It's that time again, folks................
Announcing the Imperial Shipyards "Build a Custom Mando Contest"

Starting today, Sept 19 to run through Oct 19, We put the challenge to you custom builders to create your best custom mando figure. Repaint, scratch build, kitbash, or sculpt your figure together and post pics of it in this thread. WIP pics and commentary are welcome but the post that contains your completed entry must say "this is my entry" somewhere within it and contain no more than 5 pics.

Any scale or line of figures or parts will be accepted but please, no dioramas, vehicles, supporting figures/beasts, or photo editing will be allowed. Figure must be an all-new creation and can't have been posted here or anywhere else in the past. Only 1 entry per member, please. All entrants must have at least 10 postings in our regular forums. After the ending date of the contest, voting for the grand prize winner will begin. No cheating or vote padding allowed. "we will know"

There are two prizes to play for here. One will be a random draw from all of the entrants where the winner will get a loose TAC Animated Debut Boba Fett figure shipped to his or her address. This random draw will occur after the closing date of the contest.

The grand prize winner will be chose after the completion date of the contest in a voting thread which will last a week and will be subject to a vote-off in the event of a tie. The grand prize for this contest is to be the new Hasbro redemption prototype armor Boba Fett figure.
Winner must understand that this prize is subject to Hasbro's distribution of this redemption figure, including any delays or possible early endings of the promotion "We have to wait for it to show up." I have mailed off for one and assume that it will arrive close to if not after the ending date of this contest. Hasbro has cashed the check so hopefully, it's on it's way.

Worth playing for?  Lets see you build your best custom mando figure.

UPDATE: the grand prize has been delivered to me and is just waiting to be won by one of you. It's on now!

Hats off to our Clonehead for organizing this and explaining everything down to the smallest detail. Sounds great Clint and thank you for organizing and contributing the prizes for this contest.

I would love to see someone make that new Owl Faced Gal TCW Mando that we saw in the new TCW Trailers. I even have a kit bash somewhere if I can recall and might just take a stab at some paint I like the sound of this so much.

Hrrrmmm, after Walon, Vau, my Mando Commander, Mando Sniper, Sandalorian, Dandalorian, and Aurra Sing in Mando Armor, I'm going to have a tough time coming up with new material! Seems like a great challenge though!

The last Mando I created was for Eli during the Toy Drive. This new one I created some time after. Dad gave me this action figure for practice as a way for me to learn different painting techniques. First it was just simple paint application, trying to stay in the lines and pick matching colors for the figure, but after, Dad taught me how to do some weathering with my Grievous figure, and then I had to try it on my Mando too.

THIS IS MY ENTRY

And we have our first entry! That's a nice looking mando, Elias.

Believe it or not, I have a figure started for this as well.

I will post a wip pic tonight.
