In the immortal words of Barney Stinson, challenge accepted! I haven't customized a TFA figure yet.

Glad to hear it folks. I bought myself a Flamethrower Trooper to see if I can, at the very least put some good arms and legs on that dude. I think just those simple things are gonna push "meh" figures into something that folks will really want to collect.

I am not sure how just needing articulated arms and legs adds so much to the cost (regular TFA Figure with 5 POA to Wal-Mart Black Series Prices) pushing up the cost to over $6 to $7 dollars per figure, but I am also hoping with this contest that we can get some good base figures to use for the arms and legs (for the Imperials and Heros) and then figure out the cheapest place to buy those figures or find suitable parts that move!

does it have to be 3 3/4th or can they be made from the 5poa 12inch figures?

FINAL ENTRY:

All finished on Kylo ren.

Recipe is:

1 warlordarian (stripped of all armor except greaves)

1 kylo ren 5poa figure (head/hood, and shoulder scarf)

some soft goods for waist
most star wars skirts would work, I'm not 100 percent on the origin of that one (I'm sure someone here will know)

Articulation at head, shoulders, elbow, wrist, knee, mid chest, hips, ankles, and legs to hip

Kylo Ren is perfect. Just perfect. Exactly what I envisioned when I thought up our BDay Challenge for this year. Off to share.

I hope other folks can use your recipe to good effect just like you did and thank you for sharing.

Dammit, I've been so busy with incoming baby prep I didn't realize there was a new contest going.
Also, that's some amazing work by DarthStreams.

Ok, so I may or may not actually get around to finishing this guy up, but I wanted to take a stab at putting an entry together. Things by me have been pretty hectic and I didnt even realize until two days ago there was a new contest up. I haven't checked the forums in a while so somehow I'm sure someone has already done this guy better than I am capable but whatever, haha. The recipe is simple. This clone (no idea his name/designation anymore, he was just in my fodder bin), a little sculpt and paint. I could have made it easier on myself to find a guy that was already white...maybe i will

needless to say he needs some smoothing and some gloss before he's done

I am new here but I would like to participate. Just finished a Kylo Ren figure with 20 points of articulation (I wrote 18 on the picture but forgot about the wrists that swivel but also pivot).
More images here:

Recipe:
Head and cape: The Force Awakens 5 points of articulation Kylo Ren
Belt: Force Awakens 5 Points Of Articulation Kylo Ren, removed and shaped with a rotary tool.
Torso: G.I. Joe Steel Brigade modified to fit a Star Wars head
Arms: Marvel Universe Spiderman with sculpted sleeves
Upper Legs: heavily modified and sculpted armor Rise Of Cobra Pitt Commando
Lower Legs: G.I. Joe Dreadnok Zandar
Hands: G.I. Joe Retaliation Snake Eyes
Skirt: I think it was from a 6 inch figure. It was in my fodder bin.
