Big Padawan Customs is back!
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, June 30 2015
"Time for a couple new kitbashes. The first is an Old Republic Jedi Sentinel...Really enjoyed putting her together and the final product. The second is a background Advozse mercenary that took all of an hour to put together. Easy peezy but this guy has character."

It just goes to show you folks that you don't have to go crazy with sculpting and paint to get some really great looking new action figures. Sometimes simple works the best!

JDeck continues his Kashyyyk Dio...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, June 30 2015
"I continued work on my Kashyyyk trooper dio. It looks better with some jungle plants thrown on. I made them with preserved fern leaves. I bunched them together twisted it and glued it down. I think it looks better than the expensive plastic aquarium stuff. I did the same on my AT-ST Assault dio but in a smaller scale. I have a few more types of plants coming in soon to give a greater biodiversity. In the next couple days I'm adding some mud puddles with WS Realistic water."

It sure looks like he is getting there to me. The realism he is bringing to his dioramas is nothing short of amazing.

Mandalore25 gives us a new Sith...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, June 30 2015
"I have another one already. Darth Azard! Loving this one, made molds of the Savage Opress, and Darth Krayt shoulder pads for him, but sculpt the proper spikes on the krayt one. Heated up, and curved his double sided saber. I tried to make him as close to the character as possible, hope you guys like him. And if anyone is interested."

He sure does look spot on with the comic image he used as a reference. I also think he looks pretty tough. Who doesn't need more Sith Lords in their collection?

Koth sends in an update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, June 29 2015
"I've taken a break for John, Paul, Ringo and George to enjoy the Build a Droid figures sent to me recently from Disney. Did you know I love astromechs? Any way, here are a few heads I've been working on. Bodies to follow."

Looks great to me. And with that folks I do believe I am finally all caught up on the custom figure updates during my absence. Like I said it was great to see some faces from the past and I can only imagine what goodness we will see in the future from all these talented artists!

I-am-Boba-Fett shows us a great take on 2-1B...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, June 29 2015
"Here's a custom FIELD MEDIC DROID 2-1Bfm figure that I made last year. Super poseable figure with binoculars and a jetpack. Weathered paint job too. He is in scale with all 3 3/4" to 4" tall figures. He is for sale here."

Folks that is just a fantastic idea for a Medic Droid. The ideas that IABF comes up with are just fantastic!

Bronxstalker is back with 3 new projects...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, June 29 2015
"3 more completed projects. One is a 4" spec ops Mandalorian and the others are 6" Cyclops and Deadpool."

He also has 3 eBay Auctions set up for them or you can click this link to see all the he has up for grabs right now!

Jaya is back with a great update too...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, June 29 2015
It is great to see so many customizers back after being gone for a week. I don't know if its summer break or what, but there has just been a huge custom figure infusion here at the Yards. I must say I really enjoyed seeing Jaya's Sith Lords and Mandalorians.

Star Alien 70 is back with a Mara Jade fix...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, June 29 2015
"Comparison of original TBS Mara Jade and the modified head I have done. With this I pulled off the hair, cut away some of the top underside hair, then repainted the features on the face and glued the hair back on. Hope you like."

Well I sure do! It looks like a totally different figure with that fix. There is also a great looking Pilot Luke in there to peruse too.

Mr. Jedi 1977 is back with a great update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, June 29 2015
"Hello again so in addition to the ugnaughts I thought I would try some ewoks and I have to say I had fun with these. The first one is just an upgraded Ooche. There are more ewoks being made and will be added soon. Enjoy!"

Well I know I sure did enjoy his updates so make sure you scroll around folks!

Butterfingers is back with a huge update!
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, June 29 2015
"It's been a really long time since I've posted anything on my thread. I've been working on couple customs during that time, but just didn't have the time to post with school and work.

I'm on summer break for a few weeks before I have to head back to return to my studies. Since I've got more time, I decided to update you all with some of my projects. There are a bunch of photos so hope you all don't get overwhelmed.

To start it off, here is an unfinished TCW Style RC Gregor. (Over the past two or three years, I've been trying to sculpt a TCW RC figure on a normal TCW clone trooper. This is the first time that I liked the sculpt that I came up with and painted it up.
The helmet was casted from shipyard member CloneHead (excellent casts). There are some minor differences with the actual TCW concept mainly with the knee, leg, and bicep area armor. Still need to come up with a way to create the backpack and paint his hair brown."

Folks, this is just a drop in a huge custom figures update.

