I always appreciate JDeck keeping me updates on the latest from Bandai. I sure wish we could get some dedicated sellers of that stuff here in the US. Oh well, thats what Amazon and eBay and BBTS are for!

Daggone, but it is great to see Rodger back to doing some Star Wars Work! I so miss the New Sandcrawler Workshop.

"Here's a custom MINING GUILD GONK POWER DROID figure and custom made solid resin cast SENSOR accessory. Both the custom Gonk Droid and the custom Sensor accessory are custom painted for that used Star Wars look.

This custom Mining Guild Gonk Power Droid figure and custom made solid resin cast Sensor accessory set are FOR SALE"

Thats a pretty nice set up if you ask me.

I-am-Boba-Fett is back with an update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, November 29 2016
"Here is an all new custom super articulated DASH RENDAR figure made with modern G.I. Joe figure articulation. Dash Rendar's accessories include: a blaster pistol, removable custom upper torso armor, and a strong magnetically attached custom made resin cast jetpack (made to look similar to the jetpack that Dash uses in the N64 Star Wars Shadows of the Empire video game).

This custom action figure is FOR SALE and you can purchase it by clicking this link."

I like the looks of him. Heaven knows super arty figures are getting rarer and rarer these days!

JDeck lights things up!
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, November 29 2016
"

I added some lighting
. I attached 8 warm white LED undercounter lights to the top of the shelf. If you use regular cool white LEDS it might look like disco Ewoks. Then I taped some deer fence, sort of a plastic chicken wire, over the lights. Then I stuck some artificial cedar branches throgh the holes. That's it. I think it looks much better, it's not as drab and gloomy. I've been wanting to build an in shelf fully light diorama for a long time."

It is really cool how he hid the lights and added to an already great set up.

Did you see Stronox's DC Customs?
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, November 29 2016
"Had to take a break from Star Wars for a minute but thought I would share...Marvel Legends is the best when it comes to superhero action figures so I thought some DC characters should get some love since their figures never match in scale. I have created the latest versions of Superman and Lex Luthor from the comics, Lex wearing his Superman power suit and the new (or in the comics the old Superman)..."

I also shared a great version of Batman he did yesterday so be sure to scroll to see that one too. It is definitely no wonder I consider Stronox one of the best customizers in existence.

Ajunta Pall shows us a 3.75" Custom Hovertank Trooper...

"Heres my wip pics of my custom 3.75" Hover tank Trooper (heavy munitions/demolitions) with Incindiary explosive device terror-droid. And some finished pics. Although I have done upgrades since I took these pics, like paint apps. Hope you like them because I really like how they turned out."

His small droid if ftw too!

Gold Leader One is back with a custom figure update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, November 29 2016
"Here is another custom from a video game I grew up playing. This is my version of Moff Seerdon, the main villain from the video game Star Wars: Rogue Squadron.

While there are no official images of Moff Seerdon, I put together my own version of what I thought he would look like. You could always hear the smugness and overconfidence in his voice, and to me the figure head I chose seems to best match that."

His full back story and more details can be found at the aforementioned link.

JDeck shares news on new Revell Kits...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, November 29 2016
"I just found out that Revell is re-releasing the AT-AT, Slave I, ARC-170, Republic cruiser, Jedi Starfighters Imperial Shuttle and Y-wing. However they seem to be expensive, meybe because they were just released, i dont know. I imagine it's a repaint like the Imperial Shuttle. I'm stoked about the AT-AT, I've been wanting another one for a while, but the prices were too high. I would like it better if they fixed the raised panel line issue, thats a huge drawback for me. It makes weathering pretty difficult.

I'm not sure where they get the scale from, they claim the shuttle is 1/106, but according to my math it's closer to 1/144. Same with the AT-AT, they claim it's 1/53, but I had calculated it to be closer to 1/82. I guess it all depends on the resources.

"I fear nothing. All is as the Force wills it."

Fans around the world are all anticipating the new adventure in a galaxy far, far away….as Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is getting closer to release! One of the most exciting new characters introduced in this epic film is Chirrut Îmwe, a blind warrior monk from Jedha. Today we are thrilled to present the 1/6th scale collectible figure of Chirrut Îmwe! Specially crafted based on the character's appearance in the movie, the extremely life-like collectible figure features a newly developed head sculpt, a meticulously tailored costume, detailed weapons and accessories including a staff and a crossbow, and a specially designed figure stand with movie logo.

