Wow! Was the base figure for this the Slave Leia?

You are really turning it into something fantastic. I can''t wait to see this completed. Back to the front page.

fantastic.  I had a similar thought about using the leia figure to make a 6" scale OOLA to go with the jaba the hut dio whenever they finally put that out there...  Good to see someone else doing a twi-lek out of the leia figure too!

Your animated boba looks great, what are you useing to make the hip holster?!  I wish I could get my hands on another boba to do this exact same thing....

No, this was certainly not off of a Slave Leia. The base for this is a Marvel's Mystique figure

I bought a Slave Leia thinking I could make use of her but so far I can't. This is a Mystique figure of which I have two or three of. Once I finish this figure my plan is to make an Asaji Ventress from a Mystique as well. The figures face is actually pretty perfect for both Talon and Ventress and the lack of sculpting on the figure makes it a great base

Just saw the front page post, haha. You've just forced my hand to make something out of a Slave Leia.  ;D

I definitely should have waited for your answer first. Let me go correct that.

Either way what a great looking figure. I really think you are onto something here with this and cannot wait to see it completed.

I guess I was just hopeful that the Slave Leia could be turned into something useful. IMO, she is probably the most aesthetically unpleasing 6 inch Black Series Figure Hasbro has released.

Yeah, like I said, I have one and really have tried hard to find something to do with her but I just can't. I'm hoping this Darth Talon figure comes out even partially well because then I can ride the momentum into making the Asaji Ventress from the same Mystique base. Although my wife made a suggestion that I like better. She pulled up a picture I did of Darth Talon fights Ayla Secura and said "why don't you make the blue chick too. You won't have to paint it (since Mystique is blue). I think she may be on to something

nice work so far on that 6" Talon! I haven't had the pleasure of seeing the 6" Leia in person, but I can imagine giving preference to ML ladies. Most of them wear vacuum formed body suits anyway, so they're perfect base figures.

I'll have to post a pic of a custom She-Ra I'm working on, based on the ML Hope Summers. This 6" stuff is growing on my, despite me not having a single 6" SW figure  ;D

That makes much more sense!  I'm so unfamiliar with the 6" lines that I wouldn't have guessed that!.   I should have known better though, looking back at the images she's way too tall to be the leia figure!

Do you happen to have a link to a stock image of the mystique figure?  I'd like to see what this started out as...

Wow, JPB she is gorgeous. You have got to be stoked with how cool she is turning out.

Oh the pain knowing Hasbro is not planning on giving us one of these anytime soon. Off to the front page with more comments.

Looking good so far, JPB. She'd look great standing next to the 6" Maul, despite the fact they never knew each other  :)

This is amazing! So so so good! I would buy 2! Just 1 little suggestion, I'm sure others have mentioned it, but the two spikes on the side of her head should be sanded down and rounded. Otherwise amazing, amazing work!
