Wal-Mart.com lists the Hero Series Falcon...
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, July 31 2014
I just got in a report for ISYer KRZTFR that he spotted that "Walmart.com has the big waste of money falcon for sale." Well for those who have to have it you can pre-order it for what looks to be an October 7th shipment. I am still on the fence about this one. The outside details looks great, but the fact that it is just a big ole hunk of plastic without any opening cockpit or playability with action figures just gives me pause.

Please vote in our Next Custom Challenge Poll...

Here is the chance for you to help us decide our next customizing challenge. There are many choices that came out of the hat for this one including Mandalorians, Super Hero Cross-Overs, Custom recreations from another artist, etc. You have until this weekend to get in your vote before we start on Monday!

Look ma no eyes!
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, July 31 2014
I am sorry to start this off with a pun, but I just don't know what to say about this. A recent quick purchase of the new six inch Scout trooper yesterday allowed him to get home to find out his purchase was missing the eyes! Folks I am at a loss to describe how this missed what I am now wondering is quality control. While the owner sure does have a neat conversation piece now we can but wonder what other paint atrocities we are going to see in what should be the Cadillac of Hasbro's products. Seeing Hasbro's recent answer about our paint issue questions it makes me wonder how aware they really are?

Lucasclones reviews Danger at the Docks!
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, July 31 2014
Wow it has been awhile since my buddy Chad has gotten his hands on anything good and it was great to see him post a new YouTube Video Review. I am hoping this is just the start of him finding new things on the pegs! Enjoy his video review of the Toys R US SDCC Exclusive Danger at the Docks JOE Set.

Elias is back with an update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, July 31 2014
"Here's another one from my little guy. He spent two days working on this one. He only finished the torture rack so far. He hasn't gotten to the droid itself yet. After seeing Chewie's version, he wants me to find some wires to add to the figure." Well doesn't that just look great! Man, I wonder whose arm we would have to twist now to get something like this out by Hasbro?

Wookie Balls adds to his Vintage Kenner Restoration Project...
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, July 31 2014
His latest update includes these two restored Droids Action Figures in the form of R2 and 3PO and custom cards that make them look cash fresh. Ah I can remember how that cartoon was on my must watch list Saturday mornings. Wouldn't it be grand to see these on the pegs again!

Bronxstalker is back with a Storm Shadow...
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, July 31 2014
"Here goes my extremely simple custom of my re-imagined Storm Shadow. Just a simple head swap and repaint. I really wanted to do a re-imagining of Storm Shadow, simply because, his name Storm Shadow really doesn't strike me as being "white". Both the words storm and shadow screams either black, grey, dreary, etc, so I made him just that. However, since the real Storm Shadow is indeed white, I dry brushed him with some lighter shades." It sure doe make more sense for me for a ninja not to stand out so much!

Buy this you should from Most Wanted Collectibles!
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, July 30 2014
This 1/10 Scale Attakus TESB Yoda just looks fantastic to me. At only $61 dollars, that is the cheapest I have seen this for anywhere, if your store is even still listing it.

Don't forget to go to MWC for all you high end collectibles if you like getting them for lower prices. I mean I guess you could pay a higher price, but when you factor in the excellent customer service, fast and protected shipping it just seems like a no brainer to use em to me!

A TIE Interceptor in 6 inch scale!
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, July 30 2014
Now I can't verify that exactly, but that sure does look like a 6 inch Storm Trooper standing in front of this. All I can say is that if you aren't watching our Facebook Page these are the types of things you may be missing out on. Click here for more images and information on that great TIE which I might add was 3D Printed!

Smeagol92055 shows us the first page of a great webcomic...

Darth Sinister presents a different point of view...
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, July 30 2014
He is back with a new Star Wars Marvel Update. I am seriously liking all of the wonderful characters he is creating. I can't even imagine how well a wave or even line of SW Marvel Figures would be received if Hasbro would ever deem to make them.

Big Bad Toy Store relists the SDCC Jabba!
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, July 30 2014
It was nice to wake up this morning and know there was still a good option to pick this up. Big Bad Toy Store is listing this for $115, which is a heck of a lot cheaper than you will find it listed for at the aforementioned evil bay! This had originally sold out so don't look for it to stay up there forever if you want it!

Clonesniper78 is back with an update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, July 30 2014
He is working on some JOE stuff as well as some work in progress Zombies. Ole Flint is looking pretty buff. Its always great to see an update from CS78.

Kweh-Chan is back with a July Update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, July 30 2014
"I can't remember if I submitted the work in progress, or not, but regardless, I finally finished my Elsamoidian piece, simply so that I wouldn't have to through the entire month of July without finishing or submitting a piece of work." We also want to congratulate her on recently graduating from college with a Masters Degree in Astrophysics!

Mattel to make Star Wars Playsets!
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, July 30 2014
Well they aren't huge, but they sure did preview some awesome die-cast vehicles in the form of a Millennium Falcon and showcased some awesome smaller size playsets like the Death Star, Hoth Echo Base, Rebels Transport, and some smaller sized ships the remind me a lot of micro-machines or maybe even Action Fleet! Lets just say Spring of 2015 is gonna be a great year to be a collector for many reasons. Thanks to Figure.com for creating a great Mattel Gallery.

Here is our question and answer session with Hasbro for SDCC 2014!
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, July 29 2014
I am sorry it took me a bit to get this posted, but up for your viewing perusal is our question and answer session we had with William Rawley and Jeff Labovitz of the Hasbro Brand Team. I would like to thank both of them and our first time out of the gate reporter Todd for taking the time to do these for us. Click here to read the answers to questions dealing topics that include; new additions to the six inch line up, paint mask issues, new vehicle offerings, the future of action figure articulation, and more!

-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, July 29 2014
Well he sure didn't let the time he was waiting to ask our questions go to waste. He snapped a few images of the various items in the display cases. Trust me these are way high resolution so get prepared to see em large!