JDeck just about finishes his Endor Dio...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, November 28 2016
"The Forest moon Ewok display diorama shelf is just about finished. The first thing I did, I mixed my dirt with glue and water to create a paste. I applied that around the tree trunks, to give it a rootball look. Then I sprayed the terrain with spray adhesive and sprinkled my dry dirt, then the forest litter. After that I made some small bushes and plants, using different mosses and dried plants. Thats about it, with all the prep work I did it didn't take long at all.

The next step is to address the lighting. What I'm going to do is get some small warm white LED under counter lights, attach them under the top of the shelf. Then take some artificial cedar garland and make a forest canopy. That way the light will be filtered, and create realistic shadows. That's the plan anyway."

It is really looking great to me.

Ron Hembling shares a new diorama...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, November 28 2016
"Hi All,

This dio is for a friend for her partner. He loves Vader so having a chat with her she decided to have Vader killing a Jedi aboard the DS2.

So with that is mind I didn't want the usual hallways ect so I went with a small power generator room.

The figures are both from Hasbro BS 6" line and Vader has had his joints glued then puttied up. I altered the robe and cape to sit better, I also used the left fisted hand from the Vader Bandai kit and it worked perfectly.

The Jedi is a Obi Wan body with a Angel head used for a Alien Jedi, I got the robes from ebayand as with Vader his joints were glued and puttied up.

The base is foam board with the pipes being large plastic card tubes and the small black power boxes are pieces from the Bandai Sandtrooper back pack with plastic rectangle length being used.

The small generators are my sons old Ventolin inhalers and the sparks/energy were done using Woodland scenic water effects. I poured the water effects on some non stick paper and spread it out and once dry painted the back and then rolled the pieces up and glued them in place.

Ron"

As always Ron's work is just over the top cool!

Dag Marus articulates more Rogue One Figures...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, November 28 2016
"New one in progress.

Chirrut Imwewe is mostly the Resurgence Luke body to keep his shorter stature. (If only Jyn were the proper height!) I'm using softgoods for his lower body (which will thankfully cover up any scraping at the knee joints. Still working out how I'm going to attach that to the figure, but I like the look of him so far. I also intend on grinding down a bit of that left forearm and attaching his gauntlet. I debated on trying to find a cheap SA Fett to steal the arm, from, but I doubt I can find one for cheap enough. So, here's hoping a little dremel work will take care of the issue!"

He has since finished this figure so be sure to see both posts!

Stan is back with multiple updates...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, November 28 2016

He sure does look good to me. He also has shared two more updates since this one too so please scroll around!

Ajunta Pall is back with more Rogue One Customs...

"Im back here with an update of my custom Chirrut Imwe. This time i repainted the face and gave him a custom bowcaster. 14 poa ball jointed neck, shoulders, elbows, knees, ankles and ball jointed hips. Swivel torso and wrists with soft goods skirt and cape. Hope you enjoy, thanks for looking."

14 points of articulation sure sounds awesome to me and what a great looking figure! Make sure you scroll around too as there is more to see.

Legion078 shows you how to outfit incomplete figures...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, November 28 2016
"In this topic I show you how I complete action figures, that are missing parts, with either original or custom resin parts.

Some years ago there was an Asian seller on eBay who sold 5 Galactic Marines from Hasbro's 30th Anniversary Collection for just $9.99 (and free shipping!!) You might know who I mean.(I don't want to say "back in the good old days, when everything was so much cheaper...") The only bad thing about this was what the figures came without the helmet, backpack and blaster!

They actually came like this:"

See how he shapes em up!

Fiala Fernbrugg reviews the Revell AT-ACT Kit...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, November 28 2016
"The All Terrain Armored Cargo Transport (AT-ACT) was a larger version of the standard All Terrain Armored Transport combat walker that featured a dedicated cargo bed for the transportation of heavy building materials or combat munitions. It was deployed at major Imperial construction projects, such as shipyards and sprawling research installations.
[wookieepedia: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/All_Terrain_Armored_Cargo_Transport]

Revell AT-ACT: http://www.revell.de/en/products/star-wars/star-wars-rogue-one/id/06754.html

scale: 1/100
number of parts: 45
length: 217mm (8,54 in.)
height: 197mm (7,76 in.)
skill levell: 1
light and sound effects
Batteries are included (2x LR44)
selling price (in Austria): 19,99 €
articulation: swivel-mounted hips, swivel-mounted knees, swivel-mounted ankles, ball-jointed neck, swivel-mounted laser cannons
sound effects: walking sound and firing sound
light effect: red light in the cockpit

The Revell kit looks great. The articulation is adequate for this scale. The grey could be a little bit darker and some weathering would have been nice. The sound effects are pretty good (loud and clear)."

