Unreality is back with an Action Fleet AT-AT Barge!
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, March 31 2015
"Well, this is my latest build. I just finished it yesterday...or rather, I finished taking photos of it. It's an original design inspired by AT-AT barges that I've seen in pics and games. I call it the Thane-class Barge as a nod to the game Skyrim." Folks this just turned out fantastic. The detail is off the charts. You will see him even landing an AT-AT in his image update.

Stronox is back with a new Starkiller...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, March 31 2015
"My most recent version of Starkiller, done with GI Joe styled articulation and removable saber hilts!" Folks, this is probably the toughest looking version of this character I have ever seen! If you would like to own it, click here and get cracking!

Custom Jedi is back with all kinds of updates...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, March 31 2015
He is back with all kinds of news from a Facebook Anniversary, to custom figures finished and his works in progress, to even some Celebration 7 news. I think it is definitely worth a click to see the latest.

StarFall is back!
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, March 31 2015
"It has been a while since my last update, but I have a batch of new Starfall characters in various stages of completion. I have a new setup for my workspace which has been an amazing boon to my process, but as most of you know, it's just hard to find the time to get in the work. So here is my latest addition to the Altarus Starcluster: Buzzard." You can read through and read a great back story and see a very detailed set of images.

Darth Daddy is back with a REBELS Update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, March 31 2015
"This was a quick figure I made, by replacing the Ezra Bridger head from the 2 pack where Ezra was in disguise as Dev Morgan the Imperial cadet. I just created an original headsculpt to make it into a Zare Leonis. Here at home we felt that the Zare Leonis character deserved an action figure so we did what we had to do to make it so. I used a combination of Green Stuff and Aves Fixit to do the sculpt." Looks good to me. I sure wish there was more movement in these figures, but DD is sure on the right track.

John Caliber starts a new series: Aversion Corridor!
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, March 30 2015
It is great to see Star Wars Toyscapes: Aversion Corridor (Episode One) and see him incorporating new effects into his graphics. From creating epic dioramas and some image wizardry along with a great story this is just a nice way to get your work week started!

Jedi Minstrel adds even more to his new line...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, March 30 2015
"Little is known about Spc. Biinaes Vic other than he lost both his parents to an industrial accident in Sith space when he was a child. An uncle, the navigator on a freighter, was able to smuggle him and his younger sister into Republic space. He placed both children with a friend where they were able to grow up in a less fanatic environment. Biinaes wanted to help people like his parents and do what he can to defend and expand the Republic." As you can see his interesting back stories complete his great customs.

OC47150 is back with three new customs...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, March 30 2015
"A couple of customs to end the weekend. A younger version of Qui-Gon. Straight repaint: darkened the hair and gave his robes a different color. A Naboo pilot with the jacket. I used the POTF2 Endor Han cloak and painted it orange. I created this one for a comic show last year. Took one of the POTF2 Obi-Wan's and gave him the old '70s colors." It is great to see folks still getting use out of POTF2 Figures!

Dorkside Toys lists the new Square Enix Play Arts Kai Star Wars 10 Inch Figures!
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, March 29 2015
I was absolutely stunned when I saw our friends at Yakface share the news on these this week on Facebook. Folks, hands down these are definitely stylized versions of these very popular baddies of our SW Verse, but I dare you to take one look at that Boba Fett and tell me that is not one of the toughest looking versions of this character you have seen! They also have a Storm Trooper Figure too so you may as well get over the violence and get both!

Sillof sends new word on customizing Celebration 7 Fun!
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, March 29 2015
"For our 2nd straight celebration I will be hosting the panel on action figure customizing. The panel is on the collectors stage 210AB on Friday from 12-1. The panel will feature the work of many customizers, as well as tips, tricks, resources, line debuts, figure giveaways, and the coveted limited edition collector's track pins. The time I really wanted to go more in depth with the specifics of how the hobby is done in all of its various forms. I also wanted to share the work of more customizers this time around. I think the panel does both nicely. I have an 60 minutes this year as opposed to 45 minutes at C6.

