Well, the Chiefs 2009 schedule has been made public and we are going to have our hands full as 3 of the first 4 games are against 2008 playoff teams.

at Baltimore 11-5 sept 13
Oakland          5-11 sept 20
at Philly         9-6-1 sept 27
ny giants       12-4 oct 4
all are noon games and kc doesnt have a single prime time game all season. In December, chiefs play 3 games in a row at home for the first time since 96

No easy break in period for GM Pioli or HC Todd Haley, I guess.

Yeah I saw the schedule had come out. They had the GM of Kansas City on the NFL network going over the new schedule. I am glad my Steelers seem to have a decent schedule. Ofcourse they had the hardest one last year and made good.

See the Pack is paying the Steelers a visit late this season,.  Gotta say I am a bit disapointed about the lack of the Packs pick ups in free agency this season, though that seems to be Ted Thompson's (GM) style. Now I am really looking forward to the draft.

Of course its also time to give some thought to fantasy football season again ;)

I didn't take a look at the full schedule Sarge, that match up will be fun. I am so ready for another round of fantasy football.

Veteran of 10 pro bowls, KC Chief TE Tony Gonzales was traded today to Atlanta for a second round draft pick.
I will hate to see him go. The chiefs just arn't going to be the same without him. At least we don't play Atlanta, that often.

Wow, I guess they thought he was getting a little old in the tooth. Man that guy is gonna help Atlanta get very close this season. He and Ryan are gonna be a tough combination. I am scratching my head a bit about this one. What does the general KC folk think about this Clint?

Draft day isn't far away folks.

They and I are, of course, poed about it. Some, tony G included, may have thought that this was a rebuilding year, what with a new owner and a new head coach, but I was thinking that we could do something special.
Tony is a gridiron warrior who had mentioned that he is wanting to go to the superbowl and had apparently made his decision and had skipped the last two team get togethers, possibly to inspire the chiefs decision.
That guy has some great hands and some serious speed.

Seems kinda sad to me. I would have thought Peoili or however you spell his name would have worked with him.

Well its Draft Day! I just turned on the tube to see who we are getting . I doubt if the Steelers have picket yet though. They usually don't do any wierd deals to move up in the draft. I see the first pick went to Stafford and good luck in Detroit. Still they have  a few decent names there now if they can get em to play as a team. I wonder how Calvin Johnson is feeling today knowing he has a few other recievers coming and perhaps a QB he can count on in the near future. I hope Stafford is ready to get his feet wet, I see them starting him right off the bat.

I can't wait till Fantasy Football starts again. Sarge you gonna do our league again I hope?

I just heard this on the news and I thought that the wife was going to hurl her coffee mug right at the TV. She is not a happy camper about this. Wasn't he traded to the Jets because they don't play the packers?
the Packers and Vikings are one of the Bigger rivalries out there.

You wanna talk about a week of shocking deaths here!  I was a pretty big fan of McNair because he always seemed to be such a tough player.  Injured more often than not, he played through many injuries.  I rooted for him when he was with Tennessee.  It's a shame.
