Mandalore25 is back with an update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, September 30 2014
"I know it's been a while, and I'm sorry I don't have anything more glamorous to show off, I've just been swamped working 6 days in a row. More importantly though, this figure is technically my first shot at sculpting. I never intended it to become a finished figure, I was just testing how well the clay would bond with the figure, but is looked kind of cool." I think it turned out pretty cool too. You can go bid on it at the evil bay if you want to add it to your custom collection!

John Caliber shares Chapter 5 of Brain of the Ark!
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, September 30 2014
Its another action packed episode as Chewbacca seems to get himself into ever more trouble. I must say I am really enjoying the playability I am seeing in all of his sets too. Great imagery coupled with great story line just equals fun period.

Ron Hembling creates another POTA Diorama...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, September 30 2014
"The thing I remember the most about POTA was seeing the gorilla's on horse back for the first time so I decided to do one on horse back in a relaxed pose but being vigilant. Gorilla Soldier & Horse - is from NECA and he has had he's joints superglued then puttied up and then given a complete repaint, again I paid particluar attention to the face and eyes and gave him an open mouth by cutting his mouth open and then using AVES Fixit sculpt to sculpt the teeth. I also repainted the body and gave the outfit some subtle washes and drybrushing to bring out the details." Trust me this is just a portion of the full recipe and this is really stunning when you view the larger image sizes.

Bronxstalker checks back in with an update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, September 30 2014
He has updated his custom figures thread with a work in progress Darth Scion and a completed Deadpool. I must say they both look stellar. Looking forward to see that completed Scion too.

EE is having a Star Wars Daily Deal...

Wow, there are some great savings on some awesome Star Wars Attakus Statues at Entertainment Earth today. Remember though, this is kind of like the glass slipper as these deals end at midnight. Click here to the full information and product details.

-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, September 29 2014
Well I just found out about this myself, but it looks like Think Geek.com is having a one day only sale on select Star Wars Merchandise. You can save up to 20% off, but act now as at midnight this is over! The picture above pretty much speaks for itself.

Amazon listing the 6 inch Storm Trooper for a good price...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, September 29 2014
It is so nice to see this surefire army builder coming down to reasonable levels in regard to price. I saw this on my Facebook Quick Travels this morning and had to post it here before I left for work. Remember free shipping on orders over $35 too so you may as well order two!

Halnarthax87 is back with an update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, September 29 2014
"Remember my big bad Trandoshan? I made him better. Apart from the obvious armor, flamethrower, and the like, I made his feet more Trandoshan and gave him those little feathery things ala Clone Wars." Wow, now that is one Trandoshan to give you nightmares! Fantastic!

I-am-Boba-Fett is back with a new custom...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, September 29 2014
"Here is a custom KADAS'SA NIKTO SAIL BARGE GUARD. All paint work by me. The holster and pouch on his belt are cast pieces made by me. I fixed his vibrostaff accessory to be more rigid than the flimsy way it was made by hasbro." Just another great custom figure from IABF!

Sjefke is back with a female Wookie Project...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, September 29 2014
"Hello Yarders! Usually, I don't show my WIPs until I have a finished project, but I've made an exception. The custom has no character in canon nor EU. I was inspired by a few sketches of female Wookiees that I saw a few years ago and thought how neat a custom that would that be." His sculpt work is really kicked up a few notches for this one.

Spuda Fett is back with some new six inch custom accessories...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, September 29 2014
He really did a nice job with his 6 inch Jango Fett and is now back with some fantastic custom accessories including the great gauntlet weapons you see above. I would also be remiss if I didn't comment on his great looking rocket pack too.

Darth Sinister presents a different point of view...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, September 29 2014
"Howdy Yarders! Got another batch of old Virtual Customs to look at. These were done for the Prequels. They are early looks at the re-imagined PT I've been doing recently so you may see some familiar faces. No character profiles or back stories this time. I'm letting the images speak for themselves." There are also some great Cardbacks for the old western movie with John Wayne called Searchers that just look fantastic too.

Its Episode 31 of the Realm Recap...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, September 29 2014
Jayson and FlyGuy are back again with another great new podcast with news from our hobby. "This week picks up where we left off last show with more news regarding the Walgreens Prototype Boba Fett and its future distribution, plus we touch on our latest toyguide additions and reviews. Also, we discuss the new preorders from Gentle Giant and Sideshow and a surprise exclusive heading to Barnes & Noble from Kotobukiya. We close things out with our thoughts on new spy photos from the Episode VII set as well has rumors of The Clone Wars getting new life soon. All of this and more on this birthday hangover edition of The Realm Recap."

The Series is here, have you ordered the figures yet?
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, September 28 2014
I just watched the opening movie this weekend (see my first impressions of the series) and I wanted to make sure everyone knows my go to place for these figures. Dorkside Toys will treat you right when it comes to pricing and you can rest assured these will show up to your front door in mint condition. Don't forget to see their full Star Wars Section and make sure to tell em the Tamer sent you!

The Clone Wars lives on!
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, September 28 2014
I thought this was a really cool update from SW.com on how The Clone Wars has really continued in various forms from comics to novels to environment updates, etc. Its kinda sad to see how much footage is left over and how close we were to many more episodes. Who knows maybe one day Filoni will get the green light to add more to this?

Kualan previews the next chapter of Tales From The Clone Wars!
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, September 28 2014
This is definitely one of my favorite photo novels. We have a brand new bad guy that even Mace Windu himself has a hard time dealing with and plenty of Sith intrique to keep you hooked. Take a look at that cover and tell me it doesn't have you seriously curious!

Krash Override is back with an update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, September 28 2014
"My latest project has been testing my sculpting skills. After three failed attempts I was able to get a Lego Jack Skelington to somewhat resemble the character. Here he is pre-cast, I'm hoping the clay will hold the detail." Looks great to me. I really love the imagination that KO always exudes with his work.

Sideshow Collectibles announces Sixth Scale Geonosis Droids Offer!

Care to read my first impressions on Star Wars REBELS?
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, September 27 2014
I promise, this is a mostly spoiler free review (just talked about some characters we saw) of our brand new Star Wars show on TV! Daggone, but it was good to see that Star Wars Logo and hear that wonderful music hit the screen again. Now, I won't promise you I liked everything that was shown in the opening movie (Spark of Rebellion) I watched on Watch Disney XD Go last night, but overall from the sheer fact it is just new Star Wars material period to great character development to wonderful new ships and vehicles that seem to have an OT feel I am one happy AT-AT Driver. Well, I will be when we get to see one of those in a new episode cause you know its coming!

REBELS premiers on Watch Disney XD Go online!

While I am waiting for my daughter to return home from her travels I thought I had better post this for all the Yarders to enjoy. Click that graphic above to watch the REBELS movie online before it premiers on Disney XD next Friday!

Do you have any questions for Hasbro?
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, September 26 2014
It is time yet again for the Twas The Night Before Party referring to Hasbro's Presentation that happens the night before NYCC opens! Our roving reporter Dan "The Spectre" Kosa has taken on the task yet again of taking all of our questions directly to the Big H as he attends the event. We got some great answers regarding the six inch series this past SDCC so I am eager to see what new nuggets the fine questioners here at the Yards can glean out of the Hasbro Brand Team. Remember, we only get a few minutes with Hasbro so please be clear and concise. Click here to input your burning questions for Hasbro!

