Mandalore25 is back with a Sith...
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, January 30 2015
"As much as I'd like to add to my "Jedi Overload" (thanks Tamer, I found that quite amusing), I have a sith I named Darth Mavros. I see him as more of an Inquisitor or sorcerer sort of sith, and had I a holocron, I think it would have added to his look." Looks good to me M25!

Star Wars Rebels: "Caught by Kallus"
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, January 29 2015
"In this clip from the Star Wars Rebels episode "Vision of Hope," Agent Kallus and his men surround the Ghost crew and Senator Gall Trayvis -- but help may be on the way." I just got caught up this weekend on all the action. Looks like they are back into trouble yet again!

Star Wars: Battle Pod - From Concept to Cockpit...

Mandalore25 is on Jedi Overload this week...
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, January 29 2015
"Life is good when there's enough time to to work on figures, and I quite enjoyed this one. This is Navo Odak, a Rodian Jedi Sentinel. Personally I was thinking further into the sentinels, and making him a Jedi Shadow, where he hunts down traces of the darkside into whatever cesspool they may lurk. He even has a yellow lightsaber." He also has an eBay Link if you are interested.

Have you seen Most Wanted Collectibles' Artwork Section?
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, January 28 2015
With just a huge assortment of some of the best artists licensed by Lucasfilm, I was really taken with the Anticipation of Hope Giclee by W Silvers. You can bet Yoda has his eye on our duo as soon as they made orbit.

Make sure you take a took at MWC's entire Artwork Section as there is a huge assortment to choose from, many of which you will be hard pressed to find today. And with MWC's commitment to keeping their prices low on high quality collectibles you can rest assured you will pay a low price too.

Darth Daddy showcases some lightsaber action for the REBELS Sith Inquisitor!
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, January 28 2015
"Modification of Hasbro's 3 3/4 inch Star Wars Rebels Inquisitor lightsaber." Works for me!

Mandalore25 shows us a quick update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, January 28 2015
"I've got another Jedi, this one's a Chiss I named Zass'orel'doma. Trying to get rid of some inventory I've had for a while now, then I'll take on some bigger projects so they don't sit as long. If your interested, here's a link." I was so hoping to see Chiss in Episode 7!

Bronxstalker updates quickly with a new Mando...
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, January 28 2015
"And for all the SW fans, here goes my latest mando. I really like how this one turned out. I went back and forth as to whether or not I should make the helmet removable (was initially thinking of gluing it on the head), but decided to go all out." Here is the eBay Link if you want to ad him to your collection!

Sith's Herald is back...
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, January 28 2015
"Hale Reveals Darth Omen's Holocron: This was a collaberation between myself and an extremely talended artist on The Star Wars Artist's Guild (Swagonline.com), who goes by the screen name of Tusserk. I had some "story moment" images I had drawn and I knew I would not be able to do the coloring justice and put forth what I had in mind. Image after image from Tusserk has shown how she can make light and reflections dance on a page, so I asked if she would be interested in working together on this. This is the result." Color me impressed!

JDeck builds a gun mount...
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, January 28 2015
"This is the coolest thing I've made all day. Its an articulating machine gun mount for my cupola. Its made from the black series stormtrooper E-11 folding stock and a small piece of tube connecting it to the DLT-21 repeater. This isn't the final position, I need to build the rest of the cupola. I'll work out the kinks as I go." Looks pretty good to me so far!

Attend Virginia Comic Con on February 7th!

Art de Whill shows us some X-Wing artwork...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, January 27 2015
"Huh, two years no updates... well, such is life including me quitting this kind of works but there are still some pics which I did not showcase here and I think I kind of owe you a look at them. This is based on a photograph of a x-wing model kit and was commissioned by the SW fan club of Belgium. Join the Rebellion!" Nice, very nice!

Starchaser is back!

He comes back with an update of three new custom figures. I really like the combos he comes up with. He includes the full recipes with his updates. It is all just a click away!

Bronxstalker checks back in with an update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, January 27 2015
"I know you guys are probably getting tired of my non-Star Wars customs, but here goes another. This one is of DC's supervillain, Deathstroke. He's of my own concept design, because usually Deathstroke sports a full helmet, and I decided to have him sport a face mask of sorts. He was made from a 4.5 Hyperion figure, and every single armor piece is fully sculpted. I've put him up on Ebay just in case anyone is interested." I for one would like to go on record as saying I am not getting tired of his non-Star Wars Customs! We like all genres, not just SW, at Imperial Shipyards!

