Ron Hembling starts a new project...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, December 29 2015
"Hi All,

Now that I have completed all my commissions I now have time to all my own builds that I have been wanting to do.

Ever since I picked up some Figma Skeletons last year I have been wanting to do a dead sandtrooper skeleton in his armour and this small dio depicts just that.

I have used parts from the Figma Skeleton and used all parts excpet for the inner body parts of the Bandai Sandtrooper. I still have to build up the dio and paint and weather it and also paint and weather the figure and armour and gun.

Ron"

Wow, I just love skeletons, zombies, etc. as applied to Star Wars. It will be great to see him finish this up and work on the builds he wants for awhile!

- filled out pupils
- painted silver details on backpack
- painted goggles

Enjoy!"

Jaeger45 is back with a great construction droid...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, December 29 2015
"J12 Heavy Construction Droid

The Roche Collective had high hopes for their first attempt at a protocol droid, the poorly named J9 worker droid. When dismal sales figures failed to meet initial projections, The Collective was faced with a daunting task: salvage the floundering robotics division from financial ruin.

Roche engineers discovered they had one key advantage. The massive inventory on unsold J9s meant an abundant supply of advanced Arjan II logic processors. After a few initial false starts, the Roche design team realized its speed and memory could be retasked to the schematics, logistics, and implementation of spacecraft and platform design.

For a power core, engineers paired this with the BPR-99 fusion reactor, and mounted it on a multilegged chassis for stability in zero-grav and hostile environments. Bilateral hard-mounted arc welders and a customizable tool system including a plasma cutter/incinerator and power demolition claw complete the package.

Presenting... The J12 Heavy Construction Droid"

Wow, what a great addition to our SW Verse!

Sideshow Collectibles is proud to present the Exclusive Imperial TIE Fighter Pilot Sixth Scale Figure from Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope.

Interchangeable wrist gauntlets allow dexterity for handling TIE Fighter controls, and positive gravity pressure boots keep him grounded in all situations. Although typically found in the cockpit, Sideshow’s Exclusive TIE Fighter Pilot also comes armed with a ‘retro’ inspired blaster – a nostalgic feature Star Wars collectors are sure to enjoy. Ready to serve the Galactic Empire with honor and distinction, the Imperial TIE Fighter pilot is an exceptional addition to any Star Wars military collection!"

Jetpack Blues works on Zuvio...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, December 28 2015
"Just a quick piece of work on Constable Zuvio. some very minor weathering and some facial reworking. I really like the figure but from the images of him from the movie (before he was cut out) he seemed to have bigger eyes, so I apparently had to give him bigger eyes."

And his eyes certainly look a lot better to me too. Kind of a shame we see an action figure for a film that didn't make the film when there are so many characters that were in the films that didn't get an action figure?

"MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL!!!

Here is a custom Star Wars SANTA YODA figure that I made recently. I sculpted all of the white fur on his coat and hat, his hat, his candy cane, his belt buckle, and made his belt from vinyl. I cut off and re-positioned Santa Yoda's left hand. All joints of this Yoda figure were glued into place, sculpted over with greenstuff to hide any sign of posability on this figure. I hand painted the candy cane and the rest of this custom Santa Yoda figure."

"With baby preparations and Fallout 4 eating all my time I've put very little of it aside fr customs. But, between my obsession with Fallout 4, and Fallout in general hence my last few customs I decided to start work on everyone favorite Synth."

Well first of we here at ISY want to wish him a hearty congratulations on the upcoming addition to his family and then we like the update!

Ron Hembling shows us a great cloth effect...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, December 22 2015
"I have added the cloth look to Fett by using tissue paper which I mix some water with PVA glue and then wipe it over the figure and then apply the tissue paper with small dabs until it adheres and then you can start molding it into the creases."

Now that is one cool way to give hard plastic the cloth look. Great tip Ron!

Ajunta Pall is back with a multiple customs update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, December 22 2015
"I never posted this one he sold before I could get him up, here's my custom GM Luke Skywalker. I have another one I'm working on his cloak now."

That is one great looking Grand Master. I am guessing Hasbro is gonna have to give us one of these one of these days!