Mandalore25 is back with a new Sith...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, June 29 2015
"I posted his WIP a long time ago, but just got around to finishing him the other day. My proper height, and I think more accurate Darth Malak is complete. The pectoral area is a bit plain, and I forgot to attach the cape before sculpting the neck piece to his mechanical jaw. Other than those flaws I feel I represented the character far better than Hasbro's Malak, and he's come a long way since he started as Drax. The more I look at the Hasbro interpretation(?) the more I feel they used no reference picture and were just given a description. His Mechanical Jaw comes off, made a mold of the Hasbro one and got it around the head before it finished setting, complete with the inside mechanics sculpted on. The lightsaber is also connected by magnets for added fun.

I listed him here if anybody is interested."

There is a lot more to see in his custom updates so be sure to scroll around!

JDeck shows us more of his AT-ST Kashyyyk Assault Dio...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, June 29 2015
"Making progress on my Kashyyyk dio. Again I made the tree from aluminium foil and tissue paper. The foil I think works great you get a lot of detail and its mailable. I also made the sand from fine sand plus PVA glue. Also painted and added jungle side soil, made from same stuff as my dagobah dio. Just need my jungle plants and figures and I'm good to go."

I would agree with that sentiment.

Darth Daddy is back with a REBELS Update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, June 28 2015
"In anticipation of tomorrow night's Season 2 premiere of Star Wars Rebels, we performed a quick head swap with the Kanan Jarrus head and the Stormtrooper Commander head to make the version of Kanan that was on display in the Season Two trailer. We then hollowed out the bucket with our Dremel so he could wear it. It was a quick custom that helped us thin out our huge pile of Kanan Jarrus action figures that were accumulating around the house."

As you can see I am a little late with the update (I have been out of town for a little over a week), but it sure is a great custom action figure for Kanan. I need to go see that new REBELS premier too. I hope my DVR got it!

Have you seen Warsaw's Modified AT-DP?
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, June 28 2015
"I started working on this modified AT-DP vehicle in October of 2014 and hope to add it to a small diorama. Some weeks I put less than an hour into this custom and other weeks I managed to work a few hours on it. The drawing that the AT-DP from Star Wars: Rebels is based on was designed by Joe Johnston during production of The Empire Strikes Back. It was one of my favorites in the old ESB Sketchbook but I never thought I'd see it come to life about 35 years later in an animated series, let alone a Hasbro toy. I was disappointed that Hasbro had to utilize hallow legs for the toy, so I covered the legs up with styrene and added other greeblies and fodder pieces to create a modified design."

Hands down folks this is one of the best Hasbro refits I have seen. I keep hoping we will see more work from this outstanding customizer. I can only imagine what he could do for the new Hasbro AT-AT too.

Dan reviews a castle...
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, June 28 2015
"I received the Schleich Big Knights' Castle currently on clearance at Toys R Us for $99.99 (regular retail was $149.99) as a belated birthday present. As usual with Schleich, it is an impressive playset/diorama. It is, however, much different in construction than the earlier gray Knights' Castle that I picked up multiples of on clearance."

You know how thorough Dan is with his reviews so make sure you click in to read more.

JDeck has some great six inch updates...
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, June 28 2015
"Well I'd say the dio is pretty much done I might work on the figures a little more. Basically its a blue-foam base I sculpted with a knife and a lighter. The snow is Spackle I got at the dollar tree, 1/3 the price I usually pay. To top off the snow I used baking soda, if its good enough for ILM its damn sure good enough for me. The ice was made from silicone goo the kind you use on bathtubs. That's it real simple stuff."

Wow, I sure do like his definition of simple and what a great look for this latest deluxe offering from Hasbro. Folks, make sure you scroll around as there is a great Bandai AT-ST build as well as a new Trooper Dio in the works.

Ajunta Pall is making Mandos...
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, June 28 2015
"Real quick here's another Mando I did along with the one above...Many more Mandos coming up...Stay tuned."

He is also showing us some sculpt work on a Blue Gal Mando I thought was pretty nice too. Personally, I don't think you can have enough Mandalorians in your action figure collection.

Ron Hembling finishes his Sullust Trooper...
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, June 27 2015
"I finally got the weathering done and got my usual outdoor pics done so enjoy guys.

Trooper - is from Bandai and has been built straight out of the box. For the back pack I used plastic card and the tube is from a Madelman scuba diver and the bracket and the front breathing apparatus is plastic card.

Base - is two Bandai Stormtrooper stands glued together then plastic card strips glued around the sides. The stone has been made using high density foam which I broke nad cut up till I got the desired look.

Once I got the look I wanted I then made cracks using a led pencil and model knife, I then used a piece of sand stone and pushed it into the foam to give it a more stone texture to it."

It is easy to see why I always make sure I click in to see Ron's Update. You marvel at the work, but he also explains how he achieves his stellar results!