Doc Outlands gives us a box update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, September 26 2014
"Functional Iconic Boxes are HERE! This is a shot of the first few pulls made today from the new molds." He really has quite a few interesting variations on that iconic box too from an ammo crate to now these double versions!

Commander Kurgan is back with a new ARC...
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, September 26 2014
"ARC Alpha-44 Hunter is basically a TVC Clone Lieutenant which I upgraded with a pauldron and a kama to ARC Trooper. A rangefinder was added to the helmet and a working holster to the kama. Again, I shortened the ARC Rifle to carbine length and re-attached the sling. The head was donated by a comic pack Commander Faie." Does he have the knack of making great Clones or what!

Dobiwan has a message for Walgreens...
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, September 26 2014
"This is about how frustrated I am with all the talk about Walgreens & their Star Wars exclusives!" He says, don't worry he'll be back! I got a good kick out of this. Its like they say, when life gives you lemons make lemonade.

Happy Birthday Mark Hamill!
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, September 26 2014
Well I am one day late (still pretty consistent), but we would like to wish our favorite Taun Taun Rider a very happy birthday. Sideshow has created a pretty cool page with 10 Fascinating Facts about Mark. I didn't know a few of em myself!

And its time to vote for our Birthday Custom Challenge!
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, September 25 2014
The participation in the idea thread alone was spot on fantastic, but I am really excited to see what choice out of all of the great ideas is the theme for our BDay Challenge. Prizes are being accumulated and this really looks to be one of our best Birthday Celebrations yet. Matter of fact I have to seen a special thank you to our Sideshow Gal for once again stepping up with a great grand prize (details coming soon) for this and an E-Store (Beyond Mortality Toys) that is not even a sponsor yet for donating prizes. So far it looks like Spry's Ultimate Idea is the front runner, but its still a long way till Sunday till this is over!

Hot Toys Han and Chewie are already up for pre-order!
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, September 25 2014
You can get em as a set with some exclusive options or singly. I must say I think both the Han Solo and Chewbacca are solid options for the first product entries by Hot Toys for their Star Wars license. Incredibly detailed, these Sixth Scale Figures could sure be the centerpiece of any collection. Let em know the Tamer sent you!

Luke Sprywalker has a new samurai for us!
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, September 25 2014
"I have looked over countless reference photos and done some reading. Then went in with that influence and my creative instincts and went for an authentic look. I wanted each figure to have subtle differences in the armor such as different legs or arms or feet. Making the helmets is what really go me addicted. There are a few helmets on my bench without bodies and there are still full figures left to be painted. I have really enjoyed this project and it seens to be bringing a lot of change to my display area. That being said here is my next update, Hasakura. This one was made for a project called GI Joe Reloaded. It was started by Ice Cream Man Customs on facebook and involves many artist that make Joes." This new one looks phenomenal to me folks!

MAXX Replicas shares a video for Rebel Briefing...
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, September 25 2014
Hands down one of the coolest things I have seen lately in his video display screen showing a portion of the Death Star Briefing the Rebel Pilots had before the Battle of Yavin. Click here to see his Custom Thread Posting too.

Bronxstalker shows a fix to the Blanx Alpha...
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, September 25 2014
He was having some height issues with the Blanx Alpha and has found a fix! "So, this is how I'm getting around the Alpha's short stature. I cut between the lower leg, inserted a styrene tube, and sculpted around it. Now, the alpha is about as tall as a pretty tall joe, and slightly taller than your standard SW figure. I'm gonna have fun with these Alphas."

John Caliber shares Chapter 4 of Brain of the Ark!
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, September 25 2014
We get to see the rest of the chapter as Chewie gets himself into a bit of trouble. I must say I am really enjoying this feature every few days. I love the photo-novels and know they take a long time to put together in terms of customs, dios, and then there is the image work, but I just hate waiting for a new chapter!

Peakob1 adds to his box project...
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, September 25 2014
"Here comes another one for the box project more on the way very soon!" You have got to like the sound of that. I must say Chad is sure keeping The Clone Wars alive for the rest of us. I am wondering if he will get into REBELS as much as he did TCW.

My Kind of Scum is back with an update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, September 25 2014
"Haven't updated here in too long... Here is a batch of work created for the current Yakfinities merchants challenge - some merchants and the spacers that visit their bazaar. I hope you like the photos!" Our friends at Yakface always have some cool customs things happening too!

Its Kotobukiya again for another Most Wanted Collectibles Update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, September 24 2014
I don't know how anyone who has gotten their hands on any Kotobukiya Merchandise can't just rave about the quality for the price. This week I am back to Bishoujo with the great new Batwoman Statue. She is sure to please any Bishoujo Fan on your gift list this year!

I would also highly recommend delving into the rest of the Kotobukiya Items at MWC as there are just a ton of great deals happening now. I know I am partial to the Star Wars Items, but you can't really go wrong with any of the lines they follow!

There is just a ton of other stuff though. I could browse all day!

Mandalore25 finishes his Trandoshan Jedi...
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, September 24 2014
I am so used to these aliens being characterized by their evil affiliations that I forgot how cool they look as Jedis. "This is the finished product of my earlier post about sculpting. It's my first attempt at sculpting on a figure and I worked hard to keep the articulation of the base figure, along with minute details like the scale textured skin. I liked the experience and am thinking of taking on some more ambitious sculpting projects." I like the sound of that. Don't forget to check this one out on eBay and add him to your collection!

I-am-Boba-Fett is back with a new custom...
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, September 24 2014
"Here is a custom Abyssin Warrior that I made. A One of a kind figure. He features custom sculpted top knot, mutton chops, shoulder and forearm armor, hands, feet, and a custom made spear. Jrny Fan shows us a great Maintenance Balcony!
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, September 23 2014
"Here's the prototype of my next piece - "Maintenance Balcony." This is rough around the edges - the final edition should print a bit better. There's a protruding piece that you can attach the Hasbro Vader 2002 gantry piece (that slices in two) onto. There's also a foot peg made just for characters who may be fathers. It's 10 separate pieces that fit together. Hope to have this diorama part up for sale on the online store by next weekend." Uh, Wow!

I-am-Boba-Fett is back with an update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, September 23 2014
"Made this custom figure a good while back but just now remembered to post her. Here she is, this is a Female Zabrak Sith seen in the Star Wars Legacy comic books. Her name is DARTH SAULA and she is one of Darth Krayt's sith. I had one reference picture to go off of when making this figure. She features a custom exclusive cast head and cast torso molded and cast from the original sculpts I did. I sculpted her custom lightsaber hilts too. She is fully poseable and went home to a good customer of mine who commissioned her." Now that has to be one happy customer. Also, make sure you scroll around when you hit that link as I am at least one custom figure behind in my posting!

