-- Posted by Clonehead on Tuesday, March 31 2009
I have several current and future custom projects that utilize some of the new Clone Wars figures, and had picked a few of them up last week. After opening them up and getting a good look, I reviewed 4 of them. Find out their strong and weak points and be sure to check out the pictures by clicking into our Hasbro Toy Review board.
Clonehead hits planet comicon kc!!
-- Posted by Clonehead on Monday, March 30 2009
Yesterday, I had the pleasure of representing the Shipyards at the Kansas City Planet Comicon show. I got to meet Peter Mayhew "Chewbacca" and Tom Kane "Clone Wars Yoda" as well as some other celebrities. Needless to say, I had a ball and bought too much from the vendors. Click on into our forums to read my complete report, and be sure to check out all of the pictures.
Clonehead offers one up for grabs!
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, March 28 2009
I reported in a previous news story that you could own your own Clonehead custom with this awesome Clone Wars Boil figure. To make the deal even sweeter, Clint has even offered a discount on the winner of this ebay auction if you are a registered Shipyards Forum Member just by sending him a pm! Don't loose your chance to own a one of a kind custom and don't forget Clint has an ebay store with some custom goodies in it too.

-- Posted by Phatty on Thursday, March 26 2009
Sideshow's first fully armored form has been released, and ISY has updated their Image Guides with shots of him! What do you think, did they hit the mark, or are they lacking anywhere? Click the image above, and let us know what you think!
You have to see it to believe it!
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, March 26 2009
Our Darth C has created a Degobah masterpiece. He took a vintage Degobah playset and just kicked it up a million notches! Ofcourse I am a bit biased when it comes to items from TESB as that is my favorite movie, but you can see his entire construction process in his custom thread. Thanks for the step by step Chad.
EE lists individual figures!
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, March 25 2009
Usually Entertainment Earth sells by the case, but it seems they are selling a few individual figures. Some of the deals are great too! The airborne trooper pictured above, Gree, and the Tri-Droid are only $6.89 and there are better deals than that!
What is your latest score?
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, March 25 2009
I have been searching for a few death star cannons and came across a couple last week on the bay. Have you found any outstanding deals? Let us know in our ebay thread!
Take a look at this!
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, March 24 2009
I still don't believe it, but this is a 7 foot long replica of the Home One Calamari Cruiser from Return of the Jedi. This was made by "Thomas Benedikt using 30,500 (mostly gray!) Lego pieces, and took about 11 months to complete at a cost of $5500." You can also check out his blog pages where you can see this is not his only colossal creation. Hats off to you Thomas!

This one could be yours!

Clonehead has shown us images of his latest custom project: a Clone Wars Boil figure. While it is still in the construction stages for now, we will be sure to post his ebay link when this dude is listed.
Commander Rex is finished!
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, March 23 2009
Clonehead has been busy as usual. We all liked the Fox so much and now he has created a non animated, regular figure version of Commander Rex. Needless to say, it is flawless, especially those eyes! Good work Clint.
New Diorama Pics!!
-- Posted by Clonehead on Saturday, March 21 2009
Everyone knows that I love dioramas. Well, our own Darth C has started a new one that he calls Custom Yoda's Dwelling, and we are all excited to see the evolution of Chad's new project. Click on in and check out his in-progress pictures.
Enter for a chance to win $5,000!
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, March 20 2009
I looks like Cartoon Network has been giving prizes away all week and tonight you have a chance to win $5,000 if you can answer the question, "In the season finale, what did Anakin Skywalker give Padme Amidala?" I am sure your lightsaber mind conjured the answer immediately!
Like we needed to see more!
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, March 20 2009
I think most of us are already eagerly anticipating tonight's season ending "The Clone Wars" episode, but if you are still unsure take a look at the official Star Wars Comic that has been presented featuring a few comic frames taking place in the time period before tonight's Senatorial mayhem. Remember, there will probably be a few of us in the ole Shipyard Chat room while we are watching this show if you want to join us!
We wish you well!
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, March 20 2009
I was just reading an article from scifiwire.com about David Prowse battling prostate cancer. David Prowse is best known for being the actor inside the Darth Vader armor for all of the Original Trilogy films. We here at the Shipyards want to wish him the speediest of recoveries. It looks like his treatments are going well!
Can you help me fix her up?
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, March 19 2009
Look what I just found on the bay. The poor gal looks pretty bad, but a restoration effort has begun! She needs pretty much an entire new front clip minus the side cannons. If you have parts you can part with please let me know in our forums!
Final Episode of The Clone Wars Upon us
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, March 18 2009
Well, it seems like only yesterday that we were watching the first TV episodes of The Clone Wars, but it looks like Friday will be the last for this season. They are introducing a new bounty hunter: Cad Bane who was modeled after, "the bad gunslingers of the old West." Lee Van Cleef was one of my favorite gunslingers and I love the idea of a Star Wars character being patterned after this actor.
BioWare reveals Bounty Hunter Class
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, March 17 2009
If you are waiting for the new MMOG: Star Wars The Old Republic, the wait just got a little harder. A new Bossk-style Bounty Hunter class is the third to be revealed by BioWare, following the obvious Jedi and Sith classes. Don't forget about the official site for news on this game as well.
Mark Hamill doing voice-overs
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, March 16 2009
Looks like Mark Hamill has continued his role as the Joker is the new video game "Batman: Arkham Asylum." Batman's Invisible Predator stealth combat techniques look pretty cool to me. For more info, read CNET's full article as well as check out the gameplay video.
Another review is up!
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, March 16 2009
This time Clonehead reviews the Trade Federation Armored Assault Tank. He seems to like this one. Other than a lever that doesn't do all it is intended, he gives this one a thumbs up!
Looks like Mace is the star tonight!
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, March 13 2009
Well I guess tonight is the second to last episode of the first TV season of the animated Clone Wars. Tonight's episode, "Victory on Ryloth," showcases some major ground action, which suits ole Tamer just fine. There is also the added introduction of a major season two player: Cad Bane. It is one none of us wants to miss.
MTV releases TV Show news
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, March 13 2009
A recent interview with actress Rose Byrne let slip that Team Lucas is casting a wide net for actors to join the show. “A lot of my friends have been auditioning for it,” she said. So, we may only be a year or so away from yet another Star Wars TV show!
Already at work on another!
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, March 12 2009
There is definitely no stopping our Clonehead. Now he is working on a custom Commander Rex! I am loving the progress so far. Clonehead is just meticulous when it comes to getting things just right.
What do you make of this?
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, March 12 2009
We have all taken the ebay walk to see if there are any good Star Wars deals and I came across this AT-AT Lego Built it yourself CD today. It sure does sound like a nice way to build a Lego Walker, but should buyers beware? Please let us know if you find any strange, interesting, or outrageous deals (good and bad) in our forums.
Clonhead gives us another review!
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, March 11 2009
This time he is showcasing the Saga Legends Arc Trooper Commander figure. This red version of the Arc Commander has a few issues with helmet and head size according to our Clonehead.
Fox with support Clones ready for inspection!
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, March 10 2009
Clonehead has finished up his Fox team. Needless to say this time we all feel that our Clonehead outdid himself. It was sure interesting to see these troopers evolve from regular figures into the custom artwork only Clint could create.
Phatty adds more Marvel Reviews!
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, March 10 2009
I am really liking the new Marvel Section that Phatty just started and this new Human Torch is an excellent example of some of the new Marvel offerings. Phatty even has a SW plan cooked up for this little item. Don't forget to view the Marvel Review Section to see all the new additions!
Talk about a great imagination