Custom Creator is back with an update on his Garage Dio...
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, June 27 2015
"Still working on this one (I've been real lazy/busy for a while). Anyway, onto the pictures."

I must say it looks extremely realistic to me!

Stan is back with an TESB Update...

"Latest custom to compliment General Rieekan , the gun holster is from the Rebel Tech."

I am really liking his Major Bren Derlin. He looks like he is fully super-articulated now.

Custom Jedi finishes his Rieekan...
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, June 27 2015
"General Rieekan is comprised of three figures. The torso, head, hands, upper legs and boots (spats) all come from the original figure. The neck peg, knees/lower legs, ankles/feet are from Medical Frigate Luke and the arms are from a Hoth Han figure.

I'll replace the boots if I happen to end up with an extra set of Hoth shoes somewhere down the line. Other than that I'm somewhat pleased with him."

I would be pretty pleased too. He really looks great and the range of movement also looks phenomenal.

Gurt shows us new Jedi work...
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, June 27 2015
"Thanks for the encouragement, everyone. Yes, I am mostly a basher, working on my sculpting, not sure if my painting will ever work out. Here are some more Alien Race Jedi/Padwan figs."

I think he may be being a bit hard on himself about his painting, but he sure does like to create a lot of nice Jedis!

Mandalore25 is back with a new Sith...
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, June 18 2015
"Was bored with all the human parts I have, so I made one into this Sith Pureblood last night, and used a pleather I bought to work on figures with. I like the material a lot, a little thick, but nice texture, can't wait to use it on more figures. He's listed here if anybody is interested."

I-am-Boba-Fett is back...
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, June 18 2015
"Made this awhile back for a customer who commissioned it but I forgot to share pics of this figure here. This is a custom SAARAI, a female Sith apprentice and the daughter of Darth Wyyrlok as seen in the Star Wars Legacy comics. This figure features an all new custom exclusive resin cast head and torso molded from the originals that I sculpted. The blue force effects in her hands are custom resin cast pieces molded in blue then painted with blue paint for more highlights. She has a soft goods skirt and the straps on her legs are all measured and cut vinyl pieces put in place and glued by hand."

Seems like he covered all the angles on this one!

Star Alien 70 shows us his version of Hoth Luke...
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, June 18 2015
"Hi, thanks again for your feedback, I really do appreciate it. Luke in Hoth Gear: I did this modified Hoth hat recently, as I didn't think much of either TVC or TBS versions of the Luke heads. Hope you like it."

Well I know I sure like it. Man, sometimes soft goods can be used to really enhance a figure, like in this case!

JDeck updates us on his new mudhole...
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, June 18 2015
"A few more pics in a different light after it dried. I also added his snake to the dio. I made a few other subtle changes that was to my liking."

I think it looks awesome. You just gotta love Dagobah!

Star Wars --- The Clone Wars

Oasis Calm: Volume III

"We become whatever we are committed to."

The sand ridden haze hurled itself against the lightly shielded Arquiten cruiser, the Regulator. Its savage gusts remained muted inside the cockpit, however, thunderous clatters of every loose panel inside the ship rattled continuously during the descent. Fear was entirely absent from the deck. Regardless if troopers had their eyes closed or honed into a piercing, fixed gaze; all transformed the fledgling emotion into a sharp focus. Aayla Secura’s crisp blue eyes looked to her left, her body bouncing amid the turbulence. Initially many scoffed at the idea of harnesses for a ship of this size, but when used for rapid insertions, they were all but necessary."

Folks that is just the first paragraph!

Gurt gives us a how to on his awesome Jedi...
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, June 18 2015
"Thanks for the comments, you guys are great. Jedi Alien 5 seems to be the figure most folk like, see attached picture for a breakdown. Red Faction Creeper figure from Gamestars is the base figure. Popped head, hands and feet. Cut pegs from arms and drill holes for Gha Nachkt hands. Cut off pegs for feet and realign for 90 degrees (so the figure can stand up, and not be on all 4s) and re-attach feet."

Sounds like a great way to get a great looking Alien Jedi!

Star Wars Rebels Special One-Hour Movie Event (This Saturday)!
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, June 18 2015
"The Rebels return to Lothal to save a defecting Imperial officer, only to draw the attention of the Empire’s most dreaded agent - Darth Vader. The highly anticipated "Star Wars Rebels" season two is set to premiere on SATURDAY, JUNE 20 (9:00 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney XD. The season will kick-off with a special one-hour movie event "Star Wars Rebels: The Siege of Lothal." Following the one-hour movie event, the season will continue to rollout new episodes in the fall."

Sounds good to me. It will be great to see Vader on screen again!

