Jodo's (Old and New) Collection
« on: May 08, 2015, 12:16:48 PM »
I dug up some of my old collection pictures to share, since I felt inspired to do so. I sold a good chunk of the carded figures, and opened most of the other part of them. Some of these pics are probably about 12 years old, so you might have to give me a bit of a break! I think this is almost all my Hasbro stuff, though I do have some GG busts and props that aren't pictured as well. Enjoy the trip down memory lane! And check out how ugly that green paint is, LOL.

First we have the MOC figures:

My loose vintage collection/costume WIP shelf(the other two shelves of loose figures aren't  really worth showing):

I was also displaying my AOME Helm's Deep playset, which is still amongst my top favorite things I have. I wish I had a nice place to display it right now:

Then the stuff that set above my desk for quite a while:

Then the dreaded closet, which may or may not have been a death trap/paradise for a young dork. I was actually allowed to keep my clothes elsewhere so that I could do this. In hindsight I am so glad my family allowed for me to do and have all this. As a kid it took a ton of self control to earn/save money to purchase all this stuff, and even more devotion to not open everything:

Then let's flashforward to today. I transferred to a different college and had to move, so I now have some of my stuff in my office:

If I could get my girlfriend to stop putting books on the bottom shelf I'd be able to use that one as well!

And here is the "cube holder" as we call it. There's my Indiana Jones set-up, Batman and his BatMotorcycle, Guardians of the Galaxy, and an Egyptian box from Disney that I store all my other Indiana Jones figures in. My girlfriend's Cinderella stuff is there in the middle, and you can also see my Legacy hardback comics, and my Joker Glock. Also, I hate the green carpet in this apartment with a passion.

And thankfully my family let me keep my room back home, so I ended up using most of the closet for storage, however I dedicated one side of it to displaying figures, because I couldn't help it!

Love the dios. How much of this do you still have?

Off to share on the front page.

Thanks for sharing!!!!  ;D

I have everything that's still in the diorama pictures and in my office, however I only have a fraction of the carded figures. I sold a lot of them, traded some, and opened others! The loose vehicles I still have as well,  but they're boxed up at my grandparent's for safe keeping. I also tossed a lot of the empty boxes that I was using for displays.

That's an enviable collection.   Wow!
I swear I saw a cantina diorama almost exactly like yours on ebay with a But It Now of $1799.

Thanks guys!

And wow, that's a lot of money! I plan to eventually detail all these dioramas with set pieces, flooring, etc. I actually have a few cantina alcoves ordered, so someday it will look much better!

Thanks for checking it out guys! Looking back I can't believe how much effort it took for me not to open everything...Which was weird, because as an adult I'm now an opener!

I recently added these display cases for my Astromech collection thanks to my girlfriend! I think there's still 8 R2's, 2 R4's, and 5 R5's I'd like to get. After that it's going to throw off the categories, LOL.

Back home, I rearranged some furniture and was able to sneak two new shelves in! I'll probably rearranged them several times to see what looks best; however this is my tentative set-up!

Since becoming single last month, I've been able to change a few things up in my apartment. I swapped the office and bedroom, so now I have more shelves and such. I'll take some more pics of the individual displays tomorrow, but I now have three shelves of Imperials, a comics shelf, Tantive IV, Tantooine, 2 Scariff shelves, Indiana Jones, The Outlander Club, detention block, Star Tours, and Hoth. Eventually I'll also have my custom Blue Leader X-Wing here, and something else for the other shelf...

Meanwhile, back home, I ended up putting a lot more props on display!