Revoltech to make Star Wars Six Inch Figures and small vehicles!
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, July 29 2014
Dayton's second great SW Product Update this afternoon was a great image gallery of "upcoming Revoltech Star Wars Darth Vader, Stormtrooper, R2 and C3PO...a tease of Boba Fett and some small Revoltech vehicles?." I must say it is getting quite crowded in the six inch line up. And Dayton I have to agree with you on that capey shoulderpads thing!

Sith Fire 30 is finding new Star Wars Updates...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, July 29 2014
This is the first of not one, but two Star Wars New Product updates I have seen by our pal Dayton this afternoon. First up in an update to the new MAFEX Line. I am telling you between that Storm Trooper and Darth Vader I don't know how you are gonna resist these if you like the 6 inch Scale. See the full update on his Facebook Page.

Ron Hembling is back with a Trooper Under Fire...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, July 29 2014
I know it might seem weird that I am only showing the lower area of this new 6" custom from Hemble, but the water effects he achieved with this one are nothing short of outright magic. Needless to say the rest of this Trooper is just as brilliant, but that mini-diorama of him splashing through the water really shows the quality that we have come to expect as just normal everyday stuff from Ron Hembling. Wow!

The Spectre is ready to invade Middle Earth...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, July 29 2014
The Eye of Sauron is strong with Dan this month it seems as he is back with a veritable army of Orcs. I have never seen such varied character ranges as the ones he has created from Warg Riders to Sentries to Heavy Armor, etc. I know I lost a half hour this morning just drooling at all the great custom goodness. Even the weapons for these alone are something to marvel at. Just awesome work Dan!

Smeagol92055 shows us the start of a great webcomic...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, July 29 2014
"Howdy once again, folks, it's your friendly neighborhood Smeagol. I've been working on a project called Science Team Tau for the better part of two years now, and after numerous false starts and dead ends, I'm FINALLY starting in earnest. Here's a preview of a couple of panels!" All I have to say is Wow! I can't wait to see the first chapter of this.

The Clonehead scores first!
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, July 28 2014
He tracked down the Black Series 6" Deluxe Packs at Target this afternoon. "I tracked em to a Target store close to work in Blue Springs, MO but they couldn't find em over the phone. I found the case of three pieces buried under some other toys cases on a skid back by the men's clothes. Case of SW Rebels Masks was opposite side of pile Deluxe 6 inch Black Series Case. It read 8-03 but the computer said sell em. The Case holds two Speeder Bikes and one Jabba. It's exciting to find new stuff." I know what he means. Don't forget to let us know what you find in our New Purchases Thread.

I would still say, if someone pressed me, that for the dollar amount the quality you get with anything Koto is just unparalleled. Click through and enjoy his review.

Custom Jedi shows us his BAD C3PO...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, July 28 2014
I was hoping one of the things Hasbro was going to showcase this past weekend was a Build A Droid 3PO, but alas perhaps at NYCC. Custom Jedi shows us how cool one looks and has added a restraining bolt for even more realism. Sometimes it is such a joy and a pain at the same time when I see such cool custom action figures while at the same time seeing how simple a fix or a figure Hasbro could make to bring smiles to the faces of the masses.

And the Stake Out begins at Hasbro Toy Shop...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, July 28 2014
You are definitely gambling this week if you are planning on staking out Hasbro Toy Shop for their new SDCC Exclusive Packs, but here is the link to try if you are game to try. Talking with other site heads this weekend it was pointed out that the past couple of years it was a Tuesday and noon and a Wednesday at 3PM (last year) when these went live, but it is really anyone's guess as to when these will hit. Good luck and if you get yours and see we haven't posted yet (contrarily to popular belief I don't spend all day on the web) please post here and help folks get theirs if there is still time.

Site Sponsor Big Bad Toy Store lists SDCC Jabba the Hutt Pack!
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, July 28 2014
Here is the second option I have found for acquiring this Exclusive Set which is going for ridiculous amounts on eBay. Big Bad Toy Store is listing this for $115, which is a heck of a lot cheaper than you will find it listed for at the aforementioned evil bay! Its nice to know we have at least a few options if we are going to try and add this to our collections.

UPDATE: These are now pre-order sold out and we hope you were able to order one! We will monitor this and let you know if they get more in.

JTA alerts us its time to head to TARGET!
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, July 28 2014
It looks like some TARGET stores on the East Coast (from FL to MD to WI) are now stocking the Six Inch Scout Trooper with Speederbike and regular Jabba the Hutt Packs. I must say it is sure pretty cool to see new stuff hitting. Its kind of interesting to point out that it seems etailers were the first to get the 3 and 3/4 wave while brick and mortar stores are getting the 6 inch stuff. We can only hope this new trend of stuff hitting the pegs continues. Please send me an email if you spot anything new in your stores.

While we continue to work on getting our own session answers out for your perusal, our good friends at Jedi Temple Archives have released their own report. See the answers to questions with tops that include; articulation, distribution issues again, retail issues, where are all the three and three quarter figures, etc. Its a good read and will once again make you smile and perhaps frown in the span of a few seconds. Yodasnews.com shares their video Q and A with Hasbro...
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, July 27 2014
They "had an opportunity to meet with William Rawley and Jeff Labovitz from Hasbro and ask them the questions our readers sent it." Just a few of the topics they got into included; Saga Legends and Mission Series lines, why the carded images have the word "Rebels" under them and some do not, about the 5 POA figures and the appeal of them for older collectors, female characters in the 3.75 lines, more Droid Factory Build-A-Droid astromech figures at Disney, how would you describe the items you are working on for Episode 7. As always some of the answers you might like and some will leave you scratching your head! Don't forget to subscribe to their channel while you are there.