Bronxstalker is back with a new Mando...
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, June 17 2015
"Here's a custom that I was commissioned to work on, of a mandalorian named Vevec. He's another one that I'm not familiar with, since I don't read the comics.

He came out pretty close to the reference images he sent me, but I weathered him up in your typical mandalorian war torn fashion. I hope he likes it. I think he came out really nice. Lots of sculpting modifications to get him to look like the reference images."

I like the color scheme on this one!

Spuda Fett finishes his Swoop Rider...

Ron Hembling shows progress on his Sullust Project...
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, June 17 2015
"Here are a few pics of the Sullust Trooper and base. The whole thing is 90% complete I just have to do just a little weathering to the stone and Troopers back pack and it will be done."

Doesn't this one look great! I think his customer will be very happy with this purchase.

Ajunta Pall uses stick shock to make a great Custom Ahsoka...
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, June 17 2015
"So today I got tired of my scrawny bony Ahsoka Tano figs, went online and tried to purchase a new more articulated more grown up Ahsoka fig. To my surprise they were expensive as (choose your expletive). Loose they were $98 on evil bay and carded like $150 smhw I was not about to spend that much money on this fig...

So long story short, I just customized one for myself. I got a lot of inspiration from concept art and i really liked the new Ahsoka "Fulcrum" Tano figure from SW Rebels, I just wished the 3.75" fig had some soft goods and articulation like the 6" concept I've seen. So here is what I came up with. Hope you like...

My custom AHSOKA "FULCRUM" TANO ( aged between Clone wars and Rebels)"

I think we can all understand how sticker shock can force one to make other plans. I like his new version.

Clone Crazy is back with a new chapter...
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, June 17 2015
He is showings us Will of the Force: KOTOR #2 Desperate Times. It looks like Bastila is on the run from the Sith Empire and is getting tangled up with a Mandalorian Crusader to boot. Although it seems some ole friends are looking for her as well. Trust me, there is plenty of action in store for the reader!

One For Your Stormtrooper Bucket List...

Gurt joins ISY and shows us his customs...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, June 16 2015
"Howdy, Started customizing just over a year ago, here are some of my figures. Some non-custom figures included as part of same alien race, not trying to pretend. My painting stinks, working on that. Any feedback?"

Well I sure like what I see so far. Welcome to the Yards Gurt!

Spuda Fett updates us on his Challenge Entry...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, June 16 2015
"Progress, please excuse the crappy images... I'll take better ones in my light box when I'm done. Also made him a custom blaster. The sight of which can rotate up or down. It'll be down to be holstered.

I'll be making a custom set of straps and holster for this guy to match the original toy's look. The helmet isn't perfect... but it's pretty good for not having done any sculpting in months and not having anything to look at other than low quality internet images of the original figure (I can't find mine anywhere!)"

I would say it looks pretty good too. Speaking of the latest Custom Challenge, click here to see what our current theme is!

JDeck starts a 6" Dagobah Dio...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, June 16 2015
"Begun the Dagobah diorama I have. I'm going to build this Dagobah dio depicting Yoda lifting Luke's X-wing. Obviously I started my base with blue foam. Tomorrow I'll make some "muck" using a mixture of real dirt, water, paint, woodland scenic turf and white glue. If I have time I'll work on the Gnarltree roots/trunk. So stick around for that."

Stick around we will. I like the looks of this so far. I have to say I don't think I have seen a diorama of this particular movie scene and I am looking forward to it.

Ajunta Pall shares a new TCW Update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, June 16 2015
"Next up is my Commander Doom WIP. I figured I should make him as well since he and Tup where both featured in the same episode of clone wars se4 ep20. This was very fun to make. Besides I missed the black series release of these figures at my tru and really wanted Doom rex and wolffe. Hope you guys enjoy."

Well I know I personally went online to get mine myself, but I like his version of Doom too! Scroll up to see his CT-5385 "Tup" from the 501st legion too.

Spuda Fett gives us a 6" Special Ops Trooper...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, June 15 2015
"Special Operations Trooper. Highly trained and specialized. Sent into the field with more gear than the standard storm trooper...Black series 6 inch scale. Mashup of parts from scout trooper, storm trooper, and the boots of a tie pilot."

I like the parts mash up. He looks pretty tough to me!

Stan is back with more customs...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, June 15 2015
"Finished off 2-1B, lighten him up, and yes the knees does have articulation. Big thanks to Custom Jedi for the inspiration."

It is great to see some of my favorite TESB Characters getting some much needed updating. Hasbro take some notes! I want a 2-1B that moves!

