General Rieekan looks great, I wish we saw more of him in the films. If I may ask, what head did you use for your Commander Narra figure?

Thanks, Goldleaderone. That head was from Elite Force Navy Seal Diver -Codename: [Forg]

Great process, looking fantastic!

Thanks, Stan. Carving out the boots is more challenging than I expected.

Excellent work, off to share. Can you show us what dremel bit your used and some of the process? You sure have achieved wonderful results here!

I should have thought to mention it, Tamer. I always assume I'm late to the party and just discovering how to do things everyone else already does!

I used #84922 Silicon Carbide Grinding Stone on the joints (bottom right).

I used the tip (like a pencil) to grind down the hard plastic disk at the center and used the side of the tool to grind down the surrounding areas where they seemed to rub together. I only did a little at a time and then did a dry brush of paint on the joint to see where it still scraped and needed a little more paring down. It took about three tries to get the Rieekan arms to move with no paint rub. It was a challenge to shave off just enough at all of the contact points that they move freely without taking away so much as to loosen the joint or make it look awkward.

My latest custom debuted (via hologram) in my Instagram photo story, yesterday.

Here is a better look at him.

General Rieekan is comprised of three figures. The torso, head, hands, upper legs and boots (spats) all come from the original figure. The neck peg, knees/lower legs, ankles/feet are from Medical Frigate Luke and the arms are from a Hoth Han figure.

I'll replace the boots if I happen to end up with an extra set of Hoth shoes somewhere down the line. Other than that I'm somewhat pleased with him.

Darth Daddy inspired me to tackle one that I've been putting off. Wouldn't have thought to use Bom  forearms.

Starting out prepping the POTJ head since I have a few extras and it's my favorite sculpt.

Love the General. Off to share. I would love to see Hasbro do something like this to this figure. Bravo Sir.

I would love to see a link to that photo novel too.

Much thanks, Tamer!

I was able to complete the smuggler Lando that Darth Daddy inspired me to finally tackle.

Right now, it's just a photo series on Instagram and Facebook. The FB album can be found here:

He's not terribly interesting but he is in the cantina so I was determined to give him an upgrade over the old version I did back in the 90s.

Here's the update:

Props to Jaeger45 for the helmet suggestion!

Great work on that conversion. It is so nice to see better movement in custom action figures.

Off to share.
