Could someone please think with me and suggest a theme color? Also, I can't come up with a name for this ship... I would like to call it something legendary as "Millennium Falcon". "Just got my autograph in today from Orli for my Shaak Ti! I had her sign a custom stand I made for it." Folks this 6" Custom and the Stand look fantastic! I find myself liking his Togruta head sculpt so much better than the version Hasbro debuted for Ahsoka Tano at Celebration.

Wraithnine is rocking the Bandai Astro Customs...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, April 28 2015
Two new ones out of the gate in the form of R5-K4 and R2-R4 showcase just how cool this new set is from Bandai and just how great a paint master Jay is. I must say he must have ordered a ton of this new set and I hope he doesn't stop anytime soon!

Koth is back with a new update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, April 28 2015
"I was very disappointed to see the new Commander Wolffe, stunted that he is. I saw my question was made to Hasbro who didn't have a clue what the problem was. Is it just me? I don't think so. This got me on a research wheel to find a resolution to Wolffes problem. I'm not very good at swapping parts especially with these clones. The way they are put together means, as some of you know, the way to open them up is a bit invasive and may not be conducive to being reusable.

So what could be the replacement? Like the makers of Rebels and Episode VII I went back to the original material, Mr R McQuarrie and sought out the Hoth Trooper.
Whilst researching I also came across a peculiar astro-mech. At the 2003 Megacon The Florida Wolfpack were there on hand in their Legion Cosplay with an astromech called Wolfie! You may know of my other love - astromechs - and I have been a bit busy."

Head from Angelforge, torso from Ree Yees, and lower body from a MIB figure..." Trust me that is just a small taste of the custom goodness from his latest post.

Ron Hembling finishes his six inch AT-AT Driver Diorama...
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, April 26 2015
"He's all done. I finished him off by printing off imperial logos and repainting and then used pastel chalks to weather him up and give the armour a more battle look to it.

The comms relay was done by using a 1/1000th Enterprise nacelle, bullets from some GI Joe figures, wire, plasti card and bits and pieces from the bits box. The snow was done by mixing some spakfilla, PVA glue and water together until I got the texture I wanted and the icicles are made by using Woodland scenic Water Effects."

Needless to say who do you think has a big ole smile all over his face right now. Wow, Ron you are definitely a magic maker my friend.

"Gage Has’tilya – Even as a youngster Gage didn't fit in with mainstream Bothan culture. He was much more comfortable with the direct approach than with the usual Bothan political maneuverings and surreptitious activities. As a result, Gage didn't have a very promising future in the Bothan spy networks. When Borsk Fey'lya brought his resources to the Rebel Alliance, however, Gage saw the opportunity to chart his own course." He has quite a few new customs to go through too.

Camo Deafie shows up with new artwork...
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, April 25 2015
"And last but not least, a heavily armed TIE Gunship, uses a standard looking TIE ball/pylon up front, but instead of wing panels on the ends of the pylons, there are twin cannon turrets in addition to the chin turret, and due to that, the radiator fins/panels have been moved up to the top/rear area, much like the Assault Transport, but with two extra fins/panels in a sort of K shape." He has some really great new designs.

DaBooma is back after a year...
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, April 25 2015
"It's been a looooooooooooooooooooooooooong time since I posted anything. I actually did this about a year ago, but never had a chance to post it. Episode 1 Anakin...how he should have looked as a younger Sabastian Shaw. I'm no scuplter but I think he turned out really well. I used the head from the Power of the Force figure from the late 90's, re-sculpted his cheeks and removed his wrinkles, then repainted." Click on through to see the full recipe.

"So I used pieces from metal models that I've abandoned and tried to make a chrome trooper prototype. it took parts from 3 different models and it was entirely designed on the fly. Trying to find the right piece was usually the biggest challenge. Glad I finally found a use for those impossible models." What a cool way to use up some metal pieces!

Have you seen JDeck's Hockey Rebel Pilots?
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, April 23 2015
"I've been wanting to build some kind of NHL Washington Capitals star wars mash-up for a couple years now. I figured I'd pull the trigger on a line of figures inspired by Capitals players, and the player's position determines the type of Starcraft they pilot. Center=A-wing, R/Lwings=X-wing, defenceman=B/Y-wing." He has added some decals lately to really make em pop.

