Star Wars Trilogy 1995 VHS QUSTION??????

I would like to know if the 1995 Star Wars Trilogy VHS pictured below has any of the changes like on the DVD's. I was looking for the original movies like shown in theaters with Han shoots first. Thanks!!!!!

Yes! Anything made before 1997 is original theatrical.  I was able to find some 2006 DVDs  that had very slight changes but no CGI or added scenes.

Great, I'll be sending them off to be professionally transferred to archival DVD's.

Which 2006 DVD's do you have?

I'll have to check when I get home. But they were sold as a 2 pack to each film. A bonus Original version and SE version.
   The changes were subtle they just added subtitles in Jabbas palace that didn't need to be there, because 3PO was translating. Other than that I love them, that's the only version I watch.

But the original version will have black bars on top and bottom and sides when viewed on a widescreen tv. Also, the video quality is not as good.

They're formatted for wide screen picture quality is same as VHS. same exact thing as the 1995-1996 VHS but wide screen DVD.  It has black stripes top and bottom. If you transferred a VHS directly on to DVD it would be boxed in on all sides.
  I want to watch star wars tonight anyway so I'll take a picture of the screen with today's newspaper.

Unlike the Limited Edition Widescreen DVD set, at least from what I remember before they disappeared at an ex gf's place.... the 95 VHS set have better color/picture quality than the "direct from Laserdisc" Original DVDs.
I am referring of course to the THX Remastered VHS version of the OT.

He's right it is a copy of the laserdisc. Its a great DVD to have, extremely rare if you find one at a good price grab it with both hands. A word to the wise different countries have different zones on the DVD players. I accidentally bought a zone 2 European  DVD instead of a zone 1. I have no idea why they do that but be careful.

For those that have the widescreen VHS version, how much does the letter box black boxes cover your widescreen tv compared to the newer dvd's in widescreen format?
