Attack of the Sand People
« on: December 17, 2014, 10:32:04 AM »
Here is my diorama of the attack on Luke Skywalker and C-3PO in the Jundland wastes of Tatooine.  Constructed of a cardboard base with a packing foam for the background/rocks and styrofoam for the "landscaping."  A textured spray paint was used for the base along with acrylic paint.  Lots of spackling, dry brushing and a spray bottle with watered down paint were used quite a bit.  Figures are from a variety of post-Kenner collections; there was no Massiff in the movie but I figure it could've been "just off screen!"  It's not totally movie accurate but rather movie-inspired.  Hope you enjoy the photos!  Any critiques or suggestions/ideas are appreciated.  I have a youtube channel under my name Joe Eversole and a twitter account under the same.  Thanks!

This is the one scene I can remember clearly when I saw Star Wars for the first time, and looking at these pictures took me right back.
