TCW Savage Opress (armored version) figure review

Savage Opress (armored version)
CW59
Description on the back:
Savage Opress is magically strengthened by the witches of Dathomir and trained by Count Dooku in lightsaber combat and the ways of the dark side. Dooku sends Opress on a mission to kidnap the king of Toydaria, but when the jedi intervene, Opress wields his double-bladed lightsaber with devastating results.

Savage Opress was first seen in the episode Monster from TCW season 3, but in Witches of the mist you see him with his armour.  This is the 2nd version of Savage Opress to be released as a figure. The 2nd version is better then the 1st version. In terms of accessories he comes with a double bladed lightsaber and a Battle axe with firing missile.
He also comes with a battle game card and a regular star wars stand.

In terms of articulation he has:
- ball jointed head
- ball hinged shoulders
- swival shoulder plates
- ball hinged ellbows
- swival wrists
- swival torso
- swival hips
- ball hinged knees
- and unfortunately no ankle articulation

His skin colour is darker yellows then the previous release of savage opress and is more accurate to the show.
The 1st savage opress had a gray pants under his soft tunic, but the 2nd version is more screen accurate and has black pants. The face sculpt is better then the 1st version aswell. The double blade lightsaber has some nice detail aswell.

In my opinion the best figure that we have seen since TCW.

I rate this figure a 5/5.

Thank you for watching, this was my very first star wars figure review here on the yards. So if I made some mistakes post it.
Please rate.

At a collectors shop near me. I called first and he said he just had the new cases and i asked inmediately to get me a savage from the case and lay it apart. Some hours after i came there and there was so much in the store!!! Everything new but also exclusives like concept art grievous. SO i also took captain rex and seripas.

I think you have a great future of reviewing if this was your first. It is now on the fp and will be in an IR Button here before too long.

Nice work.

Now you have a nice camera. Great close up work with the macro setting. Sometimes I think folks forget to use theirs.

If you have your computer there, it would be cool to see you use the ISY Front Page or forums with one of your action poses. I need to find a good pic to use for your review button.

The cardboard diorama inserts also make good backdrops for figure and vehicle pics (if the backdrop is big enough for the vehicle).

Still, great work on your first review.

I wish i could use that computer, but it is broken. I have a laptop now so i always go on my laptop. Maybe I can do some pictures in my next review with my laptop and ISY in the back.

Next review= Seripas!!!

great review! Armored Savage is one of the few figures from the recent waves i am still hunting down...I am pleased that you gave us a rundown of the articulation, and the close up pics were handy too!
