Clonehead gives us yet another update!
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, December 31 2008

I can never see enough of Clint's custom clones and imperial troopers and he has given us another pic update in his customs thread. It must be nice to just build what you want!

Battlefront III image?
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, December 30 2008

I was doing a little surfing and look what I turned up. From what I understand a UK firm that was working on Battlefront III called Free Radical is shutting down. The former artist for Free Radical posted some concept images (since taken down) of some of the upcoming characters. Read the full story from Arstechnica.com.

Order 66 hits the NFL!
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, December 29 2008

While most of us who follow the NFL can probably understand why Romeo Crennel and Rod Marinelli are not liking "Blue Monday", one has to be surprised at the firing of Eric Mangini. I was quite shocked that a young coach with so much potential who turned the Jet's franchise around could be sacked because of the poor play of one "am I going to retire this year" QB, but it has happened. Tell us what you think about this and the upcoming playoffs in our NFL thread.

What's on your bookshelf?
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, December 29 2008

Are you reading anything Star Wars right now? Do you have any questions or critiques regarding your current read? What books are you looking forward too for the new year? Give us your thoughts in the "What are you reading now?" thread.

How will this turn out?
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, December 28 2008

Help our Clonehead finish his modified Clone! He has posted some pics of his latest project in his custom's thread. This modified Cody/Galactic Marine sure does have "tough" written all over him. Be sure to look at Clint's thread to see how this turns out.

Customcloner shows how he got his handle
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, December 27 2008

As his name suggests, our Customcloner knows what he is doing in regards to making some of the greatest clone trooper variations you can fathom. You will have to take a look at the customs thread he started to see even more great clonetroopers. As you will see his helmet mods are ones we can only hope Hasbro will get around to!

Any snow out there Yarders?
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, December 26 2008

Just when you think you have seen everything that can be made Star Wars, something new is added. I found this out while surfing this morning from a site called Wired Blog.com. While this item is out of stock on Amazon.com for now, it seems like more will be available at a later date. For $35 bucks I might buy one!

UPDATE: Guess who came home from Wal-Mart today with one for $30 smackers? Pics are up in our forums.

Clonehead shows some great mods
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, December 24 2008

Clint has given us an early Xmas gift this year with a list and pictures of some of the great helmet mods he has made over the years. Talk about interesting reading, you will need to go through it a few times to see the depth of work that our Clonehead has accomplished. All I can say is hats off to you Clint and thanks again for sharing your great customs pics and information.

How about this Wii?
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, December 23 2008

If you are into "themed" video consoles, this is one you will want to check out. It will set you back $5oo smackers, but will feature a Wiimote and nunchuck. They are also throwing in a free copy of the Force Unleashed. Let us know what you think of this offering in our forums.

Take a look at this Lego Hoth Dio!
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, December 22 2008

Needless to say, if you hit the link attached to the pic above for this news story your jaw dropped. I am still trying to get my jaw reattached! This 60,000 piece Lego Hoth Diorama evidently took over $3,000 smackers and 4 years to complete. It features over 50 LED lights and includes a main bunker scene, an Echo Base hangar scene, and a Bacta Tank scene. If anyone knows of any further web addresses for this awesome dio drop em off in please!

The Lates from Hasbro Q&A!
-- Posted by Phatty on Friday, December 19 2008

What exactly is the "Super Vulture Droid? Will we see a Clone Wars 3D version of Nute Gunray or Wat Tambor? What about a Bacta Tank Grievous? Find the answers to these and more now in our forums!

Clonehead gives us more photos!
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, December 18 2008

Now it is no surprise that I love a "snowy" scene better than any of the others. Clint has made some awesome custom figures that will fit into any colder environment (don't forget to scroll down and see the Snow Mando). His paint applications are so detailed that I cannot fathom how Hasbro has not put him on the payroll. He has also modified some of the existing imperial trooper helmets and accesories to come up with some of the most unique action figures I have ever seen.

London Anyone?
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, December 18 2008

It looks like George is doing a neat project with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Evidently he will combine 13 hours of films into a 90 minute musical performance. It looks like the show will start April 10th with more shows to follow "depending on demand." Check out Entertainment.timesonline.co.uk for the full story.

Need to get a Clone Wars fix over the Holidays?
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, December 17 2008

The entire season of Clone Wars is going to air on Starwars.com and Cartoon Network.com from Monday, Dec. 22nd to Monday, Jan. 5th. It also sounds like each episode will feature a video commentary by supervising director Dave Filoni and a detailed episode guide containing concept art and additional insights into STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS. There are also three online games at Starwars.com if that is not enough. Please remember that the first new episode, "Dooku captured" will air Friday, Jan. 2nd. Use this link from IESB.net if you want to see the full schedule by date.

You could have bought this for $240,000!
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, December 16 2008

It looks like there were some actual movie props, including the one pictured above, that went for mega-dollars at a recent auction held on December 11th. I didn't know this lightsaber was built from an old photography flashgun. Check out Slashgear.com for the full story. What would you want to buy if you could actually buy some of the original Star Wars movie props? Leave your answer in our forums. I am interested to hear what you would want. I bet folks can guess what I would want!

Our own Clonehead has taken a small trip down memory lane and given us some pics of some of his custom "Hoth" figs and the small dios he has made that accompany them. I must say that the one I have is one of my most cherished Star Wars posessions. His attention to detail is phenomenal. Thanks Clint for sharing your pictures with us. Your skill is amazing. Please stop by our forums and see his amazing work!

-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, December 5 2008

It sounds like all is not over for those of you who have finished your Force Unleashed scenarios. It now looks like there will be new missions and new characters. While there hasn't been anything too specific, they did confirm that the new mission(s) will start off from the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. Feel free to read the full story at G4! It also looks like some of this is already available from Xbox Live Marketplace and Playstation Network according to Gamershell.com. Ofcourse check out the forums!

Darth Revenge on the scene!

One of our new forum members Darth Revenge has posted some great pics of a diorama I would love to have the room to build. One sweet Snowy Diorama!
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, December 3 2008

Our own customcloner returned with a vengeance last week and showed off some great images of a new custom snow diorama. He showed some great pics of adding the effects all the way to the end where he added the snow. I must also state that his customized AT-AT driver and Airborne Trooper figure is simply outstanding. Thanks so much CC for sharing your great project with us! I cannot wait to see what you do in the future.

lightsaber made to fight cancer cells?
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, December 2 2008

I was doing a little google searching today and came across this interesting article about a fiber optic lightsaber that could be used to "zap" cancer cells. One can only hope they can get this into operation quickly to help stop that dreaded affliction. Read here for more on this story.
