Phantro Customs shared this great work the other day on our Facebook Page and now I see he has it listed up for sale! I must say it is one of the coolest custom TIE Fighters these eyes have seen and I have seen a few. Don't forget to check out his gallery for even more images as you try to resist adding this one to your custom collection. It comes with a dio, Pilot, stand, etc.
Koth is back with a REBELS Update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, October 31 2015
"I've now had the chance to see Rebels series 1 on DVD and also the trailers for series 2. Here's my rendition of a couple of characters."
They sure do work for me. I would love to see added articulation in this line by Hasbro, but I do like the sculpt work on the characters. Seems a shame to not have both, but I will try not to get started on that this morning.
BDC41866 is back with another update to Big Padawans Customs...

Not a huge description, but the figure is definitely sound. We all need more Rebels in our lives!

This one is even in the older style blue Black Series packaging which from what I understand was supposed to be the rarer of the versions that are out there now. I don't know a whole lot more about that particular rumor, but I do know owning another 6" Furball for that price is definitely worth it!
Darth Streams shows us his final entry...
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, October 30 2015
For our Birthday Custom Challenge,
"All finished on Kylo ren.
Recipe is:
1 warlordarian (stripped of all armor except greaves)
1 kylo ren 5poa figure (head/hood, and shoulder scarf)
some soft goods for waist
most star wars skirts would work, I'm not 100 percent on the origin of that one (I'm sure someone here will know)
Articulation at head, shoulders, elbow, wrist, knee, mid chest, hips, ankles, and legs to hip."
Folks this is exactly as I envisioned when I thought up this birthday challenge. The range of movement is wonderful and his choice of figures to work with was, as usual, impeccable.
Don't forget folks you only have between now and November 9th to post your entry! Read the full details here!
Ron Hembling updates us on his Cantina Dio Progress...
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, October 30 2015
"Did some more to the cantina, I have added the pipes that are behind Solo's head and the table is almost done just needs sanding and the bottom to be sealed more tightly to stop the light glow.
With the table I decided to go with straight lines where the gaps are as the should be curved but I still think they make the tablen look good.
The chairs I have also gone with one longer chair for Solo instead of the single one and gave Greedo the single one. I am making the chairs out of plasti card they will be light weight but strong and sturdy.
I still have some work to do one the longer chair and the small chair I need to add the bottom and the sides."
Folks this is gonna be another one for the record books.
JDeck is back with some custom ewoks...
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, October 30 2015
"For some reason I bought a bunch of sa ewok figures. I dunno, I kind of like the little buggers. But I made a couple customs. One is the pipe smoking one, the other is a background character I always thought looked cool. I might do a cool little ewok village dio/figure display, for all my furballs."
I like the look of em too. JDeck is usually involved in some great OTC Project so I really look forward to his updates, especially the TESB ones.
Ajunta pall is back with a big Clones Update...

It is great to see em all. I really am enjoying seeing em back on REBELS too. I hope they get new armor!
Starchaser is back with an EU Update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, October 30 2015
"Here is an attempt at a Squib from the EU (first from the West End Game and then in the comics). His name is Spiceefelius-mifram, but he goes by Spic. Spic does not work for Squib Merchandising Consortium like most of his species, he is an independent. But he is still in the salvage business."
I sure like the look of him. I need to research my alien species a bit more for SW, I didn't even know this one existed till Starchaser's post.

"ust about done updating all Hasbro Cantina figures. Here a new batch of SA figures: Wuher, Labria, Kabe and Boshek!"
I am gonna be sad to see it end! These are really showcasing how bad we need figures to move. Stan could replay all the movie scenes with his figures.

With over 30 points of articulation these new Stormtrooper and Darth Vader 16" Figures seem fantastic. Checking in at $130 a piece I gotta wonder how many of us will pick these up even when they go on sale? Still it is great to see figures this detailed!

