See how it seems a little "faded" from the matte coating.

I think it looks cool, like a weathered and worn look. It makes the camo pattern stand out. The camo pattern is awesome BTW.

I agree with JDeck - the camo on this guy is great! I don't think the vibrance of the color is a problem with the matte finish - it feels a bit more realistic to me. You have a better perspective, both on what you want to achieve and on the actual color (doesn't always translate perfectly in pictures). I really appreciate seeing the whole chessboard set up, that looks most amazing!

Wow, that chess board! Off to share!

How many games have you played on it so far? One of the neatest projects I can remember. I really don't think the figures look that shiny. Of course I also don't think you one Camo Troopers looks too faded either. I think you would be fine either way. Wow, just neat work.

I'm loving your chessboard project. Do you play games on it, or is it mainly for display?

WOW mate they chess board and pieces are bloody awesome and the clone camo is perfect mate, the matt spray has done it's work perfectly as the camo paint apps will fade a over time.

That chess board is fantastic!
I do like your camo pattern. Reminded me of tiger stripe camo. It looks good

Fantastic.  What an amazing project.  And the detail on the individual pieces is insane.

Thanks everyone!  Yes, I've probably played a handful of games.  But after putting so much time thought and energy into it, I started using my little wooden foldout table if I ever wanted to play!  Mainly just display it every so often.  I'm working on cutting some foam with a hot wire to put the pieces in a plastic bin when not on display.  Didn't know foam cutting was as complicated as it is.

I supposed I will just leave the camo alone.  I think I also need better lighting.  Instead of single light source at night, I'll take some new pics in the daylight, with multiple light sources.

I've got like 10 more projects I'm working on, but I want to share my late-Clone Wars diorama that includes, I think 2 MicroMachine scale ATAPs, 1 AAT, and the concept ATAT that came with the Action Fleet Hoth ATAT.  It's my early-Empire diorama pretty much showing early prototype walkers on an assault, moving past an old Separatist AAT that they just knocked out.  I'll grab some pics later.

Upload a picture of pre-painted diorama.

Are you trying to use the attachment system or a bbc embed code? Pictures seem to be working fine both ways for me. We can get this figured out.
