SDCC 2014 News and Reveals
« on: July 19, 2014, 06:06:06 AM »
This is the thread to post all of your San Diego Comic-Con news as it pertains to anything you have found that you want to share. Please, if coming from another source, please give credit to the site or source where you found the original information. Its just considered the right thing to do.

First off for me, I got an email from VANS ( seem like a kind of action sports (skateboarding) apparel company that is making some awesome shoes, shirts, posters, etc.

"VANS Releases Limited Edition Vans x Star Wars™ Posters at Comic-Con 2014
Join Vans at Lucasfilm Pavilion for Vans x Star Wars™ Designer Signings July 25 & 26

This season, Vans took off for a galaxy far, far away to launch the Vans x Star Wars™ collection for fall 2014. The collaboration brought the best of both worlds, with vintage Vans prints infused with iconic Star Wars™ artwork. To celebrate the successful project and to thank fans for their support, Vans will release these unique prints as limited edition posters exclusively at Comic-Con San Diego.

Join Vans in the Lucasfilm Pavilion at booth #2913-V on Friday, July 25 and Saturday, July 26 for a special signing with Vans x Star Wars™ designers. Vans designers Taka Hayashi, Calvin Garcia and Tony Munoz will be on hand for this event. See flier for specific times.

Check out the fall 2014 Vans x Star Wars™ collection at http://www.vans.com/starwars and prepare yourself for Vans x Star Wars™ round two coming this holiday season. May the Force be with you."

I might have to get me a pair of these just to go to conventions or make site appearance as the shoes sure look comfy.

Rebelscum has great Bothans. There is a full gallery up of the Hasbro Booth already:

I also noticed something a little disturbing about that new TIE for the Sith Inquisitor:

See the hot glue they used on the lower left wing where the solar panel hinges? That sure doesn't look strong enough does it!

Well found out a few things even though I didn't spend too much time online today. Looks like that ship I posted on is gonna be a Target Exclusive along with the Phantom.

This got me excited a bit:

I loved the Koto Display (compliments of Galactic Hunter)

Star Wars.com has a pretty cool area:

I am sure I didn't see it all and I keep hearing rumors of a six inch TIE Pilot from Hasbro too.

They probably broke the display model. I have seen this type of quick fix before in person at several cons.

Dan, thats what I am worried about. I know sometimes when boxes get shipped things get broken, but lets face it, for the stuff they use for con display they are usually pretty careful with it especially if its in the proto stage.

This, I think, was definitely not. Still, it seems to me that is a place where this could break rather easily with even moderate play. I mean these are all supposed to be for kids right? ;D

ToysRUs has listed their exclusives up for pre-order already. Probably the best set so far is the Danger at the Docks Set and it is still in stock. I passed on the Cantina Showdown, but its there too.

JTA got a great look at the Hasbro Booth too:

Anyone else notice something a little wonky about that REBELS Sandtrooper?