The other event is something new I am trying this year. I usual I will be helping out at the Diorama Workshop (this years theme is Cloud City) We are located in Hall B directly next to the Hasbro who is officially sponsoring us. Two times a day each day I will be offering classes to help people learn how to do the hobby. Attendees will sign up at the show and have to bring 2 figures - one to modify and one to donate. Be sure to come check it out and please spread the word. I if you would like to donate figures or parts for us to me to use at the show please contact me at sillof@sillof.com.

Tankster is back with a T.M.N.T. Krang...
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, March 28 2015
"Made to fit in with the Classics scale but took liberties on design pulling from IDW verse to Original Cartoon series." I think Nickelodeon needs to talk to Tankster and get some of these creations mass produced. Can't you imagine the excitement something like this would generate. Wow he is coming up with some awesome variations!

Candy Blues checks back in with a 6" Darth Plageuis Update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, March 28 2015
"I find myself constantly going back and adjusting things om not quite content with. But that's OK with me because i know it will look better in the end. Just a quick taste, in the first steps of the all important accessories. My idea is to have the actual saber blade hidden in the shaft of the staff, with a spring loaded action. Which will come up through the hollow, detachable saber hilt. I make it sound cool, but I've already come to find that this will take some planning to make it real." As you see he is continuing the epic detail work on this six inch custom Sith. I am definitely looking forward to seeing this one finished!

Bronxstalker is back with a Marvel Update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, March 28 2015
"Taking a slight break from Star Wars figures. Since my last Daredevil sold, I figured I'd make a new one. 6" tall figure with some sculpt, and total repaint to give him that menacing Daredevil look." He has even included a link to his current auction for this great looking custom action figure.

Jedi Minstrel continues his 3470 years before Battle of Yavin Series...
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, March 28 2015
"Cpl. g'Rhea Kishke, growing up on an agi colony in the Expansion Region was all set to continue in the family business after college and hadn't thought the military as a possibility. Then she met Breenai, a Lt. in the Republic Army. She talked about adventures, traveiling, and the people she met all over the galaxy. g'Rhea was enthralled. Breenai got her to apply at the planetary recruiting office. She had hoped to get through basic training and request assignment with Breenai's company. Unfortunately, her friend was killed in an ambush against Imperial forces. g'Rhea pushed herself through basic and after her first year was reassigned to the Republic Rangers." He has some great integration of soft goods with this series too.

Stronox is back with a JOE Update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, March 27 2015
"Firefly is one of my favorite characters in the joeverse and while I have made numerous versions of him over the years this is by far my current favorite. He was made from numerous figure parts and bits and I made his backpack more functional by adding a removable explosive that is magnetized. Also, the remote is small enough to fit inside his pack as well allowing him to have all his gear stored on the figure." Click here to go add it to your collection.

UPDATE: Our friends at Jeditemple Archives have found a bit more information that you can access here.

Jedi Minstrel is back with two new custom figures...

"Lt. Abrudeghavi'jattenevigda "Ajay" Ghevirethreh was showing great strides in special ops training until an accident during maneuvers cost him his arms. He did not want a discharge and neither did Cmdr. Niev'Kasel. So, Lt. Ghevirethreh underwent an experimental cyborg program. His reflexes were heightened along with his strength level. At first, Ajay resented the arms but now he appreciates having them as he continues to serve the Republic and his friends." I do enjoy reading JM's back stories.

I also sculpted all the wrappings around the lower legs and lower arms." Talk about one cool Shredder!

Candy Blues checks back in with a 6" Darth Plageuis Update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, March 24 2015
"Hey Shipyards, this last week was a real hands on study session i decided to put myself through, as far as sculpting technique and skill are concerned. Every day was a leg day! I had to scrap my original idea of using the material that was left from the base figure details at the top of the legs, and just paint over it. Only because I wouldn't get the effect of the detailed space suite I was going for. Still a few things I wanna do, But pretty happy over all." I would be pretty happy too, the detail is amazing!

Bronxstalker is back with a new Mando...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, March 24 2015
"So, the guy that bought the female mandalorian asked me if I would make another one so that I can ship them out together. So, here goes the male counterpart for my custom female mando. I love the duo. As much as I hate to part with them, I enjoyed making them and am glad that someone else could enjoy them." I really enjoy the color scheme on these two. That is bound to be one happy buyer!