Focus on eBay Power Seller Sinodolls...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, October 27 2015
After featuring the last story sent in by Sjefke, I took a look at over 300 plus offerings on the Star Wars Front. They are cheap, there are a ton of accessories, the feedback is good so go get yourself some cheap stuff. I know if I planned to have a dozen or more figures in a dio, etc. this would be my go to supplier.

Sjefke puts us onto some cheap fodder for joints!
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, October 27 2015
"This Asian seller offers these in different ways. BIN and straight auction. Sometimes cheap with about $5 shipping, sometimes for more with free shipping. I've been watching them. Even the straight auctions go unbid. The price works out to a little more than $1 for 14 POA figure. Tan uniformed figures are a little boring, but if you just want to harvest the ball joints! It's really economical."
What a great way to get some cheap fodder! Matter of fact if you want Star Wars Figures, eBay Power Seller Sinodolls has a ton of Star Wars Fodder too!
Ajunta Pall is back with a REBELS Update...

"Some SW Rebels W.I.P. I've been working on...
1) SEVENTH SISTER INQUISITOR
2) Unknown female BOUNTY HUNTER/MANDO
What can I say I love the ladies."
Nothing wrong with that! I am really liking that Bounty Hunter!
Ron Hembling continues his latest Cantina Dio...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, October 27 2015
"Back onto the cantina dio and I have been working on the table, I have used a PVC plumber pipe connection and removed about 1/2" off it to get the rough size. I glued plasti card to one end and cut and sanded it back and drilled a small hole into it.
The light is a piece of semi hard plastic that you get covering paint brushes and I cut the size off I wanted and then glued a thin piece of plasti card to that and trimmed and sanded it.
I used a fake battery candle light and as you can see by the pictures I have added some plasti card inside so that the main part of the table will fit over the candle so that a new one can be replaced when it's needed.
The tube in the middle is to reflect the light into the light on the table and it will look better once the table is painted."
Such a cool light up feature. Is there anything Ron can't do?
Stan is back with even more SA work...

He gives us a few more Cantina Patrons in full super articulated glory. Wouldn't it be great to see Hasbro do something like this for the majority of their action figures?
Ghost Skull 18 articulates the new 12" Finn...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, October 27 2015
"Finn is made from 12inch 5poa , the base is a gijoe body , the jacket is custom made, the shirt and pants is from my 12inch fodder/softgoods box. the head, feet, and gun is from the 5poa."
His description showcases how important it is to have a good fodder box. I just got a 12" Kylo Renn as a gift yesterday and man it is a hunk of plastic. Ghost Skull 18 really improves the playability of these figures other than large paperweights!
The Clonehead reviews the new 6" TFA TIE with Pilot...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, October 27 2015
"More for pose than play with the tie is my take. It looks pretty good, especially on the inside where there is good control detail for pilot and gunner. Seems like the quality we expected in the 3 3/4 line of vehicles with better materials and slightly better paint apps.
I took a few pics of the pilot to start. His plastic seems on par with the other recent offerings of this scale with pretty good paint apps. I can't tell if it's the material, the blister shape, or the design that makes him look a bit bow legged coming out of the box. He is fairly arty though."
Click here for the full review as some of you will definitely want to look through the plastic bubble before buying your behemoth!

Ron Hembling is back with a mini diorama...
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, October 24 2015
"I took a very small break from the commission work I have been doing, I picked up a few of the new micro machines figures for my son and got myself the AT-ST and Luke and Scout on speeder bikes.
I decided to do a small dio with the AT-ST which I cut up and repositioned, I then painted and weathered it using Vallejo paints.
The base is a table top from a old Figma figure and the ground work is spak filla mixed with brown paint. I glued the AT-ST down first then added the spak filla and once the spak filla dried I lightly dry brushed it dark brown and flat earth colours.
The trees are small twigs I got from the garden and the leaves where made using tree kit from Woodland scenic and the bushes and shrubs are from Woodland Scenics and Army
Painter."
Is it any wonder why I count Ron as one of the best in the hobby. He constantly amazes me and I have seen him make some awesome things.