Gold Leader One converts an OTC to an TFA Falcon...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, November 28 2016
"Here is something I quickly did today. I took the Disney Store Millennium Falcon and converted it into a The Force Awakens Millennium Falcon. It's just more then a simple radar dish swap. I had to do some dremeling and put some parts together to make it work. I feel the Titanium Ultra line from Hasbro in 2005 is far superior then Disney's. Now I'm not knocking Disney's line, I do like them. I just feel like Disney's line is somewhat of a continuation of the titanium ships, and that I would be buying doubles."

His full conversion details with images and how too is a pretty interesting read. I always like seeing how folks achieve good things!

Mr. Jedi 1977 gives us a custom figure update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, November 28 2016
"Jumping into this update, which are mostly upgrades and a new General from ROTJ General Blissix ... and a new version of vader . I was not to happy about the Emperors wrath vader but none the less it was still a nice effect and great to add to the collection . I had a spare vader , I was thinking about this one for sometime and decided to try a bit more of an accurate version with lightning effects . Let me know what you think on this one , back soon with a carded update!"

I always like seeing updates from Mr. Jedi 1977!

Mandalore 25 shows us a Clone Assassin...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, November 28 2016
"Pretty stoked about the way this one turned out, looks right out of the Revenge of the Sith video game, a Clone Assassin. Designed to kill Jedi with genetically enhanced speed, aptitude for predicting strikes from training against padawans, and ability to resist jedi mind tricks. Base is just a clone I had in my fodder bins with a cast of that type of clone helm. The soft goods are custom, with the edges liquid stitched up so they won't fray. Blades came from my weapons bin, modified with bits from my scrap bin, with the left blade actually having a battle droid arm on his for the joint that allows the blade to rotate."

That liquid stitching sounds interesting and that movable blade is pretty cool I do admit.

Blizzard Force finishes his what if German Vintage Cards...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, November 28 2016
"some may remember the "Krieg der Sterne" project I talked about a while back...well, I finished it in the meantime. ;D So now, it's back from the newest vintage-style figures (Rogue One) back to the beginning....the "first 12", to be precise.

The German distributor for the Star Wars minifigures was Parker (a subsidiary of General Mills). They had planned to do a line of German cards to go with the figures (like Meccano, Takara, Harbert etc.) under the German designation "Krieg der Sterne", but those plans never surpassed the concept stage, only a few ads exist with pics of a mockup "KdS"-Stormtrooper.

Since I've started collecting vintage figures a while ago (I've been more of a modern collector until lately, tbh) I always wanted something special to display them...so I finished a "what if" version of the German Parker cards. Everything was lovingly translated into German (front and reverse "12back" side), all under the "Krieg der Sterne" logo.

Here are the first six completed (of 12) cards...like the Rogue One set these have been printed at a professional printing agency..."

Talk about cool folks!

Trust me this is just the start of his great new description for his Thrawn.

Foxtrot Delta builds a better weapons system...
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, November 27 2016
"Not really a vehicle but a weapon system:
This is the DFW-20, a dual firing autolaoded cannon that tracks and eliminates aerial or ground threats through motion sensors and heat signatures, the turret rotates left or right, and the cannons elevate and depress, the hatch can open or close and has a vision block for the operator to see through during heavy conflict, this weapon system is light enough to be mounted on vehicles, be placed on top of buildings and be air transportable or air dropable."

I like it, we need more type of this thing on the pegs for us to upgrade our stuff!

JDeck shares a great background he made for his Endor Dio...
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, November 20 2016
"Here is how I'm making the backdrop for my Endor diorama. I'm using my redneck engineering camouflage technique. What you need are poster board, dark green, light green, brown and tan/white spray paints. You will also need sticks/dowel rods, tree branches and or artificial plants.