Hal Narthax 87 adds some arty to the Inquisitor...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, March 23 2015
"I loved that sadly short-lived Inquisitor. Such an eloquent and articulate villain. Sad that Hasbro hasn't made figures as articulate as of late. This is my first venture into adding more articulation to figures with only 5 points of articulation. For what I thought would be disastrous actually turned out decently." I have to agree, it is nice to see some of his lightsaber poses he is able to achieve with just elbows!

Darth Daddy is back with a REBELS Update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, March 23 2015
"This Star Wars custom action figure is just a repaint of the AT-DP pilot as a way to create a pilot for our newly acquired Imperial Troop Transport. The hardest part was painting the white Imperial cog on the helmet of the figure. I tried to recreate the gloss look on the armor that is reflected in the animated Rebels series. I have a strong feeling we will see this figure released by Hasbro in a future wave." Its a great idea Hasbro, if you want my opinion. ;)

"Hi guys! 2015 has been off to a rocky start for me but I am slowly getting back into the swing of things...Anyways, here is my Marvel Universe scale Death's Head re-make...I modified the shield to hold three attachments instead of just two, gave him soft goods and put wires in the seams of the cape, added a bunch of new custom weapons, and gave him a full repaint...Hope you can dig him, he is one of my favorite Marvel characters!" Matter of fact folks you ought to give Stronox's For Sale Page a look see as he has this and some other great work up for sale!

Clonesniper78 shows us a fantastic 6" Obi in Mando Armor...
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, March 20 2015
"Hey guys, first off I want to apologize for not getting this guy finished in time for the 6" custom contest. I have been sick and had a back injury at work and had in-laws visiting from China during the time leading up to the end of the contest. The good news is you still get to enjoy this pretty cool custom. Here we have Obi Wan Kenobi in Mandalorian armor as seen in The Clone Wars. He is not %100 percent screen accurate but his color scheme is as close as I could get it. Enjoy!" I think he looks fantastic Tom.

Bronxstalker does his first full head sculpt...
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, March 20 2015
"So I decided to play around with a little sculpting. This is my very first attempt at a real head sculpt using clay (then baked and painted). I have never done a head sculpt ever, just adding apoxie here and there on existing heads.
I've always wanted to try doing a from scratch head sculpt, but was always hesitant, because I felt I wasn't "there" yet in my sculpting abilities. anyway, for a first time out, I think he actually came out pretty darn decent." Wow, for a first attempt I can't wait to see your second!

Jedi Minstrel shows us a new Republic Ranger...
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, March 20 2015
"Well, it's been awhile. Kids, work, you know, the usual, has kept me from posting but I've been able to continue with some custom building. Here is a continuation of what I started a few months back with Commander Niev'Kasel, the Republic Rangers. Like many other Xlugha, Sgt. Buughar, is a bit introverted and keeps to himself. But as a soldier, he is dedicated to his unit. He was one of the first that Cmdr. Niev'Kasel recruited for the Republic Rangers, a special forces unit that keeps to the shadows and receives almost no notoriety for its services." "From Star Wars: Return of the Jedi comes the shaman of the Ewok tribe of Endor, Logray! Logray was one of the many Ewoks that helped the Rebels destroy the Shield Generator, exposing the new Death Star. Recreated here with his ornate churi bird headdress, medicine bag and walking staff, no details have been missed on this amazing figure."

Hal Narthax 87 shows a great Tarkin mod...
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, March 19 2015
"When standing amongst other officer figures, the vintage Tarkin figure always looked a little out of place with his dark green tunic. A little cutting and pasting on Captain Needa and we have one grand looking Moff Tarkin." He really looks great to me in this incarnation.

Ben Alius is back with a new FM-AT!

