magnets and batteries?

 Would having rare earth magnets in close proximity to a battery/LED wires mess it up in any way? I don't think it would as long as the magnet isn't touching the battery or wires but I'm not 100% especially over long periods of time.

Magnetism and electricty are related so i dont see a problem.