Clonehead was doing a little surfing and came across this RPG website that has some awesome characters and vehicles, including this Panzer Walker! If you love alternate history like I do, you can appreciate the appliation.
Going custom crazy again

George talks about the current economic crisis
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, March 7 2009
The creator of our favorite movies has chimed in on his views of the current economic situation. I am not so sure he didn't cause himself one(a crisis) as I read the full transcript of this interivew he has with CSN news. When you have to have a spokesperson later clarify your comments, chances are pretty good you didn't do so hot.
Sweet Clonehead Custom
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, March 6 2009
Highlighting a few features of our new customs section is a major gallery of Clonehead featuring some of the most unique custom Clone / Imperial Troopers the Star Wars World has seen. This great Firing Jet Backpack Clonetrooper is one we can only hope Hasbro will make for us one day. Be sure to take a look at Clonehead's full gallery as it is just amazing to see all of his creations.
MonstersandCritics.com gives us a preview of tonight's episode!
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, March 6 2009
Tonight's Clone Wars episode, "Innocents of Ryolith" looks to be ground based in nature after last week's awesome space battles. I for one am hoping we see some great ground pounding action tonight too. Dave Filoni, director for this episode, says the inspiration for this came from the movie "The Guns of Navarone" which shows how the plight of war affects regular civilians. Read the monstersandcritics.com article for the full scoop.

We have added a third column!
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, March 5 2009
While it is not yet "fully operational" we have added quite a few new items to the Yards. Many of them will offer Shipyard members the chance to upload pics of thier collections, dioramas, customs, and artwork. We have also added an image gallery and Phatty is hard at work adding more.
New Hasbro reviews are up
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, March 5 2009
Clint has been busy as usual and now he has reviewed the new republic cruiser in the titanium line. While he was excited to get this ship, it seems in hand it has a few shortcomings. You will have to read his review to get the full scoop. He has also added a review of the new Anakin Delta Jedi Starfighter. Thanks for the reviews Clonehead!
Anakin Delta Jedi Starfighter is up for order!
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, March 5 2009
Clonehead put me onto the fact that we already have a repaint of Obi-Wan's Delta Jedi Starfighter. Does this mean we will get more of this ship with the various Jedis that flew them? Time will tell, but chances are good we will be seeing a lot more of this offering in the future. Let us know what you think about this ship and future repaints in our forums!
Darth Revenge hits French Migennes Collector convention!
-- Posted by Clonehead on Monday, March 2 2009
Our own Darth Revenge and his two daughters had a table set up at the Migennes Collector 09 show in France this weekend. From the looks of things, it was an impressive event, to be sure! Check out his great report and stunning pictures in our Conventions & Events board.
