POTF Ships
« on: June 16, 2008, 04:11:18 AM »
Ofcourse my favorite is the new atat that was made in this line probably following by the electronic FX Xwing my daughter currently stole off me. I am eagerly trying to pursue acquiring a minty boxed potf slave one as that one looked good to imo. What are your favorite ships in this line?

Well since I don't collect ships, don't really have afavorite, but I would have to say the ATAT has a special place in my heart.

I have a lot of love for many of the vehicles in this line, but it's difficult to pick a favorite. Most of the vehicles in this line used vintage molds but improved upon them immeasurably. The new paint apps. made those vintage molds look fantastic and the electronics actually had authentic sound fx for the first time. Electronics we did not see much of after this line ended until this year.

Also adding to the difficulty of picking a favorite is the fact that many of my favorites of the POTF2 vehicles have since been completely redone. Like the X-wing, TIE fighter, and Millenium Falcon.

Prior to the BMF I would probably have said the Falcon but now I will say the EFX X-wing, because it is an awesomr mold that is still used today.

The T-16 Skyhopper and Darth Vader's TIE x1 get honorable mentions from me.

I have not as of yet gotten one of those bigger x-wings, and am currently kicking my self because of it.

They are pretty awesome, even without the electronics. As a matter of fact I don't even have the EFX version. I snagged the first Dagobah version from the Saga '04 line and love it. I want to get the Red leader version and the 2006 release so I can customize a couple for Wedge and Biggs.

I bought a custom electronic FX Xwing that was done with Biggs and I like it. My little girl plays with this ship almost exclusively.  The sounds are cool, but are starting to get a little broken now that she is playing with it. I also am thinking about super glueing the laser cannons on as mine have a tendency to drop off. Still, it is a cool ship and I do like it too. I am hoping to get a Slave I and a Outrider in this line if I can ever find em momc and they don't want a ton of money.

My personal fav is definately the FX X-wing! Just because I think it is the coolest and most in-scale version we got... :)

Hey Slider, welcome. Yes, I do like this Xwing. I want to get a boxed version eventually, as soon as I can find some space to display it. I have told myself that any new stuff will be out and displayed or I am not getting it!