Mandalore25 is back with an update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, January 27 2015
"I have an Aqualish Jedi I've been calling Eero Toga." I think he looks spot on for that SW Alien Race. And folks if you are interested, here is an eBay Link if you want to add him to your collection.

Jetpack Blues is back...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, January 27 2015
"Haven't been terribly active with customizing again but vowed for New Years to get back on the horse. Here are the first two WIPs Ive been cobbling together. A Boba Jr (or young Boba) and a guy I was curious about when I picked up the 3 3/4 version of him and thought it just looked like a red Boba Fett with a different pouch or two. I've honestly been unable to find any real photo references for Dred Priest which I guess gives me room to make him the way I want and still get away with saying this is him." I like his takes on both figures.

Commander Kurgan gives us a new Trooper...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, January 27 2015
"Somehow I can't let go of the no-paint kitbashes. I received two Clones today which should have been Battlefront multipack Sharpshooters, but they turned out to be Commander Keller minus the white poncho. Well, I should have insisted on getting pics of the figures before sending out the payment... Anyway, I gave Keller a kama off a TCW Rex I had in the parts bin and added the belt buckle and ammo boxes off a spare Clone ammo belt." I like the distinctive markings on the armor of this one.

Clonesniper78 reviews some soft goods from eBay...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, January 27 2015
"Picked up some soft goods on e-bay for my 6" Jedi Luke. I really recommend picking this up for your 6" figures. They also have some Mando ponchos in different colors. The cloak looks more regular brown in real life." Go see the eBay Seller rickhor409 who makes some nice soft goods folks!

Anovos lists the AT-AT Driver Ensemble...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, January 27 2015
"Drawing lineage from the feared TIE Pilots first introduced in STAR WARS EPISODE IV: A NEW HOPE, this Imperial driver variant utilizes select reference from existing AT-AT Driver ensemble artifacts at Lucasfilm Archives, featuring details never before seen or realized on licensed costumes. Unlike other items that may proliferate the illegal rogue markets outside of the Empire, all armor pieces and buckets feature finished interiors for the maximal comfort and efficiency of the driver. That also includes the environmental / air features built within the helmet, allowing the helmet to be worn longer periods at the time."

Art de Whill is back folks!
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, January 26 2015
"Hello everyone! After a longer break I am finally back with a little update and new stuff I am working on. You know I basicly do fine art modern type paintings but I also discovered certain graphic art stuff, photomanips and things and so it happened that I thought about doing some fan art again - at least from time to time, Hey, I am still a scifi/fantasy fan ;-) I was thrilled by Iron Pandas custom figures and he kindly gave me permission to turn his fem scout trooper into a graphic artwork my way. But enough babbling, here's the pic, hope you like it!" Well I think it is great on two fronts; first, the artwork is gorgeous, two, seeing Stefan back puts a smile on my face.

Clone Crazy is back with a new series...

Ron Hembling improves Bandai's Vader...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, January 26 2015
"I got the Bandai Vader in the other day and as with the Stormtooper I was not disappointed. The kit has great detail and the build is very simple and as with the Stormtrooper the articulation is excellent. Vader - As mentioned is from Bandai and has been built straight out of the box except for the robes which were replaced with the Hasbro Vader. I also added a belt using leather and made a saber clip using wire and the saber has had a small clip added to it so it can be attached to the belt. Vader was painted using Vallejo and GW paints and I used mister sheen which is a furniture polish to polish the helmet to give it a more gloss look." I gotta admit it seems this one rules over Hasbro's six inch version.

JDeck working on a new vehicle...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, January 26 2015
"I started piddling around with my repulsorlift TX-130t. I built this gun based on the design of what I think is the most badass gun the 88mm FLAK, it was used as antiaircraft, anti-tank, anti-infantry. used on ships, tanks or as a stand alone artillery. But anyways, These guns are completely scratch built using styrene tubes and rods. I also used parts from my greeble collection." I like the look of the gun, reminds me a good bit of the vintage death star cannon and we all know that is one of the best cannons every produced!