What should our next custom challenge be?
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, July 26 2014
Well I finally have the prize for the last one in transit to me so I thought it was time to we decided what we want to build next! I took all the great ideas generated by the ISYers and created a poll that I will hope you vote for. Do you want to create a custom inspired by another artist, an articulation to make it move challenge, gender cross-over, Superhero Mash Up? Well just hit the aforementioned link and see the vast range of choices. Feel free to poll for your favorite choice and spread the word as many places as possible!

Fiala Fernbrugg shows us what Commander Bly looked like as a Storm Trooper Commander...
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, July 26 2014
I can't even imagine all the applause that Hasbro would have gotten during their presentation yesterday if they had pulled something like this into their display case or made part of their presentation. Hands down this is one of the coolest Storm Trooper Customs I have seen. After you click here to see the full update and back story make sure you scroll up as he also has a Storm Trooper Bacara and Gree that are top shelf too.

Darth Crassus shows us a sequel era Luke...
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, July 26 2014
"We now know that Mark Hamill has been cast for Episode VII. I think it’s safe to assume he’ll still be a Jedi. I decided to repaint the New Jedi Order Luke to create a more realistic version of Sequel era Jedi garb. The NJO version had gaudy red vestments, which just didn’t seem very Jedi-like." Works for me. I guess he needs a beard perhaps, contractual and all that. :)

Smeagol92055 gives us an update on FrankenFig...
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, July 26 2014
"I decided to scrap the jacket completely in favor of more heavy armor. I gave the figure an initial paint job (really rough, more of a wash than anything else at this point,) so that I have a nice consistent base coat for the final paint application." The full recipe will show you how brilliant this one is. I look forward to the final reveal. To me, this one kind of has a heavy weapons and armor look for a Judge.

Hate to risk HasbroToyShop.com?
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, July 26 2014
Well Robot Kingdom has the Exclusive SDCC Jabba Set sans SDCC Sticker for a much more reasonable $79.90. They are not claiming that it will be in mint condition and to "please be expecting scratches on the box surface." They are also limiting this to one per person so you ought to have a good shot at owning this if you really want it. Thanks to our friends at Jeditemplearchives.com for making me aware of it. Those boys to toy hounds!

Anovos puts their TESB Vader up for pre-order...
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, July 26 2014
Well we knew it was going to be expensive as the quality is just impressive. For $2,062 dollars you can own the standard set or you can get the premier line for $5,780 dollars! Like I said very expensive, but it looks to me like you are getting screen accurate quality that we might not have seen other than 501st approvals. I will be looking forward to seeing how that group treats this costume.

Remember last year this time?
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, July 25 2014
We were all wheeling and dealing trying to find that one person who could score us one of the Six Inch Fett with Han in Carbonite Packs. I can remember the awesome message I got from my buddy Todd who sent me the message my Boba Exclusive was safe in hand. Then, I had another good friend Remco who went to CE2 and scored me that version; both of those at cost. I won't even begin to get into the prices the SDCC Hasbro Jabba is going for right now and to be honest I am not even wanting to argue about the fairness of the mark up as we are all supposed to act like wise managers of our meager collecting resources. Still, when I see one of our great site sponsors Big Bad Toy Store offer up last year's SDCC Exclusive for regular retail I am wondering if we all just need a good ole fashion dose of patience. Truth be told, I am the worst possible person to be advocating this as I have violated that rule so many times I am way past what you would term hypocritical.

The Hasbro High Resolution Image Gallery is up...

One of them anyway, I figured Facebook would be as easy as anyone to navigate and enjoy. Feel free to share em and get just as excited as I am about quite a few of them. Stay tuned as we continue to digest the news and break it down. And of course, our Imperial Agent is hard at work delivering our communique to Hasbro. Mater of fact, I heard a rumor he was descending around 5:19 Pacific Time, but you know how Bothans can be sometimes!

Update: Our Site Hosted Gallery is now online as well and it has that cool Slideshow Feature if you are interested.

As a Star Wars Collector you really have got to feel like today is a little bit like Christmas. The only hard part is gonna be the wait! Galactic Hunter is just hooking me to their page and I am loving it! Matter of fact add K3PO and Yoda and R2 to the list of the new ones coming out. Just fantastic!

I would also be remiss if I didn't feature their Anovos Gallery as between that Darth Vader and Sand Trooper I don't see how any avid Star Wars Costumer is gonna be able to resist. That Vader even has a cool magnet feature to ensure the top of the bucket doesn't come off!

The Y-Wing shown is an older one that I decided to modify/partially melt to simulate turbolaser damage. You will see more of that Y-Wing soon." It looks like he has the start of some great fan fiction here.

I-am-Boba-Fett is back with a new custom update already!
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, July 25 2014
He has really been on fire these past few weeks! "Here are some pics of a custom TWILEK FEMALE BODYGUARD figure that I made. Her head tails, ears, and headdress are all sculpted with greenstuff. I also made her staff from three pieces of plastic tubing joined together and sanded to blend to look like one solid piece. I then sculpted the ends of her staff with greenstuff. I gave her jumpboots like Cad Bane. This figure is based on a Star Wars miniatures gamepiece with added touches by me to enhance her into a more interesting custom figure." I would say she fits right at home in our SW Verse just fine.

I can see my foray in TESB Gentle Giant Jumbos is just beginning. Between the 2-1B and Ugnaught (lets face it they will have two of those) I will be down three digits, but that is just probably the start. Click here to see the full gallery. I think that might do it for the major players today, but as always look for us the give you the skippy on the new stuff as we find out!

JTA gives us a new look at the Hasbro Booth...
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, July 24 2014
Some of these REBELS figures are looking downright great to me and some of them have me wondering what is going on (other than just the ridiculous 5 POA junk), but leave it to The Archives to give us crystal clear large images so we can make up our own minds. It sounds like they had a bit of a mix up with their bags, so we wish them well!