Mr. Jedi 1977 is back...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, September 23 2014
"Hello gang Time for another ot update! Ok finished up the rest of Jabba's goons from docking bay 94 ,so we start with Boelo ,took me three tries on the hat before i was satisfied The next is Davelyn Schmee according to the Decipher card game i believe, I sculpted the hair used some super sculpy to give him a bigger belly. Next I got the saga 5poa stormtrooper and fitted the head on a sand trooper what a difference i left the original helmet in for reference . Next is Shasa teil then we have the Sail Barge gunner that Leia hit in rotj the hat does have real material i used but a nightmare trimming it down. Back soon with more ot goodness." Now that is one nice update!

Candy Blues shares a great scratch build...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, September 23 2014
"Ive got alot of my projects (all various stages) in ziplock bags. Only really because i was living in a tiny little studio. I've been really wanting to do a 6" figure based what has become one of my favorite characters. I've really been fighting the urge to throw this out on the net just because this is my first real custom." I can't wait to see the finished work that will become Darth Plageuis.

Leatheryman shows us his Bespin Dio...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, September 23 2014
"OK, my first ever diorama. One shot only. I took this nearly 2 years ago and have not done anything else since.. getting my mojo back, maybe posting this will help. I cheated with the C-3PX eyes obviously and edited out the folds in the cardboard backdrop, which you may recognize from the latest Cloud Car hasbro offered us in 2010. The premise of what is going on isn't really explained and honestly I just wanted to show off my Old Republic Troopers and the Jedi Speeder. The TVC cloud car pilots have had their forearms shortened and one is "de-stached". In my mind the TOR troopers are security personnel from Empress Theta, a world similar to Coruscant (and not too far away) that still uses much of the traditional Old Republic hardware, tech and design. Perhaps C-3PX has been recruited by them (against their better judgement) to help detain a felon on Bespin... The plot thickens." I like dios with a story!

Peakob1 adds to his box project...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, September 22 2014
"Hey folks hope all is going well wanted to drop another character from "The Box Project" that i'm working on.
If your unsure what that is or you don't know a lot about clone wars the animated series, The box was an episode from the clone wars that pitted 13 of the baddest bounty hunters in the galaxy against one another in a game of death, and i'm going to be making twelve of them since Embo has already been made." I am really enjoying his custom series.

Ron Hembling finishes his latest Planet Of The Apes Diorama...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, September 22 2014
"This dio depicts Commander Hunter Hembling being the only survivor after his space craft crashed landed in the outer rims of the forbidden zone. After a few days travelling he comes across a dirt road and then suddenly he is fired apon, he looks where the shots had come from and to his surprise he see's Gorillas brandishing weapons. Hembling flees for the forest and takes refuge waist deep in a muddy river bed where he sits and waits with his pistol at the ready and hopefully the Gorillas will completely miss him. He waits in the muddy river for over an hour and he thinks they have missed him then suddenly he hears foot steps and he knows that a Gorilla is just above him and he realizes that he is still being HUNTED." The full recipe for this is amazing!

Spuda Fett is back with a new six inch custom...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, September 22 2014
"Finished. For those keeping score at home, here is a list of modifications from the original boba:

Trimmed off thigh pockets and shin pockets/tools
Removed belt and cut apart pouches, creating entirely new belt out of faux leather
Total repaint
Added 4 new "hoses", 2 for each gauntlet
Sculpted new shin armor and filled in holes from removing thigh pockets
Filled in dent in helmet and cape hole
added styrene armor to thighs, using a lighter to heat up styrene and shape it to fit
used same technique to add boot armor
scratch built 2 blasters
re-built jetpack using original as base. "

Wow, his Jango Fett is pretty daggone nice!

Mandalore25 is back with an update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, September 22 2014
"I've been wanting to make a custom female Mandalorian for quite some time, and a while back a Chinese seller was selling Isabet Reau figures with no accessories pretty cheep so I got one and waited until I had the pieces to make this one. The purple is entirely done in sharpie, and as I said before it can be sticky and shiny but a clear coat will take care of that." I agree that it looks pretty nice!

John Caliber shares Chapter 3 of Brain of the Ark!
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, September 22 2014
I am getting to really look forward to his Monday and Thursday new chapters of his graphic fiction. I must say it looks like Chewbacca has gotten himself into a tight spot for this story!

Robo-Rex was made from a DC ParaDemon and a 1996 Movie Godilla Figure (which doesn't count for Godzilla IMO) lots of Aves Sculpting for bony Protrusions anda Spawn anime Gator for the tail." I like the sound of this new verse, make sure you hit the aforementioned link to see the full description.

Tonphanan is back with a custom update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, September 21 2014
"Light armor merchant with Jawa assistant." Works for me. I think we need as many of these types of background characters as we can get. Can't you just see this sitting in some type of Tatooine or Mos Eisley Diorama?

Primitive Todd is back with a customs update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, September 21 2014
"Here are a few images of a slightly modified and painted AT-RT and driver. The AT-RT has a new front cannon and I also added a custom new sensor/jamming array onto the back. The pilot I see as a variant of a scout trooper (it actually is a Hoth snow scout body) but wearing grey coveralls like an AT-ST driver or Imperial Army trooper. The maintenance droid is also a custom paint job." I like the look of all of this!

MAXX Replicas is finshing his ILM Dioramas...
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, September 21 2014
"Here are some pics of the (one of two) new "making of" diorama (maybe in the future I will do a repaint on the truck." I don't know what he is saying about the truck as it looks great to me. You just have to shake your head in amazement when you see this.

Its on Friday at 9!
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, September 21 2014
I don't know about you folks, but this has seemed liked the longest wait for an official premier of a new Star Wars Series that I can ever remember. I feel like I know all the main characters backwards and forwards already and just want to get this started!

Mr. Black finishes his Quinlan Vos...
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, September 20 2014
Now that new banner is just fantastic too! That little teaser will no doubt be followed up with a full image gallery of what sure looks to be one of the nicest versions of this character I have ever seen!

Commander Kurgan is back with a new ARC...
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, September 20 2014
"ARC Alpha-42 Striker: Based on the LegacySeries ARC Trooper figure, this bad boy was given the kama of a blue Sharpshooter Trooper onto which I attached a dremelled down holster off a ROC Paris Pursuit Storm Shadow. The headsculpt is off a Saga Commander Cody (which I think is the nicest Clone headsculpt so far). The ARC Rifle has been shortened to carbine length. With an assortment of weapons, maybe a rapelling cable and a Captain Rex pauldron added, this could be made into an accessory-packed, fully playable figure in notime." Now thats a great description!

KRZTFR shows us some great wip pics of a Old Republic Speeder Bike!

Bronxstalker is back with a six inch custom update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, September 20 2014
"Before I start the weekend, I figured I'd drop a few images of my latest custom. This is my rendition of a 6" Lady Deadpool, using an Electra base body, some sculpt, wire tubbing, soft goods, fodder, etc. She was fully painted black and the rest was straight up dry brushing." Now, I would say that is an awesome way to start the weekend!

Disney's Star Wars Commander just looks fun!

Remember, this one is gonna last two months so we want it to be a bit more involved than just one custom figure. And thanks to those who have posted great ideas already!

