"Finally finish this toy conversion. I had a lot of setbacks during the process, filling the assembly and projectile holes was challenging, but getting close to the colors was the hardest part.
I also had better expectations for the base, I was expecting to achive a dynamic cloud and ended with a candy cotton block ~ I'll remake the base at some point in the future."

"Painted up a True Heros Apache longbow for a "Dragonfly" look. I brushed on tamiya deep green paint then added some decals from toy hax. The watch tower is made by click n' play and also has toy hax decals"

Originally I wanted to more closely duplicate the layout from the ride itself but the control tower would be roughly from where the viewer would be looking, so had to take artistic license. Main construction is wood, along with PVC, sheet styrene, some kit bashed parts, 3D printed parts, and some crates and door from Hole in the Ground Productions

Yesterday's Fett release was definitely an exercise in frustration at best. I was there at the release time after making a special "break" from work and then it said preorders sold out. I missed it again. So, back to work.
About an hour later it evidently went up for sale for real and within a few minutes it was gone again. Then, we see where folks were able to order 99 at one time?! I mean cmon target! Then, our readers showcased the image you see above that already the cheapest price you can now find for this is 5 times above its regular price. I just want an honest chance to get the action figure like everyone else. Click here to share your thoughts and solutions for how to solve this mess!

"Made the Tusken Chief. Necklace was put together with a bunch of fodder straps glued together. The Pendant was designed in Tinkered and printed along with the black melon. Staff was from Shang-Chi and a few different Gaffi sticks cut and glued together. Rescuptled the head and and necklace bones. Painted the robe."
He just continues to impress. I kinda figured this one was coming after he made the Tusken Warrior!

"Another custom I did within a year of getting an official one. This is my Dr Aphra with BT. I later was able to get a black protocol droid (I think a Disney one) and just paint the eyes. Recipe: comic pack Bultar Swan torso, arms, and head. Juno Eclipse waist and legs. The cap was modded from a Tycho Celchu cap and had to mod the hair as well. Han Solo holster and blaster. The jacket was sculpted. I actually prefer this outfit and jacket over the one they gave us."

"Made the Tusken Warrior from The Book of Boba Fett.
Base figure was a Black Series Armorer. I swapped out the legs of a Tusken Raider. Cut a variety of black fabric and wrapped and tailored it to the source material.
Not too many pictures exist on the webs right now so I paused the show for each episode as reference.
The head was molded and then squished to change shape. Sculpted the additional wrapping around her goggles. Resculpted the face mask as well. Toothpicks for the horns. Breathing apparatus was made with a 3D printed cylinder I modelled, then fed a plumbing wire through for pipes.
Her single braid and tassels on the dress are actually from Aura Sing's hair and a Wonder-Woman figure's lasso cut up and glued together.
This was a lot of fun to make! Stayed up all night to make this. Gonna go catch some Z's now."
Wow, she sure turned out great!

"A small WIP update. I cut down the landing platform to a more suitable size that still fits Slave 1 and the Falcon. I then added a small layer of foam board to the side platform to strengthen it. Once I have added the detail I will then be adding a couple of supports.

"Something I found as a good backing is the plastic carboard type sign board. It really diffuses and spreads the light well. Here's an example, from when I was playing around with it. It was my original idea, but decided to go a different direction."

"A pallet of 117 books dropped off for shipping.
We've shipped over 500 books so far (meaning they are in the possession of USPS) and have at least another 200 ready to go for tomorrow.
We've tried to make them as bulletproof as possible, but there are occasions where packages will get damaged. If your package arrives and is visibly damaged like the one in the photo below, do not open it. Write REFUSED DUE TO DAMAGE and return it to your postal carrier / USPS. They will return it to us and we will file an insurance claim and get you a new book."
I haven't gotten my book yet, but I am hopefull for no damage when I do get it!

"WIP update, yesterday I had a little time between finishing the day job and starting family duties so I finished making the front entrance of the transport bay before cutting out a piece of 40 mm foam for the landing platform. This piece will now need to be cut down so it's not just a square slab and add braces coming from the towers to hold it in place, but that needs to be done after I have added detail to the foam.
The next step is to shape the platform and then I can start detailing this model before adding barriers and braces."
Man, this diorama is gonna be able to hold everything!