Jaeger45 is back with 3 new customs...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, December 22 2015
"Next up, a trio from the cantina: Atheloe, Tawss Khaa, and Ownellco.

Mosep's alter ego is, by now, a fairly well-known recipe; simply shave the topknot, fill, and repaint. The two Lutrillians use slightly modded head sculpts from I-Am-Boba-Fett, modded Willrow Hood torso and legs, Captain Antilles jacket, and Biggs Darklighter arms."

They look very nice to me! Just great additions to the Cantina.

Spuda Fett is back with a Finn Mod...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, December 21 2015
"I saw the movie. loved it. Knew immediately I had to do a custom Finn with his armor from the first battle.

I knew others had done the basic headswapping. I was pleased to find out the neck ball for the trooper body fit's Finn's head perfectly. I then took the trooper head and hollowed it out with the dremel until it fit over finn's head. Unfortunately fitting it over Finn's head distorts the helmet a little and makes it look skinny...

I then weathered it and added the bloody finger streaks."

I sure like the look!

Fiala Fernbrugg is back with a Clone Trooper AT-AT Pilot!
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, December 21 2015
"Clone trooper AT-AT pilot

AT-AT Clone Wars origin and development

It is just fantastic folks. Fantastic!

Jaeger45 is back!
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, December 21 2015
"Ok, finally getting around to photographing a few projects.

First up, a trio of fresh recruits for the Endor Express.

Planning on printing a water slide decal for their shoulders. For those of you who Rit dye plastic, there is now a Rit for synthetic fabrics, locally available through Hobby Lobby, that works much better. Previously, I really struggled with blues."

Well he sure isn't struggling with the blues anymore!

Ron Hembling starts a new 6" Project...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, December 21 2015
"Little progress on the diorama.

The base is made up of three Bandai Star Wars stands and has had a frame work of balsa wood added to it and the I used foamcore and plasti card ato build the rest of the base up.

I have also glued Fetts joints togther except the neck and head and I will start painting him and Han up in the next day or two."

It is already looking great to me.

JDeck shows us his latest WW2 Mash Up...
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, December 20 2015
"I have 90 percent of the build done. I need to add a few small details and the canopy which will be framed in like the WW2 Junkers aircraft. I added some big freggin guns and finished adding the drop bombs. I think its starting to look cool, I'm a huge fan of dieselpunk art."

I am enjoying his Star Wars World War II combinations. I think he is really capturing the look of both genres well.

Here is my spoiler free review of The Force Awakens...
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, December 19 2015
For those who have followed me over the years you know I am gonna give it to you straight. I don't gloss or make excuses or sugarcoat much. It just isn't my style. That being said, I am gonna do anything but criticize Episode VII.

Folks, we are introduced to a new line up of heroes and characters and I felt like I did when I watched A New Hope. Rey, put simply, is just tough and charismatic and does it with a feminine charm that in my opinion is gonna finally break the hero vs. heroine stereotype that female actors have fought against for years.

Was the movie perfect? No. Would any movie have been perfect with what we fans expect from our most beloved film franchise? No. Still, I think JJ and the gang treated our story and our characters with class and I would like to publicly thank them (Disney, Lucasfilm, etc.) for their effort on our (the fans) behalf. That being said, read my full review if you would like and I would love to read yours (spoiler free for the moment) if you would share.

A Second Life for Star Wars Sets!
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, December 18 2015
"Hi, Shawn, —

I wanted to put a beautiful new Star Wars documentary released yesterday in front of you in the hopes of getting it the audience it deserves: Filmmakers Matt Ford and Tara Todras-Whitehill's interactive look at the Star Wars sets in Tunisia.

http://starwarstunisia.com/

Please check it out — It’s more than a normal documentary. It’s interactive — you can click around, explore the sets, meet the people trying to preserve them, and dive deep into the following they attract from all over the world. It contains more than 30 minutes of exclusive footage (even an interview with George Lucas’s driver on the original film).

We’re so happy for Matt and Tara — and, as I said, we’d LOVE to get their great work in front of people who will like it. I hope you can help by sharing it with whoever you think would enjoy the film."

Folks, it is definitely something we need to be aware of and share so we can protect of beloved film's legacy! Please watch and then share!

