The official site is going down memory lane and bringing up some great toys I have forgotten about. Evidently this Kenner X-Wing Aces game was pretty much a copy of an earlier released WWI bomber shooter application and they just slapped some new paint and stickers on it to make it Star Wars. LOL, not much has changed!

I know I am making the thumbnails a bit bigger than usual, but I am simply blown away by the custom work we are seeing on the Yards lately. I just don't know how it gets any better, but it does!

Dark Horse Comics will release Star Wars books for Apple's iPhone and iPod Touch devices soon.

Three series based on the Star Wars franchise will be available via iTunes. Another saga, Star Wars Legacy: Broken will run for two issues, taking place over a century after Return Of The Jedi, while Shipyards of Doom will expand the Clone Wars saga.

Help Hasbro fight Lou Gehrig's disease

Gianni Lopergolo, the photographer who has been the creative genius behind Hasbro's impressive photo displays, was diagnosed with ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease, three years ago and is no longer able to work. "Insight," a 128 page book of Gianni's Hasbro photography will be available at Comic-Con and then July 27th to the general public. Proceeds will go to the National ALS Association and a private fund established for Gianni's three young sons.

I had eagerly anticipated the release of the Dark Horse series regarding the invasion of the Yuuzahn Vong. However, it seems to be getting pretty low reviews so far. Well, depending on whom you believe, the new live action TV show has cast its first writer: Australian TV producer and writer John Edwards. Evidently Rick McCallum, Lucas' longtime producer, has approached the Aussie TV industry for some of its top talent to help write the shows and has also hinted that Boba Fett plays a prominent role in said show. We are gonna have to hit up our loveable Aussie to see what he knows about John Edwards!

George picks the Best Fan Flick!

The 22 finalists for the 2009 Star Wars Fan Movie Challenge have been announced, an annual contest honoring the best Star Wars Fan related short films. Since 2000, Lucasfilm has been partnering with the popular YouTube-style video site Atom for the Star Wars Fan Movie Challenge. Past winners have included Chad Vader, Star Wars Gangsta Rap, Star Wars Revelations, and Pink Five.

Yep, no joke. He created a great swoop using the Transformer Knock Out and doing a bit of dismantling and painting. It turned out as a fantastic droid swoop for his Mando gal. Thanks for the update Spud.