Kualan is back with a new chapter of Tales From The Clone Wars!
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, January 25 2015
"I'll create some extra pages on the Tales From The Clone Wars website for the supplementary material, I think. Expect to see it soon! But for now, here's the next issue! Issue 11 - Intrigue!" Folks, rest assured you will get hooked just like me on the wonderful artwork and story-line from Kualan. In my humble opinion he takes The Clone Wars into such interesting directions and I want to thank him for giving all of us a TCW Dose in an age where REBELS and Episode VII is in the forefront. There are still a lot of folks out there who feel they were left hanging over the Sarlaac Pit a bit when it comes to that timeline and Kualan is just continuing it nicely.

I can't get enough of TS Hobbies' Display Stands!
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, January 25 2015
"Heres my latest offering, this ones for the Amazon & TRU deluxe Slave I." He makes note that the ship is not included, but I think these stands are just the Wampa's Paw (closest thing I could come to cat's meow) when it comes to displaying that loose collection. Don't forget to check into his entire For Sale Section as there is just a wide range of stands to choose from!

Ron Hembling turns the Bandai Stormtrooper into something amazing...
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, January 24 2015
"Hi All, I have completed converting the Bandai Stormtrooper into a Sandtrooper and I am very happy with the end result. As you know I used the Bandai Stormtrooper and used the Hasbro Sandtroopers backpack and ammo pouches. I gave him and the equipment a complete repaint and weathering using Vallejo paints and pastel chalks. The base is the one that comes with the figure kit and I just covered it using plaster of paris and mixed sand into and then applied it to the base and then painted and weathered using Vallejo paints." Folks, talk about amazing. I am gonna have to get my hands on at least one of these Troopers. Thanks a lot Ron!

Fiala Fernbrugg is back with an update...

Christoph is back with just a fantastic Imperial Ski Trooper with custom diorama. Couldn't you just see these troopers in action against a Rebel Spy skiing down some sort of alpine terrain! It always amazes me what customizers can come up with!

The Iron Panda is back with some modeling madness...
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, January 24 2015
"This model is a little EU inspired,in fact is has no existing "real-thing"...I won a Revell Star-Trek Kazon Fighter modell kit at a Convention and since I'm no Trekkie I didn't really know what to do with it at first...When I looked at the parts i saw familiar"greeblies" on some of them and I thought, it looked a little like a smaller MonCal ship and there I had it! I got the idea to built my own small Mon Cal ship based on the Kazonship." Wow, to say this is awesome is an understatement. There are multiple images to peruse in his update.

JDeck is back with a custom figure update...

"Tonight's Friday night figure is a Rodian rebel." Short and sweet and too the point. I think it looks pretty good.

TS Hobbies creates a new vehicle stand...
-- Posted by Tamer on Saturday, January 24 2015

Iron Panda is back with an update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, January 23 2015
"I have just finished a new 3 3/4 inch custom. It's based on the Black Series Biker Scout, with a new head kindly provided by my buddy Volker aka Commander Kurgan. I had to change the hairsculpt to get what I want but I turned out fine. Again I sculpted over the joints and painted with acrylic colors. The base is the Dagobah-base that came with an R2 D2 figure, I just added new groundwork and used lasercut paper ferns from the Railwaymodeller's section(from "Noch") and paper Oakleafs from czech manufacture "Plusmodel". I glued every single leaf one piece at a time to make sure it looks convincing and not overloaded with Details..." Uh, wow!

My Kind of Scum is back with an update...

I have only attached one pic has everyone by now has seen reviews of this figure but the only thing I did was raised the neck a few millimeters so it wasn't sitting on the shoulders." This is the entire BOX PROJECT from the clone wars Enjoy!" Folks this is just a great example of what customizers can create when they put their minds to it. We may never see Hasbro make these figures, but Chad sure did a wonderful job showing the Big H what if!

Clone Troopr is back...
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, January 21 2015
"My first Star Wars custom figure of the year! Can't believe I haven't posted one since September. This here is Kal Skirata from the Republic Commando novels. I did some researching via Google Images and saw that, though many customizers had made a version of him in his Mandalorian armor (I did too, heheh), there weren't many of him in his civilian clothing. With the limited reference images I had, here's the final product. Enjoy!"

