"Hi All,
Imperial Jungle Trooper completed.
Note - I did take pics of the base being done but can't find the pics anywhere, if I do find them I will add them with the work I did to it.
Recipe.
Trooper - is the SOLO Patrol trooper from Hasbro's BS 6" line and I removed the thighs and added armour thighs from a Hasbro BS 6" Storm trooper. The gatling laser gun his from a NECA Terminator figure and I also added a radio to his left side and attached the wire to his left comms ear piece as Jungle troopers need more radio boost due to the dense jungle and the figure and gun were painted and weathered using Vallejo paints.
Base - is high density foam cut and sanded to shape and the rocks are plaster molds from Woodland Scenics. The soil is a mix of spakfilla and sand and once dry a undergrowth mix of lichen moss, bark, static grass, sand, dirt and this sticks were applied.
Once the undergrowth mix was dry I then painted it with Vallejo's Chocolate Brown and the fern looking plants and the tall leafy plants are plastic fish tank plants that have been given a light wash of medium green. The dead log on the ground and in the water are pieces of tree and the grass tufts and foliage clumps are from MiniNatur and the water was done using a two part resin with a tiny drop of Tan Earth to give it the light brown look.

Folks he does a fantastic job giving this to you step by step from products to use to how to use them to showing you how to do the mold to the casting. It is also full of images to show you what he means by the directions. It is one of the best tutorials I have read in ages.

"I did a little clever tweaking with Fordo. Pleased with the results of giving my own spin on the phase II armor appearance. This time around, I did some modding to his belt/holsters and the wrist piece, which now features an electro dart component. I will soon equip him with a Westar ARC trooper blaster rifle as his main weapon."

"Wars are won by logistics. I had to go to WM anyway, so I picked up a few more. I found some mini lip gloss containers that are shaped like soda cans. I grabbed them, maybe they would work for some kind of gas can.
Here's the basic layout of the Stormtrooper diorama. I think I will make a stone floor, maybe some plastoid/durasteel plates. I'm debating on making a wall on the E-WEB side, or just keep the diorama open."
I was hoping he would start a dio after he outfitted up his Vintage RO Stormtroopers. Man it already looks great with those custom crates. Speaking of those lip gloss containers, take a look at what he did with them.

I recently was of the opinion that the cardboard displays or playsets were probably more of a nuisance and hindrance than really adding to our hobby, but recent posts on the Solo Playset have me rethinking my view.
That and a post by Darth More on these cardboard sets that looks just phenomenal. I mean what a way to display your action figures and ships!

He found these small plastic boxes at Wal-Mart and man with a little paint and creativity he has really spruced these up. Fodder is always in such a small supply nowadays in our dios and this is one way to really spruce em up!
"I decided to glue the two big boxes together. I just took the lids off and glued the open sides together. Then I added decals, dry brush and a black wash. Pretty cool for little dollar boxes."

"I went to Walmart, and in the stationary section, they had these little boxes. I started painting them, and I think they would make cool Imperial cargo crates. What's cool is, you can put weapons and accessories in them to use in the diorama or display."
They look right at home in his dioramas. I especially like the Imperial one.

"Hi All,
Damn it's been awhile since I have done any SW figures or dios and this is a Imperial Trooper with a gatling laser which will be a jungle setting.
The figure is a Imperial Patrol trooper from Hasbro and I removed his thighs and replaced them with Hasbro's Storm trooper thighs.
The gatling gun is from NECA's Terminator figure and the base so far is high density foam and the rocks are plaster casts from molds from Woodland Scenics.