BL4CK5H33P gives us an Acid Rain Update:
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, September 19 2014
"Since they have yet to produce a female fig for this toyline, I made my own. ACID RAIN WORLD : 823rd Advanced Expeditionary Forces - Mountain Ops female sniper." This looks perfect from what I remember from the line. I really like the look of their mechs and vehicles they make for this line too.

The Spectre adds to his Dalek Customs...
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, September 19 2014

John Caliber shares Chapter 2 of Brain of the Ark...
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, September 18 2014
As you can see above the action is heating up and we see there are some runaway reeks which only further heats things up, so to speak, in Chapter 2 of Brain of the Ark. I am thoroughly enjoying this great new story!

MAXX Replicas shows us his video display screen...
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, September 18 2014
We were all blown away by his latest Rebel Briefing Diorama which included a video screen briefing of the Death Star Trench Run as we see from the actual movie. We were all wondering how he did that and it seems ole MR is working on a kind of video display plaque that you can upload your own video!

Mandalore25 shows us magic sculpt...
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, September 18 2014
"So as I said in my previous post, I got my first batch of clay to sculpt with and love it! I use Magic Sculpt and have already found many uses for it. Like here on one of the figures I'm working on (I'm to ADD to only work on one at a time), I sculpted the hands and forearm, but it's kind of bulky... Managed to get the scale texture though, and where the head is one I bought cheep because it's defective, I put some clay inside and moved the ball joint's full range of motion to make the perfect fit for the body when it dried." Well there are quite a few good uses for this magic sculpt is seems!

Darth Daddy shows us his neck peg fix...
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, September 18 2014
He created a fantastic looking Doallyn using the new Brock Starsher Figure coupled with a Bane Malar body. I asked Darth Daddy for a short video on that if he had the time and he showed us this picture. "I do however have a photo illustrating exactly where I made the slice I popped the head onto." So you can now know exactly where to make your cut to make your own version of Doallyn. Thanks Brian!

Its a Masters of the Universe Most Wanted Collectibles Update!
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, September 17 2014
I must say I really, really liked MOTU when I was a kid. About the only action figure collection I cared about as much as Star Wars was MOTU. I can remember ole Trap Jaw being one of my favorite villians. This new Masters of the Universe 1/4 Scale Trapjaw Statue looks fantastic!

Most Wanted Collectibles has some other great MOTU Items while you are perusing the Trapjaw Statue too. I could see that He-Man and Beast Man Statue complementing this one nicely. By The Power of Greyskull!

Help us decide the focus for our Birthday Bash Custom Challenge this year!
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, September 17 2014
It is time to gear up for our annual Birthday Bash as it is time to celebrate one more year on the web and this year we decided to make it special by running a poll of your ideas for the custom challenge. Now this one is gonna run two months so we want it to be more involved than just one custom figure and we want the focus to be wide open so please try not to narrow it to one time frame or skill set (say sculpting for example), but we want to get all the ideas together this week and then vote em next and get started!

ST Juggernaut amazes once again!
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, September 17 2014
"Jor-El W/ Kelex: This has taken me a few months to make, and several months since its inception. I originally tasked Glassman Customs with shrinking the Mattel movie masters Jor-El head for me, after a month or two, that was done and I started work on my Jor El 2.0. Its been possibly my most complex sculpt next to my Dredd 2012 and Marvel Select Winter Soldier customs. I've really enjoyed making this custom and its kind of strange that he is finally finished after having him production for so long. For those that pay attention to detail, you may notice that Jor-El sports a fully sculpted mole on his left cheek for authenticity purposes haha. The cape is removable and is attached via neodynium magnet, as are the shoulder pads." Talk about some gorgeous sculpt work on this!

Custom Jedi is back!
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, September 17 2014
"I finally found the time to finish this droid. I'm so glad to get him out of the "to-do" pile and worked in to a diorama." It was good to see how this one turned out. The lines painted on this one seem so precise!

Darth Daddy is back with an update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, September 17 2014
"The custom action figure for the character of Sergeant Doallyn took less than one minute to make. I just sliced the neck ball joint off of the Bane Malar figure and popped the head of the new Black Series Brock Starsher (Jabba's Skiff Guard #27) onto the Bane Malar body. I bought the Bane Malar as soon as I found out Brock Starsher was being released. It was a great way to add to Jabba's Denizens. Expect this custom to show up heavy in the forums by a variety of customizers. Lot's of people have plans to make this one." I can see why as it looks great!

BL4CK5H33P is back with a JOE/COBRA Update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, September 17 2014
"COBRA Arctic Ops Snow Serpent Officer/Sniper: BBI Elite Forces torso on modded Star Wars Firespeeder pilot hips/legs, Galactic Marine boots, Joe DG Duke feet, Joe Steel Brigade arms/hands, Joe Alley Viper head with BBI helmet, mixed gear, BBI rifle & fur from Jabba henchman added to wrist cuffs, boot tops, codpiece & shoulders." There is also a pretty nice looking Outback to peruse too.

Mandalore25 is back with some Sith...
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, September 17 2014
"This one's interesting, I was working on this Sith Sorcerer for a while now, and saw the other figure at Big Lots and thought "wouldn't that make a cool sithspawn?" I also happened to get my first shipment of clay that same day to start sculpting, I'll show how that is going later, but with it could easily make spines for him. Hope you guys like the idea too!" Matter of fact if you really like these two they can be yours at this link.

MAXX Replicas finishes his Mission Briefing Diorama...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, September 16 2014
"Here my latest Star Wars EP IV Mini-Diorama (weekend project): YAVIN 4 - MISSION BRIEFING. The videoplayer shows the original attack-simulation animation which was used in the movie. A Youtube Video is coming soon." Wow, wow, Wow! While we wait for that video make sure you go in and enjoy his image update at the aforementioned link.

John Caliber shares Chapter 1 of Brain of the Ark...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, September 16 2014
"Hello there. Hope you enjoy this seven-episode story which will be published twice weekly on Mondays and Thursdays." Sounds like a plan to me. I am already looking forward to more episodes! Enjoy Chapter 1 of his great graphic fiction.

Mr. Black goes really small on us with this update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, September 16 2014
"Before I forget, I received my teenie weenie tiny magnets and used two of them for Alpha's range finder. Each magnet measures 1 x 0.5mm." Wow, now that is small! Wow do they work great for that range finder though!

Darth Sinister presents a different point of view...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, September 16 2014
"Continuing with the "Old Stuff" series, this next group was an experiment in the 'what if' for the action figure world. What if there was a company out there that gave us a 3-3/4" Retro TV line. This was something I'd love to see hanging on the pegs. So here is my 3-3/4" version of The Six Million Dollar Man. I did several characters and gave them a slight up-date with clothing and gadgets. They also would sport a GI Joe type of articulated body for some great action poses." What a cool idea. I remember that TV Show as a kid!

Wardog introduces Realism meets Plastic...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, September 16 2014
"Over the next few weeks (or how ever long) I plan on doing do some shot my plastic men in my back and front yard. We've had very unseasonal rains here so everything is overgrown (much to my wife's annoyance) and perfect for doing outdoors photography stuff." Enjoy The Solitude of Master Yoda. WD has the perfect environment to do this doesn't he!