Our friends at JTA showcase an awesome SDCC Sideshow Gallery!
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, July 24 2014
Of course you can count our friends at Jeditemplearchives to always be in the know on any SW Product and their new gallery for the Sideshow Items sure is enough to get any Star Wars Fan excited. Click here for the full gallery and tell em the Tamer sent you. I am telling you that Scout Trooper and TIE Pilot look phenomenal to me.

The Walgreens Fett is sold out!
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, July 24 2014
Well that only took a day, but I have to admit with the way the word was spread yesterday that was probably inevitable. The good thing is that is says temporarily out of stock so keep checking this link, you never know when it could come back in stock.

Our friends at Yodasnews showcase some exclusive Jakks Pacific Figures...
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, July 24 2014
With a new 20" scale to boot it looks like Wal-Mart is getting a Boba Fett Exclusive while Toys R Us is getting a Luke Skywalker in Stormtrooper Disguise. Click here to see their full gallery. I haven't bought one of these JP Figures yet, but perhaps that is about to change?

Gentle Giant to make G.I. JOE Jumbos!
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, July 24 2014
I kinda wondered when they would get around to this. "Gentle Giant has revealed a new line of 12" Vintage Jumbo G.I.Joe figures. The plan is to start off with a special edition Grunt figure to be released around Christmas. It will come in special footlocker packaging. Then they will release the first 5 figures below on authentic G.I.Joe cardbacks next year." Special thanks to my buddy Chad (Lucasclones) for filling me in on the new info today as I have been out of the loop since this morning! Remember to follow this thread as we try to bring you the latest news we think matters to you from SDCC!

The Toys R US Cantina Showdown in now available too...
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, July 24 2014
I have to admit this one doesn't have me as much excited as that JOE Pack we just posted on, but for those of you who want another excuse to pick up the same 6" Han and Greedo that we already have seen then go for it. I will admit that the pack itself just looks great from the perspective of a carded collector, but I am just having a hard time realizing all those great set pieces are just cardboard when they could have been real plastic to be used over and over again! Matter of fact, you may want to check out all the ToysRUs SDCC Exclusives as they are all up for pre-order!

ToysRUs lists Danger at the Docks!
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, July 24 2014
If you haven't gotten this ToysRUs SDCC G.I. JOE Exclusive read no more at that link will get you to the order page for this great set. I can already hear the JOE Fans whooping for joy at the fact that this one is gonna be able to be purchased online and as of this post it is still in stock. I am not sure how long that will last so don't tarry. I am telling you, between this and the Walgreens Fett yesterday (temporarily out of stock) I have to credit either Hasbro or said Etailers with really doing whats right by collectors.

I-am-Boba-Fett is back with a new head sculpt...
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, July 24 2014
"Here is a painted EXCLUSIVE cast head available from me. This is a HOODED DARTH MALGUS cast head. Painted and unpainted versions of this cast head are available for purchase." That link will get you all you need to get one of these. We know the EU Hasbro Malgus is coming, wouldn't one of these heads look fantastic on him!

Clonesniper78 finishes his Recondo...
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, July 24 2014
"Recondo! Finally got him done. Notice the wrapped and painted M14 from Maurader Gunrunners." Well you sure can't go wrong with that combination. His final reveal pics are fantastic.

Bronxstalker is back with some JOE work...
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, July 24 2014
"This one is of Snake Eyes, but it's a very very simply custom, nothing complex. All I did was use snake eyes head, Stalker body and Zartan shins/feet. The chest armor piece is from a flint or duke, I can't remember which. And I don't recall where I got the backpack from, but I sculpted that piece in the back to hold his sword." Looks good to me. There are some great work in progress figures to peruse too.

Starchaser is back with a multi-figure update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, July 24 2014
"Here's a couple of more original figures. The first is a "Rebels" era character. His name is Fallvaroo and he's a street kid (well street Wookie) on Coruscant. His mother was brought to Coruscant as a slave, basically a scullery maid, to an Imperial official while pregnant. She managed to hide him for a few years while he was quite young, but couldn't keep it up so he escaped into the "streets" of Coruscant. He's about sixteen (and consequently not as tall as a full grown Wookie)." Ah those crazy teenagers and their hair styles. Make sure you see his entire update as there are some great customs there.

Get a hard to find bust from Most Wanted Collectibles...
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, July 23 2014
We interrupt this SDCC to bring you a great word from our site sponsor MWC in the form of some of the harder to find Gentle Giant Mini-Busts, much like the one you see above. The Airborne Trooper has long been gone for regular purchase from many etailers, but you can still grab it from MWC!

I have not yet seen any etailer give the type of discount that Most Wanted does on a regular basis for their Gentle Giant Products. Grab yourself a SW treat and tell em the Tamer sent ya!

The Questions are ready!
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, July 23 2014
I am happy to report our Site Reporter is fully armed and operational is and is ready to descend upon the Hasbro Brand Team. Please remember, we had a gargantuan task getting these organized, prioritized, and rationale in a way that will get you the best answer possible. Cross you fingers as Todd presents them. And remember, he only gets ten minutes so if we don't get all the questions in, there is always New York!

We get a first look at the SW.com Pavilion at SDCC!
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, July 23 2014
"Preview” night is Wednesday, but we’re not fooled by the name. Preview night is really a full con day. Sure it starts officially at 5:00 pm, but I believe we need to be set and wrapped in the morning, and ready to face the onslaught…I mean excitement!…that is Comic-Con International." Mary Franklin gives us a very nice look at all the great things there. I need one of those Star Wars Hats!

Galactic Hunter shares some Epic Kotobukiya Goodness...
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, July 23 2014
I think most folks know I am very pleased with Koto's 1/10 Scale Star Wars Line. I own all their TESB Statues and just think for your money the quality is unparalleled. Here GH is showing their display of I don't know how many 1/10 Stormies which is just mind boggling. Go Kotobukiya! Galactic Hunter also has a great early Gallery up showing some shelf tags now. Looks like Target gets the Sith Inquisitor TIE and the Phantom, both with their subsequent pilots.