"Ladies and gentleman, I present to you the FA-MT (Fast Action – Multiple Transport). A fast moving, and compact landspeeder that can be used for transport of goods, soldiers or both at the same time! This landspeeder is my own design and as the first pictures shows I’ve tried several design options to come to the final speeder. The FA-MT is compact, cheap to build and very vast! A fully stormtrooper loaded FA-MT can be emptied on the battlefield within 10 seconds (with a well-trained squad)." What an awesome little vehicle!

Its a Man of Steel Update for Most Wanted Collectibles...
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, March 18 2015
"A KOTOBUKIYA Japanese import! It's a bird, it's a plane... The Man of Steel is back to headline a brand new non-articulated DC Comics ARTFX+ statue series from Kotobukiya based on vintage action figure sculpts enlarged to 1/10th scale. You've seen him in his For Tomorrow and New 52 versions recently, and now the most famous superhero of all time appears as SUPERMAN CLASSIC COSTUME!

Sculpted by Atelier Bamboo, Superman Classic Costume ARTFX+ stands just under 8 inches tall (1/10th scale) on his included magnetic display base with perfect stability. As usual the Man of Steel leads the charge, looking awesome by himself in this presentation and bringing after him other classic style ARTFX+ statues coming soon like Green Lantern and the Flash!

Don't forget to see all of the great DC Comics Collectibles at Most Wanted. Remember, its never too early to start shopping for Father's Day!

Frank Diorio does his first Celebration VII Video...
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, March 18 2015
"I just UPLOADED my VERY FIRST VIDEO for Diorama Workshop's exclusive CREW behind the scenes making of next months Celebration Anaheim Cloud City Diorama Workshop

WELCOME TO BESPIN

In this first Video Diary, I explain that we are Returning to Celebration, our theme, Action Figure Fund and MOST IMPORTANT - FULL DETAILS on how Hasbro is CHANGING THE GAME this year for the Diorama Workshop Booth.

What doesn't seem clear to the fans online, that we have seen, is that Hasbro is not just "Presenting" the workshop and giving toys for the kids as in Celebrations past, but actually MERGING our two booth spaces to give fans a truly MEGA Diorama experience.

The Construction of the Bespin Cloud City pieces will be completely done in our Workshop Booth space but the Final Assembly this year, will be INSIDE the actual Hasbro Booth. Hasbro is so excited about this idea that they gave up prime real estate and changed their booth space to be closer to us so that the Celebration Anaheim fans could easily traverse back and forth between spaces and maximize the builders experience during the show. It is going to be EPIC.

Continue to visit Frank D'iorio's DioramaWorkshop.Comtotypes of what builders can expect next month in California."

JDeck continues work on his TESB Fuel Tanker...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, March 17 2015
"I pretty much finished the construction of the Rebel Fuel Tanker. I used a headphone jack for the refueling boom. In front of that is the bridge made of a 1/24 hot rod carburetor/air filter. I used a 1/25 engine and various parts for the body that works as a fuel pump. This is why I have so many greebles it pays off to have when building these models. I put a sloppy coat of primer/basecoat on I'll sand it and so forth and paint it up make it look used. I could build these all day it was really an enjoyable build." I think it turned out pretty nice!

IR is back with a new installment from what is rapidly becoming one of my favorite EU Novels of all time. In a day and age where the Clone Wars has been downgrades to Legendary and the dark abyss of never seeing the light of day again, IR gives us a ray of light in continuing the story. I am really enjoying his Clone Characters and we see the activity of a certain infamous Sith Lord.

This week, product is coming in at record pace with wave after wave of Saga Legends, Mission Series and 6" Black Series products hit retail. Plus, there are even great sales to be had as well. There are few very cool customs to discuss this week, the main one grabbing headlines around the world is the drone speeder bike which is too cool not to hit production. Finally, big news broke from Disney involving the first of the standalone films as well as the official release date for Episode VIII. There is a lot to wrap our addled brains around but you can watch/hear it all on Episode 55 of The Realm Recap!" Folks these guys are like crib notes for Star Wars Collectors and they just love customizers and customizing too. The Clonehead starts my kind of new project!
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, March 14 2015
"I'm starting something new. It's another mod job. Some of the mods I'll kit-bash together. I've assembled some components here for the first two modifications needed that I believe will work." His work in progress AT-AT Driver helmet modified from the six inch TIE Pilot helmet is already fantastic! They don't call him the Clonehead for nothing! Clint is none for his wonderful helmet modifications and I can see this is going to be one for the history books. Clonehead for president! At least of Hasbro anyhow! Make sure you scroll down after reading the initial post as he has posted updates already.

