NFC retro review: 2-1B '07
« on: December 18, 2009, 02:45:29 AM »
Med droid 2-1B, is not the most exciting subject for a review but back in 2007 I had been waiting a long time to get a new one that was better than the crap POTF2 version.   When I was a kid I really really liked my classic 21B figure and finally in very late ’07 a worthy followup to that one finally came about nearish the end of the TAC line.   This one was in scale with the other figures thankfully and not a giant.  It was freally articulatd and had a ton more detail than the crappy POT2 Qnebee had.   I have critiques for the figure, it’s everything it needed to be, and it’s one that Hasbro nailed perfectly IMO.

Sweet, retro review. That has a nice ring to it. Perhaps one day we can have the review archives set up for a full retro section. Thanks NFC.

If people like the "retro reviews" I'll keep going with them.   Y'all want to read more?

Already photographed 4 other figures just in case...

of course you count!   :)   even if it's just you that wants to read these I'd keep going but really who doesn't want a big audience?   lol

I meant how many people besides us are in to this idea because others might have more figures in their collections therefore more specimens to pick from THEY might want to review someday......

Great review! I got this one on clearance cause I wasn't that excited by it, but once I got it I liked it more and more. Now it seems to be in the background of just about everything I do, lol.

The shop owner of my local store told me someone ordered about 100 of those to make his own story about a 2-1b planet with it's own local defense and all that. Hope I can see pictures of that soon

Retro-review - love it!  I think that's a worthy pursuit.

Personally, I don;t like the legs - particularly the feet - of this fig.  I actually never got one, but I've recently decided I should.  I think I'll overdose on them like I did the FX-6 and FX-7 droids.  After all - customizing is easy...