Hole in the Ground Productions is offering Diorama Pieces!
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, October 21 2015
"The long awaited Death Star styled (“Battlestation”) wall panels are now available for order! 3 different wall panels and 2 floor panel options. All sold separately so you can mix and match and add on however many you choose and in whatever order. Check out the webpage for more details.
Please keep in mind when ordering that I usually get backlogged on new diorama parts very quickly. So it could be 3-4 weeks even if you’re order is made fairly quickly. I would’ve stocked up more ahead of time but with all the different options, I have no idea what will likely be ordered in what quantities.
These will not be the only panels I will be making to fit in with the Battlestation theme. More will come but right now I will be switching over to Starship corridors as I want to give everyone a little something they’re interested in.

Mandalore25's other Jedi...
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, October 21 2015
"Second, I made a Male Vuvrian jedi, with full leg articulation.
One of my disappointments with figures with legs like this is that hasbroken never made them fully articulated, even if the rest of the figure is, ex. geonosians, wioslea, Voolvif Monn. So I though I'd do it myself. I took the upper arm of the base figure, put it in where the knee was, then turned the lower leg of the base figure backwards, and attached it to where the elbow would go (adjust the feet accordingly). Really wasn't difficult at all, and he stands just fine, curious to why hasbroken never did this."
Makes sense to me. That picture will get you to a link where you can own this one too. We all need more Alien Jedi in our lives!

Mandalore25 drops 2 new Jedis on us...
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, October 21 2015
"Made a couple custom jedi yesterday, first off a custom female Ishi Tib.
She features a ball jointed head now that I modified the original by drilling the hole wider (about the exact same size as the neck nub so it's very snug), and put enough clay inside so it the heads sits where I want it, then moved it around to round out the inside. Worked perfectly, and look at the side pic the head only covers enough of the nub to stay on, so there is a huge range of motion to it. I also cut the hands off the Ishi Tib figure, glued the hands on the base, and then sculpt the lower arm to her new hands to make her as accurate as possible"
Clicking the image above will get you to a link you can add this one to your own collection.

The Resistance gathers tomorrow. Watch @ESPN’s Monday Night Football for a new look at #TheForceAwakens.
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, October 19 2015
"Monday Night Football is getting some visitors from a galaxy far, far away.
The latest trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens will debut at halftime of ESPN's Monday Night Football (8:15 ET/5:15 PT) tonight. The trailer, which fans expect to be a little more revealing than the two that came before it, will be the final full-length look at the film before its premiere on Dec. 18.
After the trailer launch tickets will officially go on sale for The Force Awakens, as well as for a seven-movie marathon event that will show every single Star Wars film at theaters around the country.
Lucasfilm announced the new trailer while premiering a new poster Sunday, which gave fans their first peek at Carrie Fisher's return as Princess Leia and a new mystery to mull over in the form of a large, circular space station that looks an awful lot like a Death Star."
Well now I will have to stay up to at least see this!

We had a slight weapons malfunction, but thanks to some diligence and foresight we were able to get rid of some of those pesky mynocks and get back to full power, including making sure the hyperdrive was working I might add. It was pretty cool to see our ISP bring about the full weight of the Empire today, not only to get us back up and running, but taking care of some pesky REBELS SCUM!

I-am-Boba-Fett gives us an awesome Ziro the Hutt...
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, October 18 2015
"Here's a custom ZIRO THE HUTT done in a more realistic style instead of the animated style seen in the Clone Wars show. This is a commissioned piece made for a customer of mine. I resculpted the facial area including the mouth, nose, warts, and eyes. I opened up the areas around the eyes to make the eyes bigger. I handpainted all of the tattoos seen on this custom figure. Then once all of the tattoos were dry then I painted the yellow tattoos and Ziro's eyes with flourescent paints so that they all glow under blacklight.I custom made Ziro's flower/feather adornment for his headgear from artfoam that I cut and painted. I made Ziro's custom headgear and it has three strong magnets embedded in it that attach to strong magnets that I embedded into three areas of Ziro's head. This allows the headgear to attach/detach easily to/from Ziro the Hutt's head.Once all painting was completed I painted a light blackwash over the entire custom Ziro the Hutt figure."
This looks absolutely phenomenal in a black light! What a great update.