Jaeger45 shows how to create some articulated AT-DP Pilots!
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, March 14 2015
"OK, a non-verpine (gasp). WIP, my fully articulated AT-DP pilots. So far, a no-paint custom, just a bit of dremel work. Armor dremeling was made easier by the fact that the bodies on the new Rebels, Legends figures are a stiffer plastic, much like the old POTF2 figures. I still need to swap out the boots for Snowtrooper Commander boots, and repaint the boots and belt. Note the two-piece removable helmet." Now this is just a win-win if you ask the Tamer!

Candy Blues shows how small details add up...
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, March 14 2015
"Hey guys spent the last few days doing odd stuff with Plagious, mostly adjusting some issues here and there.
And started some casual sculpting on the legs and hands. Even did a little work on the head. But nothing real ground breaking. Except for the hands.... The issues is was having with the hands, was something that started to keep me up at night... After some questioning of my theorized methods, i decided i'm just gonna go for it. At first they seemed to big when i dipped them in the wax material, but i thought they would look better when slimmed them down and gave them detail. The results as such.... not bad!" I would say not bad is an understatement.

OC47150 is back!

"My club has two events, a comic/toy show and a display at the local library, for the next two weekends. I created a couple of new customs for the shows. Remember in the old Marvel SW comics Luke ran around most of the time in his farmboy outfit? A buddy and I joked that he probably didn't have time to shop for new duds. I created this one based on an old Marvel pix I saw. Sorry about the quality of the pix. I might repost a better one later. I used the ceremonial Luke body, swapped the head to be more ANH-ish, and painted the jacket." There is also a great new Bail Organa to peruse when you hit the aforementioned link too.

Help Frank Diorio make CV the best Diorama Workshop ever!
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, March 13 2015
"Hey guys and gals, I'm sending you these 3 images for Hasbro Figures that we DESPERATELY need to make this years Star Wars Celebration Diorama Workshop the best it ca be.

For the first time in 13 years, Hasbro has stepped up and asked us to merge our workshop with their booth to create a MEGA Diorama experience for the fans.

The fans will be building the diorama in our Builders Workshop booth and then the final diorama will be assembled and displayed IN the Hasbro booth that has been relocated to be right next to us. That is how much Hasbro is excited to bring the Diorama Experience to the masses this year. Which also means most likely WAY MORE FANS to build = MORE Figures needed to display.

Hasbro is able to give us hundreds of figures of the main characters, Stormtroopers, Droids but unfortunately, their warehouses no longer carry the THREE MOST IMPORTANT and CRUCIAL characters for a successful BESPIN Diorama...

Bespin Guards - Ugnaughts and Cloud car pilots.

So I ask as a favour to you guys - Star Wars and Toy fans, if you can help spread the information for these 3 figures to your friends, forums, twitters, connections, and point them to our fund page I would be just beyond forever grateful.

Plus remember - it's the KIDS who come to build who will be bringing these figures home with them on the Sunday. That's the best part of the donations.

Thanks so much for reading this and I hope to see you in Anaheim !!!! Frank."

We will be featuring the other pictures each day as a reminder. Folks, speaking from personal experience, the diorama workshop is just one of the neatest things about Celebration and kids as well as adults just have a blast building.

Get those hard to find parts from Clint's Toys and Video Games Store...
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, March 13 2015
"Some of the other toy listings and what not in the store have been sitting around too long and while I have been running some sales to try to shake some of the stuff, I found myself marking some stuff down by %50 the other day. There are some vintage 80s figs without accessories in there for $2.50. Seems like I marked some more modern stuff down as well. Might be a Joe fig for half off in there. Periodically, I may continue this bigger markdown type of sale to try to shake some more inventory. Oh, I had never put parts on sale before till this year but buyers have responded to it well so keep looking to see that happen in the future." Well know getting the Clonehead's parts even cheaper? That just seems like a no brainer to me.