First I spray painted the poster board brown, after that was dry I placed the dowels and sticks vertically to simulate trees. Then I sprayed it all light green. After that was dry I used various plant limbs and artificial pine branches as stencils and painted over them in tan. Afterwards I sprayed a few places, like the top and bottom dark green, using the artificial pine as a mask. Then remove the sticks/dowels. Thats it, easy backdrop."

It sure looks nice to me!

Jaeger 45 is back with new work...
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, November 20 2016
"Up next: Taym Dren-Garen and Nizuc Bek

Taym Dren-Garen, played by actor and stuntman Larry Holt, appears to be Jabba's barbecue chef. He also courageously stood up to Luke Skywalker, shooting his robot hand before suffering defeat. He is built from an Indiana Jones Russian Soldier, with a TBS Imperial Officer head, cast Lando helmet, VC Nikto Skiff Guard arms (Dremeled), and custom soft goods. I sculpted his catcher's vest from a flexible Sculpey product to leave some give for articulation."

Trust me this is just the start of the great work he has shared.

Ajunta Pall is back with new work...

4) Cassian Andor
"

They all look great to me!

Mandalore 25 shares two new customs...
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, November 20 2016
"Got another two figures today, these two from the New Jedi Order. First up Lowbacca, nephew of Chewbacca, and companion of the Solo Twins. Made him from a sandstorm Chewbacca, because his hair is shaggier than his uncle's, with clone wars Chewbacca feet, because Lowie has larger feet. Sculpt his little Em Teedee translator droid, and made his bronze colored saber.

He's listed here if anyone is interested:

Next is my Saba Sebatyne 2.0, a pretty different build still using a marvel universe lizard tail, and base for the head, but has Wioslea torso to look like robes, and maintain her femininity. The head is sculpt again, I like the forehead better, used some blackwash to enhance the sculpt, but it still doesn't really show in the pictures, and the lips are a bit duck bill looking to me. Overall I like her better, shows how I've improved, but if she sells well, I'd like to take another crack at the head sculpt.

If anybody is interested, she's listed here:"

Both look pretty good to me, they sure would make awesome Christmas Gifts for those who like EU Star Wars!

Gold Leader One is back with a new custom TIE Pilot...
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, November 20 2016
""This is TIE SS-2-5. You can call me Wedge!"

I decided to whip up a quick custom of my favorite character, Wedge Antilles. This is based on his appearance from Star Wars Rebels. He defects to the Alliance along with Hobbie, with the help of Sabine.

Parts I used:
Head: Wedge Antilles Black Series Snowspeeder Pilot
Body: Biggs Darklighter Imperial Pilot Legacy I

Afterwards I painted Wedge's head cover/cap black and dropped a tiny bit of tacky material to tighten up the ball-jointed neck. I have another TIE Pilot that I got for cheap coming in from ebay soon. It's a 5POA figure (no head under helmet). I'm just going to drill out the helmet and use that. The one included with Biggs has an unusual opening."

Looks like great work to me!

Fiala Fernbrugg is back!

The backpack is a resin cast made by my good friend legion078. I hope you like it."

-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, November 20 2016
"K-2S0 is like the biggest tease in terms what LOOKS like there should be knee and elbow joints. I tried hacking up some spare droid parts I had laying around at first, but it kind of screwed everything up. Then, I realized I have a bunch of spare wrist pegs for Hot Toys figures laying around and they work perfectly (at least for his knees.) Still figuring out the arms. Might pick up a spare IG-88 and use his arms so this guy can actually bend at the elbows. Then it's a simple matter of painting the joints and boom! Done!"

Boy that looks good, folks go out and find yourself some wrist pegs!

Legion078 is back with more mini-dios!
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, November 20 2016
"When I got home from work on Wednesday night I grabbed another picture frame and started the next project.

First, I painted the back with a brown acrylic paint. I used a little more paint to give it a bit of texture:

I let the paint dry over night. Technically you can also go from here and let it be this way. I might do another one like this and just apply a few plants. That was it looks like an arid lake/riverbed. Then I glued the plate behind the outer frame:

Next I applied a thick layer of (wood) glue onto the brown surface (about 0,3cm/0.12") and scattered some sand onto it."

He has created a nice tutorial with pics on how you too can create a Geonosis Dio!

