#Buildingtoysformyson project: FA-MT speeder
« on: March 18, 2015, 07:23:11 AM »
Because I’m watching Star Wars Rebels together with my kids every Sunday, and me being a logistics guy, it struck my mind that a huge organization as the Empire needs some serious transport department to get all the troops and supplies on the right place, on the right time to oppress its citizens correctly. Of course the (Kenner) transporters that can be seen on Star Wars Rebels look nicely, but after several attempts to build a transporter like that, and failing dramatically at it, I thought it was about time to help the little wooden Emperor out on this matter… there for:

Ladies and gentleman, I present to you the FA-MT (Fast Action – Multiple Transport)

A fast moving, and compact landspeeder that can be used for transport of goods, soldiers or both at the same time!

This landspeeder is my own design and as the first pictures shows I’ve tried several design options to come to the final speeder. The FA-MT is compact, cheap to build and very vast! A fully stormtrooper loaded FA-MT can be emptied on the battlefield within 10 seconds (with a well-trained squad).

Please enjoy the pictures:

And now with paint:
The crew: one black stormtrooper as driver and one board gunner

Ladies and gentleman, the FA-MT a great transport speeder that will be valuable for each combat situation!

Pretty cool. I too am a logistics guy. Without supplies there is no battle.