Mandalore25 is back with a Mando update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, June 15 2015
"Had a productive day today, finished three figures. Lets focus on two for now, I'll post anupdate on the other later. Anyway, I made two Mandalorians, to get in the mood for my Basalisk War Droid I'm making for the scratch build competition. The first is a female mandalorian that I sculpt the armor on, and made the jetpack attach by magnets. Really love the way she turned, I think the purple is really cool. The other is a clone wars mandalorian jedi, but not too thrilled with his look, mostly because the black is supposed to be a deep brown.. His lightsaber is connected by magnets as well for an easy switch from double to singles.

If anybody is interested in the female: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Custom-Star-Wars-Female-Mandalorian-3-75in-scale-figure-sith-jedi-EU-/351426729178?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item51d2aa54da

If interested in the male: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Custom-Star-Wars-Clone-Wars-Jedi-Mandalorian-3-75in-scale-figure-sith-EU-/351426749950?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item51d2aaa5fe"

It is good to see him around!

Dorkside Toys stocks the new Revoltech Boba Fett!
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, June 14 2015
"Equipped with his custom blaster rifle, blaster pistol, and several spare hands, the legendary Mandalorian warrior is 5.90" (15cm) tall and extremely pose-able (20 points of articulation!) for all kinds of action. He also comes with four swap out hands and a clear support arm that plugs into his jetpack for airborne poses. This is approximately in scale with 1/6th Scale Star Wars Hasbro Black Series Collectibles."

Folks this is one quality collectible. I am leery to start collecting new lines due to money, space, and space, but this is one outstanding action figure. It looks like it will stand on its' head. Leave it to Dorkside Toys to add the best quality Star Wars Lines to their site. I highly recommend looking at their entire Star Wars Section and I doubt you will get through it without an add to cart!

"Work work and...more work...Oh well Im back. Rediscovered Skyrim along the way. New custom time...this is one version of one of my SWTOR characters...a Mirialan Force sensitive bounty hunter named Shaesa Pinnar. Hope you like. More to come."

I really enjoy the mix he has come up with for this one. I like the sound of more to come too!

Gold Leader One is back with a new Rebel Pilot...
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, June 14 2015
"Continuing on with some of the 'old' EU pilots from video games, here is my custom figure of "Rookie One" from the PC games Rebel Assault and Rebel Assault II: The Hidden Empire. I have never played those games but have always been intrigued by the character. This custom of Rookie One is based on the second installment of the game from the cutscenes, as in the first game you could customize your character as male or female. In Rebel Assault II they established Rookie One as male, and had real life cut scenes."

Make sure you hit the aforementioned link to see his full recipe. He sure does like his Rebel Pilots!

Custom Jedi shows us his joint work!
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, June 14 2015
"I've completed a base coat on the arms after testing my new skill (joint shaving/sanding).

Though I've known about the merits of sanding joints to combat paint rub, I've always been too lazy to do it. Now that I know which Dremel bit to use, I will not skip this step again. In fact, I'm going back and redoing the joints on some of my completed figures."

Oh yeah, looks good to me. I hope he shows us what dremel bit he used and perhaps how he was able to achieve such great results!

Ron Hembling is back with a new Stormtrooper...
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, June 14 2015
"Well while waiting for more material to arrive for a commission piece I'm the customer asked would a Sullust Trooper from the new SW battlefront that is coming be possible. I looked at the pics he sent me and told him not a problem.

I have attached the first pic to show what ref I went off.

The Sullust Trooper is the Bandai Trooper and I made the back pack out of plasti-card and an old tube from a 1/12 scuba diver figure. The resus piece is plasti-card and 1/35 scale parts and the rest of the back pack I just winged it,

The base so far has been made out of base from the Bandai Trooper and the stone is high density foam and the lava so far is Woodland Scenics Water Effects and once dry it will come clear then I will paint it then add more water effects on top and once dry it will give it that hot lave effect."

Its always great to see a new project from Ron!

JDeck finishes his Bespin Diorama...

"I finished my Chewbacca Bespin Escape diorama today. Bespin is my favorite Star wars location, the stark white and art deco is pretty cool. This is my first 6" Bespin dio, but it won't be my last."

Well I for one am glad to hear that. This just turned out fantastic in each area.

"Oasis Calm: Volume II

"The way you think determines the way you feel, and the way you feel influences the way you act."

Journeying through space was always a dangerous venture during the Clone Wars. Unknown threats lurking unseen in the distance, camouflaged by nebulas, or amidst space debris. In hyperspace, however, the Arquitens cruiser known as the Regulator glided effortlessly. While cruising at such incredible speeds, the ship's triad of engines lightly hummed. Every view port emanated a beautiful cerulean blue glow of the hyperspace lane. The crew and troopers aboard the vessel laughed as they reveled in this brief opportunity, but one presence wasn't so easily at peace."

