Hello! Here's some of my customs (AT-AT, TIE, ect.) UPDATE: Wedge!

Hello!
Well, I was pointed to this site by a fella named Flyguy, and I thought it'd be fun to pop in and show some of the things I've been working on.
I kinda stumbled into this kind of thing, having never done much modelwork, much less painting.  It started a few years back when I started making movie props from scratch, then thought "I've always wanted a nice Star Wars display piece".  So I started doing research, and my first was an AT-ST, and I ran kitbashed hoses and greebles and whatnot, getting my head around this kind of thing and learning as I went.  I'm in the middle of a move, but when I get settled in, I'm going to start a couple of new projects, with integrated Raspberry Pi motion controlled items and better lights.

I'm always looking for new things to learn and mess around with.  When I finish the move to Nashville, I'll be ready to dig into some more cool stuff...

Wow, color me impressed. I absolutely adore AT-ATs and you have a winner there. That AT-ST is jaw dropping too, heck they all are. FlyGuy is a good friend of ISY and just good people in general. I am glad he pointed you here. Off to share you first posting to our front page.

Thanks!  Glad to be here...

I have to say that the AT-ST is my least favorite, as it was my first attempt at anything like that. I will be taking a crack at another one, and I think the head will have enough room for a small servo to get the chin gun to go up and down.
I'm also gonna take another pass at the Falcon, I like to step away from things and get fresh eyes on it. Although it's strange, anything i work on I can't see it in it's completed state, I just see the steps that led there.  The AT-AT itself is about 20 or so layers, not including the detail paints.

I can't wait to see some video of some of your stuff moving. I would even be willing to load said video up to our YouTube Channel for more exposure if you would like. Just great stuff!

Yeah, running something on a Raspberry Pi comes down to two things: space and power. It's going to take a lot of tinkering, I'm planning on having the first be the AT-ST (head turning and gun swivel), but then the big one I have my mind on is a shuttle with the lights, and animated wings.  It'll be awhile, but should be a fun learning experience!

Hey everyone!

Ok, finished up my Wedge Snowspeeder. I've been trying to wrap it up before I move, and I'm happy with the way it came out. Still need to add co-pilot janson, though.