Hasbro answers your questions during Celebration Anaheim!
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, April 22 2015
Will we see the rest of the Bounty Hunters in the Six Inch Line? What are some possibilities for the next astro-mechs in the six inch line? What about playsets? Will we see a larger size vehicle in the six inch line? When is the vintage line coming back? You can click in and find out the answers. We also want to take the time to thank Jeff Labovitz and Joe Ninivaggi from Hasbro’s Star Wars team for giving us a few minutes during a very busy Celebration and for answering the questions within the limits they were given. I think our site reporter Todd Mullin did a bang up job getting over 20 questions posed within the time limits and it was really great to hear that some of these offerings may be happening in the near future.

Tonphanan checks back in!
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, April 22 2015
"Checking back in with 2 updates: Gorm The Dissolver. I have been working on this guy on and off for probably 8 years now and I finally created one I am happy with. Next is Dodger from G.I. Joe BattleForce 2000 - an updated look. The torso and head are from Angle Forge." I think that Gorm the Dissolver is a heck of a custom figure and how can you not like that name!

Gold Leader One is back with a new Luke...
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, April 22 2015
"In keeping up with the Shadows of the Empire theme, here is my newest custom figure: Luke Skywalker - Jedi Training. I am surprised this version of Luke was never made, it really is a simple figure to make. It felt a little weird not doing anything pilot related this time, but this was an easy custom and fun to do." His full parts list and how he did are at the aforementioned link. It makes a great looking Luke Action Figure!

Mandalore25 is back with a new Sith...

Jedi Minstrel continues his Je' Daii Series...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, April 21 2015
"A master of Stav Kesh, the Temple of Martial Arts, Tor Nisan believed that everything was coming to an end on Tython. Something in the distant future. He did not dwell on it in a panic but he did stress on the other masters of Stav Kesh and the other Temples the importance of the training they gave their padawans. He became one of the best teachers of not only martial arts but of the entire Je'daii Order." More great back story and custom images await!

Bronxstalker finishes his 6" Cable...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, April 21 2015
"Ok, Cable, is...done. Most parts are sculpted, except for the belt and the GoW boots, and of course, weapons. I fully sculpted his shoulder pads and made them so that they can attach to him via magnets. His rifle attaches to either his back or shoulder pads by magnets as well. He stands at almost 7" tall, so a bit taller than your standard Marvel figures." He sure did turn out nice if you ask me! Click here to fetch him into your own collection if you so desire.

Most Wanted Collectibles still has some older Hasbro values!
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, April 15 2015
The Boushh Leia in its new six inch form sure has been a storm of controversy this week and while perusing the latest deals from Most Wanted Collectibles I thought it was interesting to note that MWC still have the SOTE Version of this available.

Matter of fact, they have four pages of older Hasbro items some of which go for horrendous amounts on the secondary market. Click here to go take a look and walk down memory lane. I can sure remember having a hard time finding a few of these figures when they were out in the later 90s!

"I have started painting him, I mixed flat white and black to get the grey tone for the jumpsuit and as you can see and as Clonehead mentioned the wet tissue will sit perfectly over the already sculpted creases. I have also started weathering the white areas by dry brushing the flat white and then adding a very soft black wash to the white areas." Folks to say this is look awesome is an understatement!

The Boo shows us his awesome custom vehicles!
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, April 13 2015
"I kinda stumbled into this kind of thing, having never done much model work, much less painting. It started a few years back when I started making movie props from scratch, then thought "I've always wanted a nice Star Wars display piece". So I started doing research, and my first was an AT-ST, and I ran kitbashed hoses and greebles and whatnot, getting my head around this kind of thing and learning as I went. I'm going to start a couple of new projects, with integrated Raspberry Pi motion controlled items and better lights. I'm always looking for new things to learn and mess around with." Folks the greeble work on the AT-AT alone is breathtaking, but the light and detail work on a bevy of other ships (including an AT-ST) is phenomenal as well!

C130IM is back!
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, April 13 2015
"1:18 Militia Guntruck (Occupied Southeast US, Georgia Unit)

Most militia units -which had no interface with SOF's or other military remnants in the southeast- relied on whatever they could find.

