That guys is great!  :)
Only thing I might change is the fin in the middle of his chest...maybe on his back would be better.

Really like the paint application on your Aqua Trooper?  What do you use to apply your undercoat?  It looks awesome.

Love these last 2 customs! You are doing a great job with these cross overs! The parts mods are really great and love the paint work! Very well done.

You're so amazing!  I'm glad that the Blanx figures turned out to be so useful!
I have altered the action figure. Pray I don't alter it further.

Gosh, I'm getting old: I remember having this guy when I was a kid.  awesome work, by the way...your new version of the Centurions using those Blanx bodies is stellar!

I echo DD's question: what paint/color do you use for your apps and undercoats?

Light side, dark side...meh.  Just give me a lightsaber and a blaster and I'll take care of it!

@ Smeagol - I'm so glad you suggested the Blanx figures - I was a little uncertain when they arrived - but hacking them up was a ton of fun! I wish I had bought more now - I fancy doing a couple of Republi Comandos with them...Thanks again for showing me them!

@ LE - Thank you very much, I'm still learning about paintwork so from someone as experienced and skilled as yourself that's a great compliment!

@ DD & JM - I use Tamiya Colour Acrylic Matt spray cans for my undercoats - a number of very light coats, with drying time between. For Colo I used the TS-63 "Nato Black." For the actual painting I use a micture of Revell, Humbrol, Tamiya, Vallejo, Panzer Aces & Citadel acrylic paints. I alos use some Vallejo inks, AK Interactive "Winter Streaking Grime" wash and my favourite Mig Productions "Dark Wash"

and JM - I too loved the Centurions cartoon as a kid - it was a mixture of Darth Optimus's crossover figures and staring at my three original Kenner 6 inch Centurions that made me tackle these crossover figures myself!!

Thanks again guys

Ray

@ DO - rofl ok here you go mate!

And for those too young to remember them, here's my original Kenner figures that (Along with DO) inspired me to try this project...

Now I really enjoyed this project, it was a real piece of work learning to use a dremel and chopping up those Blanx figures. But I think the results are worth it, my Star Wars Centurions are some of the most original customs I've attempted since I started this hobby last year! I'm already considering buying some more Blanx figures and having a go at a Republic Commando or two.

I've also just ifnished my latest run of vintage restoration figures, so whilst I wait for more supplies I've decided to crack on with my Shadows Of The Empire project (and my first vehicle!) So here are the first shots of my Swoop Bike and Bandit...

The bike is slightly modded - I've removed the awful rocket firing wings and sculpted a pillon seat and added some saddle bags. I've also mounted a knife and holdout blaster pistol on the body of the bike.

The bandit uses parts from the original swoop trooper, a VTC Bespin Luke, Clint resin parts, the webbing from a Kashyyk trooper and an original Dash Rendar blaster pistol (I think that's it!!) both the bike and rider have been undercoated and hopefully I'll finish them this week!

Thanks for looking...

WB Out!!

The Centurions look great all displayed together. I bet you did learn your way around a dremel durring this project! The swoop rider is a great update for that older figure. I hope to update him someday too, your look quite cool!

Ray, I don't know how  you are finding time to sleep! I am just thoroughlly enjoying your customizing updates in all of your threads and I do agree with Spry that these Centurions looks nice (really thought that pose with the Blue One is sweet) and that new EU Swoop with Rider is turning out good too. Those saddlebags on that bike look spot on.

As usual, your new custom looks simply amazing, even in the early stages!

Love the group shot of the Centurians!

The Star Wars Centurions are awesome and that bandit and swoop bike look like they are going to be equally amazing! :)