Camo Deafie is back with an artwork update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, January 21 2015
"These are three concepts of TIE fighters...the top one is for a New Generation TIE Interceptor, I am not sure how many generations after the ROTJ ones would this be.... the pylons are hexagonal in cross section like Vader's TIE but instead of being perpendicular to the TIE ball. The middle one is my take on the TIE Clutch series mentioned in some EU texts, but redone in such a way that the TIE ball has viewports and side hatches on the sides where normal pylons would be, and the three pylons are placed behind the main ball... And the bottom TIE is basically a redone TIE Fighter, hex panels but bent outwards instead of inwards, and pylons completely different." Trust me there are a lot more to peruse than those three too!

Darth Daddy is back with a REBELS Update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Wednesday, January 21 2015
"My next custom is an accessory for a figure. As soon as I finished creating the extended bow rifle for my custom Agent Kallus action figure, I knew I needed to create an extended bow rifle to use with our Zeb action figures. Especially if we wanted to recreate that epic battle between Kallus and Zeb in the Rebels episode Droids in Distress." It sure does look pretty spot on to me.

Bronxstalker talks about ProCreate...

I tried it on a few things like shoulder pads, foot armor, etc. I gotta say....this may be my go to epoxy (not even sure if it's "epoxy"). I've never used greenstuff, so I'm not sure if it's like greenstuff. My only experience is with Aves and Milliput products. So far, from the very little I've used of it, here are some things I've noticed."

Clonehead shows us his WIP for the latest custom challenge...
-- Posted by Tamer on Monday, January 19 2015
"Some years ago, I did a similar mod on a smaller scale helmet to make a phase 1 fox. This time, I want to try an AOTC Commander Cody. I had fought for a bit with different types of material, trying to fab up that cowl, but ended up pouring small sheets of resin and cutting the cowl pieces from that. Using a sideshow version of the bucket as a guide, I did what I could to emulate the curving of the cowl with my material which was another reason for using the resin as I cold manipulate its shape with heat to adjust where needed." Folks the work on the bucket alone is already mind boggling. I can't wait to see what he shows us next. Don't forget all you need do is make a Star Wars Six Inch Custom Figure and you can get in on the latest challenge too!

Spuda Fett finishes his Custom Challenge Build...
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, January 18 2015
"This is my contest entry for the 6inch figure contest. I didn't want to clog up the contest thread with all my extra photos but I still wanted yall to see them (there are even more posted to my facebook page, so follow the link in my signature).

The figure wasn't that hard to do. The most difficult part was sculpting the details for the helmet. I didn't get them 100% accurate (the jawline of the helmet is too wide I think) but I think it's good enough. Had I thought about it before paining I also should have sanded it lightly with fine grit to take some of the exacto blade marks off the sculpt.... oh well.

The belt is scratch built using faux leather strips and wire for the buckle and accents. The bomb is a random piece of fodder painted silver.

The thing I think I might be most proud of in this build is his mortar/rocket launcher. I used the small 1:18th scale figure's for a reference and built this one out of 2 super glue caps, a gi-joe BAMF rocket launcher missile, and styrene for the handles.

And of course the at-rt itself is the scratch built walker I did many months ago." I think Devin just did a bang up job and it is great to see his AT-RT get a Driver!

Darth Optimus is back!
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, January 18 2015
"Hey, guys! Happy belated New Years! I'm back with a new line of customs. This is a fantasy-based line, inspired by the "Forgotten Realms" line of books and gaming products. First up is Gilgesh, a pale Orc Warrior equipped with the mighty warhammer "Skullcrusher". This is an original character and is a full repaint of a TRU "True Heroes: Mythical Warriors" Orc 4 pack. The warhammer is from a "Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nog" bad guy. The last pic in the series is a 'before" shot. The rest are coming..." He sure does look fantastic to me and good to see you back DO!

Candy Blues continues his Darth Plageuis six inch build...

"So its kinda been 1 step forward 1 step back this week. So I got to a good point with the belt around Wednesday, and started to notice that my torso was to long again,
and the neck was also long for my taste. So I went back and fixed up the torso. little shorter now. Still need to work on the neck." This is really going to be an epic build as the attention to the smallest detail is being paid here!