Dag Marus takes matters into his own hands!
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, November 18 2016
"I am by NO means good at customizing figures (especially painting them), but the state of the SA Star Wars line and the likelihood of us not getting the core members of the Rogue One team has sort of forced me to make my own. So, here we go!

First up? Baze. Obviously still a work in progress. I took the Rebel Ground Crew figure's body, did a head swap, and then spent some quality time with the dremel, hacking that chest armor off. I also made a slot in his back for the back piece to hang. I still want to swap out his hands, paint the suit the proper color, and add some of the little armor bits and pouches, but the base is there. I also want to swap out the plastic cape for a soft goods one, just so it can move a little."

Sniff. Sniff. It is a beautiful thing to see all that movement. Bravo Dag Marus!

Mandalore25 is back with two new custom figures...
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, November 18 2016
"First up Lord Skere Kaan, former Jedi Master, leader of the Brotherhood of Darkness, betrayed by Darth Bane into unleashing the thought bomb, killing off the brotherhood so Bane could set forth the Rule of Two. Personally I hate the Rule of Two, I believe more in the the Revan, Malak approach, but I can see why Bane would see the need for it with the crap the Brotherhood was doing. He's a comic Luke, mixed with Vader, a Talon Karrde head, and custom soft goods.

He's listed here if anyone is interested:

Second is Komari Vosa, failed Jedi apprentice turned cult leader from the Star Wars: Bounty Hunter Video game. She's a Marvel Universe Psylocke figure with tassels cut from a rubber sheet, painted black, and a head swap.

She's listed here if anyone is interested:"

Both seem like great articulated custom action figures to me!

Ron Hembling is back with an update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, November 18 2016
"Hi All,

Another little update.

I have given the dewback a full body paint using Tamiya's Olive Drab and once dry I then painted it with Vallejo's US Dark Green. Once dry I then gave it two washes of Games Workshop Dark Angels Green (sorry don't know the new name).

The first sandy to be started on is the officer and everything except the bino's are from Bandai. The bino's I got from from a mate on the Bandai forum who has been casting them and the details are awesome.

The back pack was altered as per the clients instructions and a new filter was added to the left side of the pack back using plastic card.

Ron"

It is looking good to me!

"Here's a card I did way back, found a photo of it going through my files: Converted a Vintage Stormtrooper into an Imperial Sandtrooper. Pauldron, ammo pouch and viewfinder are all custom made, made a cardback and blister bubble for it to go all in."

I could so get excited for a line like this again. Couldn't you see one vintage line release like this a year on vintage cardbacks. That would be so cool.

Foxtrot Delta shows us a custom for awhile back...

"Here'a a custom vehicle I did way back, found a photo of it going through my files: Republic Speeder, built for speed to hunt down any remaining Jedis, made from a Joe Artic Vehicle and repurposed for the Star Wars universe being the same scale, built a crew cage with two seats, dual laser cannons mounted underneath the nose, and added a rear cannon that swivels left to right as well as up and down."

It sure looks perfect for the SW Verse to me. And is full size to fit the figures. It is getting hard to find that nowadays!

JDeck is back with more Trees...
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, November 17 2016
"Here is another type of tree you can make. I took a dowel rod and carved it into a spear. Then I spray painted it using rust-oleum camo brown. I like that because it dries very flat in color, no gloss at all. Then I drilled tiny holes with a finger drill. Then I took some preserved/dyed seamoss dipped the ends in woodglue and stuck them in the holes. They are taking me about an hour each to make, it's going to be a long day. I want to get all the trees and some bushes done before I start on the terrain."

He is really making a fun dio!

Photoshopped to see how it will display

This literally took me about 4 hours to complete between two nights. It's just some leftover scrap pink insulation foam, paint, some railroad scenery items, and a plastic skeleton from some Halloween garland I bought a few years ago. Just wanted to get it out of my system before I go re-stock on foam for the next project."

Now that is what I call a cool surprise!

Coruscant Cantina Customs is back with an update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, November 15 2016
"I finally finished a custom that I've had in pieces for quite a while. I wanted to give my Djas Puhr figure some articulation so that he would be more poseable. I had a spare Bespin Luke lying around, so I decided to combine the two. I dremeled out the head of Djas Puhr so that it would fit on Lukes neck, and then I painted the neck black. I grafted Djas Puhr's hands on to Luke's hand pegs. Lastly, I dremeled out Puhr's holster/belt thing to fit Luke's waist. I think he looks pretty cool!"