Starchaser is back with an update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, September 16 2014
"Here's a couple of more involved customs: Krysa “Jack” Besalt – late teens; slicer; her dad and brother are in prison in the Corporate Sector for their slicing work; mother is dead, so effectively she's an orphan; she's quite vengeful toward CorSec. She gets liberated from a Corporate Sector Security detail by Yubookoo (the Wookie) and becomes a part of his team." More await after you click.

Halnarthax87 is back with an update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, September 15 2014
"Pardon the title. I cobbled together a more realistic Rex, complete with jet pack. He and Ahsoka will take on the galaxy together after the Clone Wars... after Ahsoka sings her personal rendition of Let it Go. No seriously I think that song is rather befitting her departure from the Order..." LOL! Thanks for giving me my morning chuckle! Great custom.

Mandalore25 is back with an update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, September 15 2014
"My Latest Figure is this Sith Assassin I listed today. It's the first time I tried like a mummy wrap around the head and neck. They're wrapped separately of course so no movement is restricted, and I managed to keep the head shape. I like that this is a figure represents how keeping scraps and thinking of how to use pieces for other than what they are can turn out great, like the eye slit is just scrap of plastic from a helmet I cut up, the armor pieces on the boots were holsters I cut off another figures sculpt, and the armor on the arms are pieces of a hat I cut up." Lots of work on this one folks and the soft goods looks great.

BlackThorne is back with a diorama update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, September 15 2014
"Too much time passed since I build one last dio, but this one is very special to me. I was inspired by one of my favorite games. The orc was a repaint of an old chapmei figure. The Kyle Blackthorne is a custom I bought from UKKO many years ago." Looks great to me. Wow!

Peakob1 adds to his box project...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, September 15 2014
What can I say other than his The Clone Wars Customs are off the charts awesome! His latest Rako Hardeen: The Marksman of Concord Dawn is fantastic. Full image update can be found in our forums.

Luke Sprywalker is back!
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, September 15 2014
Man has he sure been missed! "Oh boy, what a year life has dealt me. Sorry for my dropping off the face of the earth guys, I have really missed this place. Many things have changed for me and it has greatly effected my time and energy level at the end of the day. Long story short I have not dropped out of the hobby, just no free time to post wip updates on the very small amount of customizing I have been able to do. So I finally had some time to snap a few photos of a project I have been working on all year but in numerous small steps." Well it is great to see you back and don't forget to see his full custom samurai update!

And for those of us who ordered the Walgreens Fett online?
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, September 15 2014
Well after seeing so many find these in stores I talked with a customer service representative about my online order. At first they said none of these were going to be shipped as it was decided to now be a store only item and that they would cancel my order. Well I said no to that real quick and asked why in the world would we be allowed to order them online if they weren't going to sell at least some of them there. I got transferred to someone else who then clarified that my online order would be fulfilled, but not until November 15th after their run in brick and mortar stores. So, kinda good news, but a long wait!

Jrny Fan sends in an update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, September 15 2014
"I'll get on with the Senate playset soon. I'm having too good a time making individual items from across the saga at the moment. Added these to the online store; Computer Console Version 2, Commander desk and chair set, and Spaceship Doorway (available with removable door upgrade)." I am really enjoying his products. I just got my vehicle maintenance energizer last week and it is really nice.

Commander Kurgan is back with a new custom...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, September 15 2014
"A buddy traded me this Black Series Biker Scout at our local action figure roundtable yesterday evening, so I finally could finish my Scout Sniper of the Imperial Special Forces Brigade. Again, it is mainly a no-paint kitbash with the pistol holster transferred from the Scouts right ankle to the right hip and an added backpack from an EVO (?) Trooper." That backpack really looks great on the Scout!

Plus, we discuss the reveal of some old Clone Wars and Original Trilogy vehicle Value Packs shipping back to stores. MAXX Replicas updates us on his ILM Diorama...

"David Berry's Pickup Truck with a mounted Mitchell Vistavion camera on the loading area (Richard Edlund is behind the camera)." His Behind the Scenes Industrial Light and Magic Diorama seems heavy on the magic part. It is hard to tell what is the reference image and what is the actual diorama! I can but shake my head in amazement.

Ron Hembling is back with a new POTA Diorama...
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, September 14 2014
Ron is sure on a Planet of the Apes kick as who can blame him getting excited about the excellent NECA Figures (which he kicks up a few notches with better paint apps). "Here is another POTA WIP dio but this time the figures joints will be superglued and puttied up and the kids don't have a say in this one. This dio will be called HUNTED and will depict a Expanded Universe scenario where the astronaut is on the run from the apes and will be between POTA and BTPOTA." All I can say is get ready for another fun project from Hemble Creations!

Walgreens Fett is back online!
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, September 13 2014
For those who may have missed it online the first time back in July it is now back with the add to card feature. I still haven't received my order I placed back in July, but it looks like they are gonna make enough of these that we can all get at least one! I am sure envious of those folks who have a Walgreens Store close as I sure don't!

John Caliber gives us a Brain Of The Ark Preview...
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, September 12 2014
"Brain of the Ark is a seven-part story starring Chewbacca and Nien Nunb, set approximately two years after Return of the Jedi. Episodes will be posted twice weekly, on Mondays and Thursdays. Below is a promo photo and the first three panels from Episode One. The third panel is featured because I wasn't happy with it and am completely reworking, so I thought you may be interested in viewing it and then contrasting with the replacement photo uploaded on Monday." It is great to see quality graphic fiction and I can't wait to see this new series unfold.

Wardog creates an Apocalyptic Diorama...
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, September 12 2014
Photobucket was giving him a rough time, but he went back to it and has posted awesome images of a 1:64 Scale War of the Worlds style Apocalyptic Diorama. "Hi all. Just thought I'd share these pics of my latest non-SW dio. I'm a HUGE Post Apocalyptic fan...Mad Max, Life After People, Book Of Eli, The Road, The Stand etc etc etc. This dio is a mix of a few things from films and TV series that I like. I added a bit of greenery to show the passage of time and that mother nature is slowly creeping back. I went for an "Alien Invasion" theme with this one." I think it looks great.

"This is Daricus Brotuus. Daricus Brotuus is a bounty hunter in the Outer Rim. His theory being that many bounties from all over the galaxy find their way to the Outer Rim. Beware, he does have a bad attitude but his word is good when it comes to business. He rewards his sources and suppliers when a bounty is completed, knowing that they will make sure that he gets whatever he asks for or else." This one sounds tough, but fair. I also think this is the last one we need to feature before we do the random prize drawing!

Mandalore25 starts an artwork thread...
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, September 11 2014
"I've carved out my own era of Star Wars I like to draw from that takes place around 2000 a.b.y. where a new Sith regime is taking power by relearning the ancient Sith magics and combining them with technology. I'd love to make it all cannon someday since I've been working with it since I was 13 (so for me 6 1/2 years). I don't know if that'll happen, but I'll keep writing and drawing so that maybe someday..." Trust me you are gonna like the artwork!