"Go see it, my friends, go see it many times."
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, December 17 2015
The Force Awakens Reviews are starting to pour in, mostly from our Yardbirds across the pond like the quote from my pal Remco (Mr. Black) that you see above. Matter of fact read a bit more of his spoiler free reaction to the new movie:

"I saw it last night. Still reeling from it. To say J.J. Abrams and his cast and crew didn't disappoint is a huge understatement. Han's quote "... we're home" applies not only to him and his best pal, but also to Star Wars as a film franchise. Fast paced, awesome effects (both cgi and practical) and fun! Man, did we laugh out loud on more than one occasion! Go see it, my friends, go see it many times. I know I will."

I am sitting on pins and needles as I am writing this and to reflect a bit before seeing it am feeling so much more energized than I was before the Prequels. I am not bashing them mind you as I was excited for that too, but this really does feel like coming home! Make sure you let us know your review and reaction to the new movie as you see it right here. And please keep it spoiler free for the foreseeable future as we do not want to ruin this experience for anyone before they too see it.

"A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, two unforgettable droids put an adventure in motion that would change the galaxy forever! Sideshow Collectibles is proud to present the R2-D2 and C-3PO Premium Format™ Figures.

R2-D2

Carrying an important message from Princess Leia, Artoo joins the Rebel mission aboard a Millennium Falcon inspired base. Built with screen accurate details, a weathered finish and light up features, the feisty blue and white astromech is standing by for a game of holographic chess or to repair a hyperdrive.

C-3PO

Built with screen-accurate mechanical detailing and light up eyes, this is Threepio’s moment to shine, with a fantastic weathered metallic gold and silver finish. Calculating the odds of a successful mission, the always proper, yet overly anxious protocol droid gestures in concern to his unseen Rebel companions aboard a Millennium Falcon inspired base.

Essential additions to any Star Wars collection, these are the droids you’ve been looking for!"

It sure makes sense to get em at two per deal!

Eric sends new information from Hole in the Ground Productions!
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, December 16 2015
"I have a couple new diorama parts that will be coming soon. First are generator boxes. These are seen at the Lars homestead as well as around Mos Eisley. They will be sold in a set of 2 unique generators. Second are chairs seen in the command center of Echo Base. Both of these items I’ve wanted to get around to for quite some time. Third item is a doorway and door (two separate pieces) for the starship wall (Tantive) corridor. I noticed that many of the recent orders I received for starship walls also included a spaceport door which looks similar to the Tantive door. I want to let everyone know that you don’t have to cobble your own together because it IS going to be offered before long. These three new items may or may not be up for order before Christmas."

Isn't it great to be able to get some of these dio pieces!

Top 10 in toys for girls this year!
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, December 15 2015
I do have to admit that with the excitement of the new film coming out this week I have not yet shared my even further happiness with the fact that my own daughter is now after me for Star Wars Toys. I have always tried to steer her to the SW Aisle when we go shopping, but now she is steering me there. Between Phasma and Rey I can't keep up. Bravo to whomever at Lucasfilm and Disney and Hasbro and all the other licensees for giving us these female characters to get so we can encourage the gals in our lives to pursue this hobby too.

Mandalore25 is back with his finished version of Zora Link...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, December 15 2015
"This is the final version of Zora Link, and my first 6in figure! 16 hours of love wrapped up in this one, and I don't think I could be more pleased (well maybe if I could do the guitar yet). He has hand sculpt features from head to toe, and a finished cloth skirt for no fraying, or motion hindrance. The pair of fins come off, and on by magnet, for maximum convenience. Lastly he comes with a clear stand I painted with clear blue to simulate water, for holding him upright, or in a swimming pose. If your going to paint using Tamiya sprays, I do suggest a brushed on clear coat, the heat from my hands, with the oils from my clay, made the parts I held while working on him sticky, but the clear coat, both stopped it, and prevented it from happening any further. Looking into some new sprays for my endeavors into 6in figures, and one is a dye, not a paint.

And if anyone is interested, he's listed here."

That some pretty good tips on the painting there for a great looking finished custom.