I do too. Click on through for the full recipe. I so wish they would re-release that Bespin Luke I have seen it used for so many cool customs over the years.

I'm interested in the Divine Hammers for my universe, but there's a lot of application here both as is and for custom use in any sci-fi setting. There's also plenty of different options to pledge for. It's certainly worth a look, and it's the only other action figure Kickstarter I've considered backing (backed the Boss Fight HACKS)."

"This project is going to take much longer than I thought. Once I get all the trees finished, the groundwork should be easy. I want to depict them doing Ewok stuff, hunting, trapping, hang gliding, gathering, ect. I hope I have room for the catapult too. I may do some smaller separate dioramas, if I cant get it all in one. Or I could just change up the diorama every once in a while, the figures won't be fixed."

So, first of all - I finished some more Rogue One vintage-style cardbacks....here are the next three:

IMPERIAL DEATH TROOPER

REBEL COMMANDO PAO

SCARIF STORMTROOPER (SQUAD LEADER)

All three have been repainted / touched up to a certain degree (especially details like belts, blaster rifles etc.)"

Steezy Collector is back with a Mythos Obi...
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, November 13 2016
"Next custom from my bench is a Mythos inspired Obi Wan Kenobi.

Quite an easy custom to make, until you get to the back pack. I kitbashed the straps from one back pack to another strapless one for the main part of the bag.
The sleeve for the rifle is a piece of plastic glued down.
The rolled up bantha fur sleeping bag is a piece of fabric rolled up, glued and painted.
The straps holding the sleeping bag to the bottom of the back pack are little strips of plastic glued on and painted.

I'm very happy with how this one turned out. I was throwing around the idea of making this one for a while and I'm glad I finally pulled the trigger and went for it."

I too think it turned out great!

Jaeger 45 gives us a custom figure update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, November 13 2016
"And now.... PIGS IN SPACE!!!!

Sort of "me, too" customs (I'll have a few of these), but needed additions to Jabba's ranks.

Yoxgit is a TLC Ugnaught, with the waist peg shortened and pockets flaps resculpted and hips widened with Fixit. Dyed and painted. The head is a cast of the alternate ugnaught head, with some additional sculpting on the hair. Gloves are from an AT-ST driver.

My version of Shasa Tiel is based around the body of Talon Karrde, with vest and arms of Celebration Luke, head and hands of the POTF2 Ishi Tibb, upper boots from a pair of Ellorrs Madak figures, feet from the bin, and belt from Black Widow. He really does have some crazy boots."

I think they both look great.

JDeck is back to work on more Endor Trees...

Im not making the entire tree, just the bottom half."

Clone Troopr arties up K2SO...
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, November 10 2016
"When I opened the K-2SO, I was surprised that the figure had all ball-joints. It was almost a tease showing us what could have been back in the Vintage Collection. Star Wars 3.75" collecting has definitely changed in the past few years. But I'm not here to complain.

I gave the 6POA K-2SO more articulation. He now has joints in the elbows, knees, and ankles, along with the original neck, head, shoulder, and hip joints, which totals to 12 points of articulation. Enjoy!"

Wow that looks great. I especially like the image he posted of him sitting beside BB8. Make sure you click through to see what poses full arty gives you!

Mandalore 25 is already back with a new custom...
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, November 10 2016
"Finished another one already, from the cinematic trailer for Star Wars: The Old Republic, Jedi Battlmaster Kao Cen Darach. Turned out pretty sweet, bought a bunch of the base figure for this one so I can make Ven Zallow, and Sith Warrior figures. It's a G.I. Joe figure with the Accelerator Suit, and this one's mostly a repaint, a little black wash too, for it looked pretty flat on it's own, with a Darth Maul head, and a slightly modified robe. The double sided blue saber has magnets in it allowing the blades to come off, it's cool, but it's more for practical reasons considering double sided sabers brake easier in shipping because they're typically glued together.

If anyone is interested, he's listed here"

That sure didn't take long and he looks great. Just what I remember from those old video game trailers.

