the Weequay looks like a great addition to Jabba's court or Hondo's pirate crew.  LOVE that custom!

Thanks again for all the kind comments, and the front page.  Sprywalker, I have to say, you've done some really outstanding work, making it much easier to sort through the parts choices for the customs for this project!

Starchaser, didn't mean to neglect your request.  The backpack is pretty dark, so here's a second cast that shows up a bit better.

Happy Halloween!

A bit of a break from my Jabba's Palace spree.  I was a bit saddened that Funko never made a generic Gremlin figure; I think that, for ReAction figures, they blend pretty well with Star Wars, in spite of the 5poa.  So, taking matters into my own hands, I stripped the mohawk off Stripe, filled and textured the gaps in the back of the head, and, after boiling and popping, recast the entire figure.  Then it was time for a whole body repaint.

As the first fully articulated cast I've attempted, I'm pretty happy with the result!  I may have to repaint a Stripe to match.  Rest assured, if Funko ever revisits Gremlins and produces a generic Gremlin, I'll be more than happy to army build that instead.

And now, back to our regularly scheduled programming...

Imperial medical technicians from the ISV Argos are working around the clock to resuscitate our patient.  Due to his alien physiology, the outcome is far from clear.

Several months back, Sjefke was kind enough to trade me for a pair of head casts from his incredible custom of Cane Adiss.  Normally, I wouldn't share a custom this early in the process, but after much consideration as to parts, I had a bit of luck.  Sjefke had to put quite a bit of work into customizing the necks.  Shortly before Halloween, I discovered the large, skeletal standing rats from the series of skeletal animals populating the Halloween sections of our big box stores (these were from Joann Fabrics).  I realized that a pair of the tails, complete with bending wire, though a little narrow, would make great necks.  As these are likely being clearanced out as I type, I thought it wound be helpful to share this before they are gone in case anyone else wishes to attempt this character.  Good luck!

That Gremlin figure is awesome, i didnt know anyone made them. And the Cane Adiss is going to be awesome too. The rat tail seems like it would be great for a lot of different creatures.

The rat tails are a great idea! I love the lab set up too - brilliant. Now I'm feeling the need to customize a Bith bioengineer/doctor :-)

I finally find some time to get in and see new postings and then photobucket is down. No wonder there are broken images all over the place this morning. I will get this on the front page when PB gets it act back together and I can see the images.

Thanks for the front page! JDeck, Starchaser, thanks.  The Bith scientist is part of a larger, much longer term project, that I'm slowly accruing bits and pieces for.

Sjefke, congrats on the new place!  No worries on the time frame.  I've been dragging my feet on getting these done.  Still not sure if I'm going to get to add articulation, but I'll be happy to see them added to the lineup.  As an aside, that little IV bag held by 2-1B is a cool little accessory. I picked it up with a GI Joe Lifeline at retail.  Just looked at picking up another?  Holy cow, that price went up on the secondary market!
