The ranks are simply arbitrary notations of how many posts you've made. They don't really count for much outside of keeping track of who posts a lot.

This post tells the size restrictions for a banner, but after you've made one, you simply upload it to an image hosting Website and then link it here in your profile.

Hosting site. What is a good img hosting site and will it tell me how to link it or will you have to help me with that too :P

No worries; we're all here to help each other.

I use Imgur for all of my hosting needs, as they are free, host your images without changing their size or quality, and can store 240 or so of your images at any given time. Another Site you could check out is Majhost, another free image hosting Site.

To use them, you simply make your image, make an account on the Site, and upload the image. When you're done uploading the image, simply copy the image's URL (which you can do by right-clicking on the uploaded image and clicking "copy image URL") and then pasting it into your profile page, under the "Signature" area.

EDIT: Here's a handy post with images illustrating how to do this.

Its also too large.

Max parameter for an image in your banner are

560 pixels wide

by

70 pixels in height.

I will give you a little bit to get that changed. Welcome to ISY.