"WIP update. I started first shaping the rectangular floor, cutting out a section on the side which can be either an E-Web gun emplacement or a vintage mini rug landing platform. The larger overhang will be a landing platform for a mid-size ship like the Phantom, fighter, etc, while the front will be a walkway with consoles. Under the overhang, I have constructed a doorway for a troop transport park.
My next steps are to make the entrance under the walkway for the front/rear of the transport bay before marking the foam with tiles."

"First WIP build of 2022. I’m putting together a Star Wars 3.75? display piece that will fit on top of some glass shelving I have. This diorama will be an outpost, which will include a garage, command centre with a landing platform.
The area I have to work with is 15.6? x 11.8?, I have cut out the base to this size, making room for the 4 screws holding the top plate to the legs of the shelving unit, this piece will live on. I’ve made the two towers (4? x 4.75? x 15?) that will support the landing platform and cut out the foam board which will be the command area. Right now it kinda resembles the old Kenner Ewok village."
It is gonna be a big one!

"Here's my custom Probe Droid. I made this prior to the updated Hasbro one so it was built off the POTF2 one. I used 2 of them. I needed to cut off two "eyes" from one and add those over to the primary. I added an LED light.
The trickiest part was adding articulation to the legs. I didn't bother with the short ones but I did on the others. Even the pistons work on those. THAT was a bit of a pain. LOL After I made this, the next year I think is when the newer version came out. Go figure.

"Finally took some pictures of my Dagobah dio. Only a couple years late. Now I have some equipment to make my pictures better. Still a learning process.
This is one of the first pictures I took using the microfogger3. Also I used a couple of RGB lights, they're full spectrum adjustable, for $20-30 each, but they're worth it. There are some that are $150 each, which I think is crazy."

"Hi All,
First build done for 2022 and hopefully many more to come.
1:18 scale German 88mm Gun.
Recipe.
Figures/88mm - the figures are from Joytoy and I glued the joints and then covered them with putty and then painted them using Vallejo Paints. The 88mm is from I Love Kit and was painted and weathered using Vallejo Paints and chalk pastels.
Base - is high density foam and is 17" L x 12" W and the small shed and wall were done by using high density foam and then using a pencil and drawing in the stone work and then a piece of sandstone was pressed into the stone work to give it a more realistic look.
The frame work inside the shed was done using balsa wood and the tiles are done using cardboard and the wooden ammo crates were made using balsa wood, the spent shells I are 3D resin printed which I got off the internet.
The ground work was done by mixing spakfilla, sand and mulched bark and then some Vallejo Chocolate Brown was mixed in to give it a more dirt look. The grass is grass tufts which I got from ebay and the small bushes are from Woodland Scenics as is the vines."

From all the pictures online, I can tell that the Hasbro Darth Nihl is a great figure. The only complaint I have is that they went with one of the other reference images for his hair. I decided to go with the hair he had in his first comic appearance, which I feel is much more menacing. The armor I based off of the second image."

Darth Maladi
Started with a Black Widow body and a Boss Fight Studios' blank head.
Her tattoos were significantly easier than Talon's and Wyrrlok's. The most challenging part was getting the right soft goods for her and getting them to sit naturally on the figure.

"The Satine pictured below is the first custom action figure of the character made by Customs for the Kid.
To make her, I used a resin printed head we purchased from Moff Glidden's Customs. To make the body, we used the torso, upper arms and thighs of a Clone Wars Assaj Ventress action figure with the forearms and boots of a Clone Wars Aayla Secura action figure. Once the parts were assembled, the sculpt was completely modified with a Dremel...
It took about 24 hours to bring her to life from start to finish so it wasn't a quick and easy project, but well worth the time invested to make it happen. We couldn't be happier with the final result."

And I start off my first post of this new year with a story about how Amazon is shipping the TVC Bad Batch Sets.
They actually just shipped this in a paper bag! No puffy envelope let alone a box. Duh!
