Imperialshipyards.net was born on September 23rd, 2007 as primarily a social experiment. Three guys who had met at other sites got together, and jokingly talked about designing their own website, compiling several key elements from several popular websites. After a little discussion, some investigation, and a little luck, Imperialshipyards.net was born. While the site's owners had very little know-how in site design or the techniques required to create and run such a venture, perseverance won, and here we are underway! The site's owners were tired of how several sites were seemingly overrun with attitudes, flaming, and a general disdain for fellow members. Why can't someone log online to a website, and enjoy the hobby of collecting as they see fit, not as others think they should? Webster's Dictionary defines a hobby as a pursuit outside one's regular occupation engaged in especially for relaxation. Too many people have forgotten that, and our mission here is to restore that feeling. We want people of all walks of life to feel they can come here to ISY.net and enjoy the hobby in any capacity as they see fit. So with that said, Welcome to The Imperial Shipyards, where we strive to excel!