That is just the start of the chapter folks!

Spuda Fett is back on the wagon!
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, June 14 2015
"Wow...It's been a long while since I had action figures on my table... 4 months...That hiatus is broken.

I'm working on something cool for the contest, and I'm taking a concept that was begun by user Krztfr... using 6" figure parts to re-create a modernized version of the Shadows of the Empire swoop bike rider... then once I have the figure completed I plan on scratch building a 6" scale swoop bike!

So here's what I've been up to."

It is great to see him back and working on new stuff. Folks, you really need to take a look at this new post as he shows you what you need to do and be ready to do if you are going to tear apart six inch figures.

I think he looks fantastic. I can see some other fantastic customs lurking in what looks to me to be an equally fantastic Jabba's Palace Diorama.

Star Wars The Black Series Emperor Palpatine 6 Inch Figure only $17 bucks on Amazon!

It looks like there are some great deals to be had on Amazon.com for three and three quarter inch and some six inch figures like the new six inch Emperor for way less than regular price. It is hard to wonder why I am paying regular retail price when it seems Amazon will sell these for three, four, or even more dollars cheaper than regular price sometimes even before they even list at regular retail or etailers. Oh well, doesn't make sense, but hey go save yourself some deniro while I ponder the state of action figure retail.

JDeck shows progress on his 6" Bespin Dio...
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, June 11 2015
"Hello Yarders, I made Chewbacca's C3PO net today out of a fishnet stocking. Looks better than the alternatives. It stretches well making the holes as big as I want. Its a nice weave, works pretty well.

As far as the Dio, I'm almost finished just need to add some details and what not. I figured I'd unveil it when I'm finished instead of showing my WIP since I'm so close."

It sure would be cool to get a Hasbro version of this wouldn't it! JDeck is really showing you how fun customizing the six inch line can be.

-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, June 9 2015
"While I was doing Sim Aloo along with some other works in progress that I'll post here in a few days, I also put together this GRAND ADMIRAL THRAWN & YSALAMR."

Make sure you scroll up and see his great Sim Aloo too. I really like it when I see folks create work once inspired by another customizer like the Sim Aloo in this case inspired by Stan. I was so hoping our villian in the new set of movies was going to be Thrawn, alas that wasn't to be!

Darth Daddy is back with an update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, June 9 2015
"This was a quick custom made with the head of the Sandstorm Lando, lower arms of Bom Vimdim, and the Lando Calrissian - Smuggler Outfit action figure that Hasbro put out in 2007. The only paint needed was on the neck and lower arms. We had the parts available so we felt like adding this version of Lando to the collection."

This sure does remind me of the version of him I remember in the movies. It looks like he has great articulation to me too.

Star Alien 70 shows us some Rebel Pilots...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, June 9 2015
"Hi, thanks again for all the positive comments. Here's some figures I did a while ago - bit of a departure from the Cantina."

He has really created one interesting Luke Pilot from his transition from medical bay to pilot with some cold weather gear to match. It sure makes a lot of sense to me.

Custom Jedi is still in the Hoth Groove too...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, June 8 2015
"Still in my Hoth groove as I work towards wrapping up my photo story. I decided to test my skills by doing an update on General Rieekan."

You definitely won't hear me complaining about adding arty to a 5 point. It is going to be things like this that keep most of us in the game. I for one will never settle for 5 POA!

Stan is back with some SA Hoth Goodness...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, June 8 2015
"Just finished off another custom of Hoth, General Rieekan. Legs and arms from Hoth Han! Hobbie is new as well, he can be seen in the background!"

You folks now how much I like Hoth. Looks like a pretty cool Hoth Rebel Troop Transport in the background too.

Square Enix Play Arts Kai vaults into Dorkside Toys' Line Up!
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, June 7 2015
"Darth Maul vaults into Enix's Variant Play Arts Kai lineup. He's got more armor plating than usual, dramatically swirling robes, an extra facial expression with a really nasty grin, as well as three lightsabers: his double-bladed one, and another one that's split in half so he can use one in each hand. He also has extra hands and a stand. Don't miss out on this iconic villain! "

Folks don't miss out on the Square Enix Play Arts Kai Star Wars Variant 10 Inch Darth Maul Action Figure as he just looks like an articulated and sculpted wonder. Leave it to Dorkside Toys to add great new Star Wars Lines to their already fantastic offerings.

Ron Hembling starts a new 6" Sandtrooper Diorama...
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, June 7 2015
"While I'm working on a commission piece and letting the putty dry I decided to start on my 6" Look Sir Droids diorama and thought that I would show some WIP of the layout.