Simple civilian trucks, cars, jeeps, were converted to light and heavily armed vehicles. Using variety of weapons. Although the invaders considered these militia groups as minor threat. They played key roles in disrupting some alien operations. Most operations involved hit-and-run attacks on smaller invader scout units. Others would provide fire coordinates to US artillery in unoccupied areas of invader targets.

This particular truck sported a 37mm cannon. Taken from a collector it was hoisted into the back of a Dodge Ram 3200. Steel plates, tank tracks, were placed on sides and front of truck. The cannon was very effective against invader infantry.

The small shrubs are from Army painter and the grass is from a company that makes paper grass and plants sorry can't remember the companies name. The dirt I got from the back garden. The base and figure were painted and weathered using Vallejo and GW paints and pastel chalks." Ron always shares his recipe and a step by step or how he does everything.

"Have added the tissue paper by attaching it using watered down PVA glue. I will start the painting and weathering tomorrow once the tissue dries." Daggone, but I am on the edge of my seat every time I look at this. I don't care if Hasbro does make one, its not gonna be as detailed as this one. Rock on Ron!

Ron Hembling gives us an update on his POTA Diorama...

Why Boushh Leia what big everything you have!
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, April 11 2015
I was going across the interwebs on a break yesterday and saw this horrible image of the new Boushh Leia compared to the 6" Slave Leia we have gotten in years past. Needless to say there is a huge scale issue and one can only wonder if this same problem applies to other six inch figures. Trust me, this is one question we will be addressing at SW Celebration when we interview the Hasbro Brand Team. Thanks to fwoosh.com for the reference.

Commander Kurgan sends a message to Hasbro...
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, April 11 2015
"Dear Hasbro, I've always believed that accessories can easily make a cool figure an awesome figure. You've got all the parts. I've got all the ideas. There's money to be made from your customers. May I present ARC-Trooper Alpha-90 Gloom." Now that is what I call a great message!

TS Hobbies finishes his 6" Talon...
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, April 11 2015
"Finally got this one done...fwewwww...that took alot longer than I expected..but I liked the end results...its a great figure. The joints are really loose, so you have to tighten them up with some super glue. She doesn't come with a light saber either, so had to make my own. I just twisted up some floral wire in the drill, and stretched some clear red acrylic rod to make the saber. The tattoos were a PITA, but I got through it..not exact mind you but they're there." Personally I think she turned out fantastic.

Mandalore25 finishes his Togruta/TwiLek Hybrid...
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, April 11 2015
"This is the finished Togruta/Twi'lek hybrid. He has three heads of what the hybrid may look like, a removable ninja mask, multi-colored double-sided lightsaber, that comes apart in three places, the hilt attaches to the back (with, and without the armor), the hilt attaches to the belt, removable dark purple clone armor with gray, and black highlights, a black robe, and a brown robe." That one sure has a lot of accessories!

Gold Leader One gets his hands on some putty...
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, April 11 2015
"Recently started working again on Dash Rendar's Outrider. With the epoxy putty I found I was able to fill in the gaps I had previously cut off (with the help of my Dad). I filled in 2 areas in the back (on each side of the engine), on the side of the cockpit which faces the body of the ship, the side of the gun turrent, and on the other side getting rid of the large missile launcher." Click on through to see his work in progress so far.

TS Hobbies gives us a 6" Talon Update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, April 10 2015
"The print lines were almost none..but it did have a sponge like texture...which I ended up using Mr Surfacer to smooth out the skin and some light sanding...though some areas I sanded too much and eliminated some of the tattoo marks..so I had to go by reference to try and get them somewhat close...not easy... Heres a bit of an update...didnt want to spoil it and show the whole figure yet...but I finished resculpting the eye area....spread them out a bit, made the cheeks a little fuller, and broadened the forehead a bit..got started on the paint too! a boy are those tatts fun."

Ron Hembling starts a POTA Project...
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, April 10 2015
"I have an AT-AT driver I'm doing for Shawn and while I was covering the joints on the figure I decided to mix some extra putty and pose and superglue and cover the joints for a Battle of the Planet of the Apes figure dio (modern version) that I'm planning on doing. The figures are Ceasar and Luca wave 2 Dawn figures and the weapons I have had in the parts box for years and I think they are from Marvels Punisher figure from Toy Biz."