JDeck shows how to make a cool tree for your next dio!
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, November 10 2016
"This is my first attempt at a small lanky fir tree, for my Endor dio. First i took a dowel rod and carved it into a spear. Then I took a wire brush to it, to carve the bark. I cut some lengths of wire, longer on the bottom smaller at the top, and twisted them around the trunk. Then painted it brown followed by a black dry brush. Afterwards I applied some clump foliage to the wire armatures. Finally sprinkled static grass over the clump foliage, to give it the pine needle look. This is a good concept, I just need more practice. Ill definitely get practice, as I need a bunch of these."

For his first attempt I would say he nailed it. So realistic standing right beside Wicket!

I couldn't agree more. I can see the snow flying can't you! Also, make sure you scroll up to see more for his Trash Compactor Dio too.

Ron Hembling sends in a small update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, November 9 2016
"Hi All,

Just a little update been a little slow but back on track now.

The bags have had leather added to them and the grass flock will be painted to look like fur like I did for my Dewback dio.

The water bottle resin details were cut and sanded off and leather was added and the buckle is from a 1/6 scale figure bag. The saddle so far as had leather added and the rest will be done over the next few days.

Ron"

Even Ron's small updates seem over the top.

Mandalore 25 is back with a two-pack...
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, November 9 2016
"Made the Solo twins, first Jacen, or Darth Caedus, gave him both a red, and green saber for the option. He's made from a Death Star Trooper, simple right? He's black to begin with, so no wear, had to slightly mod the belt to get the current one over it, made the cape, cut the chest armor out of styrene, and swapped the head with a cast of the Hasbro Jacen Solo. I love the way he turned out, wish Hasbro would have made this version, maybe with a sith eyes head swap?

He's for sale here if anyone is interested

The other half of the Solo twins, "Sword of the Jedi" Jaina Solo. This is the DarthArmoressCustoms 2.0 version, I think the outfit isn't as accurate, but the base figure is black, so no wear. She's a slightly modified Marvel Universe Black Widow, with a repainted MU Psylocke head.

She's listed here if anyone is interested"

They both look pretty nice to me!

Coruscant Cantina Customs is back with an update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, November 8 2016
"I haven't posted in a while due to the Halloween costuming frenzy that consumes my house every year. I've worked on a few customs, but I never got around to posting them to the yards. This is a custom inspired by "Numa" from the Innocents of Ryloth episode of Star Wars The Clone Wars. I may modify her at some point, as she certainly isn't screen accurate, but for now, I'll leave her alone."

She looks pretty daggone nice to me. I keep hoping one day we might see this set and this character done as a three pack.

BDC41866 is back with more to come!
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, November 8 2016
"My thanks for the great feedback guys. Well my Space Gorgons needed someone to battle so I thought Id work up a Space Amazon. She is kitbashed from a Marvel Legends Shanna and the female Thor. Used a Data Viper weapon harness, Mandalorian police officer shield and the axe from Deaths Head. More to come..."

Now that would be some battle I think. I really like the array of weaponry on her. She can launch missles and then go old school ax on you!

Panther shares a SOTE Luke...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, November 7 2016
"Good morning

You might have seen a couple of weeks ago, I posted on Facebook a picture of my custom Shadows of the Empire Luke Skywalker, sporting his waistcoat. This weekend after a very busy couple of weeks, I finally got round to painting him. The base figure is a Jedi with a black hand, I have had to repaint all of his skin.

It's a very quick and simple custom, but its one I've always wanted to so since the figure range came out back in 1997.

Looking at the photo I have just taken this morning, I need to touch up his hand. Must have caught when I put his hand back in this morning! I'll touch it up tonight for final pictures."

As you can see it looks great and can go through the full range of motion.

JDeck shares his forest litter recipe...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, November 7 2016
"I started making some forest litter to be spread over the dirt I made yesterday. Its made of mostly found materials, dried moss, twigs, leaves, bark and pebbles. Along with parsley flakes, and tea leaves. I think ill need quite a bit more."

It sure looks like the forest floor I remember from Endor in ROTJ!

"Mining Guild TIE fighters were modified TIE/LN starfighters that the Mining Guild was allowed to use due to its association with the Galactic Empire. In order to make those fighters clearly distinct from the ones in direct service of the Empire, they had a yellow colour scheme. They also had a notch cut in their stabilizers, giving them only eight solar collectors instead of twelve, which gave them improved visibility, but greatly diminished their combat capabilities and maneuverability. This one was modified from the old AMT 1/51 TIE 2-pack. Its wingman was built OOB and given an early, light blue colour scheme."