The escape pod is the one I built a few months back and I have used packing foam for the base and will be using plaster cloth to strengthen and build up the base.

I used my converted Bandai Stormtroopers as reference as I will be using Hasbro's Sandtroopers as this will be a static diorama."

It already looks over the top. Expect to get another update soon.

Ajunta Pall is back with a new Sith Update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, June 7 2015
"Ya know ever since I got the Darth Plagueis the wise fig and started listening to the audio book about Plagueis I've wanted a Darth tenebrous. I figured hasbro would never make him so thought I should just make him myself. I knew he was a bith so I looked through my collection for Figrin D'an and the Modal Nodes cantina band figures. No luck. So months went by and it wasn't until I was working on Vergere until I realised I could easily sculpt his head myself from scratch. He looks like a stereotypical alien ( a grey to be exact) to me. So here it goes."

I like the look of him. We always need more Sith.

JDeck decides on his 6" Dio...
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, June 7 2015
"I bought this Bandai C3PO, and it is awesome! I know what I did to it could be considered sac religious but I had to, it's one of my favorite versions of him in the entire Saga. Threepio and Chewie are hilarious together. I added a bunch of wires and tubes to his torso and arm nub, then weathered it a little. I even put the little blast hole in his chest with a hot nail poked from the inside. Not quite finished with him. I need to make his cargo net to go on Chewie, I think I'll end up using a fishnet stocking toe.I don't like the netting I have. So it looks like I'm building a Bespin dio, stay tuned for more."

Sounds like a no-brainer to me. Very cool JDeck!

Gold Leader One finds a way to fill in some Astro-Mech Gaps...
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, June 7 2015
"Someone on Rebelscum told me to look on ebay for the new Build-A-Droids being released by Disney. They aren't named so you have to scroll a bit until you find the one you're looking for. It's basically R2-Q2, it has the same paint job. These droids are also missing the wires on the feet. They also have a droid who is basically R5-K6 (Red Leader's droid).

Guys, if you missed out on those droids, head over to ebay. This cost me about 20 bucks but it beats what the originals are going for which is $50-60+ on ebay. If you don't care about having the originals, this is a fine replacement.

Talk about a ton of great astro-mech choices to choose from. I agree it sure beats spending $50 or more for some of those exclusive astro-mechs too.

Get your daughter some I am Elemental Action Figures!
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, June 6 2015
Since Dan previewed these at Toy Fair this February I have really been intrigued by this new action figure line. As an action figure collector trying to promote this hobby to my daughter has been a downright chore with their really being limited action figures for girls, many of which do not portray women in a good light.

Well Dan sent me some promotional material a few weeks back and my daughter has been relentless in her pursuit of getting some of these. Well I rewarded her this past week with a set of them and she hasn't let them out of her sight since we opened the box. Folks, if you have daughters introduce them to I Am Elemental you will not be sorry.

Be sure to get them from site sponsor Big Bad Toy Store as well. They will ship them to you right so you get them in wonderful shape!

Look for me and my daughter to review these in the future. Trust me she is putting them through their paces and they have held up wonderfully!

Hasbro Toy Shop lists the newest Black Series Wave...

We finally see what I am calling the Clone Commander Wave for the Black Series. I am mainly an TESB Collector, but I just had to get these new Clones as well as Chewbacca and that new Vader. At $13 a figure I can't say I was overjoyed with the new price, but at least you get free shipping on orders over $50.

JDeck is getting into 6" Customizing...
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, June 6 2015
"I started getting into the 6" line usually I just keep them in package, but this Chewy I wanted to customize him for The Empire Strikes Back look. I just added some different washes and pastel chalk highlights, for subtle variations of color. I think in TESB chewy was a little greyer than ANH, meybe even a little longer, not sure what it is but it seems different somehow. In the next week or so I'll be building a dio including another custom figure, so stay tuned."

Looks great to me! I am looking forward to what he is going to do for his diorama.

Star Alien 70 shows us more of his Cantina Figures...
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, June 6 2015

His diorama is just blowing us all away. The Custom Figures and other work that SA70 has shown us sure are worth a look. I can't wait to see what he shares in the future.

Ben Alius creates a Tatooine Diorama...
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, June 5 2015
"After seeing al those beautiful diorama's that guys like Hemble post on this forum, I got inspired and took up my saw and glue to see what I could build for my son?

Tatooine being my favorite planet, due to the Star Wars historical role that Tatooine played in the movies, I thought that my diorama should be a Tatooine one.

Because my son (and me to) liked it so much, I decided to build another one... and that resulted in the following end result.

