well, I know I won't need to get the mri done again but starting the entire process of finding a new doctor, getting apointmets, another diagnosis... etc... it's just frustrating.

I would find the neuro doc right now so when your regular doc tells you you need to see a neuro you will be ready. I will admit though it is a big ole pain.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging - not sure on the how-details, but it's another way to scan the insides of the body to locate physical problems.

Ta Doc...

I'll probably go back to the same neurologist I did about 3 years ago in paducha...  I used to (and still do to an extent) battle migraines on a daily basis and I had been to several doctors and nuerologist looking for relief...

that's a whole nother story complete with it's own set of mri's and about 10 EEG's and a whole lotta other crap...  make a long story short they finally told me "we don't know why you are having migrains, here take this see if it helps" that didn't work and they'd say "try this" and it would work for a month or two and then quit.....  I finally went cold turkey on all medication I was taking at the time except for some anti-depressants and overnight saw an improvement.  Now I only get migraines about once a month where I'd had been getting them every day!  Imagine that....

Sometimes I think that doctors play the milk the health ins game as in, lets see if we can draw out the patents illness for as long as possible so we can get paid for that many more visits from him.

I know they do! for goodness sakes they made me schedule a doctors visit just so that that the NURSE could fill out my handicap parking application for on campus parking!   ::)

the doctor says that I have to see a specialist back surgeon... Idk yet if I'll HAVE to have surgery but the family doctors says it's most likely.  I'll keep ya updated when I find out specifics...

Daggone Devin, I had hoped you could have avoided surgery. Still, I hope if this is the case they can schedule it soon so you can start your rehab and get rid of your pain!

man... my week just keeps getting better and better.

I went to the back specialist today and he basically told me that I can either take it easy and let the disk heal on its own or have surgery in a few weeks if things don't get better...

to make things worse as soon as I got to the doctors office this morning I started puking... I don't think I have the flu but rather I'm having trouble processing a big bowl of ice-cream I ate last night...  I don't usually drink/eat any dairy product other than cheese and it's killing my stomach today.

and to add to my problems our debit/credit cards for my bank account were being declined today and when I called to check on it, because as of last friday the ballance on the atm had said a little over 2300.00 and I knew we didn't spend that much this weekned....  turns out that for 3 months Dawn has had a card suposedly for my account... but everytime we used it the charge was put on someone else's account and left off mine.  They found this out just today and transfered ALL the transactions she had made over to my account and it took my account down to -300 bucks...  Luckilly they didn't charge us an overdraft fee but they wouldn't do much else for us stating that it was our "responsibility to keep track of the amount by reciepts and the checkbook register..."...  which admitedyl we hadn't been doing a good job of and would have prevented this problem had we realized what was going on sooner... what ticks me off is that the bank screwed up and then didn't call and tell us today.  I'm sitting here thinking I've got at least 1000 bucks extra to use for whatever and I'm actually negative.... \

BLAH!....  Life sucks...

apparently not when they know who's money it was... I'm thinking about just leaving the account alone as there is no deposits into it... and just saying to fooey with them and not paying them the 300 bucks!

but that'll probably come back on me eventually

well, an update on how my back is doing...

I've been taking it easy all weekend best I can and I've actually been feeling realy well today.  I was actually able to almost stand completely strait again and not be doubled over to my side when I walked.  I still had trouble though after being up on it for more than 10 minutes...

I'm in the middle of a complicated home situation right now... Dawn and I are taking some time apart and I'm moving in with my parents and she is moving back home with her mom... so I may not be on the forums much while we get things worked out, packed up and moved...  It's going to be a trying 2 weeks as we have to be out of the appartment by the 4th...

Devin, I"m really sorry to hear this, you know how much I like Dawn and you guys seem to fit pretty well.

Sometimes a little break does a lot of good, my wife and I took a small one in 2004, about 8 months before we got married for a few weeks.

It was good, in our case, we figured out we were in it for the long haul, but I've had friends who decided to call it quits.  Then again, my  pal Troy married a lesbian, she cheated on him for seven years, then they split up.

Truth be told, you guys are going through some really terrible stuff, I don't think any of us can really appreciate the extent of your struggles, but I'd like to say, if you need anything man, let me know.

Thanks simon, I appreciate it.  I think everything is going to be for the better.  It's just going to be a massive migraine for the next two weeks untill everything gets settled...
