Coming along great, have you done any more to it?
I've been working on it slowly. I'm kinda stuck where I'm at. Trying to mesh the crane and the AT-TE frame and still look good. I fooled around with it today some, ruled out  a few ideas I had. I may just use tubes to frame it all up. The idea is to have it look stripped down, like a Y-wing sort of, in the back. You know I like to over engineer everything. I'd like to show the giant servo motors and inner workings.

This is a very interesting concept.
Really liking the AT-MPV (all terrain multi-purpose vehicle) or whatever you're going to call it. I've been thinking about something similar, just not on such a grand scale. I'll look forward to the final product.

Thanks guys! I think its the most practical use of an AT-TE, for the Rebels. I'm not sure what to call this contraption, I was thinking The C.R.A.B. (Construction. Recovery. Armored. Base-defender.). I went ahead and threw together the crane frame. Its made of model kit frames, attached to key structural parts of the vehicle. Now that the hard part is done, all the other parts should fit as intended.

Looking good. I am anxious to see this finished product too. Like the crab name. Off to share.

BTW, thank you for putting me onto Hobby Japan. In a week where all my SW stuff arrived damaged the package from them with the Star Destroyer showed up pristine.

Looks good so far. I like the way the parts seem to fit together.

Thanks bud! Kitbashing of this sort takes a lot of cutting and test fitting, along with a vast amount of model kit parts. The two frame pieces were actually meant for the 20mm FLaK, but  in 2 different scales grey 1/35 and tan 1/48, for some reason they mashed up well for this application.

I added more greebles to the rear. I gave it a bunch of brackets and braces, to make it look stripped down. Once its all painted the same color it'll look better. I'm not sure if I want to add the front ball turrets, they aren't my style. I was thinking since the crane assembly is detachable, I could build other variants, like AA gun, backhoe or flatbed.

Thanks guys! I gave it a German grey primer coat, but then it rained, AGAIN. Fortunately it dried before it started, but I couldn't put on the main coat. This gives me time to think about how I want to do the details.