Jedi Minstrel continues his Je' Daii Series...
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, April 10 2015
"Chagrians were not part of the original groups transported to Tython but a small contingent crash landed on one of the outlier planets in the system, Nox. The ship and it's crew were traveling for decades as a research and exploratory team. They were looking for other habital planets and other intelligent species. Two survivors were found to be Force-sensestive but were much to old for training. Their son was only months old. After the survivors were treated, homes were erected for them since their ship was nonsalvageable, the parents and child were asked if they wanted to join other Force-sensitves. They agreed. The parents recieved some training and allowed to study the archives while their son received complete training. Brin Ghunak showed great promise and made his parents proud."

Bronxstalker shows us a great Cable WIP...
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, April 10 2015
"Here goes my work in progress 6" Cable. I sculpted his hair, eyebrows, chest harness, cybernetic arm, pistol holster and leg staps. His extra large shoulder pads are also fully sculpted, and can be removed. I still have some additional things to do with the shoulder pads, but almost done. His rifle attaches to his back via these mini strong magnets, and can also attach to the shoulder pad's back as well via magnet. His boots were taken from a gears of war figure, as was his belt, with the belt pouches removed from another part, and added to the belt. His hands also from a gears of war figure. Oh, and I also sculpted a bit around his jaw line and chin to give him a thicker face."

"From Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, relive your favorite moments leading up to the Battle of Hoth with the Sideshow Collectibles Captain Han Solo - Hoth Sixth Scale Figure.

On the run and with a price on his head, the intergalactic smuggler Han Solo joins the Rebel Alliance at their remote secret location on Hoth, Echo Base. Dressed for the planet's notorious sub-zero climate, Solo is fitted in an authentically replicated brown quilted parka, complete with rank insignia and fur-trimmed hood. Two scarves, a cap and goggles frame the lifelike portrait which perfectly captures actor Harrison Ford in the role that made him a star - and for additional display options, swap in the Sideshow Exclusive portrait without headgear, depicting Han as he appears inside the base.

Though hiding and freezing on the wretched ice cube doesn't sit well with the smuggler's disposition, when Rebel Commander Luke Skywalker goes missing during a routine patrol, Solo has no choice but to leap onto the back of an ill-fated tauntaun and go out after him. Fully equipped with a blaster pistol, macrobinoculars, droid caller, and portable life scanner, he's willing to risk everything on a rescue mission to find his friend and save the day." Don't forget there is a Blue version of this Hoth Han Solo too!

Ben Alius is back with a new wooden project...
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, April 8 2015
"Yes! Now I'm finally able to go in out of space! That was the first reaction of my son when I handed him my T.I.E. Fighter creation :) I thought it was about time he could play more than on Tatoine only, so I'm now starting to move on to building spaceships...Because I'm building with wood, and wood is not the most flexible material, the T.I.E. ended up way to square for me, but he, the young padawan is happy with it, so I should not be arguing that." Looks awesome to me!

Well we were finally able to get things to work out right and Frank sat down with me last evening to relate all of the great information regarding the Diorama Workshop Cloud City Build that will soon be happening at Celebration Anaheim. We delved into the history of the workshop, the resources that can still be downloaded and created from past workshops, and of course all the great fun and goodies he is giving away as a part of the Diorama Workshop Celebration Experience. Folks share the video and lets see if we can help Frank give folks an even better Diorama Workshop through donations! TS Hobbies is working on an Aayla Secura too...
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, April 5 2015
"Heres a bit of an update... been trying to smooth the skin ...at first I thought it would be ok just to sand it smooth...nope...these 3D printed parts are filled with millions of little air bubbles, so sanding alone just doesnt do it, so you have to fill them. I used Mr Surfacer brushed on. I applied maybe 3 coats ,with sanding in between each coat using a fingernail sanding sponge. You can see the difference between the two parts shown, belly and leg.
I also did some extra work on the head..the forehead should be a little more prominent ,so I broke out the Aves and hopefully havent messed it up. I think the paint job will help define the eyes better and last, while Im at it, Im working on an Aayla Secura." These are just going to turn out fantastic!

Gold Leader One creates a Bothan Rebel PIlot!
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, April 5 2015
"I finally managed to get the Borsk Fey'lya figure so I can complete my Bothan Blue Squadron Y-wing. Now I have an actual Bothan pilot! I did a simple head swap and some painting to this figure. I used his head on a Biggs Darklighter pilot figure (Black Series). The Borsk Fey'lya figure is the same height as the Biggs figure, which is why I used that figure and not Luke, who is shorter." He did a fantastic paint job on the head of his pilot too!