The ongoing saga of the Toys R Us Exclusive Snowtrooper Commander...
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, October 14 2015
This is really hitting well in many areas and I have seen pictures of people finding multiples posted on Facebook, but for yours truly and many others in rural situations like myself who rely more on internet etailers rather than toy store runs this one is getting about as frustrating as trying to get an SDCC First Order Trooper in your cart and checking out on Hasbro Toy Shop! I was able to get to the place where I thought I had it paid for only for it to come up with none found. Argh!!! And does their email me when available feature actually work? I know I have signed up under two separate emails and it has been available again three times that I know of since I signed those up. Cmon Toys R Us! Click here to keep checking throughout the day and if you don't see me posting someone email me if you see it is back in stock so I can let others know as Toys R Us sure ain't gonna! Ok, morning rant over I think!
UPDATE: Its back in stock as of right now. Hurry, Hurry Hurry!
It is back in stock at of 3:34 PM! Still in stock as of 3:56 PM too! I hope you were able to order one!
Get that hard to find part from Clint's Toys and Video Games!

We have all been there. You need one piece of one action figure and you don't need the whole thing. What do you do? Most of us bite it and buy the entire thing knowing the parts we don't need will collect dust. Well let the Clonehead save you all that waste by getting just the part you need. From helmets to heads to other great parts and accessories you will find exactly what you need at a great price.
Some of the things that are popping out to me right now are:
Custom Resin Finn Head for 6" Figures
Custom Resin Flame Trooper Head for 3 and 3/4" Figures
Custom Resin Captain Phasma Head for 3 and 3/4" Figures
So, there is a lot of Force Awakens love in addition to some great parts combinations you won't see anywhere else. Tell him you heard about him from the Tamer!

And soon, they’ll have the power to save lives and help provide therapeutic food packets to kids around the world, just by getting active. Target is teaming up with the U.S. Fund for UNICEF to help bring UNICEF Kid Power to households and students across the country. To kick-off the partnership, Target will be the exclusive retailer of the Kid Power Band—the world’s first “wearable-for-good.
The one-size-fits-all UNICEF Kid Power band retails for $39.99 and comes in four colors: blue, orange, and two special Star Wars: Force for Change editions in black and white. The bands go on sale at Target.com beginning Nov. 29, just in time for the holidays, and are available now for pre-order. They’ll also be available in select Target stores beginning in 2016.*
*For each UNICEF Kid Power Band purchased in US Target stores and target.com between 10.13.2015 and 12.31.2016, Target will donate $10 to United States Fund for UNICEF."

Now, we're excited to launch HeroMe Girl - a line of customizable female superhero action figures. We know the power and importance of a child's imagination, and we're excited to add female figures to inspire the creativity of all children as they write and tell their own superhero stories."

"It has been some time since I last posted.. I know.. where does the time go? Well, in my case I've sold a house, shared a house and finally built a house over the last 18 months. With that, the new house is coming along and I was able to build and finish my workbench this weekend in the garage, which gods be praised has allowed me to at last dig out all my craft material..
On top of that, what a time to be alive right? TFA!! coming in just a few short months... Plus all the new stuff and things being released I couldn't help myself I just had the itch to paint, and really anything. It's not a large piece (those are coming) but it felt so awesome to paint again.. I give you..
The Red Osprey, YT-1300R (New MF micro machine, but not the TFA one)"