Huttman shows us more views of his Jabba's Palace...
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, January 18 2015
"Thanks again! I never could get a clear shot of the second trophy head either so I completely make a critter up. I might have found a clearer behind the scenes photo since I carved him (balsa wood, as with the TaunTaun), but I figured they change periodically so what-the-hey. Here is a clearer pic of the trophy room. POTF2 action figure Boushh. That dates this pic a bit, doesn't it?" Folks, this one doesn't have any image enhancements and the realism is just uncanny!

JDeck is back with a custom figure update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, January 18 2015
"Tonight's Friday night figure of the week is...Mon calamari X-Wing pilot. A.K.A. Anto Akraf. As a citizen on Mon Calamari he saw the struggle of his people in the hands of the Empire. He decided to take action and fight back. During a routine Imperial exercise he mounted his father's old Republic era fighter and shot down half the convoy. He instantly became a fugitive and eventually joined the Renegade Squadron." I like this mix of characters.

Spuda Fetts getting almost there on the latest challenge...

"I think it is shaping up to be a pretty good likeness of the smaller version. The helmet isn't perfect, theres a few things off... I also still need to make the backpack and add a few other minor details. I should be able to finish it over the long weekend if I get a chance... What do you guys think so far?" Looks pretty daggone spot on with the three and three quarter version to me Devin! Make sure you read the full custom challenge details and get cracking!

"So I decided to take the first 6" Deadpool I made and redo him. Back when I made him, I was still learning different painting techniques and looking back, I wasn't too crazy about him. So, I stripped him of all his paint, re-did the paint job, and added accessories which he didn't have before. Let me know what you think." I think he did a great repaint!

JDeck finishes his holographic base...
-- Posted by Tamer on Friday, January 16 2015
"This is my Holographic Transceiver all finished up its not flawless but it makes a cool background piece. Not bad for a days work. I got the idea from the SW Battlefront command post. Im building a dio based on the game. I wanted to create a practical use and reason for the hologram. I imagine it is a portable transceiver with repulsorlift engines to aid in transportation. Its used for holographic transmissions, mapping and technical information. It also gives the commander a real time view of the battle while staying in the rear with the gear. Its equipped with a self destruct mechanism in case it falls in the hands of the enemy." I like this!

It might be time to head to Target...

It is still showing out of stock online, but I am assuming the find in a store option will start registering real soon. "The DPCI is 087-06-1382 if you're trying to locate it in stores." Thanks to our friends at JTA for the notice.

Sjefke does a great thing for a friend...
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, January 15 2015
"This one is a bit of departure for me. A JTA buddy of mine lives in Ohio and was interested in a custom Stormie.
Apparently, there's a guy in Cincinatti who loves his Bengals and his Star Wars. The result was a Mash-up mascot, the Bengal Trooper. I tried to talk him into a 6 inch Stormie, but he insisted on a 12 inch figure ... with 5POA. You're my bud, PaulB, so here you are." I really like this one folks, even if it is 5 POA Jeff!

I bought this Jedi Interceptor snap-tite kit last year and it has been sitting on my bench in pieces for quite some time, so I decided to have a go at it, and do it up ServO style..." Get your questions in for Hasbro!

Our roving reporter extraordinaire Dan is heading back to New York the second week of February to attend this year's Toy Fair so if you have any questions for Hasbro here is the place to post em. We have already been told that no SW: The Force Awakens Product will be showcased or discussed so be aware of that when forming your questions. They have assured us though that there will definitely be a large Star Wars Presence, etc. so be sure to get your questions in.

JDeck shows you what to do with an old watch...
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, January 15 2015
"I built this holographic transceiver for an Imperial Modular Command-post. I built it using a cheap broken watch I had sitting around. I gutted it and added a mega chip LED I also added some greebles to the outside to make it look less like a watch. Towards the end I was going for an Imperial Probot look. Eventually I'll put the SW Miniatures General Veers hologram on it but I'll use this saga series holo figure for now." What a great idea here!

