Um, isn't this transport a repaint with decals, not fitting the "scratch build." Not trying to be mean just thinking about the rules in place. It's just by the way you wrote it, it sounds like you bought it, and all the insides look like they are from the hole in the ground purchase.

  I would have to agree. It is cool looking but its not an original or altered design.

I too would have to agree on that..itd be the same as taking a GO Joe vehicle and painting it up for Star wars.

Ive been tinkering around with some ideas for model show awards..and thought about this version for this contest...be it ,these are figures shown,but I have some Star Wars vehicle shapes too,which I could use instead (depends on what the winner is,figure or ship) but wanted to see what your thoughts are..theyre just 2 shapes cut out of thin acrylic and added to the original award.

I think that it's a neat idea, but does not enhance, nor take away from the original design.

Every bounty hunter could use a one-man skiff to get from Point A to Point B when trying to catch the latest bounty.

Talk about making a scratch-built craft from the fodder bin! I used the wing from a Micro Machines Vader TIE fighter as the base. The engine is the jet pack gizmo from the AOTC set that Target carried in 2002.

Don't get me wrong OC47150, I like the skiff (might even make one myself with those same parts about), but the rules state it needs to be at least 6" long.

Painted my war droid green, and put the arms, legs, and head piece on. Really looking like it's supposed to, added the miniature near it in the first pic for reference, and put a measurement in the second for good measure , so it's just short of 8". Only 10 days left guys.

This is Fing fantastic.  I love this.  That looks so good, definitely the best custom war droid I've seen yet!

Finally started my entry a couple days ago.  You can follow my build notes as I post them to my facebook page but here is what I have so far:










This is of course 100% scratch built using styrene, cardboard, pvc fittings and other misc. greeblies.  The only toy parts I will wind up using are 2 star wars missile launchers (used as engine details), A 1:12 scale motorcycle seat and handlebars, and one Gi-Joe BMF missile launcher gun for the wing missile launcher (Going to have the same play features as the original toy!

I know it's not 100% accurate with the original toy, but I'm taking some constructive liberties as I am basically making this up as I go and eye-balling each part.  I'm using mostly hot glue to hold it all together, as well as super glue in some joints, so I am hoping it holds steady through to the painting process (It should, this is the same technique I used when I constructed the Pre-Viszla mando speeder bike).
