I'm not sure if my own build collection is at the right place in this part of the forum, but I dear to try.
When my 4 year old son asked me for some Star Wars toys, I was stunned about the prices. Therefor I started building stuff my self.
All the following toys are made out of wood. Total costprice: € 20.00 and there is still a lot of materials left to build some more...

Well now this is just an awesome thing. Love the Jabba's Palace Dio and that AT-ST. Off to share on our front page.
Welcome to ISY!
-
Wow! Thank you for the compliments!
After seeing al the great stuff posted on here I thought that my creations were not even getting close to all the great and realistic custom stuff!
-
Very cool. I like that AT-ST and i hope you have a AT-AT in the works
-
Hahaha, the little boy is pushing me very, very hard to make a AT-AT but that one will take some time...
For now I'm building a X-34 landspeeder... and unfortunately my evenings are almost all full for the next two weeks :(
-
An AT-AT would be fantastic. I am enjoying this a good bit.
Had to get that AT-ST on the front page. I can't wait to see what you make next. I think you have to be in the running for Dad of the Year.
-
The build that I finised today.
Not movie accurate... Still my son loves it!

Wow this is awesome. Honestly, one of the coolest custom projects I've seen posted on any site. It's like mini-Minecraft Star Wars figures...
The best part though is that you made these for your son, and he enjoys them. Nothing beats that.

Thank you for the compliments!
It is true, seeing my son play with these toys, makes al the work worth it more than what ever could.
-
Landspeeder to the front page. I agree these are just fantastic. I love the SW meets Minecraft description.
-
VERY CREATIVE!!!
-
These are really cool! I hope you don't mind me saying it, but they are just so adorably cute.

Not at all! They are build for my four year old son, so they may be cute :)

I would have loved these when I was little. Great job all around and that AT-AT and 'ST are awesome.

I would love to own that AT-AT and AT-ST now! They look to be so sturdy too. Congrats on really knocking the ball out of the park on that AT-AT!

I’m still not sure witch big project I will do next, so yesterday I have limited the #Buildingtoysformyson to some figures.
From the right to the left:
a Quermian, a hologram communicator, a couple Stromtroopers, a Muun and finaly (Don’t ban me from this forum for this one) Senator Jar Jar Binks.

I like even Jar Jar and that is saying something. Off to share.
Make sure you watch a portion of the latest episode of CAFN as I featured some of your work in our latest podcast. I am really enjoying your work.

Oeps... sorry for asking, but what is CAFN?
-
LOL. We have a video podcast here focusing on Customizing and a bit of collecting we call Custom Action Figure News. The new one is at the top of the front page now and on our Facebook and Youtube Channel.
I am hoping perhaps we can get you to agree to come on for at least part of an episode if you are game sometime.
-
Ah! Watching the Youtube video right now!
... and me coming on? Oef, I'm not sure on that one!
-
these are awesome! haha. so fun looking and for your son so its a great thing all around. im sure when hes older he will look back on this as a pretty amazing thing you did for him :) cant beat that!
k,im off to bed! Jar Jar is overly hated i think. im convinced its ''just a thing'' people say that so much yet dont feel that way entirely. i dont mind him really... cheers!

In the Phantom Menace I thought he is pretty annoying. But when he became a senator and made it happen that Palpatine got his wanted position, I came back on my vision for a little bit... still he remains an annoying character in the Phantom Menace!

right, thats true, i guess people do thing hes annoying regardless. i really dont mind him that much. he is annoying and funny but thats the way hes suppose to be. the comic relief of the first one/aimed at kids. maybe aimed at kids a little too much or something. ah well. when hes a senator hes really not in the movie at all so thats prob why u dont mind him a bit. ;) i really didnt think he had anything to do with palpatine getting his position but he did have a small speech didnt he? i never really thought much of it i guess. go jar jar! haha

I have watched the show! Thank you so much for the positive comments! When I see my son playing with these toys is my biggest reward, but when fellow StarWars fans also comment on them so positive as you guys do, it is pretty rewarding to! Thank you!
-
You are quite welcome. One of my biggest joys in the hobby is finding neat new custom SW Stuff and showcasing it. I kinda feel like I am giving back to the hobby I enjoy.
Anyhew, I am hoping perhaps we can have an episode of CAFN that is totally centered on your work. Your son could even talk about how he likes his SW Toys! And you could perhaps show us a bit about your process about how you go designing, making the parts, and then putting one of these together. And then there is your whole painting process. This could easily make an hour show. If you would like too though. No pressure, some folks just don't want to be on camera and I can understand that too.
-
You're asking me a hard thing!
I guess I'm a person that does not like being on a camera, but I will think about it. The biggest problem will be my English.
It is not my native language and my son absolutly doesn't speak English at all!
I will think about it okay? I will come back to you.
-
i saw you were from overseas but i did think your english in terms of writing ''typing'' is quite good. their are a lot of people i've come across on the net and they are far worse. your typing is prob just as good or better then people that speak english as their first language.
if your shy to be on camera be one of those weirdos that just uses some image as their pic when they talk. haha :) naah, thats even weirder actually. im jk with ya but it is odd when ive seen people do that. haha
-
No worries. If nothing else I can continue to spotlight your work on our customizing segment. I will also note that we have had foreign customizer interviews before and lack of great english isn't a drawback at all. The focus is the work and I don't care what language you speak, your work is awesome! And please, don't let this be something to bother you, I meant it as the highest compliment.

Some new characters I made this weekend

-
That is beyond impressive. I can't get over how cool these are!!!!!

Beside this forum there are several other people that are interested in My #Buildingtoysformyson project. One of them asked me why I don't have a blog or something like that, where I show all the stuff I've build.
I thought that was a good idea... so this time I did not build something whit wood, but with digital building blocks ;)
The blog can be found here: http://gewooneenchris.wix.com/buildingtoysformyson
At the right side of the home page I've created a block where I would like to place some reactions on my project. Hemble was so kind to provide me with premission to use one of his reactions. I would really like if some of you could give me a reaction/quote that I could use for that space on my blog.
-
Consider this a big ole yes for me (comments). You can use one I have already given till I come up with something a little bit better thought out!
