One more pic of Luke. He has a belt cut out from another Luke that allows him to use his highly posable legs.

I'm coming in just under the wire with this one.  I really didn't think I was going to finish her in time - ben working on her when I could all month long. (There are still some rough bits, I know...  Really still learning how to sculpt with green stuff, so I will likely go back and fix some spots once I'm better with it.)  I present my SA 3.75" Hera from Rebels.
I was personally disappointed when Hasbro decided to go 5 poa with Rebels and since she's my favorite character on the show, she's the first I decided to try my hand at.  She retains all typical articulation for Black Series level figures, which I've tried to show in the photos. (ball neck, ball shoulder, ball elbow, swivel wrist, ball torso - which was a pain to get a mara jade upper torso to work with an x-wing pilot lower body..., swivel hips, ball knees, ball ankles.)  She uses parts from 6 different figures (plus green stuff and paint) altogether.  Her dio accessory is a small refueling station.  I figured as Rebels on the run, they could leave these small fuel pods at various locations to help them out in a jam.  (The dio piece is made out of Kinder eggs containers, Lego pieces and one piece from a model kit.)  The weathered Phantom shuttle doesn't count for the contest, I realize, but I thought the refueling station would look silly with nothing to refuel.  I hope you enjoy her!

Here is my entry. This is a custom VERGERE figure with a section of the sentient planet Zonama Sekot diorama made with real plant life. Vergere's head is a resin cast that is a cast copy of the original headsculpt that I did. Her lightsaber has a metal hilt and it magnetizes to the side of the pouch on her left side. Vergere is fully poseable too. Even more pics of this custom VERGERE can be seen in my thread here:http://www.imperialshipyards.net/SMF/index.php?topic=3778.810

This is my final entry. Good luck to everyone! This thread is full of incredible work!

In thinking about the word 'ultimate' and creating an ultimate version of an already iconic character, I began to wonder what George Lucas' ultimate influence was when he was writing Star Wars. I knew that Lucas was a big fan of Akira Kurosawa's work in film and that his inspiration for the costumes, aesthetics, and philosophies for the Jedi and Sith characters were greatly influenced by Eastern cultures, especially Samurai. Chief among the references used by Ralph Mcquarrie in designing Darth Vader's look and costume were the concepts of the 'dark knight' trope from western medieval culture and of course samurai.

This made me ask the question, "What if Akira Kurosawa had directed a science fiction film--and what if Star Wars was a collaboration between Kurosawa and George Lucas?"

This figure is entitled "The Ultimate Influence" and combines the Darth Vader we know today merged a classic 16th century Samurai warrior in full battle armor. This is the ultimate version of the "Dark Father" Samurai character. He comes with 2 different styles of helmet, 3 different reinterpretations of the classic lightsaber/katana, and an unmasked evil Anakin Skywalker head.

 Better late than never.

My entry is a Clone trooper deserter. Tired of the war, he abandons his armor and walks off the battlefield to find a life outside of the Grand Army of the Republic.

Everyone's entries look great. Good work, and good luck!

I cant believe I got it all done.   :P
I also cant believe the entries.  Everyone is bringing their A-game here.
IABF's Vegere is amazing.
Samurai Vader?!?  I saw mashup pics of that on Pinterest.  Really cool.
Luke Sprywalker's Green ninja and kata.  Whoa!
Ron.  The Wonder from Down Under.

Here's my Ultimate Bastila Shan with mini-diorama.

FEATURES:
Pony tail:   Packing wire with copper wire wrapped around it to simulate the berret.
Base of skull:   Ball peg
Neck:   Home made ball peg joint from a Halo figure.
Shoulder armor:   Hinge joint made with neoprene rubber.
Shoulders, and elbows are original ball joints from TBS Bastila.
Wrists: Ball pegs made from metal pins.
Torso:   Ball joint utilizing lower half of GI Joe Retaliation Lady Jaye.
Hips:    Standard GI Joe metal ball pegs.
Skirt.    Part of the plastic from the skirt was replaced with neoprene rubber.
Thigh:   Home made swivel joint made from brad nails.
Knees:  Double hinge jounted.
Calves at boot level:   Home made swivel joints made from brad nails.
Ankle:   Rocker  joints

That's 24 POA with the knees counting as two each.

Note the position of the ponytail here

Thanks ISYs.

Okay got it posted!

Sorry I was almost late with this it's been a rough couple of weeks and a really crappy Thanksgiving. The entire family came down with a stomach flu, and it was a bad one. I almost skated out of it but on Thursday evening it came down on me like a box of hammers.

Anywho, I got the Ultimate ESB Han Solo:

Lighted Mini Stand (Home Depot drain, amber resin, and puck light)
VC Bespin Han Legs (with LC Cloud City Guard lower legs because I hate his skinny ones)
Hoth Legs Are GI Joe FireFly Uppers and Hoth Han Lowers (Qinlan soft goods skirt painted blue)
Shirt Torso is POTJ Bespin Han (modified with a neck peg and arm and waist receivers)
Bespin Jacket is POTJ Bespin Han
Hoth Torso is Saga Legends Hoth Han (modified with a neck peg)
VC Bespin Han Head
SL Hoth Han Head (modified neck hole)
Hoth Open Jacket is VC Echo Base Han
VC Bespin Han Arms
VC Echo Base Han Arms (modified shoulder peg)
VC ANH Han arms
SL Hoth Han Arms
POTF Han in Carbonite (with re-sculpted face and closed back)
Accessories:
Folded Down Hood
Snow Goggles
Neckerchief
Hoth Binoculars
Hoth Scanner
Welding Mask
Welding Goggles
Welding Torch
Breather Mask
Two Mynock
Gun Belt
Filler Belt
Blaster
Hand Cuffs
Arm Shackles

This guys got a lot more combinations by using different legs and torsos, jackets and gear! This is what I'd like to see Hasbro put out as a standard.

Unfortunately I didn't get to finish his Hoth hat and hood that were going to be two separate removable pieces. Also the Han in Carbonite was going to get lights as well but I just didn't have time. This is my final entry. I hope you all like him!

Ok folks, I am locking this down as the entry phase is now over. Looking forward to getting all these organized and it will soon be time to get to the prizes! Thanks for all who entered. I know this one was a little more involved which was why we went with the two month time frame.
