, Boss. I can’t see many customers going for it so I didnt list em. I got them though
You know, I had picked up a cheap little pressure pot a couple of weeks ago that I want to try some experiments with using both the mold materials and resins. It may work to make parts that were near impossible to pull off before.