"Hi All,
Fallout T-45 Power Armour dio completed.
The dio depicts a BOS (Brotherhood of Steel) soldier taking a break after finding a nice stash of items.
Recipe - The armour is from Funko and I pulled it apart and repositioned the arms and legs and then super glued them back on. I instead of using putty I used a mix of PVA glue 30% and Plasticine 70% and applied it to the joints, I use this on my military models as it's a cheaper way of filling gaps etc especially for static figure diorama's.
The mix once dry is pliable and shrinks and stretches with the heat and cold which is great especially for high humidity area's like where I live.
I used plastic card, electrical cable and 1/72 scale military parts for the greeblies and the hands I used a set of Gundam hands as they look the part for the armour.
The laser rifle came with the figure and the head is from DAMTOYS German officer figure and I removed the officers cap and added the PVA glue and Plasticine mix to the top of the head and then used this pleather to make the head cover.
Base - is thick high density foam cut and sanded to shape and the porch and steps were made using balsa wood. The ground work is a mix of sand, PVA glue and spakfilla and applied and the foliage is from MiniNatur.
The Vault Tech lunch box, Blast Radius board game, Insta Mash, Abraxo Cleaner, Guns & Bullets, Nuka Cola caps and the Boston Bugle are all paper printables that you can get of the net and print for free.

The base figure is VC Luke Crait, with forearms from Dr. Evazan. I swapped out feet with Rose Tico for height. Custom torso, soft goods, belt, buckle, and pouches."

"I pretty much rounded out the rest of the Squad. First is Sergeant "Rollo". He is equipped with a white paulderon, long-range communication backpack, comlink and an RT-97C blaster.
With him is TK-0220, "OTTO". He is a Grenadier, equipped with thermal detonators, missile launcher, and E-11, with holster.
Next is Corporal "raze". He is equipped with a black paulderon, backpack and either a DLT-19, or an E-WEB, depending on the mission.
His assistant TK-9393 "GeGe", helps with maintaining the machine gun, or offers cover fire while the gun is in the cooling phase. His position is #2.
The rest of the Squad are standard Stormtroopers, equipped with E-11s, and some accessories, including grappling hooks, computers, thermal detonators, etc. I hope to build a diorama of the Squad in action, fairly soon."

He's equipped with a backpack, patrol droid, commander pauldron, macrobinoculars, T-21B blaster for long range and an SE-14C, with holster, for close quarters. As a Squad Commander, his role is to direct fire, and to order the attack team to engage the enemy. He has no fixed position, sometimes he stays with the defence team, and other times he goes with the attack team."

"Thanks for all the positive feedback! The printed fabric was very easy to use. I used Dritz “Printed Treasures” Inkjet fabric sheets, from my local fabric store. Until recently they were available on Amazon, as well, but they appear to be out of stock. There are a few other brands, too."

Another T-45 power armour update and this one update I decided to start on the base which is a thick piece of high denisty foam cut to shape and sanded. The structure is what is left of a house's porch, I used high density foam for the brick work foundation and the porch and step is done using balsa wood.

"I started this build a while ago but put it down to concentrate on commissions I had on the go. After building three sewers I wanted to have one to expand upon the TMNT Lair I built earlier this year.
With the structure already made I have drawn on the brick work ready to score on the walls. I have put down the walkways as I have done in the past."

"Hi All,
Another update on the T-45 power armour. I changed the head over which is from damtoys as the first was good but didn't give the armour a big bulky look to it. The next thing I did was customized robot hands from a Gunpla bot set I picked up and I then used a mix of PVA glue and plasticine and filled in the joints and used for the top of the head.
The reason I use this PVA glue and plasticine mix as it's cheap and it works great and once dry it sets really well and shrinks and expands in different temperatures so it doesn't crack.

New project and this one is going to a vault dweller in T-45 power armour taking a break.
The T-45 armour is from Funko and I got the head from ebay and I think it is from Crazy Figures. I pulled the T-45 figure apart and repositioned it and glued it back into the pose I wanted, I used Bandai Stormtrooper bicep armour and 1/72 scale WWII parts for the feet and ankle areas. I still have a bit to do on the armour and I'll get pics up once I have completed the armour.

Just like every normal person, there are a few outfits and variations that the figure can go through. I modeled the figure's costume changes after what I would wear normally, which is usually a shirt with the sleeves rolled up, a vest, or a jacket. To be honest, this really make me want to be back in the photonovel scene."

