We have started a fantasy football league here at the Yards and wanted to invite any football fan who wants to further enjoy thier Sundays to sign up. Don't worry if you do not have any fantasy football experience as this is a free league and we are all in it just to have fun. To join the custom league just follow the easy sign up instructions found here in our forums and you will find all the info you need to join up. We are also having a live draft Friday evening (9pm Eastern) for those who want to draft in person and meet the Yarders!
EB Games Stormtrooper Commander: Not in the USA!

Today, we here at Imperialshipyards contacted the EB Games/Gamestop Corporate headquarters to confirm the availability of the Stormtrooper Commander action figure for US Gamers, and we were dismayed to discover that it IS in fact exclusive to Canada at this time. They did not rule out the possibility of the figure shipping to the US at any time, but as of now, there are no plans for this figure to make it's way to the States. So, if you have a Canadian hookup, now's the time to get in touch! Head on into our forums to discuss this now!

It seems George Lucas has sent a movie script called "Red Tails" to Samuel to see if he would like to direct. This is a WWII film about the Tuskegee Airmen that evidently George has been wanting to do for years. While it seems Jackson is reluctant to give up acting for now, he sure didn't rule it out either. Take a look at this great looking Art FX statue entertainment earth has up for preorder. This set of 3 pieces contain the following (subject to change): 1x Anakin Skyywalker, 1x Ahsoka Tano, and 1x Obi-Wan Kenobi. Yoda is completed by asembling the pieces you get from each of the three statues. Ahsoka includes Jabba the Hut's young son Rotta in a backpack, which also can be worn by Anakin. EE also sent me an email about a new policy:

The official reviews are in and many were not that positive. Should this have been a TV release only? Should this have been a "live action" movie using real actors and sets? Being that we have lived our lives "immersed" in the Star Wars Universe, perhaps our review is a better one. Please take a moment and share your thoughts on this new movie in our forums.

In conjunction with 'The Clone Wars' movie debut; Gentle Giant Ltd. is now taking pre-orders for the first 2 releases in the Clone Wars (the movie) series of animated maquettes. Ahsoka Tano and the White Clone Trooper maqueetes are both scheduled for release in late November or early December 2008. Guaranteed pre-orders are now being taken for these Clone Wars Maquettes!

I am all wired up getting ready to go see the new movie and just found out that G4 TV is having a good bit of Star Wars material on today. From a great X-Play show on the making of the Force Unleashed including the artwork and a wild "cameo" appearance by Morgan Webb to a special on Star Wars Celebration Japan it is a good watch! Make sure you have cookies enabled for that last link or you may just sit there and see the same screen over and over and over. Hopefully this can keep you occupied till you hit the theatre tonight.

I just happened to see a copy of the new TV Guide that was just full of new Clone Wars movie information. I decided to check out their info on the web and was not disappointed. From an exclusive cd offer to the new movie trailers you will not be disappointed if you take a peek. I might have to check out that cd offer myself!

We got a report in from a Yarder that this was starting to show up so I had to go out and look. Sure enough, this ship was sitting by itself on the ship shelf of my local Wal-Mart. I have waited for this ship for a long time and watched many an ebay auction slide by due to the huge cost these were going for. I was just looking through some emails from Entertainment Earth and noticed the following items:

They warn that some of the images may be prototype and could change for the final product. I am hoping that Shield Generator BP comes with two Imperial Officers instead of one as pictured in the Hasbro SDCC presentation, but I guess we will have to see.

I know at first glance this doesn't seem like such a big deal. It is just a coloring book. I thought so too till I opened it up and looked at some of the images and the sticker sheet that came with it. From a new different looking AT-RT driver to the first full body shot of the Clone Wars version of Gree there are a few new teasers in there. Log in now to our forums for a little peek. Chad sent us some great pics of his visit to the Science Museum of MN where he took in the "STAR WARS Where Science Meets Imagination" exhibit. I really liked the ship pictures and was a little ticked that the AT-ST was bigger than the AT-AT, but I will get over it. You have got to check out the pictures of Chad and his "boss" in costume so to speak. Our Chad sure does look pretty good as a Sith if I say so myself!

Now I haven't had a chance to look at the full list of 900 items, but the Imperial Briefing Set did catch my eye. This bad boy was originally $40 smackers, but is now on sale for $25. Hmmm...wonder if I could get Rodger to make me one of his great tables?
UPDATE: Looks like they have listed Legacy Wave 3 and Legacy Wave 4 at $48 smackers per wave. Thats not really too bad if you tack the gas prices I am paying onto each figure!