You can now pre-order the Walgreens Prototype Boba Fett!
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, July 23 2014
I just happened to check Facebook a few seconds ago and the first post I saw was that the Walgreens Fett was up for pre-order already. Well, I just had to go check that out and sure enough it is! I ordered a couple and found out that they have free shipping on orders over $25. Spread the word to your friends folks as I wonder how long either their site stays up or the pre-orders last before they are sold out.

Update: Folks make sure you go to "non mobile version" or "full site" at bottom of their home screen. Otherwise you will get a screen that won't let you order and that got me very frustrated when I first tried to order.

Rebelscum showcases the SDCC Hasbro Booth...
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, July 23 2014
Their Bothans must be quite good as they already have a full gallery up for the Hasbro Booth. I must say that the new Black Series Packaging is really a lot better than the current version. Take a look at the full gallery here and don't forget if you have anything SDCC you want to share post it here. And don't forget its just the polite thing to do to show where you got your info.

Mr. Black is reorganizing...
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, July 23 2014
"Back in 2008 I had this idea to seriously take on reorganizing my 'man cave'. It's my own little room, where I have my collection on display and where I practice the fine art of customizing. It's a small room of 2m. x 3m. (6ft. x 9ft.), but it's mine. Mine! Fast forward six years and I've finally started the makeover! Here's a series of photos showing the progress." I so seriously need to do this myself!

Kelcken is back with a new Jacen...
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, July 23 2014
"Here's a Jacen Solo I made a while back, I just forgot to post him. This is what I imagined the GAG (Galactic Alliance Guard) uniform looking like when I read the Legacy of the Force series. Jacen was the head of the Guard, and eventually started wearing the uniform instead of traditional Jedi robes. Hope you like him!" Well I do. Click on through and read the full recipe.

I-am-Boba-Fett is back with a mega-update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, July 23 2014
"I was commissioned to make a custom Star Trek figure for a customer's father for his birthday present. The request was for a XINDI-REPTILIAN species figure. Based on the online reference pics I found I sculpted up this head and created this custom figure for him. I sculpted the original head, then made a mold of it, and then cast it in resin plastic." Trust me folks when I say this is but a small sample of just a ton of great new customs figures you can see when you hit the aforementioned link. Make sure you scroll around.

Clonesniper78 is back with an update...

Bronxstalker shows us his customizing journey...
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, July 23 2014
Through a few of his early to now action figures. I find it really enjoyable to see the progression the various custom artists have here at ISY. It is easy to see that BSKR really takes the hobby seriously and is always striving for better; as all good customizers constantly do.

Starchaser takes a trip down memory lane...
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, July 23 2014
"Okay, so today I was doing a bit of organizing of the 'ol customs and remembered my very first. So I dug it out and thought I would share. We all have to start someplace. I will certainly date myself with this one, but I did it when I was 11, before "customizing" was what it is today. I just couldn't believe that Kenner didn't make the cool troopers from the opening scene of Star Wars, so I had to make one myself." Not bad for an 11 year old!

Have you seen the great Star Wars Deals at Beyond Mortality Toys?
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, July 22 2014
I had a friend message me this past week saying there was a new etailer I needed to check out called Beyond Mortality Toys. Well no sooner did I look than I saw some just fantastic prices on Star Wars Toys. How does a new pre-order for 3 and 3/4 inch Star Wars at $8.92 feel to you? How bout Black Series 6 inch pre-orders at &$16.99 including the good ones? Well all I have to say is I put in my own order fairly quickly!

Darth Daddy is back with an update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, July 22 2014
He is keeping The Clone Wars alive with yet another new custom for that particular genre. 99 was definitely one of my favorite TCW Characters and hands down would have made a great figure addition to the line by Hasbro. Click on through to see the update.

BDC41866 gives Big Padawan's Customs an update...

"Another nice sized update today, Denizens of the Yards! Had a lot of fun with these. Again much inspiration from various sources. First up is a cyborg bounty hunter, then we have an Order 66 Jedi survivor, an Old Republic Jedi explorer, and finally a Kel Dor sniper. Enjoy!" Well I sure did.

We welcome Bronxstalker to ISY...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, July 22 2014
"Hi all, I've been a long time lurker and have decided to bite the bullet and join and start posting. I only have about a year under my belt customizing, and my earlier stuff isn't even worth showing. Now, I have a couple that might be of interest to show. I still don't have a lot to post at the moment, and I'm hesitant to post them, but what the heck, might as well." Well I for one am glad you did as I really enjoyed his Star Wars as well as JOE Customs.

Obi-Wan Kenobi Star Wars Legendary Scale(TM) Figure is up for order!

The SSC Legendary Scale Obi-Wan is up for pre-order!
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, July 22 2014
You have to admit it is one awesome looking work of art. "Joining our acclaimed Star Wars collection, Sideshow Collectibles is proud to present the Obi-Wan Kenobi Legendary Scale™ Figure. Standing over three feet tall, this cinematic presentation captures Sir Alec Guinness’ unforgettable performance as the heroic Jedi master in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope." It has to be one of the most accurate representations of this character I have ever seen.

UPDATE!: I have created a separate page for those of you who like to use discus comments. I too think it is pretty rad and it was finally time I figured it out!

JJ is asking that all Wings report in for Star Wars: Force for Change!
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, July 21 2014
"All Wings Report In! On the set of Star Wars: Episode VII, Director J.J. Abrams was interrupted by an X-Wing pilot and rogue robot as he announced the chance for fans to win an advance private screening of Star Wars: Episode VII. “We are so grateful for the support that the fans from over 119 countries have shown for Force for Change," said Abrams. "As we close this final week, we’ve added an additional prize that allows the fans the opportunity to see the movie early as a thank you for supporting such a great cause as UNICEF’s innovative, lifesaving work for children.” By contributing at any level by July 25th, participants will be eligible for all prizes including a chance to be in the movie." I have to admit seeing that new ship that is a cross between an X-Wing and a Z-95 Headhunter, Pilot, and Mouse Droid sure was pretty cool!