Bronxstalker finishes his Alpha...
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, September 11 2014
"Thanks everyone. I always tend to put myself down when it comes to sculpting and painting, so to hear positive feedback picks me up. Mando, with my next Alpha, that's exactly what I'm going to do, I'm going to make him taller. Anyway, here he goes. He was a pain to paint due to the size, but all in all, even due I still need to learn to tighten my sculpting, I think he came out pretty good." I couldn't agree more!

BDC41866 gives Big Padawan's Customs an update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, September 11 2014

I-am-Boba-Fett is back with a new custom...
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, September 11 2014
"Made this awhile back, here is a custom Black Series 6 inch tall TOBBI DALA, a Mandalorian seen in the Star Wars comic books. This ONE OF A KIND custom figure has an interchangeable head and helmet. He has a magnetically attached/removable commlink that magnetizes strongly to his right ear. I sculpted this commlink. Changed his belt area and moved his pouches. Filled in the dent on the helmet to differentiate my Tobbi Dala from the Boba Fett 6 inch figure. All paint work including the symbol on his right shoulder by me." Looks like a great six inch custom to me. I mean can you really have enough Mandos? I think not! Matter of fact that link will take you to another link if you would like to own this one.

Wardog shows us his stash of plastic stuff!
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, September 11 2014

There's a few customs thrown into the mix as well." I am sure enjoying these first images. I think he is creating some great dio stuff too!

I review Custom Star Wars Inspired Space Trees!
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, September 10 2014
Along with a Facebook Image Gallery of this wonderful new product created by Twelfth Parsec though his Indiegogo Campaign I have created a quick review video for this. Most folks know me as an TESB Collector and I don't even own any Ewoks, but wow o wow was this one of the coolest dioramas/play-sets that I have ever seen. Each piece was just beautifully crafted and I am just extremely pleased with the overall quality of this. Stay tuned for a more formal review later.

Mandalore25 is back with an update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, September 10 2014
"Listed two figures today, this one being more simplistic than the other, thought the button I made to hold the cape and Rahm Kota style strap to hold his lightsaber was a cool way to make it removable. Can't believe I forgot to paint the neck though... Simple yet still better than anything Hasbro's produced star wars wise since Darth Plagueis (maybe that's an opinion ;D), hope others like it too." I know I do! That link will get you to the page where you can find out how to own this one!

Halnarthax87 presents Agent Kallus and the Muttonchops of Doom...
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, September 10 2014
"It appears we're going to have our share of goofy incompetent imperial officers on Rebels. And I wouldn't have it any other way. I am glad however we get a few more intimidating and serious Imperial bad guys like Kallus to balance the equation. From what I've seen and heard, he's going to be a pretty intense villain. I thought I'd make a version of him... that crazy gun of his was tricky. I also improved upon my Inquisitor. Enjoy." I know I sure did!

Part 2 of Spuda Fett's video on his 6" Custom AT-RT!

If you haven't yet seen this great scratch build then you need to stop reading right now and click this link. Devin really has a vehicle to be proud of and what most of us wouldn't give to see more vehicles like this in the six inch scale. If Hasbro won't give em to us its great customizers like Devin who will always step up!

Mandalore25 shows us a great Bounty Hunter...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, September 9 2014
"I think he's pretty cool with removable jetpack and removable lightsaber hilts on his belt from jedi he's killed. One of my best. I'm actually going to sell him soon, I sell customs to pay for the customizing hobby, and to provide what Hasbro won't. Hope you guys like it." Well I think it looks great and really hope you show us more. Welcome to ISY!

We welcome Jaya to the custom boards!
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, September 9 2014
"Hi everyone. Custom some that I just finished. A sith lord (inquisitor who could find a place in TOR), a bounty hunter, Commander Gregor (Clone Wars), and a Bientôt." I am really liking some of his Clones. Stop by and say hello and let him know what you think about the first customs shown.

Bronxstalker shows some awesome sculpting...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, September 9 2014
"Almost ready to be painted. I need just need to redo his left bicep band (make it wider to match the one on the right) and add his left wrist band. Other than that, and some sanding to smooth things out, I should be pretty close to doing a full paint job. (not including possible accessories after the paint job)." He is taking a Blanx Alpha and really turning it into something stellar.

Jetpack Blues is already at work on a new one...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, September 9 2014
"So, immediately started Wikus works. I plan on doing at least the different versions of Wikus but I started with the transformation version. I was almost happy to call this guy done but now that I look at his picks I need to redo the face. The "stubble" looks terrible. Need to find a better way to do it." I think he is being a bit hard on himself, but if you have any ideas be sure to let him know!

Camo is back with new artwork...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, September 9 2014

Its episode 29 of the Realm Recap!
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, September 9 2014
"This week's episode of The Realm Recap focuses heavily on the Black Series 6" line as the first wave of the new "black and blue" line look has been hitting Walgreens stores hard (except mine of course). We also look at an amazing 6" scale AT-ST work-in-progress that must be seen to be believed. We also discuss the merits of the new Rebels "Mystery" set that was revealed this week and the new products hitting the Disney Store and much more." Jayson and FlyGuy always keep us updated on the issues that are important to collectors and custmizers!

-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, September 8 2014
"Here is my official entry into this contest. This is JARIAH SYN, a bounty hunter seen in the Star Wars Legacy comics. I sculpted his hair, necklace, belt and holster, left forearm armor, and his boots armor." Looks pretty good to me. Sad to say the entry phase of this is over. I am now showcasing the entries as we are counting down to select the random winner!

Spuda Fett finishes his epic 6" AT-RT Build...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, September 8 2014
"Finished! With the added layers of spray paint in the joints I am able to get a much sturdier range of poses out of the figure. With a total of 9 points of articulation in the legs, and an additional 2 points in the chin gun, this is a nicely articulated final piece. I also took an extra step to add an LED light to the chin gun, the batteries for which are hidden behind one of the armor siding pieces. Check it out for yourself." I have really enjoyed Devin's build.

John Caliber shares Chapter 3 of Heralds of Destiny!

Jetpack Blues finishes his Elysium Custom...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, September 8 2014
I am never sure if I am spelling that right and probably aren't now that I look back at it. "For all practical purposes I'm calling Kruger done. Time to start some Wikas Van De Merwe customs." Sounds like a plan to me. I also normally don't use the back of a figure for the update pic, but the detail was so great I couldn't resist.

Darth Sinister presents a different point of view...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, September 8 2014
"This will be the last of the "ROTJ" series. These are all I made for this bunch. Here's a look at the coveted Gammorean Guard. This was a fun re-construct I did to make the creature a little less familiar looking."

Darth Daddy is back with a TCW Update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, September 8 2014
"This latest post is showing how a quick repaint of some Clone Wars Death Watch Mandalorian Warriors that came with the Mandalorian Speeder from Hasbro's mini-rig line can offer up some pretty cool looking Maul Mandos." I sure miss the mini-rig line up myself. I keep hoping we will hear of some deluxes or new mini-rigs, but I can't even find a hint of one yet from Hasbro. Still, we can all take a look at DD's Customs and wish.