I have really wondered how Ron displays all his wonderful dioramas and custom figures so I asked yesterday and he promptly showed me. Talk about some magic on the shelf and I ain't talking about no elf!

Thanks for the pictorial answer Ron. It is quite beautiful to see all those works in one place!

Ron Hembling adds the dio for his Shadowtrooper...
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, December 13 2015
"Here are my usual outdoor pics.

Recipe

Trooper - is from Bandai and has the pauldron is from the Bandai Sandtrooper kit and the ammo pouches are from the Hasbro Sandtrooper, I used cloth instead of balloons to cober up the joints.

The trooper was given a coat of medium grey and then sprayed metallic black, I then gave it chipped armour by dapping flat black and then a mix of silver and black were I first dapped the flat black.

Base - is from the Bandai trooper kit, I added balsa wood sides and then built the wall using plasti card and greeblies from my bits box. The containers are asthma puffers which I cut the plastic top off and added 1/72 tank parts to the top. The tubes running across the floor are from an old cables I had in the cupboard.

The base was sprayed dark grey and then drybrushed medium grey and then drybrushed again with light grey and then a mix of light grey/flat black and gun metal was used to give the wall a old weathered look."

What can I say about Ron that I haven't already? He just rocks whatever he works on.

JDeck finishes his WW2 AT-ST!
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, December 13 2015
" I think I'm finished with the paint on my AT-ST. Its a little funky, but I was going for the Stalingrad look. I've done a Winter walker before but I wanted this one to be more badass. If your not familiar with WW2 winter camouflage, the German soldiers would paint their tanks with an army issued white wash that was water soluble, so when it rained in the spring the paint would wash off. That's what I was looking to accomplish. I gave it reconaissance tactical symbols, 24th panzer division markings, balken crosses, as well as the red turret numbers. "

I think it turned out pretty cool!

Next, a new generation TIE Interceptor; smaller, and with different wing panels

Finally, a small TIE Boarding shuttle with tri-wing design and 3 small autoblaster turrets. Hope you guys enjoyed them!"

Ron Hembling finishes up his Shadow Trooper...
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, December 11 2015
"I have completed the Shadow Trooper and decided to give him less silver over the helmet and just keep it simple. I also gave him a good battle weathered look by giving his armour chipped paint over his suit.

Instead of the Balloon covers for the joints I gave him cloth joint covers, The base is something that I just made up in about 2 hours and the canisters are empty asthma buffers. All I have to do now is paint the base and the canisters."

It looks pretty daggone nice to me!

JDeck is wowing me with his WW2 Mash Ups!
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, December 10 2015
"I got most of the turret finished, I may add some rivets in certain places. It has the Tiger cupola, a few access panels, smoke grenades, things like that. I also rebuilt the weapons, which I'll get into the specifics on later. It looks a little funky now but when its all painted it'll be better. If anyone is interested I can show how I make my rivets."

Well yes, I am sure interested. He is showing weld marks, etc. and I am loving every second of the build. He has mashed together a bunch of different models to make this build possible. You gotta appreciate the finer points of this one too.

Darth Crassus is back with a Tartakovsky Update!
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, December 10 2015
"I've always been a big fan of the Hawkbat Battalion Clone Troopers from the Genndy Tartakovsky Clone Wars show.

I decided to make a custom version. I just used a Tamiya weathering kit to add some sand and dirt to the legs, then a poncho from an eBay seller. Quick and simple!

I decided to go with a lighter shade of brown than what we saw in the cartoon, partly because the characters in the show look like they're in the shade."

I will see if I can find word out on the eBay Seller. It looks like something rickhor409 would sell. I too really love the Tartakovsky Clone Wars Series. The Clones looked so tough in it.

Mandalore25 is back with some progress on his Zora Link...
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, December 10 2015
"Falling a little behind on figures, got sick the beginning of last week, then my fiancee cam home for the weekend, but I drown myself in work to get this good update. Zora Link himself is done, and has come quite a ways from the Marvel legends Iron Fist I started with. I'm very pleased with him, and think I did the character justice. For sure I'll do a set of detachable fins yet, maybe his guitar too."

That is a pretty dramatic change is it not! Nice work M25, you brought that project home well.