Star Alien 70 is back with a Femme Trooper Cosplay AF...
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, October 11 2015
"Not posted for a while, thanks for your comments and shares on the cantina figures. I’ve got a few more customs to post, so I’ll start with this one.
Female Stormtrooper (Femtrooper Cosplay):
I never got the Joker Squad battlepack, so I wanted to make my own female stormtrooper. I intended it to be just a modified stormtrooper with a female head, but then I started playing around with the parts and decided to base it on a femtrooper cosplay style. I wanted to use mainly stormtrooper parts, but I found the stylised clone parts were more suited (and the Captain Rex chest piece is the soft plastic type which made it easy to swap)."
Wow, she looks absolutely gorgeous to me! I am sure the female cosplay community will give her a great reaction too.
Halnarthax87 is back with an arty fix for the new Ahsoka!
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, October 11 2015
"My hopes for Ahsoka were realized with Star Wars Rebels, a cryptic seemingly helpful but slightly dangerous entity turns out to be our wayward padawan. And then they were good enough to give us an action figure of her... sad figures aren't what they used to be in terms of articulation. I fixed that."
He did at that folks, it is just fantastic to see the movement in her. What a difference it makes to get realistic poses.
Ron Hembling finishes his 6" Faclon Diorama!
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, October 11 2015
"I have completed the Falcon, I added a fuel line by using an old extension lead and some irrigation hose. I glued the two together and then used plasti card as the metal brackets and secured it in place by using think plastic rod.
The static charge cables are old head phone cables and the static base was made from pieces of plasti card 1/35 parts and plastic rod."
Folks hands down this is one of the best looking dioramas I have seen. Click on through and make sure you scroll around. Start from the initial work in progress and work your way through. Talk about a journey!

He also shares the full recipe for a custom that for me is the most definitive version of this character I have ever seen.

Sjefke is back with an awesome Yakface Custom Figure...
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, October 9 2015
"Hey Yarders, A few weeks ago, I scored a POTF2 YakFace and showed off some improvements I had made to the head. I wanted to go further with the whole figure. As usual, it's a big mish-mash of parts. I'm coining the term "Franken-figure".
The body needed a complete makeover. The rubber cloak is ugly. He needs way more articulation, and the hands are oversized and cartoonish. Using just a The Corps action figure and a few spare ball joints, I got him to 14 POA.
I put a ball joint onto the wrists. The original POTF2 hands are way oversized, so I sculpted new ones over the Corps figure's hands."
Folks, that is just the start of the awesomeness that is this update. We don't have to worry about Hasbro as long as custom artists like Sjefke are around to really show what a figure could really be!

This week we feature another much needed SW Offering...
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, October 7 2015
I have decided to make Wednesday our what do we sorely need and try to show you where to find it day. Last week out we featured some of the awesome 6" Soft Goods Cloaks by one rickhor409 and we got a most excellent response.
Well today I am back with a way for you to get a 6" Han Solo in Carbonite. This was part of the exclusive SDCC Boba Fett Offering that got the six inch line started and Hasbro has said that we may see it again offered singly down the road. Evidently that road is still far in the distance as there isn't even a hint of a rumor of this seeing retail again.
So, I am here to show you that there is hope. eBay to the rescue. You can right now get three different versions of this on the proverbial find anything place. From High to Middle to Low End Range with a range in price from $59 dollars to $25 dollars you have what seems to me to be three pretty good choices for how to add this to your collection if you weren't able to score that pricey SDCC Exclusive.

Ron Hembling continues his epic 6" Falcon Diorama...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, October 6 2015
"Finished the Falcon and just now need to do the base. With the Falcon I painted and weathered the ramp and gave the ramp and the hull a very light wash of watered down matt black.
Once the wash dried I then used pastels to bring out the streaks and panels and then gave the whole thing 3 coats of matt varnish. I still need to add dust to the ramp but will do that once the sand base is done.
Added lights to the bottom of the Falcon by using the fake candle lights. Sorry for the crappy pics I can never get good pics when there is light and in the dark."
I don't think these new pics with the lights are bad at all! Man, what we all wouldn't give to have something like this to display our 6" Figures in.