Folks this is way awesome!

"Hi All,

I am doing a Look Sir, Droids! dio for a client and have completed the back packs and put together the dewback and will start painting and weathering the dewback and then the troopers.

I will also be doing a escape pod soon as well for the dio.

Ron"

Sounds like a great plan to me!

Mandalore 25 is back with a KOTOR Update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, November 6 2016
"I give you all Haazen from the Knights of the Old Republic comics, neither Jedi, nor Sith, but aspiring to be something more! Haazen's design has always intrigued me, and with a Terminator figure I felt it was time to bring him to life. He's a shirtless Darth Maul with the arm, and legs removed to be replaced with Terminator parts. The arm in the modified socket, had to cut the arm off, and drill the pin out, but the legs are heavily glued on, fully moving yet firmly attached. His head is an ep. III Anakin with some more hair sculpt on, the shoulder plates are sculpt too.

For anyone interested, he's listed here."

He looks pretty good to me. I really like how he joined the robotic parts to the human body.

JDeck shares his soil recipe...
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, November 6 2016
" If anyone was wondering how the Ewok dio is coming, well I decided to change directions. Seeing how I have over 25 Ewoks and counting, I would have to build quite a large Tree village to display them. So I'm making an Endor Forest display, that I'll be working on the next few weeks.

I enjoy making forest dioramas, and I pride myself in my homemade soil "recipes". "

His soil looks perfect and you can see the full recipe when you click through. Thanks for sharing the recipe!

Jaeger 45 starts work on a new custom...
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, November 5 2016
"And now, back to our regularly scheduled programming...

Imperial medical technicians from the ISV Argos are working around the clock to resuscitate our patient. Due to his alien physiology, the outcome is far from clear.

Several months back, Sjefke was kind enough to trade me for a pair of head casts from his incredible custom of Cane Adiss. Normally, I wouldn't share a custom this early in the process, but after much consideration as to parts, I had a bit of luck. Sjefke had to put quite a bit of work into customizing the necks. Shortly before Halloween, I discovered the large, skeletal standing rats from the series of skeletal animals populating the Halloween sections of our big box stores (these were from Joann Fabrics). I realized that a pair of the tails, complete with bending wire, though a little narrow, would make great necks. As these are likely being clearanced out as I type, I thought it wound be helpful to share this before they are gone in case anyone else wishes to attempt this character. Good luck!"

Now those necks sure do make sense to me. I can't wait to see how this one turns out. Expect to see more updates!

The 1/144 TIE striker/U-wing is awesome. Those little tanks are really cool, bigger than I thought, they even have a little dude you can pop out the turret cupola."

They look pretty sweet to me too.

JDeck gives Ozzel and upgrade...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, November 1 2016
"Now who doesn't love Admiral Ozzel, well besides Vader. The Saga Ozzel had a great headsculpt, but the body wasn't quite up to snuff. So I decided to make a super articulated Admiral Ozzel. I used the TVC Capt. Needa as a base. I reused the Ozzel rank plaque as well as the code cylinders. Thats the one reason to like the soft plastic Hasbro uses, it cuts very easily. The head isn't a direct swap, so I used the hot glue Vaseline trick. Thats it! An SA Ozzel. It would be cool if Hasbro did some simple kitbashes to upgrade POTF2-SAGA lines."

I couldn't agree more. I keep hoping to see an Imperial Officer show up in the WM Black Series Line. Seeing JDeck's super articulated Imperial Officer sure does take me back to the good ole days of all articulated figures on the pegs!

Jaeger 45 gives us a nice treat on Halloween!
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, November 1 2016
"Happy Halloween!

A bit of a break from my Jabba's Palace spree. I was a bit saddened that Funko never made a generic Gremlin figure; I think that, for ReAction figures, they blend pretty well with Star Wars, in spite of the 5poa. So, taking matters into my own hands, I stripped the mohawk off Stripe, filled and textured the gaps in the back of the head, and, after boiling and popping, recast the entire figure. Then it was time for a whole body repaint.

As the first fully articulated cast I've attempted, I'm pretty happy with the result! I may have to repaint a Stripe to match. Rest assured, if Funko ever revisits Gremlins and produces a generic Gremlin, I'll be more than happy to army build that instead."

Wow, now that is some awesome work!