Koth is back with a mega-update...

Darth Leere starts up a custom figures thread...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, July 21 2014
It was nice to first meet this customizer by the great EU Ben Skywalker entry in our latest challenge, but now DL is back with a great many new custom action figures for us to peruse. "This next custom is an old republic Mandalorian Jedi hunter. His name is Roth Sunburst. His parents were killed by a dark Jedi when he was a child. He was found by a Mandalorian and was raised to be such." You will enjoy the rest of the back-story.

Custom Jedi revisits some old custom figures...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, July 21 2014
"I'm continuing to pull out old customs and deciding which ones will be revisited. Here's CZ-3 from 2007. I repainted his face after stripping off most of the original Hasbro paint apps. He could use some additional weathering but he still holds up." I agree he holds up quite well!

Wraithnine is back with a new Sideshow Custom...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, July 21 2014

Stronox is back with two new Star Wars Customs...

"Hi guys!! Been a while since I have posted anything Star Wars...Been getting into a lot of other projects lately...Anyways, I made up a Revan and Malak using all Joe parts and nothing from the actual Revan or Malak figures...These are more of a my style concept (especially Malak) since I honestly have never been a big fan of either of these guys. Thanks for taking a look!" For not being a big fan he certainly did a fantastic job on these two. If these really strike your fancy you can even go to his eBay Page and add them to your custom collection!

Halnarth87 titles this one "I don't exist"...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, July 21 2014
I had a good laugh at that one. I will make more sense when you read this; "So I love this sculpey stuff. I was able to make an improved version of Sate Pestage with it. Too bad he and every other EU character I've made may no longer exist." Don't we know it HN87!

Darth Sinister presents a different point of view...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, July 21 2014
"Skipping ahead again to Issue#53 "The Last Gift From Alderaan!" and #54 "Starfire Rising" we meet an Imperial General Sk'ar. This was the first alien that we see as an Imperial Officer. The story, which is started in issue 53 was a recycled story. The art work was used from the newly canceled "John Carter Warlord Of Mars" series and Marvel felt the art was something that they didn't want to scrap so they had the regular Star Wars artists modify the work and create a story... issue #53 is that story." Its just a Star Wars History Lesson practically every day from DS!

And the prices soar on eBay for the new SDCC Exclusive...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, July 21 2014
I sure hope our buddy Dayton didn't pay the kind of prices we are currently seeing on eBay for the new Hasbro 6" SDCC Exclusive Jabba the Hutt Pack we just saw him review. It looks like the going rate is around $200 so far if you have deep enough pockets and just have to have it. Trust me I have been there for something I just had to have. It does make you wonder though, sometimes as a fan base, just how crazy we all are when it comes to something like this. If you are entering the bidding wars I wish you good luck!

Friend of ISY Sith_Fire 30 reviews the new SDCC Jabba Exclusive...

He has already gotten his hands on the new SDCC Exclusive Jabba the Hutt pack that comes with the hookah and a Crumb scaled for the 6" line. I must say I really enjoyed reading his review and looking at his pictures (he really knows his way around a camera). Matter of fact, a few weeks earlier he got his hands on the 6" Scout Trooper and Speederbike so be sure to look at that one too. Do you have a new figure or vehicle or Star Wars Item you would like to review for us? Take a look at the Imperial Review Section, read the guidelines, and write it up! The next button on the side of the page here could be yours!

Plot details revealed for Episode VII?
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, July 21 2014
My buddy Clint forwarded me an article that supposedly is sharing the general story line for the opening of Episode 7. If true, part of it has me intrigued, but I am having a hard time understanding that part about Han and Chewie. Remember nothing is known for sure, but its always fun to guess. And of course this whole news post is one massive SPOILER ALERT!

Sponsor Dorkside Toys lists the new REBELS Figures!
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, July 20 2014
From the first wave of REBELS to the first wave of REBELS Saga Legends (still trying to my head wrapped around that one) you can guarantee mint on card delivery right now! I don't know about you, but that type of piece of mind is just plain worth it. With the availability I seem to have with brick and mortar stores lately, its no wonder I just order from Dorkside and forget it. Good thing I have em as I might not be able to find that Saga Legends Snow Trooper anywhere else!

We announce the random winner of the latest EU Custom Challenge!
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, July 20 2014
What a great challenge, we had numerous customs across the broad range of what is now called Legendary EU. We hope all those EU Authors and Creators can take this as a small thanks for all their great work and creativity during the Dark Years when this was all we had to keep us going in our SW Verse. We also want to congratulate Starchaser whose name was pulled out of the cup yesterday by my gal and ker new kitty! He will be receiving the latest wave of the Black Series 3 and 3/4 inch figures!

Kualan is back with a new chapter of Tales From The Clone Wars!
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, July 20 2014
Its time for " Volume Four! Issue Three - Butcher of the Outer Rim. Enjoy!" Folks I don't know how to say enough about this great work of art. The story-line is superb. I won't give too much away, but lets just say Dooku and Grievous are up to no good. If you can give him a comment or two as this is just plain hard work that Kualan does just so we can enjoy ourselves more with Star Wars!

Darth Crassus creates a great 12" R2-D2...
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, July 20 2014
"Sideshow’s new Sixth-Scale R2-D2 looks great, but I can’t afford it. I repainted one of the old Hasbro 12’’ R2s. I made it specifically for use with the Sideshow Yoda’s Hut diorama, so there’s quite a bit of brown." I think he just might be onto something as his results are fantastic!