Huttman shows us his corner!
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, January 15 2015
"Greetings! I want to post this teaser of my Jabba's Throne Room. I started this project over ten years ago and when it wasn't life taking over it was a dvd of Return of the Jedi where I could see a less grainy picture of something I had to update and then blu ray and then archive photos on the internet...well, I put this off long enough. This pic is taken with an old camera so when I get around to revealing the whole room they will be better photos. This pic is not altered in any way. I always have had an eye for detail and I believe the trick to a good diorama is the lighting. I have been inspired by so much talent on these forums and look forward to diving in to them and my project more when time permits. Until then..." Now what a great way to introduce yourself! Welcome Huttman!

The helmet is a Clonehead-made hollow resin ARF Trooper helmet which I painted and weathered. The holster and Blaster pistol are from the parts box. I cut part of the original pauldron off so the articulation of his right arm is much better now." Its always great to see new work from CK.

Its a new episode of the Realm Recap...
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, January 11 2015
"The holidays are over but that hasn’t stopped the fireworks this week as a lot of news and confirmations surrounding Hasbro's plans for 2015 have come to light. The big news this week was several lists of proposed product for The Force Awakens made their way online. Although nothing incredibly revelatory, there does seem to be no holding back in terms of merchandise. Target also gets a large spotlight this week as they’ve started implementing a new price for The Black Series that has caused quite a response from collectors. Is this an isolated event or will other retailers follow suit?" This dynamic duo gets you the news you wan't all in one setting!

Elias sends in an update...

"Our first custom action figure post for 2015. Even though it is our first post of the year, this action figure was actually made in 2014. While we were visiting for the week, he saw us make custom action figures for the blog and was really impressed with our ability to make our own toys. So much so, that he asked if we could make a Noa and a Cindel for him last Christmas. He really liked what we made him, so this holiday, he asked for some of the baddies from the same film. We thought it would be fun if we made him a Charal action figure." I would Elias' Cousin is gonna be very happy with his new baddy.

Bronxstalker checks back in with an update...

"Here's my next custom. Some of the pics came out blurry, but it's because my wife and I got a new camera, and I'm still learning how to use it. It's a custom I made of a character from a comic series called Youngblood (Image comics), and his name is Diehard. He is made using a Marvel figure, and stands about 4.5" tall. He has some sculpt, and was painted and sealed. I love the articulation of these marvel figures, too bad they're too bulky for Star Wars customs." Matter of fact if you like this one you can even add it to your collection by clicking this link.

How much are you willing to pay?

"Here is some WIP pics of the figure I'm doing and it's from the fan film Makazie One - http://www.makazieone.com/. Due to moving in just under a week I thought I would get at least one figure done for the comp just incase I don't get a chance to do anymore. I have started filling in the joints and have added the neck cover by using AVES fixit sculpt, the karma is from an old piece of material I had in the cloth box and everything else is the standard 6" Hasbro Stormtrooper. I have added a reference pic to show what am after." Talk about looking great so far. Don't forget to check out the full custom challenge details so you can get started too!

"Vodo-Siosk Baas is now completed! I appreciate the anticipation to see this one's completion, and it's a pleasure to be revealing it. One of my favorite bits about this figure is that it's entirely made from an ep. I Kenobi and Magic Sculpt. His cape was rather tedious, but it's really just a rectangular piece of brown cloth with an oval connected to it cut as one piece, and strategic points sewn together for ruffles and proper shape." "So what I'm gonna do with the utility belt is I gave a basic form first off using a material called castaline. This stuff is made for lost wax sculpting/casting, but it holds shape really well and I can remove from everything with ease, when i complete my mold. After i make a mold of the pelvis/belt area, ill remove the castaline belt from the pelvis. Then ill take plasti-dip material that I've been messing with, and smear it in the recesses of the mold where the belt would be setting. Ill put the pelvis back in, which will form to the plasti-dip close it all up and let it cure." It is definitely coming along!

"This is the Revell Germany 1:30 scale X-wing snap kit. I must say that I wasn´t to excited when it was released in 2013 so I got mine very recently. I saw this one on the off-sale in a local supermarkets toy section for half the price, so I finally got myself one. It´s not as good as,say, the Kotobukiya 1:35th scale X-wing,and-having a koto in my collection-I decided not to super detail the Revell kit and just focus on the paintjob. I always loved the original blue markings on the X-wings so this was the perfect opportunity here to do Blue 4." Just another great paint job from IP!

