I really like your focus on Comics and Expanded Universe! A Republic Commando with removable helmet is a great idea! I think I've seen one by Clonehead, too!
Also the Mando looks aweome! I agree with the head and the backpack looks extremely well on your Mando custom! Keep up the great work! You seem to be very hard-working on your projects!

Thanks. Here's an older Republic commando I did. Kinda a covert/special ops commando.

A couple more customs.

A Kanan Jarrus Jedi figure if he served during the Clone Wars.  The Kanan head fits nicely on the CW Obi-Wan figure, and a little paint makes him a little different.

A super articulated FO stormie Finn. This is one Hasbro should've gave us, IMO.

In the Mos Eisley street scene, when Luke, Obi-Wan and the droids are rolling into town, there's a non-descript guy just walking down the street. He intrigued me. Used a farm boy Luke figure, repainted the legs, and made a vest out of brown felt. May need to work on the vest a little more.

Finally, a sith acolyte. Used a Palpatine body; the sash is from a Maul figure. The head is a Joe Zartan painted two shades of grey to look sinister. The cowl is from a Kylo Ren figure.

I have a few more figures in various stages. Will post them in the coming weeks.

I haven't commented much lately (actually not at all in several weeks), so I'm just catching up. You have done a great job with all these updates.  I particularly like the Gand Jedi and the use of JP head for a tattooed Mando (great idea!). Keep it up. Oh, and I like the generic desert rat - we need more filler figures.

Thank you. I have a few new figures in the work and will post soon. Customizing is my way to relief stress. It's cheaper than therapy.  :P

First up tonight is a SA Kanan Jarus in stormtrooper disguise. Bought a spare Kanan on sale and had an extra stormie lying around so I put both to use.

This next one I tossed together just last night. I won't take credit for the ideas; I saw someone else customize this figure recently and it gave me the idea. I attended a toy show earlier this month and found a spare Dash in the $1 box and used one of my extra Rebel pilots to make Dash Rendar, Rebel pilot at the battle of Hoth.

The next two are straight repaints, but I wanted to do something different. So I used bright colors and say they served during the Old Republic.

I still have a little touching up on this last Jedi. I was going to use a different head but came across this CW comic book at home, and it fell into place. Trying to get him a green Jedi cloak. Dying one of the dark brown robes with green Rit dye isn't working.

A couple of Rogue One customs for a Friday.

The first one is a Rebel commando I created for a customs contest on another sight. Sgt. Zayne Dremine is a pathfinder whose used to being first-in, last out on Rebellion missions. When he heard about the Scarif mission, he immediately volunteered even though he knew it was a suicide mission.

When this contest was first announced, I consulted the RO Visual Guide and trading cards, etc... for inspiration. After the research, I kept coming back to my original idea based on a WWII British paratrooper/commando. Someone who was rough and tumble.

Recipe: I used the arctic combat Snake Eyes with the hood removed. The torso is painted and dry-brushed multiple colors of green, brown and tan. Wanted to capture the look of the British Dennison smock. The legs are painted/dry-brushed brown and tan.

The head, helmet, rifle and backpack are from the Endor Rebel commando that came with the '07 tin set. Love the head sculpt, and couldn't find another that captured the essence of RO as well as this one.

The bandoleer is from IG-88.

The mines tucked under his arm are from a GI Joe set.