Hanzo the Razor gets his Bounty Hunter on for the latest custom challenge...
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, September 7 2014
"This clone trooper tried to defend his Jedi Master when Order 66 came down. He was gun downed by his clone brothers without hesitation, and left for dead. He awoke weeks later with to find that he had been "saved". Now over 60% of his body is cybernetic. He barely remembers anything of his past, all he knows is betrayal, and a strong hatred for the new empire. His name is AMUR, and he'll accept any bounty that will hurt the Empire, or get him close enough to hurt them any way he can." I really like the story on this one! I hope you got your entry in as that portion of the challenge is now over. Stay tuned as we feature the rest of the entries and get ready to announce the random winner!

KRZTFR warns us the Walkers are coming...
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, September 7 2014
Now that is my type of warning! "Starting to play with the paint and design trying for a worn paint "in battle" look, the blue around the red "eye" is just for placement not final..." He has also started work on a three and three quarter version of a TIE Walker created by Camo Deafie!

Spuda Fett updates us on his six inch AT-RT build...
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, September 7 2014
I have really been enjoying his 6" Custom Build of an AT-RT totally from scratch. "the leg articulation works well enough. it's hard to get it to stay solid in every pose, but most hold up ok. I'm thinking that when I spray paint this it will add some strength to the joints as well. and tomorrow I paint..." I can only wonder how grand the final product will look. Bravo Devin!

BL4CK5H33P is back!
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, September 7 2014
"Been a while since y'all have seen any finished work from me, so here's a double shot figure & vehicle. Here is the Corporate Sector Authority - Corellian Security Officer with Interceptor Speeder." Well it was great to see him update his customs thread with this new addition. I really like the color scheme on this and that speeder bike is pretty daggone rad.

Jrny Fan adds new item to his Diorama Store!

Don't forget to give his Diorama Store a look see and tell him the Tamer sent ya!

Ron Hembling completes his second Planet Of The Apes Diorama...
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, September 7 2014
"I wanted to make another POTA dio and this time round I used the NECA Gorilla and had him in a scene depicting him coming down into the subway where Brent and Nova first came down. Again my two kids asked me not to cover the joints like the usual statue type diorama's that I usually do, I painted the base and figure using Vallejo and GW paints and pastels." It sure does look pretty spot on to me.

Kelcken gets his Bounty Hunter on for our latest custom challenge...
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, September 6 2014
"Wow, these are looking insanely good! I've been out of town for a few weeks, but I'm glad I got back in time to work a figure in! In The Old Republic, most bounty hunters work for the Empire, but I envisioned one who chooses to work for the Republic instead." I think he looks pretty daggone tough myself as a bounty hunter should. Folks, today is the last day to get your own bounty hunter on for the entry phase of the custom challenge. Click here to read the full details and don't let this turn into a glass slipper!

Mr. Black making SW Themed Posters from other Movie Posters...
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, September 6 2014
I know that topic might not be a bit clear, but it sure will be when you click into his latest post. "Made this in photoshop this morning. I've got a few more ideas like this, but I'm not sure when I'll make those. So for now, I'll just post it in this thread, instead of creating a graphic art thread." I know I realized it looked spot on to one of the movie posters I had seen from Twenty Years a Slave before I even scrolled down.

Dobiwan goes Ape on us!
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, September 6 2014
I know! I know! I just couldn't resist when I saw his new Deadpool Ape. "I know it's not Star Wars but I had seen the Deadpool Ape on a comic & had to make one." And folks, yes we love Star Wars, but we also love customs from any line be it DC, Marvel, JOE, MOTU, Transformers, etc. You post it and I will highlight it!

Jetpack Blues is back with a customs update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, September 6 2014
"So, was looking at some customs that never made it through the preliminary phase and decided to work at finishing one or two. I've been putting some work the last few days into a Kruger from the movie Elysuim custom I started a ways back but quit on because I was unhappy with the vest I created. Now, I'm well aware if I planned out customs instead of making things up as I go along I may not run into issues like this, but I ams who I ams. That said I figured out ways to make it work for me. He's not done but he's a lot better than he was. Here's his progress." I like the look myself!

Another Quality Control issue for Hasbro!
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, September 6 2014
I am starting to sound like a broken message this morning aren't I? Well from six inch Scout Troopers with no eyes to this latest Command Series Figure with no hand it seems something is seriously lacking. Don't worry, we will make sure our site reporter will have these images in hand when we talk with the Hasbro Brand Team in October and for Toy Fair! And thanks to Marco who shared this on our Facebook Page. Keep em coming folks and I will file em all up to show as examples for what we mean by quality control!

Mr. Black showcases a Hasbro Quality Control Issue...
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, September 6 2014
"Received my five 6" STs from Dorksidetoys today. Another flawless transaction. However, Hasbro's lack of QC reared its ugly head again. And I'm not talking about a paint issue here. It's not a missing foot either, but observe closely." Wow, who at the Hasbro Factory is actually checking these before they are packaged?

Starfall adds a mini-rig to his custom verse...
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, September 6 2014
"I'm excited to be able to share this mini-rig with you! This is the XeniTrans Mantis. The Mantis is one of the most popular and commonly used personal transportation vehicles in the star cluster. Let Mantis move you to what matters." He has given us a great range of images of this ship docked to it loaded up and flying. It also looks like we will see various versions of this ship due to its interchangeability.

Noboomboomsoulbrother gets his Bounty Hunter on for our latest challenge...
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, September 5 2014
"Here is my entry for the Custom Contest. This is a bounty hunter who used to be a Separatist mercenary and ex-Deathwatch member. I've included the ship he uses. I guess it's really Rohlan Dyre with some minor alterations, but I really just love that sculpt too much to mess with it. The second knife and front part of the assault rifle is from a GI Joe "Trooper" figure from the "Retaliation" series, and the carbine is a Battledroid E-5 blaster with a stock from Bossk's grenade launcher. His Mandalorian Ripper pistol is made of the rear grip of a Naboo Officer's Model S-5 blaster and front end of Bom Vimdin's rifle." I think he looks pretty awesome. Matter of fact I also think this one would be an excellent base for the bounty hunter than went after the Firefly Gang if anyone remembers that show (I miss it!). Click here to see the full details as this latest challenge is just about over!

John Caliber shares his great graphic fiction!
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, September 5 2014
I came across this on Facebook the other day and promptly invited John to our forums to showcase this great photo-novel. "Star Wars Toyscapes was created primarily using Star Wars toys, other toy lines when necessary, Photoshop and Indesign. I'm pumping out a lot of material this year and next, leading up to Star Wars Episode VII. I hope my efforts entertain you, and ideas for future plot 'hooks' are always welcome." Well I can definitely say this is a great way to spend part of your day and I can't wait to see what he shows us next! Please enjoy his first series titled, Star Wars: Herald of Destiny."

Koth is back with an update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, September 5 2014
"Gethir Magan is a ruthless trader who trades in slaves and information. He is very successful and is always protected by his Aqualish guards. Magan has a good line of burly fighters and female attendants/entertainers. A bounty was once put on his head but was swiftly paid off by Magan himself, or did something happen to the placer of the bounty? He is known to the Empire..." These were all part of the latest custom Merchant's Challenge being run by our buds at Yakface.com.