Gentle Giant unveils a Gamestop Exclusive Darth Vader Mini-Bust!
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, December 10 2015
"Once a powerful Jedi Knight, Darth Vader was consumed by the Dark Side of the Force to become a dreaded Sith Lord of the Galactic Empire. Enforcing the evil will of the Emperor, Vader seeks to crush the Rebellion and turn Luke Skywalker to the Dark Side - as he once was.

Depicted as he appears in Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, the Gentle Giant Ltd. 1:6 Darth Vader Classic Bust combines the timeless aesthetics of sculpture from Greek and Roman antiquity, with one of popular cultures most recognizable characters.

Each limited edition hand-painted polyresin bust comes individually numbered and is paired with a matching certificate of authenticity."

I have to say, at $80 where are the arms?

BDC41866 is back with an EU Update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, December 10 2015
"Ive been reading several of the Edge of the Empire/Age of Rebellion sourcebooks from Fantasy Flight games, lots of great material and illustrations. I really wish too that the Level 1313 game would have been produced. Anyway, Im inspired now to do some underworld characters. First up is an Aqualish pitfighter/bounty hunter. More to come."

Yeah, I liked the look and feel of 1313 before it got scraped too. Nice custom figure update.

The Phoenix Suns host Star Wars Night December 11th!
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, December 9 2015
"The Phoenix Suns will host our fifth "Star Wars Night" this Friday, Dec. 11, when we play the Portland Trail Blazers. Although there are quite a few teams hosting these theme nights this season, we were the first NBA team ever to host one back in 2010 after Steve Sansweet and I met at the Star Wars Fan Club Breakfast at San Diego Comic-Con the previous summer. I don't think any other teams do it as big as we do either.

We have also given away some pretty cool Suns/Star Wars collector's items over the years. Last year it was a Death Star basketball and this year, we're giving away a "BBall-8" basketball (see attached) with the purchase of our Star Wars Night ticket package: Suns.com/starwars"

Sounds like a pretty fun time to me. I love the BB-8 basketball!

Spotlight on Custom Artist Ron Hembling...
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, December 9 2015
I have been wanting to do a feature on some of my favorite custom artists over the years and I am starting with one of my favorites Ron Hembling that most of us know as Hemble Creations. He has showcased some fantastic custom work here at ISY over the years and has created a Facebook Page also to exclusively share his work.

From Indiana Jones, custom figures, ships, dioramas, all scales and sizes Ron should be on the cherished list in Australia where he resides. So from all of ISY Ron, we appreciate the sharing of your work and can't wait to see what you show us next! Be sure to check him out on his Facebook Page and tell him the Tamer sent you!

They also have a Rebel Version for those who lack Imperial Entanglements(as if!).

Darth Daddy shares a TFA Update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, December 9 2015
"Nothing too intensive needed to create this custom action figure. In fact, you can probably make this figure in less than a minute. All you need is the new Black Series Kylo Ren figure that is exclusive to Wal-mart and the head and plastic cloak from the Armor-Up Kylo Ren action figure. With a few seconds of drilling to expand the hole on the Armor-Up head, you can do the head swap needed to make this figure. I'm sure a lot of people will be doing this quick modification if they haven't already. The cost for the parts can be a little pricey, but the results are too good to not give it a go!"

I can't argue with his logic on this one, the results speak for themselves.

Foxtrot Delta shows us some custom TFA Vintage Style Cardbacks!

All I have to say is wow! I could have so gotten behind the new Force Awakens Line more if they had showed up on something like this even if the figures are 5poa.

I also have to relate that he made the images large enough for printing so you can get in here and create your own Poe, Phasma, and Snowtrooper custom cards! Now that is the way to introduce yourself!

-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, December 8 2015
"T-82 Twin X-Wing concept and drawing by CamoDeafie

After what felt like an eternity...I'm back with a custom vehicle. The Twin X-Wing was on my wish list since I saw it in CamoDeafie's Sci-Fi drawings topic. His topic is full of very interesting concepts and "ugly"-starfighters.

The Twin X-Wing is inspired by the F-82 Twin Mustang or the Messerschmitt Bf 109 Z (Zwilling). I used two Revell easykit pocket X-Wing snap model kits and bits and pieces for the B-Wing engine. The stand is made with 1, 5mm wire and nutwood."

