"Hi All,
Buzz Lightyear in Alpha suit 5" scale in Toy Story colours.
Note - I have added a pic at the start so you can see what he looked like before painting.
Recipe.
Buzz - is the figure that comes with the XL-15 that I repainted a few weeks ago and I decided to paint him and the jet pack up in Toy Story colours. I added the Space Ranger and name tag using my printer and the laser barrel is a piece of plastic and the laser beam is a light saber blade from a 3-3/4" Hasbro Darth Vader figure.
Once the figure and jet pack were painted I drilled out holes from the exhaust and then added clear rods and once dry attached him to the base and then added smoke using cotton wool which was ripped/pulled apart.
Base - is a plastic base I got from a 1/6 scale figure and I made the rocks by pulling/ripping apart foam and then gluing the to the base and the mud is a mix of spakfilla/sand/dirt mixed together and applied to the base.
Once the ground work was dry I painted it as well as the rocks and then applied the grass tufts which are from Gamers Grass and then I applied clear resin to give it a more soggy swap look.

"Apologies for dropping off the grid, with the house move now complete and my new office all laid out and ready. I am now back to building dioramas and back with this large build.
I added another layer of foam to the inside of the building which holds all 9 pieces securely in place. The cornerstones were cut out and glued into place on the front of the building."

The silicone mold wasn't the best I made, I was tired, but I really needed to make this part for a customer. Here's the result and I might give it another try with resin:"

"I painted up a Vintage Death Star Cannon. Originally I was going to add detail and rebuild it basically, but honestly it's pretty good as is especially being 40+ years old.
It was already painted black from the previous owner, so that saved a step. I did cut off the chair. That thing looked like a Lazyboy chair. Then I painted it light grey, then dark grey, dry brushed silver, then gave it a black wash and clear coat. The base it's on is a ziplok food container lid."
It looks spot on to me!

"Hi All,
Lightyear XL-15, 5" scale.
Recipe - the XL-15 is from Mattel and I removed the cockpit jump up mechanism and made a back seat using foam board and added new hand controls using wire and plastic rod and added a few bits and pieces from the parts box. I added marking and the extra number 15 to the ship using stencils I made and I then repainted and weathered the ship using Vallejo Paints.
Base - is a piece of high density foam and I added lights using small round Gundam lights and the covers are lids from superglue bottles and the step ladder was made using plastic rod. The red piece of equipment was made using a crystal grade container from another Lightyear figure and the cylinders and used asthma sprays and the hoses are electrical cord with the wiring pulled out.

" I painted my fuel tank. Light grey primer coat, dark grey, then a light spray of light again, a light spray of dark, then a clear coat. Then I added some rusty dirt using some black pigment powder and woodland scenics burnt umber watercolor, then another clear coat.
Also I got 4 of these WWE "Highwire War" playset latticed towers. It's starting to look like an Imperial base. The comm tower looks pretty good at a distance. I think if I add some small trees around it, it'll have the illusion of being very big and far away."

"We've lost a command post! I lost the command post I made several years ago, can't for the life of me find it, so I made another one. Inspired by Battlefront, which is canon now, but I just wanted to give it a practical utilitarian look.
I worked a little more on my tank. Based on the ones from the new battlefront games. The tank is made from an Armorall wipes can, some Y-wing parts, DIY straws, and plastic card."

"Finally some final pictures. It was a successful experiment. The camo netting worked as well as it can, not a miracle worker. The aloe gel made some cool water effects with no bubbles surprisingly. I wish I could have done some more action, but I didn’t think that far ahead. It's a learning experience. The modular forest is a success."

Remnant Trooper Version 2, 1:12 scale.
Recipe.
Trooper - is from Hasbro's 6" Black series as is the poncho which was painted brown and the blaster and holster. The DLT-Heavy blaster is from Bandai and the side bag is from a COD WW2 figure, the sling and straps were made using pleather and the pouches are from Marvel/Black Series/Bandai figures.
Base - is made from Plaster and I used a rubber mould from Woodland Scenics and both the figure and base were painted and weathered using Vallejo Paints.

"Hi All,
The Phantom - Modern Version 1:12 scale.
I got the inspiration for this figure when I saw a picture done by Gasa979 over on DeviantArt which is the last pic.
Recipe.
The Phantom - the figure is a knock off of Mezco's Black Panther figure and I decided instead of going exactly like Gasa979'S picture I kept the whole body and gave him a belt and holster made from pleather.
The pistols are resin prints and the buckle is from the Neca Defenders of the Earths Phantom. For the mask I decided to give him half face mask which I cut the lower face section off and added a lower face from a Superman Kingdom come figure and the hands are from a TBLeague Phicen figure and the skull rings are cut from some Games Workshop Spacemarines miniatures and the good mark ring is just some solid round plastic card.
Base - the base came with the knock off figure and the stone work is high density foam cut and sanded and I used a pencil to carve the floor and the Phantom writing. The grass tufts are from Gamers Grass and the dirt is a mix of spakfilla/sand/mulch and Vallejo's Chocolate brown.

"Just a tiny update. I made the creek bed a little dirty and messy, like it should be. The sand and rocks were just too clean. First I sprinkled some of my forest litter in areas where debris would collect, like in front of deadfalls or large rocks and in the edges. Then, I made a mixture of Modge Podge, grey/green paint and water, put it in a spray bottle and sprayed the whole bed down."

"Over the weekend I finished up the groundwork, for this particular set up, the only problem is, my special figure that, is pretty much the main star of the diorama is still not here. So I could either wait 2 or more weeks, or move on, and remake that setup later. I do have another set up I want to try, involving a stream, so I'm going to try to make that using materials I already have."

The Phantom 2040, 1:10 scale.

Recipe,
Phantom - is from NECA is from the Defenders of the Earth series, I removed his forearms and gave him gauntlets form the calf armour sections of the Bandai Deathtrooper.
The belt was also removed and replaced with armour from a Games of Throne Brienne of Tarth figure and the buckle is some plastic card sanded to an oval shape and I then painted the skull and the weapons are made from the barrels of the Deathtrooper rifle.
Base - is high density foam and given a watered down wash of tail polish to give the stone a real weathered look caused by acid rain. The dead vines are roots I got form the local bush and let them dry out and the small dark grass tufts are from Gamers Grass and the dirt is a mix of spakfilla/sand/mulch mixed with Vallejo's Chocolate Brown."

"Pick up a $6 CORPS multipack at Ollies the other day for $6 just to get this tread bike. I didn't feel the original foot pegs and handles location worked very well so I lopped them off and added my own. Extra set in back for a passenger. The handlebars are just a piece of aluminum rod and can pivot to help pose the figures. Had fun painting this up and it shows how much perception of quality can be attributed to a good paint job."
This is just so true. It looks great. Hasbro we need some vehicles!

Base - the house is built using foam board, balsa wood, cardboard and plastic tube and the door knocker and door handle are from some cheap jewellery chains and I used a pencil to do all the stone work on the building and base.