Ron Hembling starts on a new Planet of the Apes Diorama...
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, September 5 2014
"Here is another POTA WIP dio, this one depicts the apes heading down into the subway to search for any enemies. The base is foam core with plasticard simulating the tiles which were superglued to the foam and the also made from foamcore. Once dry I used plaster cloth to build up the stone and then used plaster cloth on the stairs." The aforementioned link will get you to the full description and full image gallery of all the awesome work in progress photos. Ron really does amaze every time.

Spuda Fett continues his 6 inch AT-RT build...
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, September 5 2014
"Here's what I've done today to widen and detail the legs, what do you guys think? It's hard to see the details with the white and black parts... especially with the flash on (sorry about that). With the weekend on its way I'll have more time to devote to finishing these details." Well I think it looks fantastic and makes me wish there was some way to mass produce this Walker. We really need some vehicles for the six inch line!

Darth Optimus is back with an update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, September 5 2014
"Finished up my 90s-era inspired Bishop over Labor Day weekend. Here ya go! Lucas Bishop, the time-travelling X-Man, in his classic blue 'n' gold Xavier Security Enforcer (XSE) uniform. Equipped with two future-tech plasma blasters, standard sidearm and combat knife." Looks pretty good to me!

Rancho Obi-Wan to host 2014 Gala...
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, September 4 2014
"The annual Rancho Obi-Wan Gala (Sept. 20th) is our main fundraising event of the year, something nearly every nonprofit organization needs to be able to continue its mandate-in our case Inspiring Through the Force of Imagination. And thanks to generous donors, our auctions at the event include amazing original Star Wars art, vintage items, sculptures and more from around the world.

The items will be available to in-person guests and to registered absentee bidders in silent and live auctions. (Absentee bidders will get specific instructions after they make their donations, but basically they'll be able to enter their high bid for any item; a "proxy" will bid on their behalf so any winning bid will be just one increment above a live bid-like a "snipe" bid on eBay.)

View the auction items and get information on attending
the event or registering as an absentee bidder." We wish them the best of luck with their event!

Spuda Fett starts work on a 6" AT-RT...
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, September 3 2014
"Sometimes I have an idea and I sit on it for literally YEARS before actually executing it in a way that is satisfying. A long time ago I attempted to scratch build an AT-PT in 1:18th scale using lego parts and styrene. The thing came out as to be expected, after all it was only my 2nd scratch built vehicle. The idea I've been sitting on for years however is the way I constructed the legs. Using lego technic ball joints for the articulation. Using the ball joints (cut up and re-worked) from the hero factory dragon I've started building a 6" scale At-Rt... here's what I've got so far." Hey Hasbro, take notes on this please folks want vehicles to go with their six inch action figures!

"Found the Walgreens Boba today! Also picked up Vader and Chewie. Vader isn't too bad, just need to paint his eyes. Chewie is awesome but he is always in Wookie rage mode!" Ah, the more I hear about that Vader the more I shake my head, but good for Tom finding some of the new six inch goodies. Click here to post your own new finds.

Starchaser gets his Bounty Hunter on for our latest custom challenge...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, September 2 2014
"I've put together a bounty hunter team created by Kathy Tyers for Star Wars Adventure Journal and included in Tales of the Bounty Hunters. The team is a red-headed human female, Tinian I'att, whose family were armorers and were killed by Imperials. She gets connected to a Wookie, Chenlambec, a reputed bounty hunter called the Raging Wookie. Chenlambec is a rare silver-tip Wookie." They look great to me. Don't forget this is the last week to get your own bounty hunter on for the challenge. Full details can be found here.

Jrny Fan is back with a 3D Printing Update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, September 2 2014
"Still refining a bit, but here's the completed prototype. Hope to have this Vehicle Repair and Charging Station up for sale on the store later this week. Pipes are flexible, but have wire in them so they can be posed however. The pipes seem to fit nicely into figures' hands. The ring the pipes attach to rotates. The top lid pops off and offers storage area for guns/tools." Wow, if that isn't just another cool success on the ole 3D!

"Here is a 6" custom Boba Fett I put together today. He's got some boots from the Guardians of the Galaxy Drax figure. I also turned his side cape into a skirt more or less. Still contemplating painting him totally different or just leaving him as is. What do you guys think?" Well I think those boots are ftw and seeing a Mando will double take knives is a win win all around.

Happy Labor Day from ISY and Custom Action Figure News...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, September 1 2014
I figured what better way to say Happy Labor Day than to showcase the Latest Episode 74 of Custom Action Figure News. This time Chad and I are back to catch up on the latest news and nuggets from the world wide web. Of course we highlighted some current customs that caught our eye, the current collecting and Star Wars News of the week, and see if there are any products or sales that are getting a bit of our notice. And don't forget about What's on the Pegs! It got a bitch glitchy on us twice, but those have been edited out and thank you for your patience if you were watching live. Happy Labor Day folks! Celebrate safely! And get into more CAFN Episodes on the ISY CAFN Page.

Jetpack Blues gets his bounty hunter on for our latest challenge...

"Think we wild just call this the final version. Really just a hack job. Been too busy with other things to get work done with customs but I had a some time this evening to just knock out this guy." Well maybe JPB needs to hack more often as I am liking that look of the new bucket modeled after what I am assuming are the new Episode 7 Storm Troopers. Don't forget this custom challenge is winding down and you have until next Saturday to get your Bounty Hunter created and posted. Read the full details here.

ST Juggernaut is back!

"Wonder Woman - Batman V. Superman: Dawn Of Justice: My latest addition to my custom DC cinematic universe has been a long time coming. As soon as they announced Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman I've been putting the pieces together, waiting for the first picture so I can start making the custom. Well this past comic con they showed the first image and it was fantastic. I immediately started work on her and have just finished her up. The figure features a removable harness which is attached via a series of neodymium magnets. The lasso of truth she carries on her right his is also attached via magnet, with one embedded in her hip and her skirt covering it up." Folks this is just awe inspiring and spot on with the image I remember seeing from SDCC. The full recipe is included as well.

MAXX Replicas updates us on his ILM Diorama...

Starchaser is back with an update...

"OryZen Fallo, a freighter pilot. Originally he was going to be my attempt at a more realistic Lepi (Jaxxons species) but someone else suggested he looked like a Squib (squirrel type species). So I decided he would have had a Squib father and a Lepi mother." There is also a pretty cool Beta Ray Bill looking like an Endor Rebel Soldier too.

Starfall is back with a new character for his verse...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, September 1 2014
"Now we're heading back to the Altarus Star Cluster for more Starfall. This time I present to you the captain of The Dreamer's Burden, Aahtra Fyuriss, an Obozhian warrior turned Star-Cavalry officer." Talk about fun, I would love to see a comic, book, or movie based on all these cool characters!

Krash Override is back with an update...

"I was contacted by a friend on IG who saw Neca's "Spy" from the Team Fortress Two video game line.
She asked if I could possibly make a Dapper Dear out of the Body. I wasn't really sure how it was going to come out, but half way thorught the process he began to grow on me. Now that the Dapper Deer is finished, I must admit that I am a little sad to see him go." KO has sure created some awesome animal human hybrids in his customizing career so far. Good stuff.