I must say this one is downright gorgeous. Hasbro would have a good mine if they released her in this outfit.
CloneTroopr is back!
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, October 6 2015
"Hello there! I haven’t updated in quite a while it seems. Been a bit busy with non-SW customs, but here we go! The Imperial Commando, the next stage of the Republic Commandos, wasn’t something that was explored much in the EU. The only “no-longer” canon source we had of the Imperial Commandos was a novel and its dark cover art. The features of the armor were purposely hard to see. The only other time we got to see Imperial Commandos was in the Force Unleashed video game. The Imperial Commando armor was an unlockable costume.
With so few reference images to choose from, and the variability in design, it’s no wonder that I couldn’t find one version of this armor in custom action figure form. This was all I had to work with.
I modified a super-articulated Republic Commando action figure. The helmet has been heavily customized to look more sinister and Stormtrooper-like: the visor was deepened, vents were added, the breath vents were made bigger, etc. I also scratch-built a backpack for the figure from transparent plastic.
What I’m most proud of, however, is the vibroknife that is attached to the figure’s fist plate. In the game, the player could quickly eject a vibroknife from the knuckle plate to take down an enemy. To reflect this, I made a small vibroknife that could be attached or removed from the figure.
I hope you like my interpretation of the Imperial Commando!"
Wow, now that was some description. I must say I was gonna cut a bit of it off, but it really lends to the overall effect of the figure.
Ghost Skull 18 super articulates the 12" Kylo Ren...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, October 6 2015
"Kylo is made using a 12in 5poa figure, the head an hands were modified to fit the super articulated body. The pants are from a darth maul an the boots are from vader. The rest of the outfit was cut an sewn by me. The belt is made from a foam strip with the belt clasp cut from the 12in 5poa."
Now that is some fancy needlework. It is great to see customizers refusing to accept 5 POA. I think it sends a great message to Hasbro that folks want the action put back in their action figures.
BDC41866 gives us a new SWTOR custom...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, October 6 2015
"New custom time. I have been playing a lot of SWTOR lately, leveling up several characters before The Fallen Empire update. Got inspired to do this Heavy Weapons Trooper. The McQuarrie concept figures are some of my all time favorites, and they really lend themselves to customizing. Enjoy!"
Talk about a great parts recipe of this one. He packs a big ole gun too. That just equals win win to me.
JKNO reviews the Sideshow Scout Trooper with Speederbike...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, October 6 2015
"SSC Scout and Speederbike arrived. Easy assembly, the only issue I had was with trooper's belt being too wide and I used some hidden tape to hold it up as it should have been in the first place. A nice set of figures, 8.5 out of 10."
Serg knows his Imperials. Like really knows his Imperials. 8.5 from Serg means this is pretty daggone nice. We will see how he elaborates on this in the coming days.

He also started off with a snazy black and gold version too. I must say I can see why he likes them. I really need to watch a few episodes of Dr. Who, I bet I would really like it.

-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, October 4 2015
I found this last evening posted on our Facebook Page. Talk about Spectacular. In my opinion something like this should have been featured in our beloved film series a long time ago. An Imperial TIE Mech just makes perfect sense!
I also found out he has this one up for grabs on eBay too. Look for a separate news story to follow this one on those details.

Hot off the press are a few new 6" TFA Customs, Resistance Pilots this time out. I can only sit here and hope that he might make a to scale X-Wing for one of them to fly in.
As anyone who follows HALCION's Work he sure is known for creating vehicles and dioramas for his figures to populate. He is daily taking the six inch line to new levels.

"Did some minor add ons by adding a few more raised panels by using plastic card and also scribed the larger panel lines to make them a little deeper.
I also added the battle damage by using a dremel and cut out the base that the Falcon will be on and finally decided to make it a docking bay 94 base."
Folks, this one is sliding into the home stretches and pardon my baseball puns but he it taking a home room and turning it into a grand slam.

I just featured it from the official site, but after reading the first three chapters I had to do another article. It is our beloved A New Hope told from a new perspective. The artwork and new story line do nothing but add to the original framework too.
I just couldn't stop till I was finished with all three chapters. Click here to go get started. And please share this with your friends and on the various social platforms you frequent. We have to keep this going!