Boil some eggs the Custom Jedi way!
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, July 20 2014
"I learned a technique (might be old news to some) while I was working on Bubo that I thought I'd share. The chain I bought was a shiny, silver plated length of chain for jewelry making. Since it would not work as it was, I aged it without using harsh chemicals. The chain was placed in a sealed container with a hard-boiled egg yolk." It sure does make some sense as long as you keep it outside!

Siths Herald gives us some new artwork...

So I did." Meet Captain Curvy and Colonel Corpulent.

This is definitely one six inch offering I am gonna have to find even though I don't live anywhere near one of these stores. Walgreens has listed on their website and we will have to wait until next week and SDCC hits for us to find out how this going to be released to the general public and when folks can expect to see this in store.

New images of the next round of Black Series Figures...
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, July 20 2014
Thanks to Stephen Hayford we get a carded glimpse of the new Black Series 3 and 3/4 inch Luke Skywalker (Wampa Attack). I have to say I really like this new card style over what is out there right now (if we can't get the vintage line back that is). It looks to me so far to just be a bloody nose, but perhaps a Wampa is around the corner? Let us know what you think about this one in our forums!

Takeshi Inhaba gets his EU on for our latest Custom Challenge...
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, July 19 2014
Folks here is our very last entry to showcase for our Legendary EU Custom Challenge. Here we have a Mission Vao that I think looks great. Well you know what that means, tomorrow look for me to announce the random prize winner of the latest wave of Hasbro's Black Series 3 and 3/4 inch action figures. That also means our next custom challenge poll will not be far off so get your idea here!

Sjefke takes me back a few years...
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, July 19 2014
Anyone remember Charlie's Angels out there. I can remember that being one of the few shows our family could watch together as a kid. It had just enough action and soap opera to keep all parties satisfied. That being said, Sjefke has taken his latest ROTJ Jabba's Palace Gals and recreated their classic pose which was on the opening sequence for said old TV Sitcom. If you have not yet seen the magic he worked with these gals, I would click right in.

Starchaser keeps giving us great updates...
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, July 19 2014
He is back with three new custom figures just today! "For any that have read Dark Horse's "The Star Wars" here's a Sith Knight like the one featured in the first issue." That one might be my favorite out of the three, but they are all great.

Siths Herald is back!
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, July 19 2014
"I have a friend who is a big fan of Gonk droids. I had purchased this el cheapo jet fighter at Walmart with plan to make some kind of custom starfighter out of it. It came with a generator. I ended up goofing around with the generator instead of the jet, and build this aging Power Droid for my friend. Let me know what you think." Well I think it is absolutely fantastic and shows a ton of creativity and ingenuity. It never ceases to amaze me what the ISYers can come up with!

Custom Jedi is back with an update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, July 19 2014
"Even though his deco is on the boring side, this one still took me a while. I wanted to update BoShek while staying true to Hasbro's original effort in so much as was possible. While working on this one I realized BoShek was one of the first characters I attempted to customize, once in 1998 and again in 1999. I still had my second attempt, so I shot a comparison." I must say that newer version sure would sell like hotcakes if Hasbro were to ever revisit it. I am wanting to say it was last seen in the Power of the Jedi Line Up!

Most Wanted Collectibles still has some great SDCC items...
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, July 18 2014
Anyone remember the Gentle Giant SDCC Exclusive Boba Fett Mini-Bust from last year? Well MWC is still one of the places you can still get your hands on this now elusive item. I own one of these myself and really like it.

I know one thing, you definitely want to check out MWC's Gentle Giant Section as there are over 147 different items that I doubt you will find a better price on. They list GG items cheaper than the GG LTD Online Store! I am not asking how they do it, but I have ordered enough now to know I don't need to pinch myself too much.

Enjoy Episode 71 of Custom Action Figure News!
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, July 18 2014
We just had a blast last evening with Dayton Allen of Sith Fire 30 Customs. He has to be one of the most knowledgeable customizers out there. Grab your beverage of choice, kick back, and enjoy over 2 hours worth of awesome custom goodness he has been working on recently, listen to a tip or two about great products to use in your own customizing, and of course Chad and talk about current news and products of the day. I was actually able to contribute to Whats on the Pegs! As always we will have the mp3 link on our Archive Page should you wish to just listen to the audio version. Thanks again Dayton for another awesome sit-down. I look forward to hearing his thoughts on all the great new SDCC Previews we will get too soon!

Do you have any questions for Hasbro you want us to ask at SDCC?
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, July 18 2014
I am happy to report we are gonna try to get some questions in to the Hasbro Brand Team for San Diego Comic Con! We weren't able to lock down a confirmed time, but our Hasbro contacts are saying they will definitely make something happen! So what are your burning questions for the Big H? Post them here or on our Facebook Page and I will make sure to get them to our representative.

Update: Folks please check into the forum's thread to check on the guidelines so we can maximize our output in the short amount of time we will be able to talk with them. We know some topics just won't be touched. I don't like it any better than you do, but we want to get some real answers!

Darth Leere gets his EU on for the latest Custom Challenge...
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, July 18 2014
He is showing us a Ben Skywalker from around the Fate of the Jedi Series timeline. I must say this is pretty much how I envision Luke's son. He seems equally at home with a blaster as he does a lightsaber. Good stuff. I think Darth Leere's entry might be the last one to feature before we announce the random prize winner of Hasbro's latest Black Series Wave! Stay tuned, the next custom challenge poll is getting ready to be announced soon as well.

I-am-Boba-Fett is back with a new custom...
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, July 18 2014
I hinted at this Ancient Protocol Droid yesterday and just had to showcase him here. "Made this droid awhile back. Here is an ANCIENT PROTOCOL DROID that I envisioned being from the Old Republic days." If you really like him you can find out how you can add him to your collection.

Koth checks back in with an update...