Well I will say I noticed that Jar Jar right off the bat, but you can't deny even he looks awesome in this format. Folks this is the fellow I talked about on CAFN last night!

I think these wooden SW Vehicles are awesome.

JDeck continues work on his TESB Fuel Tanker...
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, March 12 2015
"I continued working on my TESB ship that I've come to the conclusion is a fuel tanker. So I started work on the other pod I haven't yet painted it so you get a glimpse of how it all comes together. I almost forgot how I built my first pod since they needed to have the exact same shape but eventually I remembered I sectioned the front solo cup instead of merely cutting it in half. Also I started work on the engine. Its made of gel pen tops, super glue tops, a super glue bottom and a jet thruster from a model kit." He sure looks to be spot on to me from the reference image he is working from.

"While I was thinking on what big #Buildingtoysformyson project I would start up next, I looked at the pile of waste wood from the AT-AT project. Al those small parts brought me up an idea! An AT-RT! Because most parts where already in the right size, only small adjustments had to be done and therefor the total build was quickly done… taking the pictures took longer. Being such a small project, I took the time to make step by step pictures, so I could so you guys how I construct these little toys for my son. Enjoy." Now that is one cool process!

Custom Creator updates us on his Service Station Dio...

"Busted out the sanding drum on the Dremel along with some hand sandpaper to get the wear and tear started. Bottoms of garage doors get the most abuse, so rounded off the bottom a bit and made it uneven. Same with thresholds. Well that took about a month....lol."

Mandalore25 is back with a cool Star Wars/Frozen Crossover...
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, March 11 2015
"Had a different customer ask me to make him this one, a cross between Slave Leia and Elsa from Frozen. It's mostly a repaint, but I did sculpt some more hair above the forehead, and over the ears to make her look more like Elsa. Was cool because I have been meaning to do some crossovers, but I'm thinking more like Mass Effect, and Elder Scrolls crossovers."

Koth is back with a new update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, March 11 2015
"Here's a completed Xasha, Boba's girlfriend, from TFUII Comic. I wanted to use a spare CW helmet for her to show armour differences. I don't think she has a skirt in the comic but, hey, I went with what I had." I think she looks pretty good. Matter of fact he has posted an even later update that includes some customs from back in the 80's. Good stuff folks.

Sponsor Dorkside Toys shares news of the Black Series 6" Wave 9!
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, March 10 2015
Hasbro has extended the pre-order release date of the Commander Cody Wave to May 3rd. As a result this wave and its accompanying figures will not be put back up for sale till said date. It is very unusual to ask sellers to remove them for sale after official release dates, but we assume there is just some release reshuffling based on future waves. We appreciate the word from Dorkside Toys!

JDeck starts work on a new ship from TESB...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, March 10 2015
"I took a slight break from my transport today. I started on a twin pod ship inspired by one at the end of TESB that no body knows what the heck it is but for my interpretation its a Corellian patrol/scout craft. I built it using parts I bought at dollar tree plus greebles from my collection. I just need to go to the dollar tree again for the other pod's front dome I took off a flashlight. The body itself is made from two Solo cup shot glasses one I cut in half." Looks good so far!

Darth Daddy shows us another Elias Podracer Pilot...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, March 9 2015
"Elias really impressed me with the paint job of his second podracer from ASIS FILM MODELS cast figure model series. Although the figures offer no articulation, the sculpts are out of this world! Recently Elias painted the "Ebe Endocott" that we received in hopes of growing his Phantom Menace collection. Elias' paintwork was so skillfully applied and he was able to add one more podracer to his display. Stay tuned for two more podracers in the month of March this time painted by ASIS FILM MODELS themselves."

Ron Hembling finishes his six inch Snow Scout Diorama...
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, March 8 2015
"He's all completed! The Trooper has had a little extra weathering done to his armour and cloth goods. The snow was given another layer to give it a more wet/reflected look to it by mixing Spakfilla and Woodland Scenics realistic water." Folks hands down this is one of the best Hoth Type Environment Dioramas these eyes have witnessed and you know what is saying a lot when it comes to me and my favorite environment. I know I just posted on this yesterday, but couldn't resist showing you the final version too. Ron, you are a worker of Star Wars Diorama Magic!

