Guys thank you very much for the kind words - this must be the friendliest site on the web - and as someone just starting out in this hobby it's a great encouragement to carry on!

Here the parts testing pics for Redo Nimain, Captain of the freighter Solar Blade. Teeshan and he are 'adventurers for hire' who specialise in retrieving artefacts from the Old Sith Empire.

A chance encounter on Imperial Center throws them together with Ulic and his droid Honker. Little to they know that they have picked up a passenger who will lead them on some dangerous new adventures...

Redo is a work in progress - at this point I just wanted to ensure that the parts would all fit together! I've also used the Thrawn hands instead of the Bespin Luke ones, makes sense really!

Finally a group shot of my RPG adventurers - I'm still waiting for my GW paints to arrive so the only other work I've carried out is to add Ulic's saber hilt.

Once my bloody paints arrive I can crack on!  ;D  This custom figure building is addictive. I now have parts ordered to make four GI Joe based Colonial Marines from the Aliens RPG that I also run!!!!!!

I love seeing the progress of these figs!  As I said before, great concepts for characters...can't wait to see the final results!

Light side, dark side...meh.  Just give me a lightsaber and a blaster and I'll take care of it!

Wow Tamer - I don't know what to say other than 'thank you' !! That's a real compliment to a newcomer like me - especially with all the other amazing talent on display from the members here!

I shall redouble my efforts!

After finishing the first figure I decided to crack on with Teeshan Randa - my best friend's RPG character. I've painted the figure's head, added a metallic eye patch and repainted his hair. Only other update to this final look is the macrobinos on his pack.

I don't think I have the skill at the moment to do a full Bionic eye as I initially set out to do...  :-[

The reason I set out to make these figures? Well I liked the idea of having a large scale figure on the table during the RPG sessions so that my players can easily visualize their characters (we also use prepainted WOTC minis for combat.)

Then it all just became too much fun and I had to do more (hence my future GI Joe / Aliens USCMC grunts for my other RPG)

Here's Ulic and Teeshan together  :D

And one final update for today - This one's for Tamer as a thank you for his kind encouragement!! I've almost finished my Chiss Captain Redo Nimain. I'm just waiting to paint his neck area now and he will be complete...

I've repositioned his comms set and finished painting the vintage palace blaster and inked the comms wire. Not much left to do on him now  :)

I hope that I've managed to capture an OT feel with these guys - I'm looking forward to my next projects as the parts arrive (which reminds me I need to PM Clint !!!)

Cheers again