I was very pleased with what he came up with, that I just needed to paint it.it may look a bit "overdramatic" with the metallic blue and red colors on the armor, but I always wanted to do one of these...I made a small base from plastic scrap and bits from the parts box and there she is." JDeck is back with a diorama update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, January 8 2015
"Been working on my Imperial era war ravaged Naboo courtyard wall. Inspired by southern French architecture I made it the same way as my street Bluefoam and Spackle. I still need to wait for my Ocher watercolor paint to come in but I painted it a concrete color as a primer undercoat. I'm also putting on some burnt vines and all that and some rebellion graffiti." Looking good JDeck!

Ron Hembling finishes his 6" Snowtrooper!
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, January 6 2015
"Finally done I have already given the recipe for the trooper and the base was done by using marine foam and then built up using plaster cloth and left to dry. Once dry I added plaster over the base let that dry and then painted it different shades of brown and then added the snow by using a mix of PVA glue and spakfilla." Talk about fantastic folks. Ron never ceases to amaze!

Mandalore25 is back with an update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Tuesday, January 6 2015
"This is my custom Dathomiri Nightsister, or a Sith Witch, or both, never really decided. Just had some fun with this one, painted the cloth to make it match, some while it was on the figure, some before applying it. It depends on it's purpose, I find hanging cloth parts better work painted before, stuff directly attached better paint on the figure due to some paint seeps through the cloth helping it adhere to the figure." Matter of fact, this one is up on eBay if anyone really likes it!

Ron Hembling combines Star Trek with Planet of the Apes!

It seems the fine folks at Rebelscum have their Bothans had at work as they got some great product information you can see here. Probably the biggest things that are getting me excited is a vehicle in the six inch line and a return of micro machines!

Ron Hembling creates a 6" Snowtrooper!
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, January 4 2015
"While I'm waiting on figures to arrive so I can finish dios and commissions I thought I would whack together a Snowtrooper together using parts from left over figures, I still have to fill in gaps and the joints and then paint him up and make a small base for him. The Snowtrooper is a combo of a scout trooper's torso, legs and biceps and the chest, helmet, forearms and shoulder armour are from a Stormtrooper." Maybe he needs to wait on stuff awhile longer if he is creating things like this out of just fodder bin material!

Mandalore25 is back with an update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, January 4 2015
"This is my "Tails of the Jedi" style Mon Calamari Jedi. Not sure about the outcome of the figure, and I'm not sure what it is, too many contrasting colors to where it lacks a focal point? Though since I put the head back on that seems to be a god focal... I don't know what it is, feel something is off about it. The scaled shoulder armor got a bit muddied in the center, I think due to them being squashed while adding more scales. To remedy, I think allowing them to dry layer at a time will help, though will cost tuns more time. Loving the head though, especially because I got the eyes matching quite well, and the hole head was white when I started." I like it personally!

BlackThorne is back with a dio update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, January 4 2015
"It's been awhile since the last update, but I believe the wait will be worth. Here is the first phase of my Jabba's palace diorama." I know one thing if that is just the first installment we are all gonna be blown totally away when he is finished!

OC47150 gives us an update...

"These last pix are some of my favorites. I'd been wanting to create these customs for a while but thought simply painting them wouldn't do. So this summer I came across the Men in Black 3 figures at Tuesday Morning, and the rest is history. I took first place in my club's customs contest with the group. The weapons are from various GI Joe figures." Tell me you don't think this rendition is great!

JDeck is back with a diorama update...
-- Posted by Tamer on Sunday, January 4 2015
"Been piddling round with my civil war ravaged Naboo courtyard. Built the street section the tile streets reminded me of cobblestone which gave me some inspiration. Took some bluefoam and covered it in Spackle added the grenade holes, tile lines, and painted it. I'll build the wall soon enough." Looks pretty nice to me already!

OC47150 starts up a custom thread...
-- Posted by Tamer on Thursday, January 1 2015
"This is a custom Gran I made for a diorama for my SW club's diorama contest. I modeled him after an Old West snake oil salesman, in particular the guy in The Outlaw Josey Wales. If you've seen the movie, you know who I'm talking about. He's a simple repaint but in bright colors." I know that movie quite well and its one of my favorites!