"Hey guys, I don't know if I've mentioned it, but I'm a VERYYYYYYY big Call of Duty fan, and have been playing the games for years with family members. For some time now, I've been seeing other people make "Call of Duty" figures, and have been wanting to do so, to represent myself and my 2 cousins, for the clan that we play in. I decided to finally get off my butt and do, and here they go. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed making them (and enjoyed playing the game). May I present....clan SMDB (don't ask)." You can even own these if you like them a lot!

Help Frank Diorio make CV the best Diorama Workshop ever!
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, March 7 2015

Clonehead shows us his final entry for the latest custom challenge...
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, March 5 2015
"Down to the wire here, like some others, I ran out of time. I did get some more detail painting done on Cody but had wanted to dress up either of these two bases as a suitable diorama for him. Ahh, I'll re visit these bases at a later date. I am awed and inspired by what the other entrants have shown and am proud to have been able to show with such wonderful talent and imagination, especially after a good sized dry spell. I'm anxious to dive into another 6 inch project." Clint, I couldn't have said it better myself in regards to the wonderful six inch customs we have seen as a result of this. Stay tuned folks I am getting a voting thread created so we can pick our favorite! I do aim to dole out a few prizes for this work!

Spuda Fett finishes his Custom E7 X-Wing Build...
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, March 5 2015
"Finished. Not perfect, but I'm happy with it. I know I took some design liberties with the back end and the wings to some extent to accommodate the transformation of this model. However, I look at this as maybe a transitional model between what we see in the OT and the new movies. I also never understood why the astro-mechs were left exposed like they were in the OT models, so I think the little shield/canopy over it makes sense." I think it turned out great Devin.

Frank Diorio sends word about the C7 Diorama Workshop!
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, March 5 2015
"D’Iorio has been leading the Diorama Builders’ area since Celebration II in 2002. He and his group are some of the very first fans who started to make Celebrations “By the Fans; For the Fans.” Each Celebration they have planned and created the experience around a certain location in the Star Wars galaxy, and this time they are building Bespin.

As in past years, the Diorama Builders get lots of great donations from Hasbro to populate the final display. However if you have attended a Star Wars Celebration in the past, you know even that isn’t enough due to the huge size of the diorama that the fans create!

“This is where the Star Wars fans have come in full force every Celebration,” says D’Iorio, and how you can directly help in making this year’s creation another huge success. If you have any figures or ships that were seen in The Empire Strikes Back, or even any Hasbro figures from other Star Wars scenes that maybe are “vacationing” on Bespin, please send them to our Diorama Builders Figure Fund at the address below:”

Frank Diorio

c/o Celebration Anaheim Diorama Figure Fund
6318 Camino Marinero
San Clemente‎, CA‎
92673 USA

Please make sure your figures reach the Diorama Figure Fund before April 12, 2015.

All Star Wars toys donated by fans and by Hasbro will be placed in the final display and be given away to the kids who helped build the diorama during the dismantling of Bespin Sunday afternoon.

“Everything is given to the kids, nothing comes home with me or the Diorama Workshop Staff,” stresses D’Iorio. “The kids, staff and I thank you for your generosity. Star Wars fans truly are the best!”

For full coverage before and after the show, make sure visit DioramaWorkshop.com."

Hulk smash for the latest Most Wanted Collectibles Update!
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, March 4 2015
A KOTOBUKIYA Japanese import! Hulk smash! Kotobukiya's hit Marvel Comics ARTFX+ series has brought fans Avengers straight out of the comics, and now it turns to the big screen with the upcoming mega-blockbuster Avengers: Age of Ultron. Two mighty characters start the new collection with the return of the angry green monster, HULK! The fully powered version of gamma-irradiated Bruce Banner (portrayed in the Avengers films by Mark Ruffalo), the Hulk is an unstoppable titan of rage and ferocity who's just as much a threat to his allies as he is to his enemies.