As you can see all the loose diorama's can be put together to become one play set. My son loves it! I hope you guys like it too?"

I for one absolutely love it! The idea of some smaller dioramas that fit together to create a bigger play set! What a great idea. I wonder how the Big H can't get their heads wrapped around that!

Clone Troopr is back with a new Clone Trooper!
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, June 5 2015
"Here’s my realistic interpretation of Clone Commando Gregor from The Clone Wars TV show! A lot of work was put into this figure. I started out with a loose, super-articulated Fixer that I bought off ebay that came with no accessories. I first made the figure all white, with a combo of some paint scraping and just white paint. I gave him a dirty white wash to match his appearance in the show. The visor was also cut to be bigger than the original figure’s, so that it would match up with how Delta Squad appeared in the videogame. The tally marks and his emblem were particularly tricky to pull off. I also had to make him a custom backpack."

I like the look. I miss seeing Clones in action each week. Good thing I have folks like Clone Troopr to get me my TCW fix.

KRZTFR shows you how to add leg articulation to your AT-DP!
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, June 4 2015
He is using some LEGO Joints, some miliput, and a lot of elbow grease to do something we all wish Hasbro had done when they released this new vehicle. It really looks tough and substantial to me. He is still working on it and he has had a few issues he had to work through, but no doubt moving some joints in the legs is putting a smile on his face. Look for future updates on this one as he nears completion.

If not you are missing out on over 230 products, many of which are at deep discounts that you will not be able to find anywhere else. From Gentle Giant to Acme Archives, etc. you can count on Most Wanted Collectibles to list the high end items you demand for your collection.

Rest assured your order will be handled promptly and professionally and show up to your door in awesome shape. Personally I have never had an issue with any order. I have even been contacted by MWC's Customer Service just to make sure some items I ordered showed up ok. I liked that a good bit!

Vipers Kingdom listing Hasbro E7 Stormtroopers?
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, June 2 2015
It sure looks that way to me, but he doesn't use the nomenclature Hasbro to describe em. I found this while perusing facebook and have to say that one person who received one of these showed us a foot that had the Hasbro label on it. Looks like they have a neat part on the leg where the blaster snaps into it too. I wonder what other new things VK will show us in the future?Click here to go see about getting one and just can't wait!

I-am-Boba-Fett gives us a new Mando...

"Here is a custom Mandalorian WALON VAU figure I made awhile back for a customer. It is mentioned somewhere in one of the Republic Commando novels that Walon Vau wore a field backpack not a jetpack. So I cast in resin a backpack similar to the reference picture that I was shown by my customer. The backpack is attached to the figure with strong magnets embedded in the back armor of this figure and in the field backpack also. I cast in resin the hip pouches on this figure too."

That ought to be one happy customer!

Gold Leader One is back with an Action Fleet Custom...

"It's been a while since I did an Action Fleet custom. I thought I would have this done tonight but I'm low on the silver I use and can't find it on eBay at the moment. I may have to buy another brand.

Here's my work in progress: Action Fleet TIE Fighter from The Force Awakens. I plan on repainting the panels on the wings silver, then adding a dab of red on the laser cannons."

It sure looks spot on to these eyes so far.

Bwize shows us his six inch Jabba and throne...

"Here is my custom Jabba's throne dio for the Blk series 6in Jabba figure. It was a joy working on and you can follow the link for more pics. I re-painted Jabba as well.

The throne is made from 2" smooth foam board from Hobby Lobby. The throne cyclops are from the vintage Jabba playset which worked very well at this scale. I repainted the railing, hooka/bowl to. The pillows are from Etsy.com for the most part."

Welcome to ISY bwize and you have an excellent looking Jabba with Throne!

He is into a little bit of everything it seems and has taken a small break from REBELS to bring us some Knights of the Old Republic Work. I am especially enamored of his XAMAR Knight.

Kualan is back with a new chapter of Tales From The Clone Wars!

"Here is the next issue folks - ECHOES OF THE PAST, PART TWO!"

Folks hands down this has been the best story line for me when it comes to The Clone Wars. Please forgive me Mr. Filoni, but Kualan has captured the nuances of these characters the way I have envisioned them since the first CW Series I remember watching (Tartakovsky Anime). I don't want to give too much away, but this one we will see some of the biggest names in TCW come together for an all out battle. You will just have to click in to see who wins!

What are you making for the new custom challenge?

This time out you have your choice between two themes: create yourself as a Star Wars Custom Figure or scratch build a Star Wars Vehicle. The particulars you can find here and I simply cannot wait to see what folks choose and see their work in progress and final reveal images. Special thanks goes to TS Hobbies who has been kind enough to donate the prizes for this one. Get to building ISYers!