-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, April 4 2015
"I made a small addition to Ven Zallow v4, Satele Shan is coming along nicely as well. Feet and hands will be replaced by more suitable ones and I need to touch up the hair a bit. Very happy with how she's progressing, Version 5 of Ven Zallow is also in the works." And that is just scratching the surface of his latest update! I hope that means he is working on a new Malgus too!

Jedi Minstrel is back with a new Jedi...
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, April 4 2015
"It is 25,000 years before the battle of yavin and many Je'daii have gone beyond the Tython System for enlightenment, adventure, aid to others, or whatever the Force guides them to. Jettunhil "Jet" Broktor was a Je'daii Ranger about 25,000 years before the Battle of Yavin. He, like many of the ancient Force-sensatives of the era used both a Force-impused sword and a lightsaber." Oh yeah, I really need to get this comic series. JM always creates some awesome customs. I can't even remember how many awesome figures of his I have covered over the years.

Bronxstalker is back with a gorgeous Harley Quinn!
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, April 3 2015
"My daughter for a lonnnnggggg time has been wanting me to make her a Harley Quinn figure, and boy have I procrastinated. I initially was going to make her gi joe sized, but since I took so long, my wife insisted that I make her 6". Over a month ago, I started dremeling parts off of her and sculpting, but Harley Quinn really isn't someone I was in any rush to do, so it took me forever. Anyway, with my daughter starting her spring break this week, I figured what better chance to finish her and give it to her. She's 14 so she doesn't play with figures, but she has a spot on a shelf to put her on. She has no weapons, but I'm thinking of making a hammer for her." Daggone, but his sculpting skills are really getting honed! He still has a pretty cool custom auction for a 6" Daredevil up for perusal too!

Here is what they look like on the inside!

Clonesniper 78 is also back with a rather interesting look at what the new six inch Clone Trooper looks like opened up. I must say it sure does let you know what you might be getting into before you decide to crack the seal yourself. Thanks for the image Tom!

Clonesniper78 is back with a large update!
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, April 3 2015
From a Hoth Luke to a Predator to Dutch to this 6" Crusader Boba Fett you see above, CS78 has sure been busy. I am really enjoying the Knights Templar look he gave this Fett. He looks as comfortable with his sword as he does his blaster. He also shares some good news in the fact that if you want any of these he is listing these on eBay this weekend!

This particular bust was listed in 2011 and commands a hefty price on today's aftermarket listings, but you can still order it for a regular price from Most Wanted Collectibles.

-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, April 1 2015
I like his updates as you get a huge amount of new custom figures when he posts. His latest batch is just one great combination of parts from a bunch of different lines. This one is Shlohmo (bounty hunter tracker assassin) and I am interested in reading his back story he has promised to post later.

Art de Whill is back with new artwork...
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, April 1 2015
"So here is my latest "translation" of a custom figure by Iron Panda into one of my artworks! This time I added even more details to the figure, more than one would do when thinking of a comic book style which my initial idea was when starting this type of work - at least a cross between illustration and comic style... anyway, that is just artists blabla, lets focus on the girl." I think she looks fabulous Stefan!

TS Hobbies is back with a repaint...
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, April 1 2015
"Heres my latest piece..not exactly a creative one..but one of those must do kinda repaints...the ROTJ version of Boba Fett...added the pouches to his belt, and re-positioned the larger two. Also had to add the red rope belt ,since that was basically destroyed while cutting the belt apart. Also reworked the rifle, though its not exactly accurate. I'll probably redo that later. I also removed some of the details on his left wrist and made the flame thrower? box to it. And of course repainted most of him." I would buy him!

Mandalore25 is back with a Sith...
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, April 1 2015
"Glad to be showing something, have been working on commissions, and have been getting over scheduled at work lately. This is another figure for the same customer that wanted Salve Elsa, it's some female Togruta sith created by some artist I'm unaware of, but I hope if they were to see it, they'd think I captured her likeness for my customer." What a cool character, I would like to see Hasbro make something like this. I don't think we have enough Sith in our lives!