Don't make him angry! Unrestrained and fully unleashed, Bruce Banner has left the building and the Hulk is in control. The massive green-skinned monster hurtles into battle, thick legs pumping and his enormous hands squeezed into fists to pummel anything that tries to stop him. The Hulk conveys a huge presence with his heroic proportions and rippling physique that stands out with every muscle on display. The Avenger is fantastically detailed with intricate anatomy down to his sinews and veins, all topped off by a fierce facial sculpt that captures the character's never-ending rage! This time around the Hulk does things a little differently, wearing high tech red-striped purple shorts rather than the traditional tattered pants.

Sculpted by the same master artist who did the Avengers Marvel Now series, Junnosuke Abe (RESTORE), the new Hulk stands 9 ½ inches tall (in the ARTFX+ 1/10th scale) as he charges into the fray. He strides powerfully across a brick street, destroying the surface as he goes with every step of his massive bare feet. You'll be tempted to place this angry wrecking machine by himself in your collection, but look to the Avengers: Age of Ultron Hulkbuster Iron Man statue; their bases fit together and they create an incredible battle scene!

"Hi All, A bit more of an update, the scout has been attached to the speeder and base and is %85 complete. I always enjoy seeing his updates and this project is extra special!

The Iron Panda finishes his six inch Female Mando...
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, March 4 2015
"I have decided to go for a cold and harsh environment with rocks and dead wood lying around. All the Armor was painted with an airbrush using masking fluid applied with a cut up sponge. I painted some extreme highlights on certain scratched areas to make some scratches appear deeper and more pronounced. The rocks were carved from Styrofoam, the snow is made from microballoons mixed with white glue." He isn't sure this one is epic, but I am gonna have to beg to differ on this one.

A little paint and liberal use of the dremmel and I've got two distinctly different Naboo royal guards." Looks good to me. He also has a great new Bounty Hunter to see.

My Kind of Scum is back with a great update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, March 3 2015
"I had a surprise free day today, so I made it a Star Wars day and finished up some more things that I have been working on for awhile. First up, my take on the Tonnika sisters. Not perfectly screen accurate and I'm still not super happy with them (they need sculpted collars and I'm not 100% pleased with how they're both looking down...) but they've been half finished in my bins for months, so I finished painting them and am calling it good and walking away from them for now. The heads are by I Am Boba Fett. Bodies are both Joe Scarlett bodies - I chose two slightly different bodies to differentiate them even though that isn't screen accurate. I just preferred them that way." Well I would call this a great day. His Rosa the Hutt is just fantastic too!

The Iron Panda with an update to his six inch Gal Mando!

Tankster is back with Master Splinter...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, March 2 2015
"My Custom Classic Master Splinter an amalgamation of all Splinters in one. I wanted to make this fit as well as I could with the newer turtles used a 2003 splinter mixed with a unknown DC super hero body I had. The feet are from a DR Who Werewolf figure since the main body was pretty much the color he wore in the Turtle Cartoon it made it easier to paint. His staff was made from Electrical tape and a wooden dowel. I then re-painted all the grey parts like the head, hands feet and tail to match the original toon colors." The result is fantastic folks.

Smeagol92055 reviews Elite Force as Custom Fodder....
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, March 2 2015
"A quick review: the plastic is somewhat cheaper than the Star Wars Black line, though not nearly as cheap as other knock-off figures I've seen. The heads aren't ball-jointed, the joints are tight in their sockets and in danger of popping out if turned too quickly (which, coupled with the cheaper plastic, might equal a sheared-off limb or head if posed too many times), the paint apps aren't the best, but honestly, considering what I've seen from Hasbro of late, they're not that bad. A derpy eye here or there, but overall they're pretty clean-looking." Folks that is just the start of his review.

I liked the "greeblie-look" on Boba's Original costume and wanted to duplicate it on the belt, also I wanted an well worn look on the Armor itself. I have to finish the painting still, I haven't done anything to the boots or the belt yet, so I still have some work to do, not to think of a proper Base." Folks trust me the front is just as awesome as the back, but I had to show the paint work so far on that jetpack!