I completed these three in the space of about 5 hours. I did cheat with them and dry brushed all the highlights on them instead of hand paint. Next time I'll take my time and hand paint the lights."

"A good friend of mine repainted the Micro Battle Set Turbo Tank / Juggernaut, and I added the interior, because the original interior was Kashyyyk environment diorama and not a proper tank one. Here is the finished product, though I'd better say it is still work in progress, as I'm going to make further changes to the interior. Enjoy :)"

"I got a few more blast effects, in the mail today. I used a bigger caliber for the T-21, which in my SW headcanon is like a powerful elephant gun. The E-WEB, I gave a different blast effect, than the one I had."
His use of rare earth magnets for the ends of the barrel and effect are just a no brainer. Can you imagine the swap out opportunity here!

Well the box wasn't so awesome as it came crushed (just when I think I have my Fed Ex Folks figured out), but due to some awesome packing I got some awesome SDCC Exclusives from Hasbro for free! I am so stoked on all three, but especially that Vintage 6" Boba Fett on an TESB Vintage Card. It looks awesome! Thanks Hasbro!

Spider Man Display Completed.
Recipe.
Figure - The figure is a KO which my mate got two and wasn't happy with them so he gave them to me and I repainted one and gave the other one to my daughter.
Base - The building is made using foam board and I used a sharp pencil to mark out the bricks and the cement was done using spakfilla. The door is foam board and the door frame is balsa wood and the pipes are plastic tube. The bill board is made using balsa wood and the poster is done using pics and patterns form the net and behind the poster is small magnets placed all over so that the figure can be attached.

"I added some detail to my E-WEB. I used plastic model kit parts, then I painted it flat black, with a gunmetal dry brush. I painted the optic display first with gloss white, then clear gloss red. The blast effect us from a Bandai kit, I'll change it up, if I find something better."

"I did add some more magnetic blast effects to some different weapons I'll be using. E-11, SE-14C, and RT-97C. I bought some tiny magnets and an el cheapo pin vise drill bit, just slightly bigger than the diameter of the magnet. I made sure the right ends of the magnets were facing each other and glued one to the rifle, and one to the blast effect."
He goes on to say to make sure you are using the same end of the magnets for your blaster end and the effect end so you can swap em all out easily. Makes sense to me!

"Speaking of which, I made a DLT-19D. It's made from a non Star Wars MG-34. The top scope is from a GI Joe, the little scope on the side of the barrel is from an underscaled E-11. The sensors or whatever below the barrel are from Chewbacca's crossbow. Then I bent some wire and attached it to the gun and the sensors. Then I added a magnet to the end of the barrel, and to a blaster effect that came with Djas Puhr. I'm still waiting for my Stormtroopers, so this Mimban Stormtrooper will do, as it's the same sculpt and articulation."

Spider man display WIP 1:12 scale
A mate of mine thought he was getting two MAFEX Spiderman figures of ebay but they turned out to be Knock Offs, so he didn't want them and gave them to me. So I decided to repaint one as the paint apps were crappy and I also started working on making a shelf/wall hanging display for it."

"I pretty much finished the groundwork, I'd like to get some more small shrubs or low plants. I started by sifting my Endor Forest in a bag, into fine, medium and course, and separated them into different containers.
After that, dabbed on white glue one small section at a time, to the places I wanted my forest litter. I applied the course, then the medium.
Lastly for a finishing touch, I rubbed some areas, where I wanted bare spots."
Folks it looks real to me.

"The last couple of days, I've been working on the groundwork. First, I made a subterranean root system, out of dead bonsai, and grape vine roots. This will mostly be covered, but a few little roots will be visible. Then I mixed the soil using; white glue/water coffee grounds, tea leaves, dead leaves sand and roots. Then I spread it around the base."
That is just the start of the description and the images. He is really doing a great job with this. So realistic!