It looks like he is into the fine paint details with these astro-mechs. Click on through to see his R2-CEII, Hoth Droid and R2-H5.

Jrny Fan creates the Death Star Doors!
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, July 18 2014
"This secondary Death Star set is for my Falcon shelf - which re-creates Kenobi's death scene. Manually sliding blast doors! Will be working a bit on the reverse side soon. Couldn't have fit this well into the big Death Star playset. Will spray-paint this since the the different pieces seem to have come out different colors." Looks fabulous to me. This is the great artist of the computer panels I showed you last night!

Darth Optimus adds a new custom to his Ghost Rider Forever Line...
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, July 18 2014
"Next up in my "Ghost Rider: Forever" line is a female Spirit of Vengeance. Elana Braum, the Lady Ghost Rider of 2050. Last blood relation to the Blaze GR. Medallion of Power activated within her after being assaulted and left for dead in an alleyway. Powers include: two enchanted chains, twin hellfire blasters, Penance Stare & powered-up Inferno Mode. Rides an old-fashioned mystic-powered chopper. The satchels on her thighs open into a "pocket universe" which she is able to keep her chains and blasters in." Oh yeah, count me hooked on this one!

Mando Assassin shows us two new customs...
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, July 18 2014
I am liking his Snow Heavy weapons trooper WindStalker. He is definitely packing some heavy firepower that could definitely take on a Droid Army or two.

Update: This one is now on eBay if you really like him.

Jason Isaacs to Voice Jedi Hunter in Star Wars REBELS...
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, July 17 2014
"In the upcoming Star Wars Rebels animated series, the Empire rules with an iron fist, spreading fear from world to world. Meanwhile, the few remaining Jedi are hunted across the galaxy -- and the cold, calculating Imperial Inquisitor is the hunter. Fully revealed in this new video, the Inquisitor recalls classic Star Wars villains but is also distinct in many ways. According to Lucasfilm’s Pablo Hidalgo, the Inquisitor is not a Sith, though he does wield a red lightsaber and taps into the dark side." Click here for the full story.

Barmic Rin gets his EU on for our latest Custom Challenge...
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, July 17 2014
Like I said before I have really enjoyed seeing the EU Goodness with our latest challenge. The next entry we want to feature is this great EU Custom Darth Vetous, Sith inquisitor from the old republic era. Just a few more entries and then will will be announcing the winner of the random prize drawing! I would also be remiss if I didn't thank all the customizers who got in their entries!

BDC41866 gives Big Padawan's Customs an update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, July 17 2014
"Ok folks pretty nice sized update this time. Finally had a couple quality days off from work (quiet time). If you ever need any inspiration, SWTOR is a great source as there are so many different character models and settings to use as a starting point. Also Ive been watching The Clone Wars on Netflix...great stuff there too." I couldn't agree more on a quality use of time off!

I-am-Boba-Fett is back with a new update already...
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, July 17 2014
"Here are a few multi angle pics of a new head sculpt that I am working on. This is RAYNO VACA, a Tarnab seen in the Star Wars Prequel movies. I should have this finished soon then I will make a mold and then cast up some new head copies of this." There is also an Ancient Protocol droid in there for you to peruse so please scroll around.

Darth Streams gets his EU on twice for the latest custom challenge...
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, July 17 2014
He has created just an awesome Odan-Urr that really shows great implementation of soft goods. I am telling you there is really a lot of EU love out there and it really has shown through with our latest EU Challenge. Don't worry we have just a few more to showcase until we announce our random drawing for the newest wave of Hasbro Black Series Action Figures!

Mando Assassin checks back in...
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, July 17 2014
It has been awhile since we have seen this customizer so it was nice to see him back with a great SW DC Arrow Cross-Over among others. He also seems to have come across some great JOE fodder recently so it will be awesome to see what he does with that too!

Starchaser starts up a Custom Figures Thread...
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, July 17 2014
It was nice to meet this customizer as he entered in a great EU Figure for our latest challenge and I was glad to see he started up a custom figures thread. "I've a few customs in the works, and I've built a few over the past couple of years. I like to provide back-stories for my customs, unless they are based on an already identified character. Here is my first installation of customs."

Darth Sinister gives us a quick update..
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, July 17 2014
"Just a quick update to the thread. I realized that I had never posted my entries in the Kit-Bash contest from a while ago so here they are...The idea was to fill out some background characters for my last contest entry, Borga the Hutt. He was in desperate need of a menagerie so we went to work and set our goal for ten thugs." I am really liking this Rodian Character, but just a ton of overall great work.

Custom Creator checks back in with an Action Box...
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, July 17 2014
"Not sure who remembers, but I started doing these a while back. Made a Halo themed one for Dozer, and then it kind of dropped off, not many people seemed interested. Then came Facebook. I posted my Halo one and got an e-mail from a kid in California who wanted a box somewhat related to this picture." Folks as you can see by the picture above his Thanos Action Box lights up! I like this a good bit.

Sjefke is back with a new ROTJ update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, July 17 2014
He is really showing such dedication to detail this time out. I really have to admit this update is such a treasure as it shows you how he lengthened up the legs as well as worked with a great fabric to make here pants! "Jess is a Human female dancer in Jabba's palace, who hung close to Bib Fortuna. Draw your own conclusions but Lucas apparently deleted a scene with the pair, because it was a little too racy for the kiddies." Well the custom sure isn't too racy for me. Nice work Sjefke!

Yodasnews.com shows us some Rebels Saga Legends 3 3/4″ Figures Carded and Loose...
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, July 17 2014
"Yodasnews.com gets an exclusive first look at 12 new figures from the Rebels Saga Legends line (we are told that is the official name of the line). Some non-rebels figures will not have the word “Rebels” under the Star Wars logo and will have a “from” on the bottom right indicating the movie they are from." I have to admit so far I am not really excited. This 5 POA stuff is killing me!
