Darth C reporting in from Hoth Country on the Star Wars Exhibit at the Science Museum of Minnesota. We got to the doors at 8:30 A.M. this morning and were greeted by Anakin Skywalker, Jango Fett, R2-D2 and a nasty Tusken Raider. We went through the doors at the opening bell, went into the exhibit hall and were amazed to see all the costumes, props, and models from the films. During the time we were there numerous Stormtroopers, Jedi's, an X-Wing Pilot, and Biker Scout were working the floor for photo ops with the attendees. We managed to get a picture with a Stormtrooper. It would have been better to go during the week, since a Saturday morning was pretty busy with children, so I let them have their time getting the photos. Some items that I found quite interesting were the Milliumenm Falcon, by its sheer size. It seemed like it was around 5 feet across. Of course I had to take a picture with my mentor Darth Vader; that was the costume used in Star Wars. Also made sure Barb (my wife and boss) took a picture of the an AT-AT that was used in The Empire Strikes Back for Tamer. They also had a nice display of weapons used in the various films. I would have liked to hold one, but such was not the case. After leaving the exhibit area we had our pictures taken: I was Vader with a couple of his legion clone troopers during the attack on the Jedi Temple and Barb was Padme' during the area battle on Geonosis. We then went on the Jump to Hyperspace ride. It was nararated by Anthony Daniels. It was an ok ride. Here are the photos that were taken during our visit.