What a cool vehicle and it is so great to see Christoph back around again!

Sjefke is working magic with his new Groot...
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, December 6 2015
"What with the Holidays and painting my basement, I haven't had a lot of time to get to Groot, but here's some of the progress I've made. He's turning into another Franken-figure.

I wanted to start detailing, but instead made a major structural change in the middle of the build. I just didn't think Chewbacca's torso was beefy enough for Groot. Instead of expanding the Chewbacca torso and shoulders, I found a leftover MU Colossus torso and decided to encorporate that. Here are the WIPs with an exploded view so you can see the inside.

I added ball jointed wrists using Megablock parts. The hands are from a Thor movie Frost Giant and even those seem too small, so I'll either have to enlarge them or find small six inch hands from some other figure.

I also flipped the ankle ball joints and turned them into rocker ankles.

The new head sculpt is coming along too. Sorry for the dark brown color. That was a mistake as it kinda hides the detail."

Folks, seeing believing. Wow!

Ron Hembling finishes us a great Shock Trooper!

Ron Hembling finishes his 6" Imperial Shock Trooper...
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, December 6 2015
This has been a fantastic case of see how much better a custom looks than a standard figure project. His 6" Imperial Shock Trooper blows away the Battlefront Trooper I picked up a few weeks ago.

"Trooper - is from Bandai straight out of the box and I used rubber black balloons to cover the joints up. I used Vallejo, P3 Paints and pastel chalks to weather him.

Base - is the base that comes with the figure and I added balsa wood sides to raise it a little. For the ground work I used a mixer of spakfilla, model railway grass and dirt from the garden and mixed it all together and once mixed I then added PVA and Dark brown paint.

Once the ground work was dry I then used model railway grass to add an extra layer and then used plastic fish tank plants which I gave a medium green wash to and then attached them to the base. The small tufts of grass are from Army painter which were attached by adding a small amount of superglue."

Click here to see the entire project and even more great images!

Zak showcases Star Wars Tiny Chef Line...
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, December 4 2015
"Tiny Chef Activity Sets Now Feature Kids’ Favorite Characters

Showing kids just how fun cooking can be is a great way to get them involved in the kitchen and open the door to a culinary appreciation that could last a lifetime. Last year, Zak Designs launched the Tiny Chef activity sets as a way to help accomplish that goal, and now Zak is giving kids even more reasons to get in on the fun with new Tiny Chefs sets that feature some of today’s most popular characters.

From rolling pins, cookie cutters, and icing bags to whisks, spatulas and cupcake holders, all of the Tiny Chef activity sets feature kitchen tools that are sized to fit smaller hands and allow kids to be more comfortable using utensils made specifically for them. All of the items in the sets are dishwasher safe and BPA free, and because they feature characters from hit movies such as Frozen, Minions, and Star Wars, they’re as fun as they are functional.

The sets have an SRP of $26.99-$29.99 and they all come in gift boxes to make it easy to give to that budding chef on anyone’s gift list."

I took a look at their site and found a ton of Star Wars Items. Pretty cool if you ask me!

Ron Hembling shows once again why custom is so much better than standard figures...
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, December 4 2015
"Thought I show a little project that I'm doing with a Bandai Stormtrooper which I've nearly completed painting it into a Shocktrooper.

The figure and weapons are straight out of the box and to paint him I used Vallejo paints. I still have a little painting to do on the black areas and then build the base which should be completed on the weekend and then I will get my usual outdoor pics done."

Folks, after getting mine that I found at Wal-Mart a couple weeks back I can say that Ron's totally blows the stock figure away. By a mile!

"Working Hard on Zora Link, sculpt most of the gauntlets, most of the boots, an have the skirt ready to go. Had to call my grandma for how to make the skirt fit around the waist. It's essentially just taking a piece of paper, and drawing a circle for the waist, then measuring the length of the skirt out from that circle, using that point make a bigger circle around the first like a doughnut, and cut out as much of the doughnut as needed to get around the waist with the amount of flare desired to make a pattern."

Sound intricate to you? It sure does me. Click here to go see what he is working on and follow the progress!
