Custom Creator sends word on a Collector's Workbench Custom Contest
« on: September 08, 2012, 05:08:49 AM »
Alright troops, the PopBot has hit the fan! ThreeA has invaded The Workbench, and that means we need troops!

Our next custom contest will start September 1st and run until December 1st.

Your task, should you choose to accept it, is to create a hunter/survivor in a Post Apocalyptic World

The only rule for the contest is your figure entry MUST have a gas mask of some type. The more creative the better! Make a sniper, grunt, paratrooper, mad scientist. Whatever your mind can come up with! Any scale is accepted.

We'd prefer your custom to be in the style of Ashley Wood/ThreeA, but anything will be accepted.

MUST BE NEW CUSTOMS ONLY!

Looking for a prize?? Greedy soldiers!

GRAND PRIZE:  Ashley Wood 1:12 scale African Defense Bramble figure (brand new in box)

Second Place: Adult costume mask from Sucker Punch. Wear it for Halloween or store it on a foam head in your room.

Third Place:  Neca's upcoming figure of Vector from Resident Evil

This is the site link: http://s4.zetaboards.com/CustomCreator/site/

Thanks for taking the time!

Seeing as how my custom is 12" tall, then yea, I'd say 1/6 is allowable... ;)

This board is not currently accepting new registrations.
Error Code: 22013:6046748

Anybody know anything about this?  It would suck if I built a fig for the competition (which I did) and not be able to join.  Any help would be appreciated.

So, Collectors Workbench had a contest for "Gasmasks and Survival".  This is my entry.  Go vote for your favorite (as long as it is me!).
http://forums.collectorsworkbench.com/forum/3852237/

The Fiction:

After "The Incident", everything changed. Those that remained struggled daily for survival. A few faired better than most and began roaming the wastelands, offering their services to the highest bidder. The best of these was the man known only as "Fett". Wild rumors swirled about concerning his unknown past. Some claimed he was a clone of an infamous bounty hunter from days past. Others claimed he was a deserter from the Grand Army. What was known was that he was indeed the best of the best. He commanded outrageous prices for his services. He traveled the wastes alone, a nomad, with only a trained Ronto whom he called "Slave" as his companion. A man of few words, Fett was a force to be reconned with. He carries a wide assortment of weaponry (both visible and cleverly hidden) on his persona. He is never seen in public without his ever present gasmask, even when environmental controls have filtered out contagions.

Thanks for tuning in!
