He has really pulled out all the stops for this one. I can't wait to see how this turns out with paintwork!

"Hi All,
Medieval Knight, Livonian Order. 1:35 scale.
Recipe.
Knight - I got it from Myminifactory as a resin STL file and it is 28mm and I resized it to 1:35 scale and link is below, and I painted and weathered him using Vallejo Paints and Pastel chalks. I'm still learning how to add supports so when I removed them from the helmet, I left two little dents so I got a model knife and made them into damaged sections. https://www.myminifactory.com/.../Northern%20Crusades...
Base - is an old Star Wars Bandai figure base and I added balsa wood on the sides. The dirt is a mix of real dirt/sand/blended mulch mixed with dark brown paint then painted and weathered. The rocks were done using kitty litter and the grass tufts are from Gamers Grass.

"I have been adding in all the wood sections for the wall. I used a metal brush to get the wood effect and brushed up and down over the foam until I got the effect needed."

"More cantina updates. Bar light hood update. Some stretch goal items. First is exterior elements for the entryway. There will be a door included for the doorway on the left. The hitching posts be also be available separately. Prototype drink cart. Last stretch goal is the a large backroom expansion with two rooms (shown in grey). One being the Wookiee owner's office with new desk and chair and possibly a few other small items. The other room is storage and utility and will include a few items TBD. The center rear will include what I currently sell called "spaceport door"."
Looks like it is gonna be spot on awesome.

"Quick and easy - Lightly Dremeled a Bespin Lando head to fit an X-wing Luke's neck barbell. I painted the neck with the same mix as the previous Lando customs. Kept Lando's DH17 and Luke's helmet. The helmet fits, but it's not easy to remove."

"Started work again on my tavern, I’ve been busy printing off barrels and crates for the past week but tonight I’ve been able to work on the shell of the tavern. I have marked out the floorboards, and the fireplace, to get a grain effect for the wood I have used a wire brush. Cut a hole in the floor for the trapdoor."
Love seeing how his three D printing coincides with what dio piece he is working on. He is really complementing his work with all his printed pieces.

"Somewhere or another, I came across this box of battery operated EL wire. This pack was to be worn with the battery pack at a party or rave. The wire requires an alternating current to work so a controller of some type is always included. I have seen 5 volt and 12 volt versions."
See what he was able to achieve with it. He is really using such awesome lighting work to really kick up his Aracde quite a few notches!

Recipe.
Mech/Pilot - are from Skullforge and are resin kits, link below and I painted and weathered using Vallejo Paints and the decals from Hasegawa Maschinen Krieger kits. https://skullforgestudios.gumroad.com/
Base - is high density foam cut to shape and the groundwork is a mix of mulch/sand/dirt, and the grass tufts are from Gamers Grass and the bushes are from Woodland Scenics.

It, again, has been a while since my last post. Here is a work in progress with one portion complete.

I couldn't see buying the set on Hasbro Pulse and so I just bought 7 Figrin D'an figures as they came up on sale on Amazon. I had some extra instruments from one of the old sets of Modal Nodes. I didn't like the drum instrument in the Hasbro Pulse set so I made a different one that looks more percussion like.
I'm currently working on Tech Mo'r's ommni box so that he has a seating position and a larger instrument than what came with the early Modal Nodes set. Enjoy!"

"That last shot shows the marquee in the dark, it’s worth the wait.
I had been working on this thing for a day straight not liking how it looked and then when I turned the lights out, I liked it a lot more and had a more clear picture of how I wanted to direct light placement and transfer” by way of the glass or possibly some fiber optics thrown in” and, that campfire effect, probably, and some white."

"I decided to turn this into a fantasy tavern. I have carved the bottom of each wall in four rows of bricks and then marked up where the wood beams will be placed.
I have been busy printing off accessories for the tavern, so far I have printed 5 barrels and 4 crates of various sizes. Currently, I am printing off a double-sided door (not my usual thing, but I want to incorporate prints not just as accessories but integrated into the build), which may lead me to make this a double-sided diorama.
Currently, my LARP Turtles are modelling for me during the early stages of this build.
My next step is to mark out the floor either with floorboards or flagstones."
It is definitely taking shape and his printing is looking great too.

" I've started reworking my Wacky Packages Bodega, using the Mini Brands shelves. I bought the grocery store kit and the convenience store kit, and kind of mashed them up. I used foamcore for the walls and XPS foam for the floor. Painted with white paint and modge podge and weathered using WS watercolor. The decals and back door are from relivingthepastagain on ebay, along with some other decals I had. Just need to make a few final touches and the interior is done. I'll use the same exterior I started on, a long time ago."
Looks like a fun place to me.

"Hi All,
Imperial Navy Commando Commander 1:12 scale.
Recipe.
Figure - the resin parts are from Syndicate Customs https://syndicatecustoms.com.au/ and the prints are awesome I highly recommend their products. The body is a knock stormtrooper which has had his body/legs/arms all sanded down then a jumpsuit was made using some old cotton shorts and then the armour was attached over the body and the figure was painted and weathered using Vallejo Paints.
Base - is high density foam and the walls were printed by a friend and painted using Vallejo Paints and the floor was painted black and then clear contact was attached to the floor while the paint was drying to adhere better.

"I have been experimenting with a new lighting technique that I felt I needed to share straightaway. I had been looking for diffuser material like cotton for the LED nano lights I had mounted behind the coin doors on T2.
Instead I tried something completely different…..I deflected,reflected,and magnified the light by using broken shards of glass mounted in front of the LED nanos. I think this technique would work well for augmenting an led fire effect both inside a scale building and out. For a campfire, you could mount actual shards of glass vertically and light them to look like convincing animated flames licking up."

Apologies for my absence, after getting a 3D printer earlier this year, I have spent SOOO much time learning how to use the thing! They are not as straightforward as you would think!
I’ve started a new diorama today, I wanted to make a fantasy dio but I’m in two kinds whether to make either a tavern or warehouse based on Dungeon & Dragons online game.
I’ve put together a basic structure while I decide which way to go. Each wall is 11” high, 2 walls are 23” long and the other 2 walls measure 20”. Each wall is held together using magnetic tape and the floor is going to be made up of two pieces, making it easier to store."

"The Dark Palace is a new build that I'm adding to War logic http://warlogic.ca diorama sets. The full complex will include the fort, weapons' factory, and waste/mines fields. Since WarLogic is an integrated gaming system, it needs all sorts of complex dioramas to make use of different elevation, obstacle, command and control, line of sight, and found treasure rules.
The Dark Palace is a mix of Science Fantasy, MOTU, WH40K, Egyptian, Sorcery, and a lot of darkness. As usual the main ingredients are junk, thrift stores, and dollar stores provisions.
I'm adding castle grey skull to the complex but it needs some black oil wash to get it to the same tone of the tower at the top."

"Shocker... here's another Twi'lek ;D
I didn't change much on the body for this one because I've always liked how it looks but for the head of this figure I combined POTF Oola headtails with a TVC Barriss Offee headsculpt. I sculpted the headpiece with Green Stuff and completely wiped and repainted the face and headtails with Model Master paints.
The new paint job makes the Barriss face sculpt look completely different:
For the body, (TCW Cato Parasitti) I removed the weird shoe-cover armor and repainted the hands to match the skin tone and have brown gloves instead of black to better match the rest of the suit."
